This upcoming weekend, June 27 & June 28, has four big shows for wrestling fans. WWE’s Night of Champions, NXT’s Great American Bash, TNA’s Slammiversary and AEW’s Forbidden Door. Overall we will be getting 12 matches.

On June 27, WWE will be presenting Night of Champions from Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The show has two women’s matches on the card with one being the finals of the Queen of the Ring Tournament, while the other is for the Women’s United States Championship.

• QOTR Finals – Liv Morgan vs. IYO SKY
  • Winner earns a title shot at SummerSlam. Morgan is already the Women’s World Champion.
• WWE Women’s United States Championship – Tiffany Stratton (c) vs. Jade Cargill
  • This is the first time the WWE Women’s U.S. Championship will be defended on a PLE since its inception.
  • Stratton has held the title for 62 days and counting and has defended it successfully against Kiana James and Lash Legend.
  • Stratton and Cargill are no strangers to each other in the ring as Cargill defeated Stratton for the WWE Women’s Championship at Saturday Night’s Main Event in November.

On June 28, NXT will host its Great American Bash. It will take place in Orlando out of the WWE Performance Center. Three women’s matches are on the card and they are all for championships.

• WWE Women’s Speed Championship – Wren Sinclair (c) vs. Arianna Grace
  • Wren won the title back in March and has yet to defend it
• NXT Women’s North American Championship – Zaria (c) vs. Tatum Paxley
  • Zaria recently won the title from Paxley.
• NXT Women’s Championship – Lola Vice (c) vs. Kendal Grey
  • Lola has been champion since April at Stand and Deliver where she won the title off of Jacy Jayne in a Triple Threat. That match also included Kendal.
  • This will be Lola’s fifth title defense as she has held the title for nearly 90 days.
  • Will be main eventing the show

The wrestling weekend continues as TWO more shows are coming on June 28, this Sunday.

First, TNA will be having their annual Slammiversary event. It will be taking place in Boston. There are currently three Knockouts matches set for the show.

• Indi Hartwell vs. Mara Sade vs. Elayna Black
  • To air on preshow
  • All three women have championship gold on their mind
• TNA Knockouts World Tag Team Championship – The Elegance Brand (c) vs. Rosemary & Allie
  • The Elegance Brand are in their second reign as champions. They won the belts back in January.
  • This will be their fourth title defense
  • This is Allie’s first title match since returning to TNA. Her last title match for the promotion was in 2018.
  • Rosemary is a former four-time tag team champion in TNA.
• TNA Knockouts World Championship – Lei Ying Lee (c) vs. Xia Brookside
  • Lei is in her second reign as champion. She won the title off of Ariana Grace in April, this will be her second defense.
  • Lei and Xia were tag team partners until Xia turned heel on her.

Lastly, we have AEW’s Forbidden Door event. This event is cross promotional to include STARDOM, NJPW, and CMLL. There are currently four women’s matches set for the show.

• AEW Women’s World Tag Team Championship – Divine Dominion (c) vs. Thunder Rose & Olympia
  • To air on the preshow. Olympia is CMLL representation.
  • Divine Dominion have been tag team champions since
• TBS Title Survival of the Fittest Qualifier Match – Skye Blue vs. Maika
  • To air on preshow. Maika is STARDOM represntation
  • Winner goes on to be sixth and final participant in the upcoming July 1 Survival of the Fittest match for the vacant TBS Title. The winner joins Hikaru Shida, Persephone, Kris Statlander, Harley Cameron, and Queen Aminata
• Owen Hart Cup Finals – Mercedes Mone vs. Maya World
  • Mone won the Owen Hart Cup last year
  • Winner gets AEW Women’s World Title shot
• AEW Women’s World Championship – Thekla (c) vs. Starlight Kid
  • Starlight Kid is STARDOM representation
  • Thekla has held the belt since defeating Kris Statlander in February.
  • This will be Thekla’s seventh title defense.

With Slammiversary just three days away, the Knockouts hope to make one last impression before the big event Sunday.

After their debacle last week, Ash By Elegance will be taking on Mara Sadé tonight. The Elegance Brand are set to defend their TNA Knockouts World Tag Team Championships at Slammiversary against Rosemary and Allie. Sadé, a friend of the Undead Realm, looks to knock The Elegance Brand down a peg before the big match. Indi Hartwell is on commentary for this match, who has also had problems with Ash lately.

The crowd begins calling Ash a mark, and this prompts Ash to wail in despair on the mic. She claims she needs another mental health break and tells M By Elegance to take her place in the match. Ash heads to the back, while Elayna Black makes her presence known.

