href="http://dkgadget.com/tag/Verizon">Verizon Wireless has today released a PR clarifying their position on scraping of unlimited data plan. They have provided another way around where you will require pay full amount of the handset in advance with no terms attached. This will make you qualify for the offer however, paying full price of the device won’t be favorable for everyone.

This only means that Verizon doesn’t want customers to give an easy access to the 3G data unlimited plan, but thought of giving something. The recent move could be credited to yesterdays outrage of Verizon customers over social networks but this is far from a satisfactory explanation and Verizon is no mood to provide customer satisfaction. Below is the PR release and you can make out anything of it.

“As we have stated publicly, Verizon Wireless has been evaluating its pricing structure for some time. Customers have told us that they want to share data, similar to how they share minutes today. We are working on plans to provide customers with that option and will introduce new plans later this year.

When the new options are introduced, Unlimited Data will no longer be available to our customers purchasing handsets and signing a new contract. Customers who choose to purchase phones at full retail price and are currently on an unlimited smartphone data plan will be able to keep that plan. The same pricing and policies will apply to all 3G and 4GLTE smartphones.

We will share specific details of the plans well in advance of their introduction so customers will have time to evaluate the plans and make the best decisions for their wireless service. It is our goal and commitment to continue to provide customers with the same high value service they have come to expect from Verizon Wireless.”

Source: <a

As of now, Samsung Australia is sending invites for the launch event. You can safely bet that the device will be made available to public in few days from the launch event.

Samsung Galaxy S III has dimensions of 136.6 x 70.6 x 8.6 mm with a weight of 133 grams. The display is 4.8 inch Super AMOLED Plus 16 million colors capacitive touchscreen with corning gorilla glass 2 serving as protection. It can render a resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels. The CPU of Samsung Galaxy S III is very powerful with Quad-core 1.4 GHz Cortex-A9 serving as processor and Mali-400MP forming the graphics rendering engine with 1 GB of RAM. The slow word is definitely not in the list of Samsung Galaxy S III.

Further, Samsung Galaxy S III has Accelerometer Sensor, Proximity Sensor, Touch sensitive controls, Gorilla Glass display, Gyro-sensor, Barometer, RGB Sensor, NFC, MicroSIM card support only, HSDPA, 21 Mbps; HSUPA, 5.76 Mbps, 4G (availability varies across regions), Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n with DLNA. Wi-Fi Direct and Wi-Fi hotspot, GPS with AGPS, Bluetooth 4 with A2DP profile, and is powered by a generous 2100 mAh battery.

Samsung Galaxy S III has 8 MP rear camera with 2MP front camera for videocalling. We expected the device to host at-least 12MP camera matrix module but taking the camera cues performance from Galaxy S II, it should be a very good snapper with lots of settings to play around.

To know more about the features and availability of Samsung Galaxy S III, go CNET that it will see a simultaneous launch in Singapore too. The confirmation was communicated by Nokia as well.

Nokia Lumia 900 will be available for purchase in Singapore starting May 26 for 670 USD without any carrier contract meaning it will unlocked version. Customers will be able to choose from three colors: white, cyan and black.

With regards to specifications, Nokia Lumia 900 has dimensions of 127.8 x 68.5 x 11.5 mm with a weight of 160 grams. The display is 4.3 inch AMOLED Capacitive type 16 million colors that can render a resolution of 480 x 800 pixels, also embedded is corning gorilla glass protection for safety. The device runs on a single core 1.4 GHz Scorpion processor which is very good and is definitely fast in the world of Windows Phone.

The camera module is 8MP with Carl Zeiss optics, autofocus and dual-LED flash. We didn’t liked the camera module on lumia 800, it wasn’t what we expected from Nokia and was a letdown. The rear camera can record videos at a resolution of 720p @ 30fps. There is also a front 1.3 MP front camera for videocalling.

The device comes with 16GB internal storage memory with 512 MB of RAM, and as is the case with a windows phone, there is no microSD card slot to further expand your storage. Also, the device has Accelerometer Sensor, Proximity Sensor, Ambient Light Sensor, HSDPA, 42 Mbps; HSUPA, 5.76 Mbps, WLAN 802.11b /g / n, Bluetooth 2.1 with A2DP profile and is powered by a Li-Ion 1830 mAh (BP-6EW) which is screwed to the case.

<a

The rumor is nothing new and has been around for a while.

According to the published report, Apple has ordered a larger screen for the next iPhone and the production is set to begin next month by suppliers. Apple till now was hesitant to adopt a larger screen with fear of it getting bigger than what people like. There is also a thinking that Apple might fix the 4 inch within the same frame of current generation iPhone.

Last year, Samsung’s flagship product ‘Galaxy S II’ has sold more than twenty million and there is definitely a sign there that people are looking for a larger screen. Also, iPhone was launched in the year 2007 and during that time, a 3.5 inch screen was a big one. We too think that its time to get something litter bigger.

<a
