Hey everyone,

I am very sorry for being MIA for sooo long. The past year has been the busiest I have ever been exposed to on my short 22 years on this planet called earth.

In the last year, I have, by the grace, managed to complete a degree in LLB with a first class honours, secured a Job in my chosen field, I count myself blessed beyond the curse. All this required dedication and commitment and unfortunately Diary of A shallow Black girl had to suffer neglect, I am not proud of that.

Now it seems like things are falling slightly into place, and this version of blogger on phone has received the slightly more enthusiastic reviews so far so I thought hey let's give this ago. My typing skills on touch screen is not the best perhaps this will allow me keep you people up to date with the whirlwinds of my life.

I am not settled yet, I am still exploring , I have no idea where I will end up in the next year, but now I have no problem with letting go and letting my imagination take me, I am hoping for lots and lots of surprises and new things.

Lets give this a try...

Btw I am on Keek, I find it is more personal and realistic for me to use that rather than YouTube, follow me, check me out. It a stupidly fun experience.

Twenty three and I have accepted what I have known since the age is seventeen. I am now at a stage where it is entirely important for me to focus on my personal growth, my spiritual growth. Focusing on fulfilling the desires of another individual is not part of that plan.

Regardless of what anybody feel, think or is even brave to say, it's time to be selfish!
Selfish to build my dreams, to lay the foundation for the life I want...
To put me in a place where I can contribute, and be a partner and not a burden.
To set an example for the ones who will look up to me.

All with the help of the one above of course, it's the time to discover the true essence of what happiness means to me! As such some "traditional" things have to take a back seat! #food4thought

'Give a girl the right shoes, and she will conquer the world' - Marilyn Monroe could not have said it better. Known for the sexual confidence she radiated through the minnie, figure hugging, high slits deep plunging and low cut neckline dresses. She was someone who was not afraid to wear what she likes when she wanted, most of time without a bra, now that is what I call brave.

I respect that, I feel like fashion is about expressing one self, regardless of how odd and different it might be. There have been a lot of really weird things in the last couple of years, i.e Lady Gaga's meat dress for the 2010 MTV Video Music Awards?? but who I'm I to judge!

In my own words, fashion is what you make it to be, style what you want it to be, trend is what you set. What's in is what you bring, what's out is what you've leave. I do not believe in being trend follower, I have always been told to be a leader. It is nice to have the latest things in fashion but its not a necessity if you can't afford it.

I can afford to get the newest Giuseppe Zannoti Shoes and rings, but that is not where my priority sits. I make use of what I have, its not about the label for me but about how it is worn. It is nice when you wear the simplest thing that you consider nothing of, and then others adore it.

Best example is this year's 2013 MTV Video Music Awards red carpet, pictures below. There were sexy elegance worn by the likes of Ashanti and Chanel Iman, cute pretty by Ariana Grande (she is so adorable). I like Ciara's Givenchy dress, its haute Couture. I think Selena Gomez looked amaze-balls! She has grown into such a stunning young lady, I love her.

Then we have the likes of Miley Cyrus, Katy Perry, Lady Gaga, who I am refraining to comment because, there is really not much you could say? But what is wrong with Miley, btw why was she grabbing up Robin Thicke??? Paula?

So just be yourself wear what inspires you. And let others follow you..

Open Diary: Holiday In My Abode

It is rather unfortunate that though I intended to spend my holidays abroad this year, due to the my parents rather erratic schedules, I have succumbed to all the indecisive nature of my friends and family and their in ability to agree on a holiday destination. As a results I am stuck in London this year, just like the previous. As you can imagine, I am not very please with that, however due my recently embracing the saying that, 'time waits for no man' as such I have been trying my very best to make this rather a pleasant holiday.

