This condition makes a dog so anxious about being left alone that several things could happen in a matter of moments.

The dog may become irritable and would start barking incessantly. Not only that, the dog may start to destroy property by chewing on it. Glass doors and windows may suffer scratches and pretty much everything inside the house will be in complete disarray in the hands of a dog that is suffering from separation anxiety.

Year after year, many properties suffer from the wrath of this condition that it is not surprising that many pet owners would like to know how to cure a dog with separation anxiety.

The very first thing you can do is to teach obedience training to your pet dog. This will help the dog be grounded and learn commands and all the proper responses given by the master. It will teach a dog to be calm and always ready to listen for commands.

Another way to deal with dogs with separation anxiety is to allow him to have his own place in the house be it a mat or just a folded blanket. Make sure that it is cozy enough for him replete with basic necessities such as food and water. You will do a lot good for your pet this way because he will be less dependent upon you in the long run.

Remember that a dog will be in good behavior based on how much you have trained it to behave. If for example you have to leave the house and the dog will just be there alone, train him to stay calm when you are leaving by patting its fur or with only a short goodbye just as you would with average people. This way, the dog will not feel or at least think that it is being left alone for good.

Dogs that suffer sepration anxiety bark like crazy. If you do not want to disturb your neighbor and receive complaints from your landlord, it is a good thing to train your dog to be always calm.

When returning from home, do not forget to have a sort of reward system for your dog when everything is left to where it should be. The dog will remember his actions and will continually behave itself base on the fact that you reward him when he keeps calm all thoughout the duration of your absence.

If you have a pet dog that just goes absolutely crazy when you leave them, then he might be suffering from dog separation anxiety.

This happens when a dog becomes so accustomed to the company of its master that any moment where the master is not around will make the dog eagerly wanting to run off from home and follow its master wherever it might be.

Continue reading this article and learn some signs and causes of dog separation anxiety.

To be able to correctly figure if your dog has some separation anxiety you need to be aware about some of the reasons why dog separation anxiety happens.

The leading cause of anxiety in dogs is lodged on the fact that many dogs were adopted from shelters and pounds.

This location or environment is so stressful for animals like your pet dog, that when they are made available for adoption and somebody does, the relief they get is so dramatical that it sticks to their mind in a very personal way.

When the master leaves the house, it triggers the dog to feel as if it is being left on its own once more and anxiety will kick in.

The primary responses of a dog that is anxious is destroying property. Dogs may try to scratch doors, carpet or bite into other things just to feel secure once more. The amount of damage from pet is so many that identifying this disorder is and should be the first in your list if you are keeping a pup.

Another instance where the dog may suffer from dog separation anxiety is traumatic stress. The dog will think that when the master is leaving, the traumatic experience is akin to it. Barking non stop and pawing things or scattering things are just some of the initial response of a pet dog.

A good way to treat puppies with separation anxiety issues is to help them exercise daily. Dogs have extra energy inside them and it needs to be unleashed from time to time by doing healthy exercises with them. A game of pickup the ball or running around open space will the dog be able to handle stressful situations such as when you are leaving home without it.

Lastly, you should always be sure that the dog has all it needs for the duration of your absence. Make the dog comfortable by giving food and water which is readily accessible to him. Dog separation anxiety can be cured and successfully conquered by a pet owner who shows concern to his pets.

People who have used this system report it is hands down the best dog training system online. There are pages of comments from pet owners that were finally able to calm their furry terrors.

You probably already know that training a pet can be a full-time job. The experience can be very frustrating if your dog is by nature very active or has already learned bad behaviors.

Animal shelters and the ASPCA report the number one reason people choose to get rid of their pet is they could not make the dog behave.

The bad behavior became too much of a distraction and exactly the opposite of what they intended getting the pet. That’s sad when you consider that people can learn to train their dogs to be very well-mannered.

The optimum solution would be for you to find a dog obedience class in your area so that you and your dog can learn. There you learn how to work with your dog and your dog learns to behave.

But this unfortunately is not easy for most people. Often there are not any good courses in the area. Many times people simply cannot commit to the average 12 weeks of training classes. And truthfully often people are at wits end and just do not have the patience to wait that long to get their pet under control.

The Philosophy Behind Secrets to Dog Training

Daniel Stevens approaches dog training differently than most of the systems available. In Secrets to Dog Training, he focuses on natural dog behavior and the use of positive reinforcement techniques to train your pet.

The other systems employ obedience through punishment with often barbaric tools like shock collars. These methods actually teach your dog to fear you rather than be a companion. Understand that it is very common for a dog that is afraid to either become aggressive or hide from people.

Stevens studied the natural order in the canine world and discovered there is always an alpha dog. His program shows you how to be the alpha dog in your pet’s world. You are taught how dogs live and the natural way to interact with them. This makes a much better relationship between you and your dog.

