Programming C++ with Xcode ( Mac OS). Install Xcode Application

Download Xcode Application is the first step you need to do.

Step 1. Setup IDE Xcode

First Way :

You can immediately download it from App Store of Apple.

Very simple with key word “Xcode”

The disadvantage of this way is imperatively updating the lastest version of OS.

However you can choose the following way.

Second Way :

Download from Apple’s website.

You need to access this website: https://developer.apple.com/downloads/ (With an ID Apple)

You can download the suitable version of Xcode for your Mac OS .

After setting up (by first way) or run the .DMG file (by the second way), you install the Xcode Application to support programming with language C++.

Step 2. Create a Project

When you open Xcode, the startup screen will appear like this:

I have created a project name StudyC++ for example .
You should choose Create a new Xcode project at the left corner below the screen.

The Create project's interface will appear.

Pick OS X -> Application-> Command Line Tool -> Next

Before clicking Next , you type your Product name and Organization Indentifer then choosing the language C or C++ . Click Next.

Choose where to save your Project. Your folder should have the same name as the Project's.Then click Create .

Finally, you have finished it !

Now, all things you have to do is choosing File -> New File -> OS X -> Source-> C++ File and coding. Select the Target Membership and use Command + R to run the .CPP file. Good luck!

Hi there! I am a junior at my University name Port and Telecommunications Institute of Technology .
I have tried to study and practice to become a developer step by step. Dev C , Eclipse ,NetBeans may be familiar with everybody studying Programming. This is one of strong IDEs such as Eclipse,Net Beans or simple (Dev C). But, I think programming in Mac's environment have not many community to share. When I begin with Mac,I have many things to be answered. So I decide to create this blog to create a new place where I can share the Programming knowledge or the errors,dificulties when using Mac. And I can practice the my programming knowledge about Java language , C++ language.
I will so happy if you feedback or comment to me!

Chào các bạn,mình là sinh viên năm 2 và cũng đang từng bước học tập và rèn luyện để trở thành 1 lập trình viên,có lẽ Dev c++ ,Eclipse,NetBeans..... đã không còn quá xa lạ với những bạn học lập trình như mình. Đây là những IDE khá mạnh mẽ (Eclipse,NetBeans) hay đơn giản như Dev C++. Tuy nhiên, theo mình thấy thì việc lập trình trên hệ điều hành Mac OS còn khá ít cộng đồng để chia sẻ. Khi mình mới làm quen với Mac cũng còn khá nhiều thứ cần giải đáp mà không biết hỏi ai. Thế nên mình tạo blog này với mục đích tạo ra một nơi để mình có thể chia sẻ với mọi người về việc lập trình trên Mac OS,cũng như những lỗi ,khó khăn gặp phải khi sử dụng Mac. Thêm vào đó cũng là nơi để mình chia sẻ,ôn lại những kiến thức lập trình về Java,C++.
