As compared to south, easy India don't have that high standards in education, infact compared to any part of India, east india has the worst education standards with lot of corruption in education, poor faculties (masters or even undergraduates like MSc are teachers?) but still there are few good colleges in east India, specially the 5 nits.

Here are the 5 best colleges aka NIT of east India -

1. NIT Durgapur - To me, NIT durgapur is probably the best NIT in north east part of India. One of my friend has students from it and has nothing but praise for it, something which I never heard from any of the other friends about their colleges.

2. NIT Rourkela - After durgapur, probably its rourkela which ranks high. Its a very old college with decent reputation. if anyone of you knows more about the college, then please tell me.

3. NIT Jamshedpur - REC Jamshedupur become a NIT with the formation of Jharkhand, makes into the list as third best.

4. NIT Patna - Patna is the fourth. I don't know much about it unfortunately but being a NIT, it has to be there

5. NIT Agartala - Agartala being so far from center primarily is for the students of 7 sisters states and has yet to make mark.

So this was the list of best NITs of eastern part of India.

Well on 16th of May, Indian election results will be out and earlier predictions are saying that its going to be hanged parliament, lets see how it goes. I don't mind government of UPA or NDA as long as left partis are not part of it which seems to have their own agenda of trying to stop everything.

Also with fragmented result and regional parties taking the main seat, there are chances of mid term polls which is unacceptable. I am a strong believer in having polls in only five years only. Lets see how it goes tomorrow

I had blogged about this in the past too that why India needs its own blogging network and why we don't have one but finally TadkaNetwork has launched their tadka websites BollyTadka, Edutadka, MoneyTadka, SportsTadka and TVTadka where you can find latest news related to India.

Now the problem with this network is that they will find it difficult to get fresh unique content as competing with indian news sites which are already established wont' be easy. I personally feels there is still space for them if they, instead of putting same news and content as of indian news website, put different content.

Sanjeev Nunda, grandson of former navy chief SM nanda and son of arms dealer suresh nanda has been sentenced for 5 years in jail over high profile hit and run BMW case.

On 10th January 1999, Sanjeev Nanda, in drunken state, ran over 6 people including 3 policemen. All 6 died on the spot. Sanjeev nanda was driving his sisters BMW and soon after incident ran away. He and his friend Rajeev Gupta were caught by Delhi Police on 11th of january in a farm house destroying the evidence.

The police had been often criticized for not taking strong stance against some other people who had helped nanda as well being very slow in case solving. Eventually it took the court almost 10 years to come up with a decision though Sanjeev Nanda will be filing in higher court for case renewal.

Producers of Hari Puttar, a Hindi movies have been sued by Warner Bros who owns Harry Potter movies rights claiming that the name Hari Puttar resembles way too much with harry Potter and this has been done deliberately to use the brand of Harry Potter.

As per Warner Bros, the name is deceptive and created confusion in people's mind and they want the produces of the movie to change the title.

On the other hand, Movie Produces have said that the real name of the movie is "Hari Puttar: A Comedy of Terror." and it has nothing to do with Harry Potter series. They were making this movie for some time now and the name makes perfect sense.

As per some reports, the movie story is about a 10 year old boy who goes to england. The movie's music is going to be released on 12th of september.

The decision of court about the movie's title is still pending.

Maruti Udhyog who is under pressure after heavy hype of Tata nano and its dropping market ing small segment cars will be launching a small car named "A-Star" (Funny name?) with a new engine model. Maruti Alto will also be equipped with this new engine.

As per Maruti spokesperson, they are planning to launch another similar small car "Splash" in the next year.

Though Maruti (with 54% shares owned by suzuki) has repeatedly denied in getting involved with any kind of price war but its fairly obvious that India with 90% market for small cars dominated by maruti 800, maruti can't afford to lose its grip. Maruti Suzuki has seen a drop of 9.2% in sales from last year including dip in sales in Alto and Zen.

Government is seriously thinking of banning all kind of exit and opinion polls ahead of assembly election is six states as it feels such polls affects peoples opinion, specially if the polling is done in phases.

Its been a very long time since TV channels are showing exit polls (almost everyone has its own) as they are quiet a crowd puller even though historically the predictions made by such exit polls have far from being correct.

BCCI has warned Indian Cricket team coach for going public with statements like "Dhoni is ready to take captaincy of Test team too" which clearly means Kumble hanging his boots. BCCI asked Kirsten to keep away from media and avoid making such statements.

BCCI secretary Niranjan Shah in a press briefing also said that the decision of choosing who as a captain should be decided only by the selection committee. He went on to said that there is no need to hurry up on making Dhoni the captain of Test team. Kumble is doing fine and lets not overburden dhoni with the weight of captaincy. Dhoni in the past has complaint about fatigue and noticably had taken a break from India's test series against Sri Lanka.
