I am still attempting to figure out what is a 'G20.' Was it not 'G7' or 'G8' last time? I am more concern about my own 'G1' which has taken a sharp fall over into the nineteenth century precipice of socialism. As wishful, star-stuck Americans walk dreamily above that precipice, we collectively are divided against ourselves. We complain over whose self-love is more politically correct in order to be the first in line of seemingly continuous and endless 'stimulus' packages.

I did catch her in a remark that Biden didn't catch most likely because he believes it is true. Palin may have heard one of McC's debate-preparers say it.

While talking about our right to buy decent priced health insurance Palin said we should be able to cross State lines to do so after all "state borders are artificial."

Sorry, but State borders are not artificial! (Have you noticed my use of the capital letter for state?) The 50 States created this damned federal union. These united States of America are not administrative districts for Washington. Anyway, this is gaffe showing a difference in educational periods.

Sigh, I may be relic of a less progressive education. I still understand the 14th article of amendment as proclaiming a citizen of any State is also a citizen of the United States. I refused to accept the political class' usage we are residents of a particular state. If things go bad Nov 4th, I hope I'm allow my blackberry mobile at the Kohls (RE)-Education Camp.

I was born a citizen of Wisconsin by the 14th amendment I was able to be for a short time a citizen of Texas. Being a mere resident makes it easier to state-sponsored discriminations. (Southerners thought the freemen were not real, fellow citizens so it was a quick step to misrule.)

From this modern, institutionized mindset among the political class I understood a bit why the 50 States are considered 50 states.

[Portion of the 14th Article of Amendment in scope with this post: "All persons born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the State wherein they reside."

REFORM IS CHANGE WE REALLY CAN BELIEVE

Our old buddy from townhall.com days, Alex Gimarc of Alaska, wrote in his 'Interesting Items' today explains this financial crises.

"When the markets go nuts just before an election, my political radar always starts finding things under leftist rocks. While I don't think the festivities this week have been orchestrated by the leftists, they are certainly involved. It will take some years to sort out the current mess, but the source of the problem appears to be junk mortgages issued and traded by Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, both of which were democrat shops. When the real estate bubble burst, and home prices were no longer rising, that bad paper – the mortgages purchased by people who couldn't pay them when the balloon payment on the ARMs (Adjustable Rate mortgages), started percolating through the system. According to an article in Opinion Journal Friday, new accounting rules put into place over the last 15 years forced the quick reporting / write-off / eating of the bad paper (debt). As a result, we started seeing secondary lenders, the brokerage firms that traded in the bad Fannie and Freddie mortgage paper, fail right and left. The writer pointed out that none of the brokerage firms or the insurers are actually broke, with the average financial hit being around 20%. But the new accounting rules forced them to quickly eat and report the entire loss rather than spreading it out over the years. This is not unlike the Savings & Loan debacle of the late 1980s, which was triggered by a change in tax laws in 1987 without grandfathering existing investments. Greed and fraud and mismanagement will only go so far, and usually result in individual companies failing in the marketplace. But it takes government intervention – in the form of poor regulation – to turn a few business failures into a financial debacle with worldwide impact. The growing cancer in this story was Fannie and Freddie. The leftist congressional play was to give free homes to people who could not afford to pay the mortgages for them. Democrats in congress and go along to get along Republicans refused repeated efforts to corral Fannie and Freddie and they eventually were looted and driven into the ground by executives who left well paid and left the companies in shambles. I am not happy with the bailout announced Friday, but believe it may be an necessary evil. We don't need yet another round of regulations. We need a return to sound, simple, reliable, and long used accounting rules. We need to get out of the government – private partnership business and let the marketplace work. Things will be turbulent for a while, but I expect they will sort themselves out much quicker than anyone thinks, especially if there is a plan to privatize Fannie and Freddie, cut and control regulations on the financial industries (Sarbanes – Oxley, for instance) and cut capital gains taxes to increase investment money throughout the economy."

We need reform of politicians NOT change of particular politicians. That should be the change we could believe in --- of course, mere words by any politician shouting "Change we can believe" is just practicing the politics of old.

Change is NOT reform per se. Look this electoral season toward those who have been trying to reform instead of those who change the players then claim reform. Reform is Change!

221 Years of Written, Constitutional Law

Please read the document linked above called US Constitution 2.27

I had included the articles of amendment within the American basic law, instead listing them separately as if they were equal to the original seven articles. Twenty-seven times the US Constitution has been amended or, better put, some of the original seven articles were changed.

