It’s Christmas Eve 2015, I’m waiting for the turkey to fry. Meanwhile… I decided to flip some Frank Sinatra. Here’s the result. Merry Christmas, everyone!

I DON’T own the rights to the original song “Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas” by Frank Sinatra. This is just me playing around with the sample.

Decided to make a mix while my wife was getting ready in the morning.

After a few days of going back and forth with the label, I can finally say that this version of Adele’s “Hello” is done! Goin in, I figured there will be a billion EDM versions of this… so I took a completely different route. I pulled out the live instruments (bass guitar, guitar, Rhodes piano, etc) and made this classic style soul remix.

Background: I had a previous version with 808s and synths but it was rejected by the A&R.

I decided to do a test run. So, I dusted off the old playlist and dug a few years back (OK, a few decades) to test out how these songs will sound on the show.

There are certain skratches you do with certain sounds/phrases. It’s like a puzzle. Once you figure it out… it’s like solving a Rubik’s Cube.