Dogs naturally look for approval and will do whatever it takes for their owners, translated alpha dog, to be happy with them. Secrets to Dog Trainingwill teach you how to communicate effectively with your dog using positive commands and positive reinforcement of good behaviors. Your dog will actually have fun learning and the entire process will bring you and your dog closer together.

Visit their site and watch the introductory video right now so you’ll get to have educated decision! Don’t wait. Act today…

That is something that is always considered as a known fact. Dogs are very obedient and reliable companions that is why they are kept mostly as pets and guard animals the world over.

However, keeping a dog is not as easy as it may seem because there is an instance known as dog’s separation anxiety, that each pet owner must be aware of. Read on and learn some tips and tricks on how to deal with this problem at its inception.

Dog’s separation anxiety has been studied by experts and they suggest that several factors contribute to this phenomena among them are:

1. When the dog is introduced to a new place or environment, anxiety will kick in if the dog is not taught how to adapt or at least feel at home in the new location.

2. When the dog lacks confidence as when he originally came from an animal shelter.

3. When the dog is used to being around people and suddenly left to his own senses. The over reliance of a dog to human companionship can be counterproductive if he is allowed to transition so fast without a means to adapt to the environment.

4. There is a suggestion that genetics also play a part in anxiety problems of dogs.

Whatever the cause of dog’s separation anxiety, it is suggested by many pet owners that another dog or puppy be allowed to work and live hand in hand with your pet dog. In that way, the second puppy can make him accompanied and avoid the instance that the dog will feel abandoned.

The practice of pairing a dog with another to reduce separation anxiety is a good way to control it. Remember as well that dogs traditionally worked in a pack so being with another dog of whatever breed will at least summon his longing to belong to a pack and satisfy its craving for companionship. A second dog at home will help eliminate the boorish behavior of an otherwise behaved creature when the master is around. It will make the dog more active and composed even when the handler is away.

Dogs make for good companion because they are very reliable and obedient to their masters. Stories of dog and human relationships are far too many to mention but the consistency of the positive traits and lessons from this is naturally inspiring.

On another level, dogs usually find an instance where the will meet another dog either from your neighbor or from somewhere else. When this happens, depending on the protective instincts of your pet dog, your pet might feel threathened by the situation and become a tiny bit unfriendly. When this is the case, you need to socialize your dog to train him to deal with this matter once and for all.

But the question that lingers is how to socialize your dog with other dogs? If you haven’t been trained in handling dogs as pets or protection, reading through this article will greatly help you assess the situation when it happens and apply certain techniques or tips to prevent any untoward incident. The last thing you will ever want is receiving a notice for causing injury to somebody else through your beloved pet.

Like babies, everything starts with training. A dog has a window of opportunity to be socialized through training within 3 to 12 weeks of age. It is during this time that the puppy is very amenable to socializing with people and other animals. Dog trainers always uger puppy lovers to enroll their pups to some socializing sessions to improve the way they react to the environmental stimuli presented to them.

A puppy that is aggresice and woud tend to attack another is one that has not received any trainging at all. The puppy does not need to have experienced a traumatic incident in order for it to be aggressive. It is enough that the dog beomes scared and as a way of coping, turns into aggressive mode. It is also important to note that socializing dogs with other dogs do not stop after they reach a certain age. You still have to train your dog from time to time to remain calm and composed even if exposed to other animals proximate to it.

But the most basic among these is that most people think that dog training means you have to attribute dog behavior with how humans would react.

Take for example a dog owner who thinks that a dog behaves as if he is totally aware of his actions as a human would.

Dogs are very trainable if you put on the amount of work and dedication to build his confidence to do a certain task.

A constant prodding to the right thing is the best way to establish rapport with your dog and make him understand what your commands are.

There are other misunderstandings when it comes to dog training tips like:

1. You cannot teach old dogs new tricks – this is largely untrue, a dog is quite able to follow tricks and commands even after its adult years. What you need is to be patient to teach the dog to be obedient and fast in responding.

2. A well trained dog will always respond in the same and exact way – eventhough a dog has received proper training, there are times that the dog will veer slightly from the way it is supposed to respond because of other factors. Because of this, you must be quick to correct your dog if the situation presents itself. This will prevent the occurrence of such behavior in the future.

3. Small dogs do not need training because they are small – this apparent neglect for small dogs is not founded on basic training principle. The size of a dog does not dictate its ability to follow and learn commands. Any size for that matter can and will be trained depending upon the trainer.

4. Rewarding your dogs will make them lazy - it is very surprising that some people think that rewarding your dogs will make them lazy. On the contrary, it is one of the most effective methods for memory training because the dog will associate a command and the appropriate response to a reward.

These are just some of the misunderstandings when it comes to dog training tips. Make sure that each of this is applied to your dog to make it a better pet and well behaved at all times.
