Another piece of card sponsored for Emila Yusof (f.k.a Emila's Illustrated Blog) 2009 Top Commentators.

Previous card sponsored was a thank you card, but this one is a love themed card. Hence, the classic colour for love - red and pink were used. We love this card so much.

Began with two padded hearts placed together on the white card stock. The card was decorated earlier with hand stitched on the edge. Next, foam double sided tape was used to paste it on the pink pattern paper. Then, we tied a ribbon on it, started from the back of the pattern paper to the front. Last but not least, for a little more touch to the love theme, we added the "Hugs & Kisses" charm by hanged it using a mini pin on the ribbon.

We are not expert, but we have still have a lot of things to be learnt. Yet, we love to share a little of ideas that we have in making cards. And, if you noticed, our cards are mostly simple. Perhaps, you can made one on your own... *smile*

Hola!

Sorry for the long hiatus. But, we are here, trying to update the so long pending post! Tehee...

Okay, starting from this post and later, we'll be sharing only one card per post unless for certain reasons. Thus, each post will be shorter, easier to be labeled and also easy to be viewed.

On the other hand, the special request is still close due to time constrain until further note. Please do not hesitate to drop an email to us if you have anything to ask regarding this matter. BUT, if you really, really, really, need a custom made card, try email us and who know it might be your luck if we can allocate some time to make your request.

A Little Announcement and Teacher's Day Cards III

Hi everyone!

It's already Wednesday of the week and it's the last day of June. Half year of 2010 gone already. So fast time flies. And about in a month plus, it will be Ramadhan, the fasting month! We can't hardly wait for Ramadhan to come...

By the way, we have a little announcement to make. Starting tomorrow, 1^st of July, we won't be taking any custom made card order until further notice. We have placed this notice earlier on the right sidebar in red colour font. Any update, check on the sidebar ya! However, the blog will be update from time to time to clear all the pending posts. But if you do have any questions or inquiries, kindly drop them at the shoutout box or you can also send us an email. We will get back to you as soon as we can.

My niece, Meena called me on a late Friday evening last month.

Her: Cik Sinar, are you busy right now?
Me: Not really. Why?
Her: Cool. Can you make me five cards for Teacher's Day?
Me: No problem. When is the celebration?
Her: Monday.
Me: *Glup*

Me: Ask Eca (little sister), whether she wants Teacher's day cards too?
Her: Okay, I'll let you ask her personally.

The phone was handed over to Eca...

Me: Eca, you want Teacher's day card like Kak Meena?
Eca: I want.
Me: How many?
Eca: Wait. I have to count first.
Me: Okay.

After couple of seconds...

Eca: I want six. Six only.
Me: *Gulp*

So, all together I have eleven cards to make within two days before the cards need to be flown to Ampang, Selangor. Phew~

I don't like to work within short notice. But for the sake of my beautiful nieces, I hate to let them down, I forced my brain to think. I made very simple thank you and appreciation cards for the teachers. Yes. Thank you and appreciation. I mean, that's what Teacher's day all about right?

I wish I have extra time so that I could do better cards for them! Sigh. So, these are the not-so-happy rushing cards... *sorry teachers*

Cat Name Tags

Sorry for the long hiatus. Only now we have time to update the blog. We are so sorry. So, let's straight to the new story.

A customer has ordered a set of name tag for her cats. She wanted to use the tags for the photo album special made for her cats. By the way, at the time she was ordering, she has 23 cats! So 23 name tags need to be made.

It was challenging tough since every name tag should be different to each other, not to tell about cutting the fonts as well. A lot of patient was needed. We totally forgot about the tag size. If not mistaken, it would be probably around 3.5 centimeter for the width and 14 centimeter long.

We'll will be sharing only eight of the total tags in this post. So, enjoy! The rest will be post in the coming next two post. Do come back to see more of the tags. See ya!

The First Altered Frames

We made them last year. However, we didn't have much time to story about these. So, here are they..

It was our first attempted to alter frames. We bought few set of Ikea's wood frame and later altered four of them for Emila Yusof (f.k.a Emila's Illustrated Blog) 2009 Top Commentators.

The first frame took some time to finish. We face difficulties to cut the paper following the frame size. However, things went better for the rest of the frames. Phew.. We realised that decorating the frames were so much fun especially when they turned out great..

The frames are now with their new owners and we hope that they like the frames which they had won...

We Are Back And The 7435th Visitor!

It's feel so good to be back continuing the business...We have been away for more than a month yet we have many jobs waiting. Alhamdulillah. Our business is temporarily close but who say we can't have a little fun, right?

Time For A Break!

We planned to close this business starting April to concentrate on the studies since examinations are just around the corner. However, due to massive orders lately, we decided to close it earlier.

So, business will be close starting today, 24 MARCH 2010 until middle of MAY 2010.

That means, we wouldn't do any crafting or making cards unless for the previous orders. However, we'll try to update this blog once in a while.

It was last night when the elder sister can't sleep and no mood for crafting, so she was lazying around with card photos and Photoscape and, tadaaa..that's our brand new header banner! Hee..

Obviously, the new header is much more colourful right!

Oh, It's Birthday Boy and Mickey!

We received two cards request from an old friend. Both were birthday cards but different theme. She requested one to be based on black and blue, colours which commonly being used for men while the one based on the Disney character, Mickey Mouse!

Since the first card was for a boy, we made just a simple one. Some punched black stars on the image, and a ribbon tied on it. Plus we added a sign of Birthday Boy too. Just ordinary black and blue...

This was our first attempted to come out with character card. Forgive us for the colour tone thus made it kind-of-like dull card. We have no choice since, Mickey Mouse should have white and black colours except for the tongue! Right?

By the way, the making of Mickey Mouse's face was complex. We had to be very carefully while cutting the eye and the mouth. However, we enjoyed through out the process to complete it! Hee.. This card brought the memories when we have to do collage for art subject. *grin*

A simple congratulation card made for a friend. It was for his personal usage.

The theme was lingering around purple, pink and white colours. Diamond were added at the end of the flower petals, just to symbolize the success at end of a long journey.

Hope our friend, and the recipient of this card love it...

Eca's 8th Birthday

We made two birthday cards in conjunction with Eca's 8^th birthday. One card was requested by her family and the other one was from us.

This is the card requested from her family. No special request on the details, just needed a card for birthday. I simply placed a mini ladybird peg course it just cute like our adorable Eca.

Two Hearts Anniversary

Sue requested an anniversary card for her future husband. It was their second anniversary and the color theme - red, black and white were selected by the customer herself.

This is our the first anniversary card made in Diyadeary.

We used two flowers glued with heart beads in the middle on the card to show that two hearts are happily in love for the second anniversary. Besides that, the three steel brads located in the right were the sign of "I Love You".

Red and black are always been our favorite and this card no exceptional too! I love how the black embossed background paper and the lace ribbon gave effect to the card.

We hope her future husband loved the card we made. And for others, please sent us some loves if you like this card! *smile*

Ohh..ohhh.. It's already new year! Dang~

We still have plenty of cards to be update. There are one, two, three, four, five.... errk... still got twenty plus plus cards ok! Duh~ We are sooooo much behind from the timeline. Sigh. We'll try to clear as much as we can during this long weekend.

By the way, another card was created! This time it was a good luck card made for a friend who was going to sit for his final examination.

While making the card, there is no particular design for it. So, we just went crazy placing the embellishments randomly which where we thought were okay! However, we find that we loved the final result. *grin*