Even the protection of our liberties, the Bill of Rights, was a change in particular to the rules in the first article about the Congress. Yet it is fashionable today to treat those first ten articles of amendment as the national government's protection of us from ourselves.

The contention of my US Constitution 2.27 is to show how the legal theory of incorporation-interpretion allowed the third branch of the federal government to act as legislators not judges.

September 17 is the American holy day. It should an obligation day for remembering who created the United States. It was We the People of these united States of America.

Fundamentals of Americans for the pursuiting of happiness are good but fascism must end; New Deal must die!
Since the 1930s a fascism developed here in America with Washington regulating through taxation the means of production. When such command economy fails, as today became another example, the legal community steps in to mop-up the spilled blood of misallocated investment by businesses with false security from its government. Who will be the fall-guy tomorrow? Let us not patch Freddie as Freddie patched the New Deal's Frannie in the 1970s.
Let 2008 be the year the voters reform America back to liberty for, by, of the free citizen.

SIGH #456

The Obama's press secretary, Bill Burton, accuses McCain of the 'sleaziest, least honorable campaign in history.' Is Obama campaign (a possible, presidential administion) a-historical?
Dictum n., pl. -tums or -ta [L, something said, word, neut. of dictus, pp. of dicere] 1. a statement or saying; esp., a formal statement of fact, opinion, principle, etc., or of one's will or judgment; pronouncement. 2. Law a judge's remark or observation on some point of law which is not essential to the case in question, hence not binding as a legal precedent.

Since June of 2002 Dictum was the name of this Internet journal or Web Log. It was orginally on the blogger.com system. The '08 elections in the United States are expected to be more bitter and nasty than 1860's. For this reason, Dictum has been renamed as Town Hall. Under either name, it has gleaned and it will attempt to continue to post upon the intrusiveness in vogue through the law, culture, and social frameworks which effect contemporary society. This intrusiveness is a direct public nuisance of a political mindset causing much misplaced charity where it trys to equal results between unequal talents but effectively spreading misery all around. Town Hall will attempt to expose without grossness those who are trying to immanentize the Eschaton.

The name of Town Hall was originated by Wm. F. Buckley, jr. of National Review in 1991 for his Conservative Republican readers in order to connect their computers to promote the Conservative Movement. This cyber movement of Conservatives made it way to the Internet as townhall.com. With the purchase of Internet-townhall in early 2006 many of its Conservative users were left adrift from the message boards and chat rooms that at various times were on <strike>Sprint's VAX/Mac</strike> computers, on the <strike>Compuserve's private forum</strike>, and in the recent <strike>chat rooms, soapboxes, "meetups,"</strike> and <strike>TownSquares</strike>. Town Hall wishes to re-unite us in our various groups into a central point of coordination to Stop the coprolalia of the Left-wing.

attacking the war in Vietnam. It was the fact that, after the war was
over, they couldn't let go of it. Many (perhaps most) American
supported our withdrawal, but with regret. When it was over, much of
the country wanted to forget about it. But the media and the Left
"4. Fourth Circus. The formerly reliable Fourth Circus Court of Appeals (Federal) handed down an opinion last week that overturned over two centuries of judicial and military precedent. The opinion, authored by the usual Clinton appointee, was joined by a Bush appointee, Judge Gregory, a gentleman from Missouri that Bush appointed to the federal bench his first year in office as a peace offering to democrats in the senate. The opinion found that the President can no longer designate anyone on American soil as an enemy combatant and put him into the military tribunal system for trial and punishment. The case involves a citizen of Qatar, Al Marri, who was working here in the US on behalf of Al Qaeda. He was identified, captured and has been held in a military brig in Charleston for a few years. The fools sitting on the federal bench still do not understand that we are at war. They do not care about past precedent. They do not care about either the threat or what we have been doing for a mere 200 years of warfighting here in the US. In their zeal to damage the Bush administration, they are undercutting and subverting the tools used to prosecute the war and making us less safe. They ought to be removed from office as quickly and as harshly as possible.
Town Hall

Meeting
Dane County
Tuesday, 2007 June 5

§ § §

Six members attended though they initially met in three different areas of the University of Wisconsin @ Madison's Union Terrace. After his finishing his 'Badger Blast' malt, the scribe joined the group in order to record for all prosperity that there is wisdom on this campus.

