Display Showcase at Festival de Mayo

Krater and LOD + Carmelo Fernandez will present Display at Festival de Mayo, one of the most important festivals in Mexico. In 2010 it celebrates its 13th Edition and it will hold performances of artists from Colombia, Chile, Argentina and Spain. The Canarias Crea Display showcase that will take place on may 22 at Teatro Degollado will represent Spain on this International festival whose previous guests incluyes Cornelius, Apparat Band, Sr Coconut, Towa Tei, Thomas Brinkman, Colectivo Nortec, Mouse on Mars, Tujiko Noriko, Aoki Takamasa, etc

Convocatoria de artistas Dis-play 2010

Mediante este comunicado se abre la convocatoria para todos aquellos músicos electrónicos y artistas visuales de Las Islas Canarias que deseen participar en las exposiciones y conciertos audio-visuales de Display 2010.

Además del evento principal, que se desarollará como siempre en Berlin en Julio de 2010, se realizarán diferentes presentaciones del evento en Méjico y Holanda. Para estas presentaciones se tendrán especialmente en cuenta los artistas Canarios que residan en Méjico y Holanda, mientras que para el evento principal se tendrá en cuenta los artistas Canarios que vivan en Canarias, Alemania, España y resto de Europa.

En todos los casos los trabajos que se presenten deben de estar ligados a la electrónica y la experimentación.

Display 2010 ofrecerá a todos los artistas seleccionados billete de avión, desplazamientos internos, alojamiento y dietas.

Plazo de presentación de solicitudes: 20 de abril de 2010

Todos los interesados deberán presentar lo siguiente:
- formulario ( descargatelo aqui )
- biografía ( en formato .doc o .pdf )
- requisitos técnicos ( en formato .doc o .pdf )

Proceso de selección y publicación de resultados:

El jurado calificador esta integrado por especialistas en el medio los cuales conforman la coordinación de proyectos y actividades en Canarias Crea Display 2010, su fallo final será dado a conocer el 24 de abril de 2010.

Canarias Crea Display 09 has had the participation of artists Carmelo Fernández, Raquel Rodriguez, Enrique Cardenas, Aurora Ramon Gregorio Viera (Gvisual) and Raquel Ponce. All of them belong to El Hueco, independent artists' collective con-fused between action, body, image

What is El Hueco? Spatial hole at the confluence of creative artistic interests confronting the territories and borders increasingly exist between the scenic area, image, performance, music, visual arts. The Gap is a project that walks intermittent and itinerant after completion, with satisfaction, a period of eight years as a physical space to create and producción. Its main motivation is to generate processes of research, artistic creation and production, activate the thought, reflection, conversation.
