DML newcomer Nick León hits us with some spacial vibes to end our Sunday night with “Celestial”. Other-worldly synths team up with warped sampling reminiscent of many Flume productions in a perfectly executed track that is, well, celestial to say the least. This dude has released 3 solid tracks in the past month, and there is only more to come. Perfect close to the weekend.

After thinking Dan Black had been mysteriously abducted by aliens of a foreign planet, I found out today that I was wrong! Thank Yeezus… I have always been a huge fan of Dan Black, and absolutely love his new single featuring the lovely milkshake boss, Kelis. It’s a surprisingly calm song, with a little pinch of an electro sound. It’s typical Black, but sounds a bit different for Kelis. Either way I am lovin’ the vibes from this tune and hope to hear more.

British crooner Dornik exploded onto the blog scene today with his first SoundCloud release “Something About Us”. Receiving support from both Disclosure and Jessie Ware, his first tune boasts smooth synths and soulful tone reminiscent of Michael Jackson. The song is soon to be released on PMR Records, but for now, sit tight (and hope for a Disclosure collab).

Old track? Whatever. One of Avicii’s first real mainstream gems gets a rework from a quiet upcomer, Michael St Laurent. This melodic is the definition of chillstep. A calm and collected atmosphere with just enough bass is perfect for me.

As part of her upcoming album, ‘Don’t Look Down’, Skylar Grey has produced this wonderful pop track that stands alone out of her work. With ‘Wear Me Out‘, she puts forward a song ready for a big band and full of a power many songs lack; very much along the likes of Lana Del Ray.
With the video, it seems to be an interesting take on what the song is about; youth, fighting, and the ‘wear and tear’ of relationships. (Also catch the sneaky dre beats ad at 1:27. If only all ads were like that)

Expect to hear the full audio stream on the Interscope soundcloud page, where you’ll also catch another one of her latest single releases, ‘Final Warning‘ which came out just over a month ago.
Also of note is Eminem is producing her album ‘Don’t Look Down’, hence his appearance on the song ‘C’mon Let Me Ride‘.

I am giddy right now as I try and contain the joy inside of me while blogging this. Disclosure, producers of my favorite current album and layers of the foundation to many of my favorite remixes just got the Flume treatment. I’m still getting over his epic edit of Rustie’s “Slasherr”! While this is more laid back than the “Slasherr” edit, it’s equally enjoyable nonetheless. The elegant vocals from Eliza Doolittle echo “This is gonna be everything you ever dreamed”. Well folks, this collab is everything I’ve ever dreamed…and more. A majestic orchestral wave of pure bliss.

With Oxymoron on the way, the buzz around ScHoolboy Q could not loom larger. Q teams up with Black Hippy counterpart Kendrick Lamar for his first single off the album, “Collard Greens”. The smooth hook and frantic kick drums make the perfect layout for two of the game’s hottest MC’s to lay down flames over. Kendrick spits one of the hottest bilingual verses to date, icing on the cake to an impressive track. Oxymoron has no release date, but you can pick up the single on iTunes here.

Its a miserable rainy day on the East Coast but there’s nothing better to pull you out of a rainy-day funk then some groovy jams. This new jam from Moon Boots isn’t the newest track but its definitely a gem. I feel like I need to head down to a roller rink and do a 70′s boogie jam.

“U.O.E.N.O” has received the remix treatment from a multitude of rappers, yet the beat has hardly been touched upon. CRNKN did us all a favor and dropped this minimalistic trap banger. Full of heavy 808s and weirdly addictive squeaks, this remix is the perfect adjustment to turn an already favorable track into a summer jam.
