At the Mobile Reunion, I announced that I was in the process of compiling the Dingler Family Newsletter package 1980-2004 (176 pages) onto a CD. That task is now complete. Gail Stephenson Gurley sent us an email recently to let us know that her mother, Wylodene Dingler Stephenson, passed away last year. Here is Gail’s email:

My Mother, Wylodene Dingler Stephenson passed away May 26th, 2010. She was the daughter of Walter & Latha Dover Dingler. My Father, Ethridge F. Stephenson passed away in 1997.

She passed away (in Oneonta, Alabama, her Hometown for most of her life) after a relatively brief illness.

We learned today that Robert Kennedy passed away October 1, 2010, in Crystal River, Florida. Robert was the husband of Ramona Denney Kennedy. Our thoughts and prayers are with Ramona and their family.

His obituary is no longer availalbe online as it has been archived. If someone has a copy, however, please pass it along and we will post it here.

Yes, in fact it IS the Chattanooga Choo Choo. And it will be pulling into the station with the Dingler Family Reunion onboard!

When Eufaula turned out to not be available for 2011, we decided to move it back to 2012, and find a new host city. We cast our gaze northwards (but not too far north) and landed just past the Georgia border in Chattanooga, Tennessee.

Location for 2011 Reunion Changed

At the 2010 reunion, we decided to look at holding the next reunion at Lakepoint Resort State Park in Eufaula, Alabama. We looked into this option after we returned hom from Mobile, but they were already sold out for our weekend in 2011.

We waited and checked again after the new year to see if they had any cancellations, but there was no change. As a result we will not be going to Eufaula for the 2011 reunion. We are working with them, to secure our weekend in 2012, so we will still go … [visit site to read more]
