And speaking of trends, this innovative couple created some DIY props for the outdoors portion of the engagement photo shoot. Not only did they have a great time tapping into their creative juices while making these whimsical (and impressive) mustaches, but it was also an easy way to add a simple touch of personalization!

But Alexandra Hunt Photography also made sure to capture the couple’s romantic and intimate sides in this fresh summertime garden. The happy engagement photo shoot simply would not be complete without lots of hugs and kisses.

Marissa Bowers art * design * photo captured Natalee and Andrew’s engagement photos shortly after they purchased their very first home together. They incorporated some poses in their new home before moving outdoors for their barn-inspired military-themed shoot. Throughout the session, they not only held each other close, but also held the American flag near and dear to their hearts. Natalee and Andrew look so happy and so in love.

Mallory Bair of Maui Creative Design and Photography boasted that couple Katie and Levi were “contagious with flirtation and sparkling in the cold winter sun with warmth for each other” during their photo shoot. They had only been together for about a year, but they already knew they were in love and destined to be married. Levi left shortly after this shoot for a year long deployment and Katie started planning their wedding.

Just before Levi left, Katie posted these words of encouragement in her Facebook status: ”Distance is not for the fearful, it is for the bold. It’s for those who are willing to spend a lot of time alone in exchange for a little time with the one they love. It’s for those knowing a good thing when they see it, even if they don’t see it nearly enough.”

Hopefully, Katie’s words give hope to other couples separated by the armed services or similar situations, especially on this Memorial Day Weekend.

Your Two Bright Lights account is all tuned up and ready for the summer! We have been itching to tell you all about the new changes and are so excited these updates are live! Here are all of the details….

Looking Dashing! The New Dashboard

When you first log  in to Two Bright Lights, you will see the action bar. Click on any of the icons and go straight to Create an Album, View Albums, Create a Submission, Review Submissions, Promote, Share, and Invite (the icon bar is a bit different for each user type). Hover over the icons and get details on each action item.

For Photographers and Vendors, below the action bar, you can see who are the featured editors and the new editors that recently joined Two Bright Lights. Clicking on the editor’s icon takes you to their bio page, where you can find more details on what their publication is all about. In the What Editors are Looking For section, by clicking View More you can see, sort, and search through all of the submission requests.  This is the place for checking out what our editorial partners are craving!

And don’t forget to check out the What You’ve Done Brilliantly section where you can see a tracker of your success – from the number of times you have been published to how many professionals you are connected to!

Promoting your work is now easier

There is a new tab on your navigation bar called Promote. The Promote tab gives you easy share tools that help you spread the word about when and where you have been published. Sharing is a great way to boost your social media presence and establish your brand.

New Calendar for Editors

Editorial calendars are chock full of fabulous content and no easy task to manage.  To help keep track of everything, we created an awesome new calendar feature that automatically adds in all of your accepted features.  So, now it’s easier to keep track of your publication schedule with Two Bright Lights!

New Image View

In the Image Gallery, there is now a new format for viewing images. Just click on the layout icon in the upper right hand corner of the Image Gallery screen. This new format makes scanning and showcasing your images easier and prettier!

The floral arrangements designed by Flowers to the People are feminine, romantic, and simply stunning.  Check out the craspedia both in the larger arrangements and placed individually in glass bottles and vases.  We adore these bright yellow bulbs that add an element of whimsy to the decor!  Flowers to the People also display their talent in unique bridal bouquet made up of coral zinnia, hydrangea, craspedia, putumayo carnations, and other local blooms.

Ice cream cones, heart-shaped balloons, and a vintage cruiser bicycle provide the perfect details for photo-ops in these adorable captures.

Before the ceremony, Jess and George shared a romantic reveal on old train tracks.  What a charming and unique location for a first  look session!  Even though it was raining, the couple did not let the weather ruin the moment.  The bright red umbrella against the winter landscape pops in the photos and highlights the couple who could not look more in love!

Coming in from the rain, Jess and George exchanged vows in front of a roaring fire at the Inn at Montchanin Village.  A cocktail reception complete with a dessert buffet followed the intimate ceremony.  Jess continued the peacock theme with orchids and floating candle centerpieces and wine flutes adorned with peacock feathers.  Guests were also provided with peacock mardi-gras masks for fun photo-ops!
