Katy Perry has spoken candidly with Vogue about her relationship with comedic actor Russell Brand, shedding some light as to why she and the funnyman called it quits after fourteen months of marriage -- and the decidedly impersonal way he decided to end it.

Perry sites the touring atmosphere as one of the main reasons her and Brand had problems, saying her ex-husband didn’t like the "atmosphere of [Perry] being the boss on tour." "I felt a lot of responsibility for it ending," said Perry of her divorce.

“But then I found out the real truth, which I can’t necessarily disclose because I keep it locked in my safe for a rainy day. I let go and I was like: This isn't because of me; this is beyond me. So I have moved on from that."

Regardless of the issues that transpired between the two, Perry also praised Brand in the interview for being a "very smart man." "I was in love with him when I married him, [but] let’s just say I haven’t heard from him since he texted me saying he was divorcing me December 31, 2011," said Perry.

Additionally, she touched briefly on her relationship with singer John Mayer, admitting that she was and still is "madly in love with him."

Some time early Tuesday morning (June 18), Rihanna passed Justin Bieber as the most-viewed artist on YouTube. The 77 videos on Rihanna's official VEVO channel now have a combined 3.784 billion views in total, surpassing the total view counts of the 79 videos on Bieber's official VEVO channel by roughly two million views.

Rihanna surpassing Bieber's popularity on YouTube is largely due to the size of her subscriber base. Rihanna has 8.73 million subscribers on the platform, 3.7 million more than Bieber's 4.9 million. This means that while the average Bieber fan is much more engaged than Rihanna's, Rihanna has much broader reach as an artist and is therefore able to secure more view counts to her name over time.

This discrepancy in fan-base stays true on the Facebook platform, where Justin Bieber's 54.3 million "likes" on the platform dwarfs Rihanna's 72.3 million. However, it's not the case on Twitter, where Bieber overtook Lady Gaga back in January as the most followed person on the platform and has just recently became the first person to surpass 40 million followers.

Beyonce Settles $100 Million Lawsuit With Gate Five Video Game Company

Beyoncé has wiggled out of a lawsuit brought by a video game company that sued the musician for allegedly backing away from a deal to create a motion-sensing dance game.

Gate Five filed the lawsuit in New York court in April 2011, claiming that the superstar had acted on "a whim" the previous Christmas with an "extortionate demand" for more compensation for "Starpower: Beyonce."

The demands drove away a financier and caused Gate Five to lay off 70 people during the holidays, said the lawsuit.

Beyoncé's argument in the case was that she had a valid contractual right to exercise termination provisions after Gate Five was unable to fulfill obligations to obtain $5 million of committed financing for the project.

In opposition, Gate Five contended that it was on the verge of closing a $19.2 million financing contract before Beyoncé got antsy.

Gate Five looked to investigate whether Beyonce had dropped Gate Five in the interest of scoring a better deal with a competitor. The company sought all sorts of documents including a possible audit conducted by Beyonce's law firm on the management company run by her father. Beyonce's attorneys called it a "fishing expedition" and a breach of attorney-client privilege.

There won't be any trial. Last week, the parties submitted papers in court that discontinue the claims. An attorney for Gate Five couldn't be reached but has been quoted as saying that the lawsuit was settled amicably on confidential terms.

Jennifer Lopez has signed on to join Antonio Banderas in the Chilean miner film "The 33."

Mike Medavoy is producing the drama, based on the true story of the 33 Chilean miners who were rescued after being trapped for 69 days in 2010.

The film will mark Lopez's first big-screen role since starring opposite Jason Statham in this year's action-thriller Parker.

Martin Sheen and Brazilian actor Rodrigo Santoro also have boarded the ensemble film, which was presented to foreign buyers at last month’s Cannes Film Festival.

Good Universe is handling international sales. Patricia Riggen (La Misma Luna) is directing from a screenplay written by Mikko Alanne and Jose Rivera, with production scheduled to begin in the fall in Chile.

On initial introduction to the title, it seems somewhat “random” for a Mariah LP. However, this cryptic Tweet by Mimi today appears to put everything into context.

P!nk & Beyonce have made respective wins on Billboard’s Hot Tours Chart- grossing a combined $38 million in the last week.

Thanks to dates fulfilled between the US Airways Center to Boston’s TD Garden, Pink‘s ‘The Truth About Love Tour’ grossed an impressive $23,689,932- placing her atop the Hot Tours chart this week.

Kicking off on February 13th of this year, the show comes in aid of the star’s latest album of the same name- which now boasts 6x Platinum status in Australia, Platinum status in the US and a 2x Platinum spot in Canada, achieved before the tour generated $2 million in a single night played at Chicago’s United Center.

Meanwhile, in extending the tour’s lead as one of the highest grossing outings of all time, Beyonce‘s ‘Mrs.Carter Show’ Tour rises on the same chart this week- coming at No.4 with $14,383,930 from 9 UK tour dates- 3 of which being nights played at the Manchester Arena.

Billed by many fans as a greatest hits tour, demand for the stage show exceeded supply upon the release of its tickets, with 3 million British fans attempting to purchase these tickets minutes once they became available via 02.