The scribe brought the print-outs for our fearless leader 1 / organizer to use tonight:

The Divide Republican Bill. Bobby Eberle wrote in <a href="http://www.gopusa.com/theloft/?p=466" target=_"_blank">The Loft that, "We have the laws in place, both old and recent. . .[we need] a strong dose of political cajones, and not passing this bill." Senator John McCain whines, "Critics of the bill attack this as amnesty and special path to citizenship that is denied to lawful immigrants. Both charges are false." Eberle Would retort, "...not passing this bill doesn't seem so "dangerous" or "unacceptable" to me." Meeting leaned toward the increasing border agents, the constructing security fencing from the Gulf of Mexico to the Pacific Ocean, and the punishing employers for illegal hiring practices.

Demorcrats spar in 2nd debate in NH. There was some interest in this topic. Who-ha!

Sole v. Wyner It was mentioned about "the unanimous opinion, written by Justice Ginsburg, about what it means to be a "prevailing party" --entitled to attorneys' fees -- in a §1983 civil rights case. The Court decided that winning a prelimary injunction is not enough if you go on to lose the case on the merits. The plaintiff, by the way, was fighting for the right to protest the war [Iraq] with a giant peace sign composed of naked people." --From Ann Althouse, Madison attorney and blogger, and Thorley Winston comment on her post, "The plaintiff, by the way, was fighting for the right to protest the war with a giant sign composed of naked people. Hopefully they were good stewards of the Earth and used the entire naked person. Waste not, want not."

Anbar. Alaskan Townhaller, Alex Gimarc, in his weekly Interesting Items 5/28 wrote, "We continue to get positive reports out of Iraq, as the new warfighting plan continues to unfolf. Last week had a large number of reports of significant progress into previous anti-American, pro-Baathist, insurgent and Al "Qaida hotbeds like Anbar province. It appears that Al Qaida overplayed its hand against the locals and the tribal leaders have turned against them and declared war against them. We are now seeing the civil war we always wanted in Iraq - the one pitting Al Qaida against everyone else. And Al Q?aida is losing the fight. Keep it up, guys. We are close, very close."

Brief mention of Newt Gingrich's<a href="http://www.aei.org/events/type.upcoming,eventID.1533,filter.all/event_detail.asp " target"_blank">"Principles of a New Governing Majority".He makes very good point on the state of political discourse today. It is too bad he couldn't keep his zipper zipped. His falling pants is the major caused of Congress falling into greed -- if the people want greed they will always go for those who are the professional crooks hence 2006.

Again, Alex Gimarc reminds us of the coming nasty election:

"Video. Campaign techniques are changing fast as both technology and the ability to get a message out near instantaneously on the web merge. One of the big changes used by the left last election cycle was sending an opposition campaign worker with a video camera to every event staged by their opponent. They used it to good effect last year when a Webb (D. VA) staffer filmed former AUS Senator George Allen's (R. VA) use of the term 'macaca' to describe the Webb guy holding the camera. This screw up was plastered over the media, the net, and used by the Washinton Post for months in a series of blistering attacks on Allen to eventually defeat him for office last year. Allen's failure to immediately stand up, acknowledge his use of the racial epithet and apologize directly to the staffer helped seal his fate among Virginaia voters. Daily Kos owner / operator Marcos Moulitsas suggested that his lefties do the same thing to every single major Republican candidate over the next year and a half. This means that the cameras will be out there, and every single gaffe will be up on You Tube, Daily Kos or something similar for the upcoming election cycle. This means that Our Side will have to be much more disciplined aboutg what they say, who they say it to, and how it is said, for it will be quite easy for the Other Side to build a video narrative of a candidate that will not be all that flattering or helpful. This also means that we to be filming the union thugs and other goons used by democrats to keep citizens away from their candidates. I expect it will be superb entertainment and excellent viewing for political junkies. The Other Side is bit better at using the new media than we are so far. We need to do better, something that I expect Fred Thompson is already doing. Dean Barnet in Hugh Hewitt, Tues."

Succinctly, let's becareful of side-bar discussions such as if the multi-colored flagged chatters on cabana at the UW@Madison's Union Terrace were gay or just assorted minorities.

The discussions shifted from politics into religion. Nobody got hurt.

The Dane County Townhall Next Meeting:

What: The Dane County Townhall July Meetup

When: Tuesday, July 3 at 7:00PM

Where: Memorial Union
800 Langdon St.
Madison WI 53706

Meeting adjourned

Special Orders. The After Meeting was attended by three members who continued the discussion. It was mentioned by the student of the Koran that it is written all by Mohammed in contrast to the New Testament being written by several different writers. The night was finally concluded with a quote from Pope Benedict XVI's new book, Jesus of Nazareth, "This God designates himself simply as the 'I am.' He just is, without any qualification. And that also means, that he is always there -- for human beings, yesterday, today, and tomorrow."