Sadé is in control, but loses focus as M takes her out on the top rope. M gets hit with a crossbody, but Black makes her way down the ramp as she tries to distract the referee. All chaos ensues as Hartwell comes in to take out Black. Just as Sadé gets the advantage on M, Black takes out Sadé to cause the disqualification. The Undead Realm comes out to even out the chaos, as The Elegance Brand and Black retreat.

After that fiasco, it’s now been announced that Black, Hartwell, and Sadé will now go at it during Countdown to Slammiversary.

Xia Brookside will finally get her chance at Lei Ying Lee’s TNA Knockouts World Championship this Sunday. She has one more stop to go through as she faces Harley Hudson tonight. Before the bell even rings, Brookside gets a cheap shot in on Hudson.

Brookside is in control of most of the match, but Hudson finds a comeback and does some showboating of her own. Hudson meets a nasty landing, as Brookside hits the Darksided to gain some momentum heading into Slammiversary. Post-match, Brookside attacks Hudson, and Lee comes to make the save. Brookside keeps damaging Hudson in the ring, but retreats as Lee arrives.

WWE’s Piper Niven has been out of action due to a neck injury since last August.

In May, Niven underwent an anterior discectomy, which is a surgical procedure to treat pinched nerves, herniated discs, or spinal cord compression in the neck. She has provided a six week update.

She first states, “6 week post surgery check up today’ Everything fusing nicely.”

Niven the follows up the update with, “neck straighter than my sexual preferences.”

Diva Dirt continues to wish Ms. Niven good vibes on her recovery.

NXT’s Great American Bash takes place this Sunday on June 28. There is currently three women’s title matches to take place, but the NXT Women’s Title will main event the show.

Lola Vice will be defending against Kendal Grey. Grey won this opportunity in a number one contenders match against Kelani Jordan. Grey has been in a title match eith Vice before, however, this was when Jacy Jayne was champion and the three found themselves in a Triple Threat. Vice won the match to become champion.

Vice has held the title since April.

The CMLL World Women’s Championship will be defended this Saturday on AEW’s Collision. The current champion Persephone will defend against Billie Starkz.

Persephone has held the championship for 111 days and counting ever since she took the belt off of Mercedes Mone in March. She has successfully defended it so far against Lacey Lane and Tessa Blanchard.

This is the second women’s match confirmed for Collision as we will also see Mone team up with Athena to take on Maya World and Hyan. This will air just one night before Mone and Maya battle in the finals of the Owen Hart Cup at Forbidden Door this Sunday, June 28.

NXT’s Adriana Rizzo went out of action last year due to an ACL injury. She had a prior partial tear, but the same knee had a full tear that took her out of action. Her last televised match was a mixed tag team loss as The Family lost to The Culling in March 2025 on NXT.

Rizzo took to social media to confirm that she is cleared. It isn’t known when she will return to TV. The Family stable no longer exists that she was a member of.

Then, in 2025, I tore that same ACL completely, tore my meniscus, and sprained my MCL—all in my left leg.

We are about four days away from Forbidden Door, but tonight on AEW Dynamite we continue to see who qualifies for the Survival of the Fittest Match for the vacant TBS Championship.

Marina Shafir is set to take on Harley Cameron tonight to see who can qualify for the fourth spot for the Survival of the Fittest Match. Shafir gets a head start on Cameron before the bell, but Cameron channels her inner Supergirl as she goes flying on Shafir.

Cameron gets ahead of herself and gets ragdolled by Shafi, but fights back with a Sideslam. She gets in her strikes on Shafir and tries to lock in the Half-legged Boston Crab. Shafir powers through each time, but Cameron scraps the leg of Shafir and gets the surprise win to qualify.

We get a closer look at the finals of the Owen Hart Foundation Tournament, as Maya World will take on Mercedes Moné at Forbidden Door. World is getting her dream match, but Moné is willing to put a stop to her Cinderella story. This Saturday on Collision, World will team up with Hyan to take on Moné and the Ring of Honor Women’s World Champion, Athena.

This Sunday, the AEW Women’s World Champion, Thekla, will defend her title against Stardom’s Starlight Kid. After invading Stardom and attacking Stardom’s CEO, Taro Okada, she is determined to keep spitting on the company that fired her.

To determine the fifth participant in the Survival of the Fittest Match, Queen Aminata will take on the Ring of Honor Women’s World TV Champion, Red Velvet. The two hit hard on the get-go, and Velvet luckily dodges a headbutt from Aminata. However, Aminata eats a hard landing in the center of the ring as Velvet follows up with an Axe Kick. 

Aminata finds a way to fight back after dumping Velvet off the ropes. Both trade blows, but Velvet shows a bit of remorse. This sets Velvet back as Aminata hits a hard headbutt and drives her boot into Velvet to qualify.
