Chick fil-a didn't just wade into this.. They didn't just decide to take this stand recently.. Their values as a company have alway been those they speak of today..

I think it's shameful that a Mosque can be build at ground zero but a fast food chicken place can't just becuase of what the owner's personal beliefs are and how HIS food establishment that HE invested in and HE BUILD (contrary to the belief of the president) chooses to allow those values and principles to not be hidden but to be voiced.

These mayors show what true bigottry is when they constantly scream "bigot" at the very idea of someone peacefully voicing or even thinking a thought that goes agaist what they think is right, then deny a chicken place to be build in their city because of the belief system of the owner..

I'm not gay... I think it's wrong... I think it's destructive to what I think a family is.. If ask what I believe, I would have no hesitation to voice that opinion. AT THE SAME TIME, I know that this is not how some feel or believe. I present my views and reasons for those views.. Someone voiced thier views and thier reasons for thier views. In the end I may not change how the other thinks nor will he probably change how I feel or believe... AND -- when it's all done and all has been said.... WE CAN ALL GO GET A GOOD CHICKEN SANDWICH...

Everyone has the right to their own opinion, I agree with the company's stance on the subject matter, but if you are someone who likes being with other members with the same body parts well that's your choice. A man was made to be with a woman and woman was made to be with a man, of course a gay person would not understand that logic but in the end it's fact. That's the way I feel about it and so do many, but as I said I have a right to voice my take on the matter and so does anyone else here or anywhere whether gay or straight this is still america and we have that right.

I am surprised you are a gay female and are ok with what he said. It's the mindset of others like him that are keeping gay couples from enjoying the same rights a heterosexual couple has. All because it's supposedly not in the bible? I'd rather take my money and make my own chicken then support someone who feels that gays don't really deserve the rights that heteros get to enjoy when they marry. Also, why would I help make this guy a living when he thinks gays aren't really considered a family unit? I wonder what he would say if he had a gay child who wanted to get married, but wasn't allow to. "Sorry Jonny, it's not in the bible for you to be happy because you are gay."

*Note this particular comment is from a neutral standpoint* Comment to everyone who hates how chick-fil-a has spent money to stop gay-marriage. If they didn't spend that money they would not being advocating their beliefs. If they didn't advocate their beliefs in anyway, they would be allowing the opposing side (for this particular controversy it would be gay marriage) to further their beliefs( in this situation it would be allowing gay marriage to be legal). This means they would be indirectly supporting gay marriage by not doing anything. I am glad that Chick-Fil-A is voicing their opinions during a time where intolerant people scrutinize others just because the other doesn't believe what they believe. People cry out for tolerance, which means putting up with something EVEN IF YOU DISAGREE WITH THAT IDEA, and yet they hypocritically do not show the same tolerance that they cry out for.

So, Chick-Fil-A is being castigated by the gay-marriage crowd, essentially for having the same viewpoint that Obama had about three months ago. Sure sounds like solid (lack of) logic to me! First, the protesters who are trying to position Chick-Fil-A as "haters" are simply absurd. CFA expressed an opinion--nowhere does that mean hate, they just expressed an opinion. I'm pretty sure that we are all capable of expressing opposing opinions without it turning to hatred, or at least I hope that is the case. That is a juvenile and petty tactic to twist the intent of their opinion. Second, gay marriage is still not even legal in most states! How can an opinion with concurs with the laws of the majority of the states be construed as being so controversial? Marriage has been clearly defined as being a union between a man and a woman for thousands of years. Suddenly the LGBT community and Obama decide that they want to change the definition, and we are all immediately obligated to fall in line in agreement? Not likely, and targeting CFA for having the b@lls to express their viewpoint is not going to help their cause in the court of public opinion. Sounds like a bunch of spoiled children having a temper tantrum.

There was no hatred in Dan Cathy's quote. He just stated his opinion that marriage should be between a man and a woman. (An opinion most Americans hold, by the way.) Chick-fil-A does not discriminate against gays. It hires gays. It's not hatred for a man to say he doesn't support gay marriage.Until 2 months ago, Barack Obama was not a supporter of gay marriage. Liberals did not accuse Obama of being full of hate, and Obama was not banned in Boston. So WHY was it okay for Barack Obama to refuse to support gay marriage, but not a Christian restaurant owner?

Until 2 months ago, Barack Obama was not a supporter of gay marriage. Rahm Emanuel did not tell Barack he was unwelcome in Chicago. Liberals did not accuse Obama of being homophobic and full of hate, and Obama was not banned in Boston. So WHY was it okay for Barack Obama to refuse to support gay marriage, but not a Christian restaurant owner?

Why is this even in the news? Who cares. Welcome to the real world, where people have different opinions, beliefs and morals. To each their own. Mr. Cathy has every right to believe what he wishes, this is why we live in the United States of America! Everyone needs to get over themselves and rid themselves of their attitudes of expectancy that suggests everyone should be pro gay marriage and if they aren't they're labeled as religious freaks, bigots etc the names can continue. There are MANY other businesses out there that have owners who are Christian, are you going to discriminate against them because of their beliefs too? Sounds a bit hypocritical. But seriously...lets focus on more important issues rather than arguing over why this man should be put out of business simply because of his faith and beliefs.

PS: if you are offended and dont want to spend your money there then don't but dont try to make everyone else not go there just because you arent.

Responding in hate towards him is worse.. I have my opinions but I can't put them over others as if I am right and they are wrong. I'm so sad by our response to one another. I see this in Democrats and Republicans too! Why are we so hateful. Scary to me.... Hitler hated and his propaganda lead to horrors... you restored my hope in all of us caring for one another and accepting each other and each persons right to express an opinion. an explicitly established law is an intellectually irresponsible thing to do.

The laws against incest are motivated by the drop in quality of life resulting from an increase
in genetic defects brought about by recycling the same genetic pool. Of course, you know that
