Hit the Deck is a simple game that uses a timer and cards: "Set the timer, draw your first card, and do as many repetitions as you can. When the timer beeps, draw your next card."

The length of your workout will be determined by how many cards you perform and the duration you set on the programmable interval timer. If you are short on time, keep it quick and only choose a few cards. If you've got more time, select more cards and even repeat the cycle over as many times as you can take it!

Simple, but actually looks quite fun.

In January of 2008 I went on the Depo Provera shot, before that day I was 127 lbs. By April I weighed 145 lbs. I know I can't exactly blame the shot for all of my weight gain, but it did increase my appetite significantly and that caused me to gain weight.

I have been off the shot for 8 months, and since then have been using Ortho Tri Cyclen Lo. I have tried quite a few times to lose the weight, but unsuccessfully. I wasn't trying my hardest, and now I want that to change. This time I am going to try my hardest to lose this weight by my 19th birthday February 5th 2010. I have a gym membership, but the problem is my food choices.

I am going to college right now, and am required to buy a meal plan. Which means I have to eat the food supplied for me at the school cafeteria. My healthy choices of food are very limited, and I need advice on what is okay for me to eat. I don't want to cut out meat from my diet, because I lose my energy that way. Should I avoid hamburger meat? Should I avoid bread, and carbs? Please help!

Hello everyone! I need help because I am getting very discouraged.

About 4 weeks ago, I started working out everyday and eating 1000 calories. My exercise routine consists of 30 min. of running or elliptical use, free weight arm exercises and pilates moves (I'm in the gym about two hours total). I go to the gym about 5 days a week and the other two days, I go mountain biking for 2 hours. I also play tennis and take pilates class once a week.

Every day, I keep a food diary of each morsel I consume. I measure servings and add up all the calories. I eat A LOT of fruit, salads and no bread (only pitas). I don't drink soda and try to avoid processed, refined foods. I EAT NO MORE THAN 1000 CALORIES per day.

I will also add that I am 25 years old, and prior to starting this exercise routine, I didn't exercise and ate very poorly. I ate fast food, candy, and a lot of breads and sugar. I am 5'7 and weight 140 lbs. (I would like to be 135 and lose some inches of fat.)

Unfortunately, I didn't measure or weigh myself at the very beginning. I started measuring myself 2 weeks ago (this would be 2 weeks after beginning my diet and exercise) and since then have not lost any weight or inches. I can't figure out why I am not successful. Does anyone have any suggestions? I've literally been "busting my a**."

What am I doing wrong?

Never in my life i thought i would become overweight. All the late night snacks and bad eating habit are now coming back to haunt me.

Here I am, a 24 year old girl who hasn't accomplish anything in my life. No degree, no job, no confidence and no friends. Actually all of this would have never become a problem until my father suddenly collapsed on the floor with his hand held tight to his chest last month.

He's doing better now, thank god, but his collapse made me realized one thing. If my father's gone, my family would have no one to rely on. No one would take care of them and watch over for them. It is time for me to grow up and be responsible for my life because if I can take care of myself then I can take care of my family.

This project is one of the first steps that I'm gonna take to improve myself and to build up my confidence. Hopefully this is one step closer to breaking out of that social bubble.

Body make over project

Starting weight: 156.5 lbs

Any encouragement or tips would be appreciated.

Turns out, $5 is the latest win-win in fast food gimmicks. Subway raked in $3.8 billion with it, and now other restaurants are giving it a try too.

<a href="http://www.diet-blog.com/archives/2009/11/13/5_is_the_new_it_word_in_fast_food.php" title="Continue Reading: $5 is the New "It" Word in Fast Food">Continue reading...