I do appreciate that some people choose London as their holiday destination, and I can understand why, but me staying here in my own house defeats the purpose of a holiday? Traveling abroad is usually to try new things, eat new food, listen to new music, sleep in a ~~new~~ different bed, *since you don't know how many bodies have been in that bed.* But most of all, is leaving all the hectic, undesirable stress in your home land and uplifting your mood to appreciate your new surroundings. Now if you find yourself somewhere in a beach with white sand and turquoise water, I believe it will be easier to enjoy your surroundings.

Since I have not been granted the luxurious of such a vacation, I have made it a mission to try and enjoy London as tourist. Now London is quite expensive, the value of the Pound is not a joke but I am going to put myself in the shoes of a tourist, preferably a comfortable one. And enjoy London with a fresh, naive and animated enthusiasm and see what happens.

So far so good, I loose myself in film, I love the cinema, so that has been my number one form of entertainment. I recently went to the beach with some friends and family, It was more like a harbour with no sand but we made it work.

Open Diary: The next step

Let me just say that it is so amazing going to bed knowing that I do not have to wake up early tomorrow. I think it helps me sleep better.

I have decided to go back to law school this September, it took a lot of debating but I have finally gotten my head around it. It's quite amazing how lazy one can get, only being out of the education system for the first time since I entered, I feel so relax and nothing seem to bother me.

I was and still I'm one of the lucky ones. I got into a job in my field as soon as I got out of university, now that is a blessing. However I am not close to finishing, I want to take this all the way so I must continue.

I have now until September to relax and get back into study mode. No more working for me, I think I may go Ghana for a month in July- August, or somewhere else, anywhere but London!🙈

See what God has done!! I am very content with my life right now. But I aspire for more, much more!

I have realised that I change my hair whenever I make a life changing decision, recent change 01.06.13

Open Diary: Out with Resolutions in with Targets

Every year we set ourselves resolutions, usually the same ones we made the previous year that unsurprisingly we were did not achieve for one reason or another.

Trust me, there is always an excuse as to why something was not done; why we had to give up on something or why we just plainly did not want to do something. It is customary to make resolutions with the New Year and then two weeks later, forfeit it. It was only a promise to yourself, if you can no longer keep it, who does it hurt?? Well the answer is you! You do not want to become accustomed to failed promises.

Every year I find myself with the group of people who give up on their resolution by the end of the first month. This is why I am no longer making resolutions. This year I have set my self three realistic targets that I hope to achieve by the end of the year.

Is in relation to my health. I have come to realise that is not just about looking healthy but feeling healthy as well. And this encompasses many things that you would not usually associate with including emotional, and mental stability.
Finances. I have been doing really well with this for a very long time. I always achieve my financial goals, but I feel like I can push further, I can save more if I stop spending on unnecessary things; do not get me wrong I do intend to enjoy my life as well.
Relationships. I am a highly opinionated individual, when I am right and I know I am right, I do not budge. I really enjoy my own company, and that makes me push people away without intending to because they tend to annoy me. I want to work on my friendships; I want to retain the good people in my life.

These are the things which I know for definite I can achieve by the end of the year 2013. If I end up a size 8 in the process, that will be highly appreciated bonus. One of my unwritten target is post more blog...I have not written this down because I do not know how busy I will be this year, but fingers cross lets hope for the best.

I am in my morning coat at ‘1:30 in the afternoon sitting on the sofa with my mac-book on my lap, beats by Dre covering my ears and the biggest screw on my face.

My mother has been speaking to me for the last 5 minutes but I did not hear anything.
She stood in front of me and started laughing. ‘Its really hurting...huh? Have you taking some medicine...?’.... ‘Yes’ I responded, ‘just waiting for it to kick in’.

It amazing how everybody knows to leave me alone during this time. I get the worst cramps ever.

I came across this article a few weeks ago, really made me laugh, my current state reminded me of it, and I now agree with this woman. I think she is a bit psycho but hey; who I’m I to judge.

Are you ------ kidding me? What I mean is, does any part of your tiny middle-manager brain really think happiness - actual smiling, laughing happiness, is possible during a menstrual period? Did anything mentioned above sound the least bit pleasurable? Well, did it, James?

