Misting is a beautiful and very rewarding process I am a stickler on getting it right, I dont like sharp edges on a mist when you can still see the original image edges..grrr!

Some consider that faded edges is misting, that’s an opinion, I too have mine! I feel a misted image is something that appears to rise through a mist, as you would see in reality, soft mysterious and somehow very beautiful!

This is just one of many methods to obtain a beautiful misted image! You will learn how to apply a mask in PSP to remove and mist your background to make a soft and very beautiful misted image!

All my tutorials are in PDF format so that you can print or read in your own time on your PC. For this reason you will need to download Adobe Reader to open the PDF file.

You will need to know your way around PSP for this tutorial I would class this as an intermediate to advanced tutorial!

The beauty of graphics programs you can of course re-create just about any photograph and turn it into a digital painting, using your virtual brushes, it does take time and practice and patience but it is incredibly rewarding!

Here we take a simple photograph, use our program to draw and paint, and turn it into a digital painting! It is time consuming so give yourself time and space and keep having a break! I promise you, you will be well rewarded. In this tutorial I can give you guidelines but the end result is up to you and artistic licence.

All my tutorials are in PDF format so that you can print or read in your own time on your PC.
