Des Moines Realtors assist homeless youths

Iowa Homeless Youth Centers received a $3,000 grant from the Des Moines Area Association of Realtors Foundation to use for the Buchanan Transitional Living Center, a program for coed, unaccompanied youths aged 16 to 21. While in the program, the youths receive support in setting and achieving educational, vocational and personal living goals. They also focus on developing healthy living habits, attending to physical and emotional health issues and establishing positive relationships with peers and other adults.
