Introducing my very first sewing project EV-UH. They aren't perfect, but they make me pretty darn happy and bring a beautiful pop-o-color to our living room. This past summer I dove into the 'Benefit' line a little deeper. As a result, I am now a huge fan of their eye brightening products and lip/cheek stains. Since I am at school from 8am-10pm many days of the week, I appreciate beauty products that can last all day. I realized that even though we are all unpacked and moved in to our new apartment, our walls are somewhat bare. My sweet friend, Amanda, gifted me her grandmother's antique chair. The chair is quite old and needed a pick-me-up, and I felt up to the challenge. So far, I've removed all the old fabric and guts. I was surprised by all the dirt and "bird's nest" padding inside. The next step will be to find new padding that will work with the springs.

The adventure in knitting continues. I picked up patterns from knitology for the felicity hat, and straw.com for the wristwarmers. I altered the hat by doing a k1 p1 ribbing for the first 5 inches, giving a little added stretch. I also made the wristwarmers a little more personal by doing ribbing for the first 3/4 inch, followed by stockinette stitch, and ending with 2 1/2 inches of ribbing. I
