Vegetable Garden

The weather is getting nicer already. In few weeks summer season will be here. This time of the year is the best time to start planting vegetables in our small backyard. Last Wednesday we went to the farmers market here in the town and we bought different kinds of vegetable plants for our garden. My mom planted all the plants that we bought. We don't have a big garden but we still have space for more vegetable plants. This coming Saturday is farmers market day again ( they have it twice a week). I am planning on buying more vegetable plants like tomatoes, cabbage, and squash. My Mom has been waiting for this kind of weather so she could start working outside the yard especially the garden. Gardening and farming has been her way of relaxing herself.She don't have to stay inside the house all day on this weather. Back in the Philippines, she works hard in our mountain, taking care of our farm and coconut plantation that's why she's so eager to have a vegetable garden.

For almost a year that I spent my time doing my task as a full-time medical student in complying different tasks from different subjects totally different from freshmen type of life that is not more bombarded with different topics from different chapters and references to study for a night only then followed by a quiz in the next day thus it's very relaxing to have a day of rest and not just a day of rest but a long day of rest. Basically what I'm doing during that day is that I'm compressing my activities to do should I say my all hobbies (e.g. sleeping, eating, surfing the net, malling and chatting with friends) considering a bulk of task and I'll also consider it as a reward for myself that I finished in a week bravely and diligently excluding from side problems as human being that students normally experiencing about it (blah blah blah :] ) and while relaxing and doing my hobbies I must be ready a day before the class will resume because everything will be back to reality and that is normal.

If I can speak on be half of the sentiments of my friends and classmates or even all students that it come to the extent that we even prayed and hoped to have a long day of rest for this and even in the point that we impossibly hope that the clock will stop for a moment especially if we given and bombarded with many tasks and to have many sleepless nights and only time that we can usually gain this is only weekends or special holidays declared by the government. Collectively, considering all the works and tasks that are finished for almost a year, should I say it is not sufficient to have only weekends, holidays, semester and Christmas breaks to unwind for the sake to overcome and face our own stresses in life. Actually all breaks will meet our demands but to unwind and relax freely for a longer period is only during summer before the next school year or semester will come and invade our student's life. Thanks GOD for the complete school year with honesty and integrity by your guiding love and blessings.

This is the second year our five year old son is playing T-ball. He is so in love with everything about it from his new cleats to practice three times a week. He is even enjoying watching our favorite teams playing on DIRECTV and asking us if his team is on tv too. I think nothing would make him happier than seeing his little team all fighting for the ball at once on the big screen. Its hard to believe that how quickly he became a natural at the sport and he even sleeps with his baseball & glove. I have a feeling our lives will continue to revolve around his favorite sport. I can just see our weekends filled with one ballgame after another and our nights filled with baseball on the big screen. I suppose there are worst ways of spending our years. I’m looking forward to every inch of it from playoffs to banquets. Just to see the sheer joy on his face of his accomplishments and feel the pride swell in my heart. I love raising boys!

Hunger Games Tomorrow

So everyone is talking about this movie. I watched the trailer after my husband told me to see what I think. I admit, it has been a while since the last time I went to the theater to watch a movie because of our busy schedule and to think that I can buy the DVD once it's out on the store. But after watching the trailer, I can't wait to see it and I want to watch it on the big screen. So tomorrow me, my mom and my hubby are going to watch "Hunger Games".

Though, I have not read the book, I am thinking of going to the library and borrow the series so I can read this summer. For me this movie is about survival, this might be a fiction movie, kind'a scary but this could happen in the future...but hoping not :)

According to the Synopsis of the movie, Hunger Games is based on the first novel of Suzanne Collins' best selling The Hunger Games trilogy. In the ruins of what was once North America, twelve remaining districts are forced by the Capitol to send one boy and one girl between the ages of twelve and eighteen to participate in the annual Hunger Games, televised for all to see. 16-year-old Katniss Everdeen becomes a contender in the Games in order to save her little sister from having to compete. Every time I browse on different websites I always find it hard to remember the sites that I have visited. Sometimes I don't close the site so I won't forget it. When I do my shopping online, I also find it hard to retrieve the items I saved when I decided to purchase the items. But now, thanks to the free online organizer called, clipix . I first heard about this site from someone on the web. As soon as I learned about this new tool, I immediately joined their community. I connected my facebook account to Clipix and I started clipping my favorite recipes and blogs that I have read, I really I did not have to sign up and put all my information again. With this new tool, I can clip anything I want as I browse the web, from interesting article I want to read, places I would like to visit, recipes I would like to try making, and etc.

