<p>Do you know someone who had a lot of health problems after dieting?  Maybe you found you had health related issues after dieting.  There are many dangers of dieting that you should be aware depending on the plan you choose.  The idea of dieting should really be looked at fully when you consider the dangers of dieting and the plan you will follow.</p>
<p>First of all, having health related issues do to dieting are very common.  A less extreme example of the dangers of dieting can be seen in the old grapefruit diet.  It was thought that if you ate a grapefruit for breakfast everyday you would lose weight.  This was of course in combination with a decent lunch and a well-rounded dinner.  You were also supposed to be exercising during this time.  Well most individuals who tried the grapefruit diet now have intolerance to acidic foods.  This means they cannot drink acidic juices or even eat highly acidic fruit like grapefruit or oranges without having medical issues.  It could just be stomach pain or diarrhea, however it can be as serious as developing an allergy to the food where you constantly get sick from eating it.</p>
<p>Other dangers of dieting may include loosing bone mass.  If you lose weight in a very short amount of time chances are you are losing bone mass, especially if you lack calcium on the diet you have chosen.  Bone mass is important for our health because a lack of it can cause brittle bone disease or osteoporosis.</p>
<p>If you chose the wrong diet plan where you are not eating enough, you run the risk of becoming anorexic.  This means you will lose a lot of your weight, including muscles.  This is perhaps one of the most important dangers of dieting you need to be aware of.  You need to eat enough food to sustain your life.  While anorexia is consider a psychological disorder it can be brought on during dieting.  You may feel you are not losing enough weight, even though you have.  If you experience this danger of dieting, you should seek help immediately from a physician.</p>
<p>Another popular way of dieting is the diet pill.  This is an extreme danger of dieting.  Diet pills tend to become addictive whether it is because of their properties, as nicotine is addictive or related more to the psychological elements.  Some substances have been known to create a chemical imbalance in your brain.  This chemical imbalance will make you want to take the pills even when you have lost enough weight or it could cause a disorder.</p>
<p>There are certain disorders you may be genetically predisposed towards where you will lose weight or gain weight.  Diet pills or other dieting methods and therefore fall under the dangers of dieting can affect these types of disorders.  Such disorders may include hyper and hypothyroidism.  These disorders while in treatment can cause a fluctuation in weight.  You have to be on certain drugs to help regulate these disorders sometimes and these pills can interfere with other methods of dieting such as diet pills.</p>

<p>There are many diets in the world today.  Choosing between the diets is one of the most difficult things you will do if you are interested in loosing weight.  The thing you have to keep in mind when you diet is your health.  While some diets say, you will lose weight in seven days by the diet you need to realize it can compromise your health.  You see if you lose weight to fast you can compromise you health.  You will also gain the weight back more quickly when you lose it at a fast rate because you tend to go back to your old eating habits.  The best way to diet is having well rounded meals while you eat less and exercise.  Sometimes a diet may not work so you have to seek other alternatives.  If you are interested in the cabbage soup diet then you need to learn a little more about it.</p>
<p>The cabbage soup diet is based on eating cabbage soup for your meals.  There is a seven-day plan with this cabbage soup diet.  The suggestion that if you follow this diet for the seven days you will lose weight.  Therefore, here is the plan for the cabbage soup diet:</p>
<p>Day one of the cabbage soup diet starts with all the cabbage soup you want, any fruit except for bananas, and limited drinks.  You should drink water, black tea, or cranberry juice.</p>
<p>Day two has you eating vegetables, though it suggests you stay away from dry beans, corn or peas.  You can also have a baked potato for dinner.  The cabbage soup diet asks that you do not eat fruit on this day, and that you eat as much cabbage soup as possible.</p>
<p>Day three of the cabbage soup diet is a combination of day one and two.  You cannot have a baked potato, but you can have all the vegetables, fruit and soup you want.</p>
<p>Day four should include as many as eight bananas and as much soup as you want with at least eight glasses of skim milk.  The idea behind day four is that you no longer crave fruits.</p>
<p>Day five of the cabbage soup diet is when you can have protein.  This means you can only have 10- 20 ounces of beef, along with six fresh tomatoes.  You can eat at least one bowl of soup.  If you wish, you can substitute chicken or fish for the beef.</p>
<p>Day six: you can eat beef and vegetables with at least one bowl of soup.  You may not have a baked potato.</p>
<p>Day seven of the cabbage soup diet includes brown rice, unsweetened juice, and vegetables along with your soup.  You cannot have bread, alcohol, or any soda at all.</p>
<p>While this may look like you can lose a lot of weight, you need to consider how you will eat after you have lost the weight.  You should no longer want the sweet foods on the cabbage soup diet, but you will have to keep track of the amount of calories you are eating.  The idea behind any diet is to eat enough that you feel great, but not over eat.</p>

