Fellow women’s wrestling site Lethalwow was on the scene and sent along this video of several WSU stars celebrating the trio’s inductions including TNA Knockout, Angelina Love. The clip also has some footage of the indcutees in the ring with their Hall of Fame plaques.

I’m sure you’ll agree, three very deserving women and I’m truly happy for each of them. Congratulations!

WWE.com has a gallery up featuring a selection of what they consider the best WrestleMania ring attire won by the Superstars and Divas. Only one Diva makes the cut but it just so happens to be the A-Lister — Melina.

This attire was won during WrestleMania 23 when Melina defended the Women’s Championship against Ashley Massaro.

Speaking on Monday Night Mayhem, Molly says:

I could not shine the shoes of those ladies in the Hall Of Fame now (The Fabulous Moolah, Mae Young, “Sensational” Sherri Martel, along with Wendi Richter). I don’t ever see myself being in the Hall Of Fame. Although I had a great career, I’m nowhere as talented & amazing as those ladies. I totally respect them, and I’m sure Trish, Lita, Chyna, & other girls did way more for the business than I did will hopefully be in the Hall Of Fame.

Is she just being modest? Self-deprecating? Or does she not know the sheer impact that she has had? Knowing what a grounded, humble woman she is, I think it’s perhaps a combination of the first and third. I really hope that in this instance, Molly is proved wrong. She deserves it just as much as many of the other girls. She was underutilised during her time but WWE does seem to realise what a great talent she is and I think when the time is right, they’ll do the right thing.

Molly also speaks on why she thinks the new all-female promotion, Wrestlicious may just work:

The reason I think it (Wrestlicious) might work is there is so much serious drama on TV, and to have something totally ridiculous just might be a change of pace for people to escape their realities. It would great if it succeeded, and it could be one of those things like G.L.O.W., where there was just this sub-culture that was so drawn to it and was this thing that people talked about for years to come.

We’re just two weeks away from WrestleMania and this week, it looks as though the final matches are being added to the card. Unfortunately though, still no Divas. We can probably expect an announcement to be made the week of the event as is always the case with the women but we want to know what you want to see.

Given the direction of Raw and SmackDown in recent weeks, it seems there are two clear cut title storylines developing: Eve vs Maryse for the Divas Title and Beth vs Michelle for the Women’s Title. Which one do you want to see at ‘Mania or is there another match you’d like to see instead? If you select ‘Other’, please type in the comments what match you’d like to see!

The segment, as well as the succeeding segment with Rob Van Dam’s TNA debut and a confrontation between Hulk Hogan and Sting, drew 1.07 ratings respectively which made them the most watched portions of the show. Last night’s Impact averaged a 1.0 rating compared to Monday Night Raw’s 3.4 on the first night of the new Monday Night Wars [if it can be called that].

Despite the heavily promoted in-ring returns of Ric Flair and Hulk Hogan as well as the return of Jeff Hardy, it looks as though the Knockouts are still one of the shining lights in TNA right now. Of course, that rating will probably go ignored by Eric Bischoff and co. who have seemingly decreased the Knockouts exposure since the ‘Hogan era’ began in January. It amazes me how TNA continues to think it can bend the rules to what they think the fans want to see [Ric Flair and Hulk Hogan wrestling] rather than capitalising on what works.

Melanie’s Thoughts
Once again, TNA manages to combine the various Knockouts feuds into one segment. I think this should be an incredibly strong segment — it definitely sounds it on paper. TNA has done a good job with all the recent Knockouts action. I’m looking forward to an eventual Angelina vs Velvet singles match and hope that Daffney vs Tara occurs at the PPV.
