It happened AGAIN!?

Remember the story about the girl who took advantage of my kindness by fooling me into believing she was interested in more than just me finishing her web portfolio and web coding final? Well this foreign women tried pulling the same shit on me at a coffee shop trying to get me to design her a website for her final assignment for a class of hers.

I am not satisfied with the service I received from Secant Technologies’s apple repair staff.

Although so far it seems that they’ve repaired my mouse and keyboard issue, the topcase that they claim to be “brand new” is in worse physical condition then my previous topcase.

Area’s of the topcase are bowing around the top right keys and bottom left wrist area. There are chips of pieces missing around the edges.

They told me they replaced my superdrive but I am still unable to read or write ANY cd’s.

I did get a new monitor, but it’s still bowing and they couldn’t replace my battery.

They’ve given me a power adapter… Oh wait thats used too.

After having to wait a whopping 13 days after numerous, “tomorrows”, I have lost all faith in Apple products and services.

I'm going crazy.

My Macbook pro has officially been gone for a week. I’m seeing color’s and demons are calling my name.

Macbook Pro in for repair.

Here are the problems I’ve been having with my macbook pro:

Keyboard + Mouse randomly stop working
DVD/CD Drive will not burn anything
DVD/CD Drive will not read cd’s.
Dead pixels in the monitor.
Bowing of the screen.
Battery already dead… already.
Power cord exposing wires (covered in electrical tape)

Other than that it works.

Special thanks to the guys at Secant Technologies who are currently giving my laptop the love and care it finally deserves, before it’s back into my abusive hands.

Meeting with Elina today!

This entire month I’ve been struggling to run their adwords campaign and facebook ad as well with my own money. After completely shattering my wallet I’m going to be reporting to Elina the numerous opportunities she has with Google Adwords and facebook. Also got Elina’s Twitter over 400 natural followers and over, and over 200 fans on Elina’s Facebook Page.

Some things we have planned in the work’s for Elina is sending out email flyers to all Illinois and Michigan organic spas and salons to let them now about their upcoming conference for the Association of Holistic Skin Care Practitioners that happens annually.

Working on a redesign for her website as well to more closely match the new bottle designs that she’s got in the works currently.

I can’t wait to let Elina know all of these accomplishments this month and the bright future of her internet presence.

The real question is why shouldn’t business use twitter.

There is this girl that I liked, I dont feel I need to get into the definition of what liking means because I’m sure all of you already know. Because I will only be talking about her she will remain nameless.

This girl originally approached me wanting my help with her portfolio website. Foolishly googly eyed I helped develop her site and host it on my webhost for free. After not hearing from her for months and what became over half a year, I sent her a zip containing all her website files and a message letting her know I wasn’t having any of that crap. A year later and her excuse for not following up with me was because she “had a boyfriend at the time” assuming that I was seeking something more from her than just more web developing experience (which would only be true under any other circumstance.)

So what was the subject that she approached me about A YEAR LATER? Her website. I’m fighting myself with the dilemma that she’s either using this as her only in since my only undying passion is web design and anything internet related (and STILL expects me to make a move… REALLY!?), or she’s just using my generosity to get free web work.

djdtm likes Transmit (FTP Client)

So it’s been a couple weeks since I bought Transmit and so far my experience with it has been amazing. Just like how I used Cyberduck there are only a few main functions that I use most which are drag and drop uploads, FTP book marks and editing files right off the server, all of which I have experienced to be smooth buttery goodness. The only hangups I’ve experienced with Transmit have been few and far between usually having to do with changing directories or logging into FTP servers, no where near as bad how Cyberduck has become. The $30 is totally worth a clean, fast and effective ftp client. I figured I’d buy an FTP client that already works than donate to a free one hoping for improvements.