FYI, unless you’re some kind of sick S&M freak girl, there will never be anything ‘happy’ about a day in which you have to jack yourself up on Motrin and Kahlua and lock yourself in your house just so you don’t march down to the local Walgreen’s armed with a hunting rifle and a sketchy plan to end your life in a blaze of glory.

For the love of God, pull your head out, man! If you just have to slap a moronic message on a maxi pad, wouldn’t it make more sense to say something that’s actually pertinent, like ‘Put down the Hammer’ or ‘Vehicular Manslaughter is Wrong’, or are you just picking on us?

Sir, please inform your Accounting Department that, effective immediately, there will be an $8 drop in monthly profits, for I have chosen to take my maxi-pad business elsewhere. And though I will certainly miss your Flex-Wings, I will not for one minute miss your brand of condescending bull sh*t.

And that’s a promise I will keep. Always!’

I have no excuses to give for my absence from blogville except I have been so busy. I do not know of I will be able to keep posting, however I will try to post most weeks. If I do not please forgive me.

On another note, I started this blog at University, you guys have followed me from the first time I started till now, so its only fair that I share my grand finally with you all.

University was a great time in my life, though there were ups and downs I look back with pleasant memories. I had fun, I learned a lot, I grew a lot.

I lost some once good friends, I made new amazing friends, friendships I hope will last for a life time. I have had a great time.

Going back after six months for graduation was great! I got to see everyone, It felt so welcoming, though its in the past now, these memories will stay with me forever.

Achieving this degree has been my biggest achievement so far. When I was revising for days that turned to weeks, assignments that lasted from weeks to months, I was not aiming for a particular grade. Just the best I could get. By God's grace he granted me first class honours in LLB Law, I am over the moon.

Open Diary: Letter to my Young Self

Hi all,

I know I have been really really really naughty... but I can promise to change anymore. I am so busy I do not have time for blogging. I only have time for my stomach and my bed. I do not even tweet as much anymore. I still have not found a routine that work for me outside of work, I do not really mind, I am no longer a socializer... not that I ever was come to think of it, I never really enjoyed going out, I always got tired and wish I never went. I guess I am just an old soul.

In this months Glamour magazine, three actresses wrote a letter to their young selves. And although I am only 22 years old, (it was my birthday last week 06-10-90 --- YAY!) I feel like I have learnt so much I would want to tell my teenage self. Lets start with the first five,

1. You are a very lucky girl, you have a great family and a couple of good friends, be content, when you get older, you will realise that people change, let them, people will move on, do not hang on, most good things come to an end, cherish the good memories instead of creating unpleasant ones.

2. You do not have to always be strong. Show people your vulnerable side they know you are human. When you are sad, say so, when you want to cry, do cry, carrying too much load will make you more vulnerable than you ever thought was possible.

3. All guys too not have a hidden agenda; trust more, it will make things easier. Stop the silly games, because in the end you will loose when it’s your fault.

4. You know what is right do it. Understand that people choose to change you cannot make them change. If he doesn’t act right, he isn’t right. Your gut knows more than you give her credit for listen to her, she will not steer you wrong.

5. Life is not an open plan, its full of surprises and no matter how much you try, you can never get every detail correct, enjoy it as much as possible, have faith, believe that God has a plan for you, he has brought you this far, he will see you through. There are much more I would like to tell young Nana... Hopefully I will. I hope you have all had a great week, and are enjoying the month.

I hate Mondays...

It is the beginning of the week... yadi yada yadi... But it is so irritating when I have to wake up.

Every Monday morning I feel like just calling into work and saying 'I quit' just so I can have a lay-in.

Six o'clock, I get shoved out of my sleep, is like my body knows the alarm will go off in five minutes..

And I hold on to every ounce of sleep left in me and, I pray the alarm will not ring, that I will have at-least one more hour, Is like that five minutes extra sleep makes such a big difference.. even though I know it does not..

