Hope you are all ready for the holidays cause I know I'm not! LOL!  I seem to be having some issues with my mail. I am receiving them but I cannot respond. I promise I have it being looked into! In the mean time I wanted to kind of generally respond to some of the ones I have received. 

1.) Some people have been having problems signing up a new account (hopefully those of you can see this =) ) I ask that you please try again. I have had new sign ups since receiving your emails so it may have been a momentary glitch. 

2.) Visiting the site via your iPhone. After reading that email I did try on my iPhone and open just fine so I played a little. If you log on to the site from one page and then search other pages it keeps you logged in for some reason. My suggestion is try to close out all other open browsers (because if you are anything like me you forgot which window it was open in to began with LOL!) and then try again! Please let me know if this works! 

3.)For some of our new members: To post a new advice: click on the advice tab at the top of the page. On that page off to the right hand side there is a link that says "get MIL advice". If you click on that a new advice post window will open. All advice post do need to be approved so we ask that you please do give us a 24 hour window Monday- Friday to approve. I do try to get on sometimes during the weekend to approve as well but that is not promised. I also know that some of our abbreviations can be confusing. On the BLOG page we do have a link to the "DIL Dictionary". We have many posted there and if the one you are looking for is not please feel free to post a comment asking. Our sisters are amazing at helping out!  

I hope I covered everything!! If not please ask me again and I will try to get back to you as soon as possible!

Hope you are all doing well! 1st off I would like to welcome all of the new members we have! 2 and Congrats to all of our newly married sisters and all of the new babies! 

I also wanted to take a minute to tell you about a few new rules. I have noticed a few post come in with links to wise women unit. I will NOT approve any post that can be link backed to that site. We have finally quitted that situation down I just dont want to see it spike back up.  I have also received a few emails about some overly disagreeing. Starting now we are starting a 3 strike rule. If you find some overly disagreeing please email me with the member name and a link or the subject line to the post you have noticed it in. From there I will review it.  From there if I feel it has crossed over to being mean I will then email that member. If you receive 3 emails about conduct the 4th complaint will be termination of your account. As you all know My number one purpose here is to try to make sure every one is being treated fairly. We will not always like what we hear and some believe in tough love. I would also like everyone o remember that we do have a MIL or 2 on the site. One day we will all be MILs if your MIL still lives then so do your problems with her. And if they ask advice on helping out their DIL lets be fair and give it. If anything we are helping a sister to not become her MIL and saving another sister from having the pain and heart ache so many of you have endured at the hands of your inlaws! 

Lastly I wanted to let you all know that I am going out of town and will not be approving post Thursday threw next Monday. Thats November 17-21. Wednesday morning I will approve early morning then will not be back on till Tuesday morning. Also Holidays I usually do not get the chance to log on so I will not be approving Thanksgiving day.

DH is not close to FIL at all. Went well over 20 years without seeing or speaking to him. There's really no love there on DH side just obligation. FIL is a mean dirty old man who is also a massive hoarder. Some of those on the show HOARDERS cant even begin to touch FIL. He recently has tried to set my DH up with his GF daughter. He is known to be abusive toward women. DH and I have kept him at arms length for the past 10 years. We only see him every 2 years out of obligation (cause he threatens to come to our house, which he is not welcomed at) And the kids and I are not left alone with him for even a min. (DH doesn't even go to the restroom unless DD and I do as well) We have it all worked out. I am not liked by FIl because I remind him of my MIL and I have kept his baby boy away from him. Mind you DH has seen and talked to him more since we have been together then he did the 20 years previous. 

 
Well this weekend we went up to see him. We planned to spending Fri and Sat with them and Sun leave to take the kids to a theme park with out FIL knowing. (We didn't want him to come) First off he gets mad cause we say were going there instead of him coming to our house. Oh well! Then gets pissed that we are staying in a hotel and not with them. And again OH WEEEELL! So when we get there DH and I decided the kids and I were not going into the house. (Again massive hoarders along with 9 dogs and a ferret. Oh and did I mention not but a month ago dear ol grandma died on the couch?) Well we ended up having to go in for a minute. And I mean I timed it we were inside one full minute.  The smell was soooo bad we couldn't breath! Pee everywhere with a slight underling of death still. So we take off and go to the mall. And you can see the FIL is just steaming up the whole time. My DS1 needs a hair cut bad but he is 10 and determine to prove to me that he can grow it out and it wont turn into looking like like crap.(so far he is wrong! LOL)  So FIL starts talking about how he's going to kidnap him to cut his hair. Now you can't use the word kidnap around kids who barely know you and are obviously sketchy around you. My DD wont go near him and she's only 6. (And another one he told that he was going to kidnap)  Then we go to dinner at KFC. We have to pay for everything while were there. DH is standing waiting for the food and FIL sends DS2 to tell DH that FIL wants the kids to come stay the summer with him to go sailing. (on a boat he would build... UMMMM NO) well DS2 is telling DH this while DS2 is shaking his head no. FIL sees this and freaks out. "I saw you shaking your head no!" His 8 for god sakes and again doesn't know you and doesn't like you!!!! So now steam is building. On to Saturday. We meet up with them around 11 and FIL is chomping at the bit to go to some biker thing thats in town. I'm cringing the whole time thinking of a bunch of drunk bikers, my kids and my big mouth FIL all being in the same place at the same time. We talk him into going to the flea market first. We take up as much time as we can there. Well we miss the thing that he w3anted to see. AWWW to bad! as were trying to find something else to do we drive by where there all at now and he flips a u turn to head back where the girls are doing the sexy bike wash and an ambulance is out front taking away the first of the fight victims. So we told him to go check it out and we were going to stay in the car. And there went a few more snap snaps. We can see him building up to the big snap right. So next we go to this little fishing pier thing just to look out of the water and were all talking and the kids are playing with some other kids they met there and all's go ok. well about 1/2 hour into DH says "you know dad the globe and that that you want to send home with us why dont you hold on to that for a while. We dont really have the room in the car for it right now and were trying to clean a bunch of stuff out of the house" Trying in the nicest way to say we dont want you junk. well SNAP!!!!! FIL freaked out right there! "I've had it up to hear with you" "you need to FING leave right now!" and on and on. Screaming like he's talking to an 8 year old. With this my kids and I are in the car and DH is holding back with everything he has inside of him not to knock his father out. We ended up leaving that night instead of the next morning and DH told FIL to go to hell and die! I officially never have to deal with him again! It was great though cause the whole time we were with them he was trying his hardest to provoke me to get me to snap first and all I did was agree with him which of course only brought him closer to his own snap. I cant really tell you anything that he said while we were there cause I didn't really listen to him, just smiled and agreed!  Supposedly he is very sick and doesn't have much longer so I think I can safely say that is the last time I will ever have to see him!
