For 14 years Marc Fairfield has lived House Music.

His well crafted and technical sets have allowed him to play beside some of the biggest names in the industry. Sexy vocals, deep bass lines, and a wide array of instruments are staples in his sets. In 1999 He formed Our House Productions; a production company based in Chicago. During that time OHP hosted parties with the best talent that this music has to offer. He has been booked to play shows across the country in places such as Chicago, Milwaukee, Las Vegas, Phoenix, L.A., and Miami.

As of late Marc has taken to the new generation of House Music……Funky, Jackin, Instrumental, make ya want to smack ya momma House. The new fusion of Soulful lyrics and glitch has everyone’s attention since he made Phoenix his home in July, 2008. He has held multiple residencies while playing some of the hottest house nights in Phoenix/Scottsdale including Solstice, Fuse, Switch, and Retro Hi-Fi.

He was the winner of the 2009 Phoenix New Times Spin-off, and has multiple releases upcoming on Juiced Music, Caboose Records and Dirty Monkey Recordings. The future looks bright for this house veteran.

Curtis B  is known internationally as a high octane performer and assiduous producer. Hijacking a huge variety of genres and fusing them into one well worked set has set him apart from other DJ’s, as well as his music production earning him many spots within Beatport’s Top 100 Breaks, Dubstep, Glitch Hop & Electro House charts.

His tracks have been dropped by some of the biggest names in the EDM community. Artists such as Diplo, Wolfgang Gartner, Evol Intent, Dieselboy, Plump DJ’s, Reid Speed, & DJ Icey  have championed Curtis B’s unique sounds, and moving forward, we can only expect more success and accolades from one of the most hard-working and dedicated cats in the game.

Curtis B’s  sets not only bend genres and smash stereotypes, but he also is one of the most entertaining performers touring today. High energy is an understatement, you can see that nobody has more fun and enjoys his craft more than the man himself.

An event that the entire midwest marks on its calendar every spring – the Psychotronic Party Series – is set for Saturday, April 28th this year. Blindfire Entertainment , a major part of the St. Louis EDM scene, hosts its premeir event – Psychotronic 6 -  at the Old Rock House, in St. Louis MO, a change that promises a more intimate, personal vibe.

The Psychotronic Series, along with other  the St. Louis “must-attend” events (think Panoptic’s “Winter Warpdrive, “4sho’s FML” series, etc. )- is a prime example of the community that exists between different “crews” and “cliques” of the EDM scene in St. Louis, and the midwest. These are must-attend events not only for the general admission crowd, but for the other  promotion crews, dj’s(even those not booked!!) , production crews, and other Vip types.

2012′s installment – Psychotronic 6 – has been creating buzz since the lineup was announced some 45+ days ago. Electro Giants Designer Drugs  (Ultra Recrods) lead a lineup that covers nearly every beat-heads preference.

It’s been a long journey to find myself…..and through music, I can share all the emotions and energies I have experienced along the way. February 13th, the day before St.Valentine’s Day – Unkle Funk makes his debut on Caboose Records…..The Lovelies EP feat. One Little Fishie is a release that celebrates the many faces and depths of love, and the emotions that come with it. It will be the 10th Release on Caboose, following several strong releases from Tim Rella, Pete Le Freq, and Crussen. Vocalist and good friend One Little Fishie makes her record debut as well.

This year, the midwest’s most anticipated event gets even bigger. For 7 years now, Panoptic have been pushing the limits of what a indoor, dead-of-winter event can and should be. WWD is not your run of the mill midwest party. Events and productions like these take a full year to plan and execute –  and without a doubt –  the term “what you give is what you get” applies here.

Stage presentation, decorations, lighting, live art, vending, ice sculptures….the list can go on. WWD is an experience, and I can’t wait to see what can happen with such an open and large space like the Family Arena. Private Suites, a handful of live artist and a group mural, body painting and a spectral art dome by Jumbie Art are just a few of the things I am personally excited about for this year and the new experience that is waiting, only a few weeks away!

I have had the pleasure of knowing two of the main cogs of Panoptic – Miss J and Shawn Harvick for a while now, and their commitment to this event, as well as the overall love and advancement of the EDM community in general has really impressed me, and it’s always refreshing to meet and become close to like-minded souls. It’s people like Julia and Shawn that really make our community possible, and it’s no wonder that Winter Warpdrive has become a annual celebration for the midwest and beyond.

All that – and we haven’t even TALKED about the lineup! WWD has a history of bringing some of the most sought-after selectors and live artists , and this year is right in line!
