The WWE Women’s U.S. Title will no longer be defended on the April 17 episode of SmackDown and the champion, Giulia, will no longer be in action. We will now get a number one contender match for the Women’s U.S. Title. Tiffany Stratton will be taking on Jordynne Grace.

Stratton’s last match was the end of March where she failed to defeat Giulia in a non-title match. For Grace, she just returned from a sprained ankle injury. She was victorious on this week’s WWE Main Event against Zelina Vega.

Giulia is in her second reign as champion and has held the gold for a second time over 100 days. She has had one defense against Alexa Bliss.

There has been a huge question mark lingering over the head of the WWE Women’s Tag Team Title Match coming at Saturday’s Night One of WrestleMania. Nikki Bella injured her ankle a few weeks back in a match and there has been concern on if The Bella Twins will still be part of the Fatal Four-way bout.

According to a report by BodySlamNet+, Nikki has not been cleared to compete. She was originally set to team with her twin sister Brie against Charlotte Flair & Alexa Bliss, Bayley & Lyra Valkyria, and the champions – The Irresistible Forces.

2. Sasha Banks (c) vs. Bianca Belair — WrestleMania 37

After a riveting weekend at TNA Rebellion, we’re back at it again this Thursday with some more Knockouts action!

Tasha Steelz and Jada Stone are set to face off again one-on-one on Impact. After months of back and forth and a sneak attack last week at the hands of Steelz, Stone looks to get even with the former Knockout champion.

After a passionate speech by Mustafa Ali, Stone charges to the ring to take on Steelz. Stone takes Steelz off her feet and sends her to the outside. Unfortunately, Stone hits a miscue, and Steelz sends Stone crashing into the ringpost to take control of the match.

Stone begins to fire back against Steelz and hits a Split-Legged Moonsault to get a two-count. Steelz is doing anything it takes to wear Stone even more. Order 4 tries to get involved, but the referee sends them all packing to the back. Stone tries to sneak a pinfall, but rolls her way to land a Spark Stunner to pick up the win.

Back in the Undead Realm, we see Victoria Crawford as she gets chased by demons. Meanwhile, Rosemary is catching up with Joseph Park, who seems to be heading “up north.” We seem to get a glimpse of a mysterious woman. And Tessa Blanchard attempts to fight off the demons herself, but her efforts are futile.

Mara Sadé and Allie run into the mysterious figure we saw earlier, but Crawford gets spooked by her. Blanchard finally finds Rosemary and gives her a beatdown as she gets tied up with chains. Sadé and Allie help Rosemary, and Allie is off to pick a fight. The Diamond Collective finally escapes, but Rosemary gets what she needs out of Blanchard.

We soon see The Diamond Collective come back to our realm from under the ring. Sadé and Rosemary return as well and look to take them on. Unfortunately, the numbers are not on their side as The Diamond Collective takes them to the ring. But, Allie is finally revived from the dead and takes apart The Diamond Collective as they retreat.

Lei Ying Lee talks about the betrayal at the hands of Xia Brookside at Rebellion, and she’s looking for answers. When Gia Miller prompts to get answers out of Brookside, but she stays silent.

The WWE Women’s United States Champion, Giulia, will be defending the title against Tiffany Stratton in a rematch. It will take place on the go-home SmackDown to WrestleMania on April 17.

These two had a match a few weeks back in which Giulia won. That match was non-title. Giulia is in her second reign at 105 days and has defended the title one time against Alexa Bliss.

Maxxine Dupri faces off against Raquel Rodriguez in one match, while we get the return of Jordynne Grace who faces Zelina Vega. Grace had been out of action since spraining her ankle in her last Main Event match against Alba Fyre. That match never aired.

Riding the wave of wrestlemania weekend, CMLL had an appearance at the Palm’s Slam Fest Event at the Palms in Las Vegas Nevada.

TNA Knockout and CMLL regular Tessa Blanchard had a chance to challenge the reigning CMLL World Women’s Champion Persephone.

In her second title defense since winning the CMLL Title, La Diosa del Ring successfully defeated Tessa Blanchard after a crucifix powerbomb.

The current CMLL World Women’s Champion Persephone is current working on a dual contract with both CMLL and AEW. According yo the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, WWE had some eyes on her. There is talk within WWE about signing Persephone when her dual contract expires later this year.

In January 2026 the reigning champion revealed that she is now signed to both CMLL and AEW Persephone’s most recent match on AEW TV was on the March 11 episode of Dynamite, where she unsuccessfully challenged Willow Nightingale for the TBS Championship.

Though she hasn’t had only one match on AEW television this year, Persephone has been featured regularly in Ring of Honor.

CJ Perry, known in WWE as Lana, has not returned to wrestling since she left AEW. Her husband, Rusev, have been back on WWE programming since 2025. He will be in the multi-man ladder match this weekend at WrestleMania 42 for the WWE Intercontinental Title.

Perry recently spoke with Ariel Helwani who asked her when she may return to WWE by the side of her husband.

“Lana, right now, is exiled in Siberia. She let her country down and is doing work there. CJ, when the time is right, I will appear. Hopefully that will happen sooner rather than later, but in the meantime, I’m focusing on writing for Uncrowned. I love new journeys. If I can be in the world of storytelling and entertaining, if it’s on a podcast, stand up, writing a wrestling column, I am very grateful that I can stay in the business or storytelling and hopefully entertain and put a smile on faces,” she said.

“That would be a dream (to be back with Rusev), for sure. I love working with my husband. One of my favorite things to do is collaborate with create with other creatives, and I think my husband is one of the most creative, smart, funny, athletic, iconic wrestlers and creative minds that I know.” (Fightful/Transcript)