Enough of my complaining...

Today. some crazy man wanted to run me over with his Jeep.
So I am on the motorway/highway/freeway, playing my music and singing along.

All of sudden I realise my exist is half a mile ahead so I indicate from the fast lane onto the second fast lane then the third and its quarter of a mile before my exit.. I need to go onto the fourth lane to exit.

There is a big gap between these two cars, as soon as I indicated to get in, the man behind me sped up, so I thought no way or else I'll miss my exit, I forced my way through...(why he sped up, I do not understand)

We both existed the motorway/highway/freeway and he pulled up along side me and started swearing at me... Now usually I have a bad case of road rage but I was so in the spirit because I was listening to Gospel that I just smiled.. well more of a grimace than smile, but I showed him my teeth, all 32 of them witch a cheeky pop in my eye... That send him over the tip... hahahah... he suddenly made a swift turn, as if he was going run into my car.... I just smiled at him again and with his stupidity and shame he drove off...

I cannot understand some people, just let me pass, why are you going to speed up so I cannot go.??? Make no sense.. Thank God for my life.

On a brighter note... I love what I wore.. :D :D and you get to see a sneak peak of my braids :D

Open Diary: From my 'Blank Notes' : Its An Illusion

I write a lot of my experience, my emotions and my thoughts down. Usually they are inspired by the present but there are times where its in retrospect. I mentioned in an earlier post that, one day, if I feel brave enough, I will publish one of these... guess that's today, I am sure Toinlicious and DiDI will love this.

I do not remember what made me write this, I wrote it I think three years ago. But I recently read something on Rhapsody's blog which inspired me to post it, It took me some weeks but,

ohw well, ignore the typo's I do not clean it up, My notebook is called 'naked emotion' and I think I should leave everything as it is.

"How can somebody devalue their own life to extend where they wish death upon themselves because of LOVE.

The word makes me sick to the core of my stomach

Fills me with rage...I am about to explode, with Anger...

Loathe towards the person who wants to die,

Hatred for the one who drove her to it

Suicide, is common in the world, but we seem to see it as a distant, illusion,

Thinking it will never happen to us, no-one near us.

I am so angry I might even offer to help her eliminate herself

From the so called unbearable pain, of loving someone who does not love you back.

I would not know how it feel, but I can tell you I have had some personal experience.

Mine was not love, but an unbearable infatuation. Against a person who with all my life I can vouch had the same emotion, towards me.

Passion filled with anger, Jealousy not on my part. Delusional enough to think it was something which I knew it was not but choose to believe otherwise.

We drove each other to the brim of sanity, all in the name of what we didn’t realize was infatuation but we knew was not love.

We cared not to think about what it was but instead...

Left it to the imagination. My mind dared not to imagine, I would not allow it, instead...

You and I lived in a world of our own, where I was scared to tell friends of your visits, in my mind.... knowing they won’t approve, instead...

I made him an enemy a nemesis, my friends abhorred....

I too hated him, for who he was, what he possessed over me, I hated me, for what I allow him to hold over me.

I tried to rationalized... why I allowed him...to take precedence over my mind, though I put on a front, I was trapped and captured.

When I was bold enough to cut him loose, he came back.

He said sorry. SORRY ... like the word SORRY held some kind of magic that erased any past event. Any pain and hurt, damaged and anger, any emotion that he stirred up, he said SORRY like it cleansed the slate and made all thing pure again.

I hated him, But I was so deep, I though I couldn’t come up...I thought I shouldn’t come up.

But of course ‘My is different’ says she... I love him, and he loves me. Well he says it.

Instead of understanding that ‘I love you’ is not sufficient, he got to prove it.

Like me she makes excuses for why he act how he does. For why with no reason he calls her and breaks up with her. Ignoring all her please for a reason, an explanation, even if that reason is I don’t love you... she wants a closure but he denies her that. Instead...

