I am going in about two weeks, and I can not wait until I go on these rides. :D I have only visited Disney Land Paris once before,in 2009 and I don't think people should judge this until they have been on it or have seen it,been on it or seen it when finished.

George is perfect for the job...I worked for George when he was the VP at EPCOT when he created the Millennium Village. He is very approachable and even let me shadow him for a day...which included sitting in on a business budget meeting then took me to lunch in Norway. He even put in a good word for me to work in Disney Golf. Thank you George and good luck with your new position...I know you will be great at it.

I was working that day, as a performer, and I was due to be in the two parades that were cancelled. It was chaotic because the strikers were targeting department and it seemed highly likely that they would disrupt our floats. We weren't allowed to get into any minivan or bus without checking the driver's identity first. The cast of the Snow White show were very nearly ambushed by the protesters and had to run backstage. However, we all wanted to go out and perform and our managers didn't want to disappoint the guests. The cast of Stars and Cars went out for a meet and greet after the strikers left the Studios and the entire cast of parade took over Central Plaza when the main park was safe. I can safely we all tried extra hard to interact with all the guests to make up for their disappointment. I did see some very scared looking children in the morning but managed to get a smile back on their faces. By the afternoon, everyone just looked pleased to see Christmas elves and ostrich girls running round the park, as well as all the Disney characters. If you were there that day I am so sorry about the disruption caused and I hope you feel that all the characters and dancers went some way toward making up for it.

OMG! That show is amazing. Why can't that be a nightime show like wishes and the light one. All that for publicity. They are tricking people into spending alot of money on a holiday at DLP to see the show that has been advertised to find it was a one of for V.I.P's thats just shocking!

I am a smoker and do take offence to some comments placed about smokers. Every time I have been to the parks I have used the designated areas in the same way when I'm in every day life I move away from any children or others sat beside me. I too do not want someone smoking next to me whilst I wait for the parade or for a ride. The areas that have been chosen are away from entrances for the rides, in areas that most non smokers will not visit.

France, and Europe as a whole, it culturally different from the States, more people smoke and it is more accepted. A blanket ban would mean more problems for staff tied up with those smoking in hedges and more people coming in and out of the park making queues larger. However, staff should be more vidulent on queues and around parade time.

Please do not tar us all with the same brush.

I bought some of these tickets last year, just for when queues were very long in August. We used them again in December, just to see if they would work, but the parks were not that crowded, so we didn't need them on that trip. They worked fine though. However, I am now receiving reports that they no longer work in the new FP machines in the parks, so beware of buying any unless you can be positive that they will work in the new machines. If sellers have stockpiled the old tickets, they will still be trying to sell them. Notice that many ebay FP sellers state ' no return'.

Just to say to Jenny (I know I am 2 years late in this topic) but I don't think Bill was meaning you would purposely blow smoke into a child's face but more of what Sarah is saying and that when you are smoking, children will also be smoking passively. As far as I am concerned, smoking is wrong and cigarettes are a drug and therefore should be illegal the same as any other. You are not only killing yourself but are to others who don't want to smoke. It is immoral in my opinion! DLRP done the right thing to implement this ban however I think governments across the world should ban it all together (like I said it is a drug) or at the very least banned in all public places.

I...don't understand why Casey, Jr. can't run in his real colours. Sure, it's not as garish but he's more recognisable, truth be told I think Disney forget a lot of people DO recognise him. In the past I've heard people ask why he's in such a strange paint scheme and I have no idea how to answer it. Imagine Walt's criticisms as a train buff!

If he was original paint and without that banner smothering his view he could count as another classic character, from past experience kids love his scenes, not to mention John Lasseter, etc!

If they ever decide to build a Soarin' ride at DLP that would be fabulous. It is my favourite ride in WDW. Another park with Epcot type rides would be brilliant. There is plenty of land available to build on. However, I still think the Studios could do with a ride for everyone, like the Great Movie Ride.

I agree that it would be a good idea to move Pizza Planet to the Studios, to go with Toy Story Playland. When my sons were small, we only ate in the fast food restaurants, as that was all they wanted. Now they are grown, we all enjoy the buffets and table service restaurants, and I can spend a week there without eating a single chip or burger!
I also agree that a good restaurant is badly needed in Discoveryland. We used to get our food early at Videopolis, and sit at a table with a good view of the stage so we could watch the show after eating. The Beauty and the Beast show was excellent, even though it was in French. Much better than the short version in the Studios in WDW.All the shows we have seen there have been good- such a waste of a theatre now, just showing Mickey cartoons. ( nothing against Mickey of course, but it does not compare with a live show.)