I would encourage everyone to visit and sign up for clipix today. After you have sign up, install the "Clip" button by dragging to the bookmarks toolbar. Then, when you are browsing the web, click the "Clip" button to clip anything and put it on one of your clipboards.

I am not sure if this rumor is true or not, or it might be another iPhone 5 rumours, which never actually happened! But anyway, according to some gadget geeks, Apple is expected to announce the new iPad 3 by March 7. Baby blankets, are just one of many items we could buy for one of our friends baby shower her in West Michigan. She is on her five months of pregnancy and she will be having a baby girl. Right now she is busy preparing on her baby's needs like choosing the right swaddling blankets . I am also thinking of giving her a cotton baby blankets as one of my baby shower gift for her.

Not to mention, me and my other friend are throwing a baby shower on her. It won't be until April but we are starting to plan ahead on what games and food we have to prepare. We are expecting many visitors. I hope it's going to be a nice day so everyone can enjoy, and maybe we could do it outside if the weather will cooperate so we have room for everybody.

My wife and I just opened a Pump It Up, which is an inflatable party/play zone for families to rent out for their kids’ birthday parties, or to just drop in and play at one of our open play times. One of the parents recently mentioned to me that having a television out the in the parents’ area might be a good idea. That way, parents could relax and watch the news while their children play. We already have wireless access, but she mentioned that she didn’t have a laptop, so that didn’t benefit her. When I had my ipod nano 2 yrs ago as Christmas present from my husband, I could only download songs if I buy them from itunes or if someone would share me their itunes musics and have me downloaded them on my ipod. My brother emailed me his downloaded songs from his laptop and I downloaded also to my ipod. A friend of mine also shared me her songs from her ipod. I wanted to have more songs in my play list but only if I would buy them on itunes which is usually $.99 cents per songs which I found it very expensive on my budget. I think, I have only used my ipod for less than a year because I am tired of listening the same music every time I played them.

Last year, I upgraded my wireless phone and got the new iPhone4 and purchased 2 GB data package. With that 2GB with WIFI, I could surf the net anytime I want, skype my family in the Philippines, do mobile banking and etc, or whatever I could do on my computer desk top I can also do it with my iPhone without extra charge per month.

One of the best thing for having an iPhone is having PANDORA.Pandora apps is free. It is the personalized internet radio service that helps you find new music based on your old and current favorites. I never thought I could get anything for free on today's generation. With Pandora I could listen unlimited music from different artist, genres and songs, whether it is new or old.

My brother has my iPod nano right now and have downloaded more songs and is enjoying it.

I was pretty psyched when I realized Richland Hills has Direct Energy rates. It seems like an odd thing to be excited about, but honestly anything that makes my life easier makes me so happy. For example, when companies first started letting customers pay bills online, I did a small victory yell. I know it sounds extreme, but it allowed me to stop buying so many envelopes and stamps. My husband has been looking for an affordable screen protectors for his digital camera. He found one on EBay for 20$ per pack which only has 2 LDC Kit. High School Football

I love high school football. My son plays wide receiver at our local high school, and every Friday night is dedicated to watching the team play. I am a member of the booster club and I also run the teams website. We have clear internet through directv phone service, but the school has different provider. The website that I help to maintain has information about the team, coaches, schedule and other related information. One pretty cool idea I came up with was to have alumni and past players register online so the program could keep up with where past players currently are in life. It has been a big success. Almost fifty past players have signed up. There are doctors, lawyers and one ex- NFL who graduate from our local high school who have registered online. I love being a part of the football program. There is a great coaching staff in place, and this is a great community. Our second son is in the sixth grade, so we look forward too many more Friday nights spend at the high school football stadium.

What I Want For Christmas?

A month ago my husband asked me what I want for Christmas?, I could not think right away. So I just said whatever. What I was trying to say is , whatever I get I'll be happy. Because, in all honesty, I really don't need anything material for Christmas. As long as I have clothes to wear, food to eat and a place to stay, I felt like I have everything I need.
God has been good to us all this time. I was able to bring my Mom here in the US, My sister finished her college last March, and more countless blessings that we received just this past year and I could not ask anything for more. So,all I want for Christmas and not only Christmas but throughout the year and beyond is good health, love and peace to all my love ones and people that I know.

My prayers and wishes to all the victims of typhoon Sendong in Mindanao. I pray that God would give them strength and hope in this time of their life. It's just breaks my heart every time I think of them especially the people who lost their love ones.
