			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>In this movie from the <a href="http://www.vam.ac.uk/" target="_blank">V&amp;A</a> museum in London, Simon Peers and Nicholas Godley talk about the cape they made by harvesting silk from over a million wild spiders in Madagascar. The silk is naturally golden in colour and the spiders take just a week to replenish their supply once released back into the wild.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Photographer <a href="http://www.cristobalpalma.com/" target="_blank">Cristobal Palma</a> has sent us photographs and a movie that he shot of the Chilean Pavilion at the <a href="http://hkszbiennale.org/" target="_blank">Shenzhen &amp; Hong Kong biennale of urbanism/architecture 2011</a>, where objects usually found in disaster relief shelters were used as furniture.</p>
<p>The pavilion was designed and curated by Chilean architects Sebastián Irarrázaval and Hugo Mondragón.</p>
<p>Mattresses nailed to the walls provided screens for film projection, while more were piled up in the centre of the room to create one giant bed for lounging on. Large water bottles and traffic cones were suspended from the ceiling as lamps.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>This movie by <a href="http://www.jonaslindstrom.se/" target="_blank">Jonas Lindström</a> shows the manufacture of vases by Swedish designers <a href="http://www.formuswithlove.se/" target="_blank">Form Us With Love</a>, made from slabs of quartz compound normally used for kitchen and bathroom surfaces. </p>
<p>Designed to show off the material produced by Spanish brand <a href="http://www.grupocosentino.es/" target="_blank">Cosentino</a>, the vases are constructed by slotting the pieces onto a metal frame and inserting a plastic core to hold water.
