Hmm, I didn't even realize they were making a Max Payne movie. The trailer doesn't look too bad:

At least Uwe Boll isn't directing it...so we have a better-than-fair chance of it being decent.

Plus, I've come to enjoy Mark Wahlberg as an actor over the past few years (The Italian Job, Invincible, The Departed, Shooter).

Hello Graffiti

It's been a good run, but I'm saying hasta la vista to dasBlog and hola to Graffiti.

When I first started using dasBlog in late 2005 I did so because it was one of the few .NET open source blog engines available and I hoped to contribute to the source in my spare time. Well, the latter just never happened. I made a few local changes/fixes to the code running my site, but I never took the initiative to submit it. My bad.

Now I've come to accept that I just want blogging/CMS software that works and has some nice options. I have the utmost respect for the developers that contribute to dasBlog [listed on the right side after you follow the link], but it was starting to feel a bit stale. Omar actually brought Graffiti to the attention of the dasBlog developers [I'm a lurker on the email list], which is where I first heard of it. In a nutshell, I liked what I saw and decided to make the switch. A few of the deciding factors were:

Simple & quick installation
Several theme choices I liked
Themes are easy to customize [like adding my logo to this one]
As a full-blown CMS application, it can do much more than just a blog application [if I ever want it to]
The devs are very active in the forums

One thing to note, if you switch from dasBlog to Graffiti you can maintain your posts' permanent links with a plug-in written by Omar. It replies with a 301 redirect to the Graffiti permalink whenever the original dasBlog permalink is requested. Here is Omar's dasBlog301 for Graffiti CMS tool on CodePlex.

I'm a huge Indiana Jones fan. Hell, I even own a fedora, but I did not do this in the theater yesterday....

As far as the fourth movie in the series goes, I really enjoyed it. Raiders of the Lost Ark still ranks as my favorite, but Kingdom of the Crystal Skull is tied for second place with the Last Crusade. We all know that Temple of Doom was a mistake [Short Round...wtf?].