He insults her... bring up all the negative portrayal of herself...he push down her self esteem, her confidence.

He migrates her and makes her feel inadequate...he makes her cry and then without a reason exits her life. Just to come back the following week, two weeks, month... after he is satisfied with what he wanted to do... he will come back and claim he loves her. Her young foolish heart believes him, she submits. And he got her back, just like that...with no effort, with no hard work...with no promise for a better future he traps her again and again and it repeats over and over again. I HATE HIM

She lies in her bed and cry I sit on the edge angry... I do not want to console her... I want to slap her...I want to put some sense back into her...The girl is foolish.

But I know. She is in an illusion, she thinks she loves him. And delusional enough she believes he loves her after all....

I know first hand... until she accepts it’s a fantasy, its not love. Until she knows that love is not pain. That love cares, that love will not let you cry and if you do, it will try the hardest to erase that. The loves will care of you, that love will want you near. That love will always want to be there for you. That love will love you back, she will not escape this hell hole, she has put herself in, because that isn’t love, its an illusion. "

I wonder why certain things happens, it frustrates me when I cannot do anything about such things.

I wonder why you still care, when all they do is hurt you...

I wonder what will make you let go and realise your stupidity

It saddens me that you are such a beautiful person, yet you fail to realise your values.

It hurts me when I think of all the hurt you'll avoid if you stopped being so naive.

It surprise me the amount of pain you have voluntarily self-induced.

Where will I be in 10years time, Can I honestly point that out?

If not, does that mean I lack ambition and I am not motivated?

What is the right thing to wish for, and who decides its right,

If I wanted a flashy car will that not be extremely selfish?

Then again who decides?

Is it not suppose to be my wish?

If I could, I would go back into my life and remove all the chapters I did not like,

The parts that hurts me, embarrassed me, devalued me.

Remove the people who did not contribute anything positive into my life

The judgemental ones, the people who hurt me, cursed me, behind my back.

Those who did not recognise my worth, rejected me, made me feel insecure even if it was for a moment.

The ones that made me doubt myself.

Assumed that I would not amount to anything.

If everything happens for a reason then erasing my past should mean deleting who I am.

I love who I am, I may not be perfect, I have made some stupid mistakes.

Disregarded my own wisdom and knowledge.

I may have hurt others and been hurt myself.

Been spiteful and sometimes a little cruel.

I may be selfish opinionated and almost never admit to defeat.

But I like who I am, because I am me.

I wonder if this is what I was made to be,

Or I was made to be in a constant battle with who I am, and who I am meant to be

who decides what or who it is that I was made to, or meant to be?

It all a lot of question with no answers.

It might be that it is all about figuring out the answers to the questions surrounding your life

Or you might not bother to answer these question, but I try to... sometimes

Hiiii

Its been too months since I've posted anything, I feel so guilty...

But they way my life has been all over the place, I want it structured again before I start writing the chronicles of my personal renaissance as a memoir.... However I shall give a preview lol

I have finished my Law degree.. *yay* But my graduation is not until late November, *bummer* so I want to wait till I wear my robe, when it is official before I tell you lovely people about it.

I have started a new Job... Its such a blessing that as soon as I finished University I got a Job in the field I want to go into... Its a temporary Job, I am grateful because it will provide me with the 'all important' experience that every employer wants. I will update you on this later...

I have finally reach emotional maturity, in regards to a lot of things and I have re-evaluate my worth and I feel so much happier and satisfied with myself and my life at this very moment. It is still in its early stage but I am hopeful that I am finally done with the confusion... I will elaborate later

In connection to the above, I have personally selected the people I think would be long term friends and the ones I am aware will not. Neither of such persons are aware of what categories they fall in my life but I know and I think it makes life much more easier for me. Everybody has their function and that makes everything so much better... I will talk about that later...

