Manny Pacquiao will be fighting six-time world champion Oscar de la Hoya on December 6, 2008. De la Hoya said that the fight on December 6 would be his last bout. He has been negotiating with Pacquiao for weeks and has had difficulties negotiating how to split the revenue. Manny called his coach Freddie Roach, telling him that he’s ready to do the fight. Roach promised a great fight as Pacman battles de la Hoya.

A total of 1,513 out of 2,506 passed the Physician Licensure Examination given by the Board of Medicine this month. The University of the Philippines-Manila has the highest passing rate among schools with 100 or more examinees at 98 percent. UP got the 3rd, 4th, 8th and 9th places.

It was followed by the University of Santo Tomas at 95 percent, or only 14 flunkers. UST got the 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th and 10th places. The Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila came next at 89 percent or 11 unsuccessful examinees.

In the Grand Fiesta Eat Bulaga in Los Angeles, Joey de Leon referred to Pokwang as Aswang in a song. This remark did not go unnoticed by Willie and Pokwang in Wowowee. Willie Revillame in a televised remark said that everyone should respect Pokwang because she is after all only “tao din.” Pokwang meanwhile said, “Eh, siguro lab niya ako. Hayaan na lang natin ang lolo niyo, basta ako magta-trabaho na lang ako at magpapaligaya ng mga tao.”

Beijing held its formal opening ceremony today for the 2008 Summer Olympics. The ceremony, held in the National Stadium known as the Bird’s Nest, was attended by thousands, and watched by 40 billions more on television. Laarni Losala in the Probee List… Again?

After garnering 4 votes, out of 7, Van was officially declared safe from the upcoming Expulsion Night, thus leaving Apple, Miguel, and Laarni as the official Probationary Scholars this week. Excluding Poy, Laarni got the 3rd highest, Miguel 7th and Apple 8th. Van and Bunny were saved considering they have the lowest grades.

Laarni Losala doesn’t deserve to be in the Probee list.
