Had you ever mistakenly sent your last email to your manager? Don't worry - Google has come up with an option - you can now Undo the mails that you have sent! It might seem ridiculous, but Google has provided a 10 second delay before your mail is actually sent.

Within this period, you can cancel the sending, and thus needn't get embarrassed with your personal emails in your boss' inbox!

All you have to do is to click the Undo link, as shown in the image, after you have click Send. But you have to do it before 10 seconds after the mail is sent, or it wont work. This option is available for all Gmail users, as free as most other features are.

There are many software's online by using you can protect your files and folders. I am writing a simple tutorial which will guide you to make an undeletable folders in Win Xp to protect your data.These folders can be deleted in Dos prompt only. So normal computer users will not be able to delete these folders.

In the usual case, it is not possible to run more than one instance of Gtalk. The second try will pop-out the currently running instance. But it can be taken care of by using a tag /nomutex at the end of the program location in a shortcut, like this: "C:\Program Files\Google\Google Talk\googletalk.exe" /nomutex. Then, clicking on the link will cause another Gtalk to be launched.

Google has launched its latest browser, Google Chrome. It gives you a new experience, which is missing for the other most popular browsers, Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, Apple Safari etc.

In every new tab you open, Chrome displays Most Visited Pages, Bookmarks, and Recently Closed Tabs. Thanks to Google, you can easily reopen accidentally closed tabs. Chrome is the slimmest browser I have ever seen, as in the Full Screen mode of Firefox, with even no title, other than on the tabs. But I do miss all those plugins I had for Firefox.

I think it consumes a bit more memory than other tabbed browsers, because each tab is added as a new process. It also lacks the dictionary, featured by Firefox.

Make your folder a "Control Panel"

I don't know why anybody would want to use this trick, but you can change your folder into a control panel. The contents of the folder will stay as-is but if you open it, you'll see the same items you see in the Control Panel.

All you have to do is to rename a folder as
NAME.{21EC2020-3AEA-1069-A2DD-08002B30309D}and you're done. You may change the NAME into anything you wish. The data inside the folder will stay hidden, and when you open the folder, all you can see is the Control Panel. To recover the data inside, just rename it into a normal name.

You can use this trick to disguise your files, but the problem is that as soon as the extension is removed, it turns back into a folder. Also, you can't access the files inside it when it is in this format.

Are you tired of the default blogger icon shown near the Address bar of your Blog? Then you gotta change that to your own favorite. You're wrong if you've thought that it can only be done by geeks. It does not even require basic HTML knowledge.

First, create an image of 16 x 16 pixels or 32 x 32 pixels in your favorite program (Eg. Photoshop) and save it as a .png, .gif, or .ico. You hay use either 8-bit or 24-bit colours.

Then, if you are using Blogger, take the page to create a new post. Click the Add Image button and upload the image. After it is complete, in the Edit HTML tab, look for something like this:

Run multiple instances of Gtalk at the same time

You might have wondered if it is possible to run multiple instances of IMs, like Google talk and Yahoo!. In fact,

it is possible to run as many instances as you like in the same computer. It is useful for those having multiple accounts and wants to be online in more than one of them.

In the usual case, it is not possible to run more than one instance of Gtalk. The second try will pop-out the currently running instance. But it can be taken care of by using a tag /nomutex at the end of the program location in a shortcut, like this: "C:\Program Files\Google\Google Talk\googletalk.exe" /nomutex. Then, clicking on the link will cause another Gtalk to be launched.

Note: It is recommended to disable the "Remember password" feature of the program, as this will sign you in to the same account again. This is a bug seen in the program, but has been fixed in Yahoo! Messenger.

Warning to Google talk Users:
It is possible to be signed in in more than one computer, with the same account.This is a great problem to users who may use the program at your friends' or cybercafes. If you forget to Sign Out or if you've checked the "Remember my password" option, you are at a risk of being cracked into your account. You won't be notified, when another person uses your ID to chat with your friends in a way that you can't even think of, even if you are online at the time.
This security bug can the tested by logging in into two same accounts, and another account, on your computer by using the above trick, and try chatting from the account to another.
So, next time you open Google Talk in anywhere other than your computer, never forget to Sign out and don't even think of using the Remember password feature.

Windows XP stills hold the status of the most widely used operating system. But most of the users don't use it to the full capability. It can be widely configured to amazingly enhance the performance of the computer.

Here are some tips to improve the performance of your computer:

First of all, keep the number of startup items as low as possible. Most of the users have a very long list of startup items, of which most are of no use. Many of the programs installed, like WinZip, Winamp, RealPlayer, Nero Burning ROM, etc. include their items in startup, which is not needed for most of the users. It is recommended to remove these using Advanced Tweak XP, as it is easier than using the default msconfig utility.

Make sure that your computer runs only those services that are used. Windows XP comes with a bundle of services, of which only a few are used. The others are running to extend compatibility to different hardware and unused applications. These services can be disabled to boost performance. I will publish an article soon regarding these unused services.

Use Microsoft Boot-Vis Tool to speed up the startup of your PC. It can make your operating system load faster than ever by defragmenting the boot up files and optimizing performance.

Make sure that your computer is not infected by any virus. Most of the viruses run in the background and can cause the system to slow down drastically. It is recommended to use an antivirus software which you trust. I recommend using McAfee VirusScan, because it does not slow down your system as most of the others does. It also has excellent virus detection, which does not keep on scanning your computer, but protects it, by scanning only the accessed files. It is also important that you keep your antivirus up to date. In case of McAfee, the officially released SuperDAT updates are found here. You may also self-check your computer by verifying the processes running in the background. For this, press Ctrl + Alt + Del to open Task Manager and in the processes tab, look for suspicious processes. I recommend using a free application called Process Explorer for this, because it can show the path of the processes running. It also includes a tool to verify the process, for example, to check whether an svchost.exe is really Microsoft's.

If you don’t use System Restore, it is recommended to turn if off. It caches the files and may cause the computer to become too slow. You may also remove the Page File, if you have some extra memory. To remove a page file, open System Properties, and in the Advanced Tab, click the Settings under Performance. In the Advanced Tab under performance, click the Change button (Virtual Memory). In this tab, you can edit or completely remove the page file.