I am transitioning, not going all natural, I cannot bear the thought, I love my relaxed hair, it is my personal choice, what I prefer, and I prefer my relaxed hair to my natural hair. I will talk about it, but I am going back to extensions. After wearing my own hair for almost four years, I believe its about time... But we are going to take baby steps.. First with braids and then we shall see where the rest take us... I might be sporting some 24inch Peruvian by the end of year, that is if I get over the idea that, it makes people look the same... like too common. ???

I have a lot of new outfits ideas, so let see how it will work with my new hair styles... I am so nervous about that one.... as I believe that certain outfits only go with certain hair-styles... but we will try and be versatile

I have a new car, not the ideal but it will do for transportation to and from work... After I sold my Citroen in May, I have had my up and downs with public transportation, mainly downs... but its far more cheaper than a car taking insurance prices in UK into consideration. But what can we do??? I cannot run for the bus in my 5inches anymore... :S

My biggest achievement so far is, I feel I am getting closer to God again. There has been one main obstacle between my relationship with God, and I believe that is not going to be a problem anymore. So I can stay virtuous and holy whiles I wait on the Lord.

Beauty Diary: My Hair

You guys may be aware of my hair journey, I departed from weave in december 2009 and I have not gone back since. Its been tough, especially with outburst of the brazilian hair, the ombre effect, that pretty Kelly Rowland curls, the waves, the Kim Kardashian inspired hair styles. Even people who went through transition form relax to natural. I have been brave and loyal to my crop look which has seen many different styles of its own, shapes, layers to shaving in the last three years.

Now I keep my hair in a classic bob. But I am getting tired of it. Any suggestions?

Which style should I revisit. Let me know please

Beauty Tip: Steps to Beautiful, soft and kissable lips

For the past year, I've kind of gone of lipgloss when I dress up, Its all about lipsticks now, and I am on the verge of growing my collection. So these are my top five lip products, I absolutely love them.

For your lip product to sit well on you lips and look stunning, it needs a clean and smooth canvas. You will not hear this enough, Lip exfoliation should be one of the most important things in the life of a beauty conscious woman. I think everyone, boys, girls, old, young, should exfoliate their lips at least 3 time a week.

Tip 1

Wet a tooth brush with warm water and gently brush your lips to exfoliate it.

Tip 2

Use a lip scrub, I use Lush bubble gum lip scrub.

Or You can make your own lip scrub,

You will need

1. Granulated Sugar preferably brown

2. Olive oil

3. Side Plate

4. Teaspoon

Direction

Scoop a tea spoon of the sugar and then a tea spoon of the olive oil and mix them well together on the side plate.

Using a clean finger, apply the mixture unto you lips.

Firmly but gently rub the mixture over your lips. The sugar acts as a scrub and removes the dead skin whiles the oil penetrates an moisturise your lips

Do it about a minute on both the upper and the lower lip, or you can repeat the process till your mixture finishes, then use a warm and wet towel to remove the mixture from you lips.

Apply a moisturising lip balm, and that is it.

Tip 3

If you have tin lips and would like a fuller looking mouth, then when using tip one, apply pressure with the tooth brush, this will cause blood to rush to your mouth.

After Apply excess moisturising lip balm and go into the a hot shower. Let the pressure from the water beat your lips, this will cause the lips to be hydrated and soak the moisturiser better.

Meaning a more plump and full lips.

Tip 4

For soft and smooth lips, before going to bed, use tip one or two and instead of normal lip balm, use you moisturising body lotion. But a lot of that on you lips and just sleep. By the time you wake up the product should have penetrated your lips, just wash it off and apply your preferred lip product.

All these tips will give you a soft, and beautifully smooth lips. If you intend to wear any shade of lipstick especially red or nude, you've got to spare us all the dreadful sight of cracked, chapped lips and follow the tips.

p.s sun is out so get a lip balm with at least SPF10 to avoid pigmented lip colour,

Zateesha and I had a girls night out, we had dinner and saw 'The Dictator', such a stupidly funny film. During dinner we were just discussing relationships and the opposite sex, and the conversation diverted to knowing what you want and going for it.