<p>Dieting has become extremely important to all of us.  Television ads, billboards, and books have made the way into the media on diets to make all of us pause and think about loosing weight.  The trouble with the “new diets” that appear is having to choose what diet will work for you.  Some diets can even be harmful for you.  I am sure you have seen newspaper articles five or ten years down the road about a diet that you tried suggesting that it actually does not help you lose weight, in fact, it can cause damage to your body.  If you have not, I would be slightly surprised.  </p>
<p>The liquid diet is one of those diets you should be wary of in most cases.  While it can help you lose weight fast, consider what weight you may be loosing.  In some cases, a patient has been known to loose bone density causing early osteoporosis from loosing weight to fast.  When you choose the liquid diet, you need to find other methods of protein.</p>
<p>The liquid diet consists of juice, fruit smoothies, milk, yogurt, beef bullion, and soups.  There are many other liquid items you may take, but these are some of the more common ones.  If you read the label, you will find that these foods are not high in protein.  Therefore, you are loosing weight, but you are also loosing energy with the liquid diet.  While you can still have coffee during the diet, it is not a great idea.  Coffee can cause heartburn, acid reflux, oxygen inhibition, and loss of energy after a while.  Therefore, you need to have a well-rounded diet that looks more to the replacement of protein in your diet and eliminating sweets.</p>
<p>There are liquid diets that provide protein in shakes such as protein shakes.  If you feel you can handle the taste of such things, then by all means try them.  In order to lose weight you should not have to eliminate taste for a fit body.  The best way to lose weight is to have exercise and a healthy diet as part of your routine.</p>
<p>Other ways to ensure that you have enough calories and protein in your diet while you are on the liquid diet is to puree food.  You can reduce any food to liquid if you desire it.  This means after you cook the beef, chicken, or other protein you can toss it in a blender and make it liquid while adding a few vegetables.</p>
<p>The liquid diet can help you lose weight.  The idea is to stay on a diet that works for you.  You may find the liquid diet is not the best diet for you.  While you should listen to the doctors, published information, and any other information you can find for dieting while remaining health you also have to listen to yourself. <p>First, how many of you have tried a diet and found it to be unsuccessful or only successful while you stick to the plan?  I bet there are, at least, seventy percent of those reading this article that have found those results.  This is why there are several types of dieting plans out there.  You are given a choice in dieting plans so you can find what is most successful and healthy for you.  In other words, when you consider a dieting plan you need to understand your body and pick a dieting plan that works for you.  While the dieting plan may not work for everyone, there is a plan out there for you.</p>
<p>Questions you should ask when considering a dieting plan are as follows:</p>
<p>Do you eat a lot of carbohydrates?  If yes consider a dieting plan with less carbohydrates, but do not cut them out altogether.</p>
<p>Do you find you crave certain foods when you are on a diet?  Depending on the foods you crave you should add them to your diet.  I am a person who craves a lot of fruit during the spring and summer, but during winter I feel the need for a lot of sweets.  When choosing a dieting plan I need to concentrate on these cravings, not to eat the sweets, but to make allowances for the occasional need.</p>
<p>Do you find you crave fewer sweets when you exercise?  If this is the case, you will find dieting plans that do not include sweets as part of the plan important.  You will also find you might want to increase your exercise program to be more frequent in eliminating these cravings when you are not exercising.</p>
<p>Have you tried dieting plans where you concentrate on the amount of protein you eat and found it ineffective?  If you have a certain body type that requires less carbohydrates you should concentrate on counting carbohydrates rather than protein.  While you still need a certain amount of protein and you may lack in that amount, carbohydrates are more important in helping you lose weight.  </p>
<p>Have you tried dieting plans with liquid forms of sustenance only to find they are not working?  Most liquid diets fail because a person is not receiving enough calories during the day or the healthy foods they need.  While certain liquids can help you diet you really need to concentrate on having a well-rounded diet rather than one area.  Often times people find that they do not like the liquid drinks and revert back to their old ways.</p>
<p>No matter who you are, you need to find dieting plans that works for you. You need to work the muscles to help burn fat by lifting weights and countering this with cardio exercises. </p>
<p>In order to actually lose weight as well as increase your looks you need to find a combination that works.  You may find that three days a week of exercising is too much once you have gotten back to your ideal body type.  In order to keep your body type you will have to tone with exercising and dieting, but you may reduce that to two days a week.</p>
<p>Another part of exercising and dieting includes the food you eat.  The food you eat should be in proportion to your body.  This means you may just reduce the amount of food you eat at a meal to have less calories during the day or you may eliminate some foods from your diet such as sweets and carbohydrates.  What ever you choose, you need to be aware of the dangers of exercising and dieting too much.  You also want to understand how to use the exercise equipment to avoid injury to yourself.</p>

You need to understand how they can be beneficial and in what instances they may not be. Carbohydrates in dieting have been found to cause weight gain rather than weight loss.</p>

<p>First off, for safe dieting you need to have proper meals.  This means they are low in sodium, high in protein, low in fat, low in carbohydrates, and well rounded.  You should have protein, vegetables, fruit, and calcium as part of every meal.  The best safe dieting practice is watching your calories.  You should speak with a physician about the proper calorie intake for your body.  </p>
<p>Most products are based on the 2000-calorie diet.  This means an average person should be eating around 2000 calories.  Your doctor may look at your height, current weight versus your prospective weight, and your body type.  If you are five foot two inches or around that height your doctor may say 1200 to 1500 calories will suffice for your body.  A taller person may need more calories.  </p>
<p>Therefore, you need to determine your ideal weight.  What for you height is considered overweight.  How many calories do you normally eat in a day? <p>When you choose a low carb diet, you need to watch the amount of carbs in everything you eat.  This means you need to have a table, notebook, or computer to keep track of the foods you eat every day when you start.  Once you know the foods you can eat, you may not feel the need to keep track of what you eat.  Foods that tend to be high in carbohydrates include breads, applesauce, sweets, sodas, lattes, ice cream, and many other foods.  Most individuals can survive off forty-six grams of carbohydrates or less during a low carb diet.</p>
