It was kind of difficult translating a bunch of sci-fi characters into a fantasy game, but this one turned out really well. I only wish there was single-barreled gun model that wasn't a massive rifle.<br /> <br /> This is going to be my official last post here for a long, long time. I have no time or money for WoW at the moment and I hugely lost inspiration to keep coming up with transmog sets. It was fun while it lasted! For his weapon, I chose a sword since it seemed to be the only weapon fit for a man from high society, but it is completely optional. I'll admit the belt doesn't really go with the rest of the set, but I absolutely could not resist using it because of its name! It'd be very easy to find an alternative on the auction house, I'm sure.<br /> <br /> As with all of the other Firefly sets, the one pictured is meant for roleplay but if you want to use it for transmogging the list of items includes everything you will need. I was originally going to use a robe like the <a href="http://www.wowhead.com/item=89673" target="_blank">Robe of Eternal Dynasty</a> because of the necklace detail, but this purple one looks so close to one Inara actually wore. The wand is only there because the colours match... the fan looked like something Inara would own. Ugh! Sometimes things like gloves and shoulders just completely ruin a set, which is why this one looks so much better as a roleplay set than a transmog set. Oh well.<br /> <br /> There are a number of different options for the <a href="http://www.wowhead.com/item=61052" target="_blank">Missionary's Leggings</a> for Horde under the Same Model As tab on Wowhead. They are Alliance only, but I had no choice... the name was perfect!<br /> <br /> As with the other Firely sets, the list has all the items needed for a full transmog set and you can click on the link under the picture to view it. The boots were perfect for River, but you can't even see them! Too bad. I know the off-hand item looks more like a mace than an axe (as River is seen weilding in some of the Serenity promo pictures) but again... a little imagination is needed. It is an off-hand item and not an actual mace, so clothies can still transmog this set. Woohoo! The sword is Alliance-only but I'm sure there is a suitable substitution out there for Horde characters. As with the other sets in the Firefly series, the one pictured is without a few items but the list and the Wowhead link have all the pieces if you wish to transmog the full set. Certain items like the shoulders just don't suit these roleplay sets since none of the characters wore shoulder armor. But anyway... You have no idea how damn happy I was when I saw that shotgun in MogIt when I was making this set. It even has the right colours! Best day ever. Little known fact: I always try to pick items that have matching names as well as colours. This guy is easily one of my favorite characters from Firefly! This set requires a little bit of imagination... I struggled to find suitable main- and off-hand items for Wash since he doesn't really wield anything in the TV show or the movie. Then I saw this mace and off-hand and my mind went immediately to the pilot episode where Wash is playing with his toy dinosaurs. My first offering is going to be this small series of sets inspired by the cast of the best show that ever was... This is intended to be used as a roleplay set, but the list of items above includes all the pieces necessary if you wish to transmog it. I haven't used any of the new gear introduced in the expansion yet, but I still think this fits theme somehow. Tier 5--and its recolours--always has and probably always will be my favorite mage set... I also really like using capes that still coordinate but don't have any of the dominant colours in the rest of the set. Hah. The rules for this event, the equestrian, were to make a set that coordinated with one of the horse mounts (the zebra was not considered a horse mount). At first I was going to design a set based on the spectral steed you get from Tol Barad, but for some reason I just couldn't come up with anything good. The <a href="http://www.wowhead.com/item=2411" target="_blank">black stallion</a> was the first mount I ever purchased, long ago when you could only get it from Menethil Harbor! The black and blue on the mount seemed to fit perfectly with the <a href="http://www.wowhead.com/item=22798" target="_blank">Might of Menethil </a>(which, the horse originally being from Menethil, made sense to me to put the two together, hah) but since that mace is no longer in the game, I used a different item with the same model. For the rest of the set, I chose black items with hints of blue, or as close to it as I could get.<br /> <br /> So this concludes my weekly feature on all the sets I used for the Transmogolympics. There were no restrictions to follow for this one, so it was a little difficult to pick out exactly what I wanted to do... the only thing I knew for sure is that I wanted it to be designed for a gnome! I haven't had much time to play these days, but after the first week I've managed to get my mage to level 88. The only thing I don't like about questing in this game is how silly your armor looks as you pick up new quest gear.. so of course I have my set transmogged! I usually try to dress my mage in nicer clothes than this. None of these items are new from the expansion, so who cares if they get a little dirty from questing? Hah. I haven't yet found any Pandaria gear that's caught my eye, except for the <a href="http://www.wowhead.com/item=80874" target="_blank">Staff of Trembling Will</a> from the last boss in Temple of the Jade Serpent. I haven't been posting much in the pre-expansion lull, but hopefully that will all change once there's a new selection of gear to transmogrify.