I am very indecisive, she pointed out the obvious, I need options to consider, I cannot just make up my mind I want this without looking at alternatives. Its like when it comes to shades of lipstick especially; I will be in the isle for a good half an hour looking at similar shades to the one I want in different brands before deciding to just get one more of what I own incase I don't like the one I already chose.

My relationship with shoes is base on the first attraction. With shoes, I am very spontaneous, when I am attracted to it, I have to have it. Like the new edition to my relationship from River Island

Or this Monroe open peep toe block heel sandals

I got these in an off cream colour but I love them so much that as soon as my mother departs the country I will purchase these ones. (she has sort of restricted my spending, and since she provides the funds, we do not want to upset her)

Sorry, I drifted off there, but as I was saying, attraction is on first sight basis, I cannot learn to appreciate a pair of shoes, I have to appreciate if from the beginning, regardless of whether other people think they are nice or not. (I hope you understand where I am drifting to)

This first-sight attraction is relevant when it comes to the opposite sex as well, regardless of how gorgeous a guy might be, if its not instant its not gonna happened. Speaking of handsome, some people are blessed.

You know when someone is just average and then you see them like after two years and you are like where have you been all my life?

That happened during my exams, this guy had not been to law school for God knows how long and there he sat next to me in the exams hall, given me occasional glances, thankfully I prayed and rebuked that evil, or else, I would have wrote an essay about how handsome he was.

I know this is the most all over the place post ever, but so that there is an epitome of this post, My view is that attraction happens at first sight, If it is not there from the beginning, they will not grow on you. Its frankly the opposite with personality, because you cannot fully know a person until after you have had some kind of relationship, platonic or romantic with them. And personality does grow on a person.

Haul Post: My Most Loved Purchases This Month

1. Laptop Table

Its amazing that this is on the top of my list, I feel like such a neek. But I like comfort, and sitting at the desk in my room makes me feel like such a neek. Using the laptop in bed makes it heat up, so I got this very convenient and affordable table with a cooling fan, a mouse board, a cup holder from ebay so now, I can blog, comfortably in bed.

2. New Look for my Mac

I have been meaning to remove the clear acrylic case around my baby, but I could not find one I liked to replace it with. I found this satin feel snap on case in black. It looks so sexy and stylish. Mac looks so much better now. (yup I refer to my laptop as a person, its a he and I love him very much)

3. Famous Lipstick in Kiss ME

Its a lie, I have had this lipstick for like two months now and I love it so much, I got an extra one. Its long lasting, very moisturising, and allows me to play with lip liners to achieve different shades.
I got it from Superdrug, if you are in the United Kingdom, I am not sure if they have discontinued the brand, but I would like to try the other shades.

4. Sleek Blush By Three Palette in Sugar

Turbinado Muscovado Demerara

This product is highly pigmented, I mostly use the matte colours during the day, but add shimmer for a glamours look when I am going out at night. My favourite is the Turbinado, it absolutely compliments my skin, however for a soft look i have to wear the 'Demerara' on stop.

I want to get the lace palette too, I love the colours, would really work for the summer. (what doe you think?)

5. Organice Root Stimulator Olive Oil Aloe Shampoo and Organice Root Stimulator Replenishing Conditioner

I absolutely love this shampoo and conditioner, It moisturises my hair and does not make it feel try out at all...I still prefer my Kera Care Hydrating shampoo when I want a deep clean, but i uses the replenishing conditioner to restore moisture back in my hair. Regardless this product really gets the thumps up from me.

Hello blogsville,

Though this my second post, since I returned from my two month absence from blog world.

I decided to make a resolution, though it is mid year, I just finished University, *yay* I don't know my grades yet (remember me in your prayers) But its a new start.

A brand new chapter in my life, and I just cannot wait to start writing it. There is a mixture of emotions towards this, I am not sure if I should be happy, sad or both. So I choose both.

I am sad that I have finally grown up, I'm 21 so if I commit an offence it's adult prison they'll send me to, *not that I intend to commit and offence* But I need to get a job, and starting paying my dues.

I am happy because, I can have a pause from education, I can get to know myself, I can meet new people, I can see life from a grown up perspective.

I am sad because I thought by now I would know where I wanted to head to in life. But I just realise there is so much more to figure out than I anticipated from an early age.

I do not want to get myself stuck in a hole, I wanna broaden my horizons, I want to have may options at my disposal in every aspect of my life.

This blog is going to remain memoir of my self discovery/enhancement. But it is going to be a more active one. I intend to have a lot more fun and stop conforming to people ideals of me. I am gonna show more wardrobe, lifestyle, fashion, personal (hopefully I will be brave enough to include emotional post - I have so much of those lol) But more importantly, its going to be ME and FUN.

Most of you guys have been always here, and I want to thank you so much, like comments and support refrained me from quitting with blogsville. And I will try to do more youtube, though I hate it.

I wanna apologies to all my readers, for abandoning 'Diary Of A Shallow Black Girl'.
I had prioritise my education, but I am done now, and its just me and you lot, I hope you don't get sick of me.

For the past I do not know how long, I have been listening to this poem, over and over and over again.

Its like this, I watch it in the morning, afternoon and evening, I keep listening to it and I love it.

I think its more than just a poem, its a sincere narrative, spoken rhythmically.

On the surface, this piece is very shallow, it just illustrate the speakers interest in the physical, though its all that it does, If you were to watch the entire film, you would understand that this poem was the structure of the entire romance.

It gets me thinking if there is more than physical, and of course there is. But in all honesty and truthfully speaking, physical is mostly the fundamental starting point in a romantic relationship.

The extend of what acts you include in the physical is up to each individual, but realistically it is a (the) starting point.

The typical boy meets girl, but to me it is real, My friend and I were discussing the relationship between Nia Long and Larenz Tate, when there is actual confusion and when you just string the other person along. This line is very thin, because most of the time the person in question do not even know what they want. And that is real, it happens all the time, anyway I will stop typing.

With this look I went for a 50's look, my hair was curly, at the front, it was big and very full, and you all know, I'm growing my shaved side, so that part was brushed down. *save the planet* but I had to put lots of hair spray to keep my curls from falling, but Nameste sleek shine kept it glossy.

My face I wore Match Master Foundation by Mac, colour 8.0

My lips I wore Gypsy my ELF

I used Rimmel "exaggerate lipliner in some brown colour", My eyebrows were filled in with Sleek brown brow pencil and some gray from Ghosh

All my friends don't understand why I listen to "heartbreak songs", "depressing music" "sad songs" *they call it*. But I think those are the best kind of music...

I try listen to as much Gospel as I can.

But I also love slow jam, I have always loved them, and for some reason, most of them are about broken hearts. There is something amazing about the way peoples, creativity flow, during periods whereby they are hurt. And Its very inspirational. The way a writer is able to convey the deepest emotions is words. The way a singer can express pain and heartbreak through their vocals or a musician can capture your mind with an instrument. An artist can illustrate things you would never imagine and make you fall in love with them. An Actor will play a role, that seems so real, you forget it was written...

I just love it when people express pain, it sounds crazy but.. I enjoy it, not their pain lol, but the way the express so beautifully. That is why I love Adele, all her song like most of them are about heartbreak, failed relationship, and that is not positive. But to me, her songs shows she determination to not be held back. I love her Albums, have always been in love with them. But not I am absolutely adoring 'turning labels', I just went back to that particular song recently, it came on, on one of my playlist and I had to put it on repeat.

These are some of the artists I have been loving. One of my very good friend Randolph, he has such a great taste music, and I always steal his discoveries. If you love soothing sounds, these are the people you need to be listening to. I love them, but if you are quite an emotional person, you may cry, but just try them.
