Synopsis ~

The dark fantasy follows a high school sophomore named Akihito Kanbara. Although the boy appears human, he is half youmu and invulnerable to wounds because he can heal quickly. One day, Akihito meets freshman Mirai Kuriyama when it seems she is about to jump from the school rooftop. Mirai is isolated because of her ability to manipulate blood, which is unique even among members of the spirit world. Disturbing events begin to unfold after Akihito saves Mirai.

Dopes Says ~

Before I start this is my personal opinion of course, I don’t think anyone will agree to it but for me its what I enjoyed. The story is like a train ride, slow at first before it gradually runs its course and then stops. So from what I can write about this its my humble opinion of it, the story itself was adapted from a light novel and from I experienced not all light novels get great adaptations so for me this is a good as it got.

Dopes likes ~

What I enjoyed about this Anime was the interesting plot of this show. There is something about this that caught my eyes; the story itself was what got me interested. I liked that it was exploring many ideas with this, and how few characters were present due to all that went around. I liked the idea of demons and humans getting together. I liked that Akihito is the main character who had a very vulnerable yet powerful side to him.

For me the characters were not overly dramatized but good enough. I liked the connection between Akihito and his friends but they all lacked character development for me. Because it was short it didn’t cover everything we wanted to know, it was like a quick rush of explanation which could have developed slowly with more drama. But that’s my opinion. Although I do love Akihito and Mirai’s connection towards each other I thought it was what made the show to be honest.

Mirai for a main character was a ball of worries but she was still badass, I liked her quirky side and her stupid side. She hid a lot but didn’t reveal too much but for the show it was too quick at the end which was disappointing but what can you do.

The music has got to be my favourite; I enjoyed every part of it! I don’t mind what people say about it but for me it gripped me in a lot. I loved the opening and endings to it and it made it more bearable when they crossed over the episodes at the end.

The art works amazing, what can you expect from Kyoto animation, such fluidity and of course the scenary were breathtaking. The colours although dark was exceptional I don’t think I will get tired of it if I saw it again. I thought the action scenes were the best they were very vast and really entertaining.

Dopes dislikes ~

There were a lot of inconsistent issues with the storyline there was many unanswered questions and so forth. They weren’t developed enough and I didn’t expect that it would consider the episodes and all. There is more but you know every Anime has flaws! They could have gone more in depth with the beyond the boundary side of the part!

Dopes Concludes ~

So overall, I really enjoyed this Anime for me it was great entertainment. I won’t lie I did get heartfelt at some scenes with Mirai. I felt her loneliness and I felt her determination and her secrecy I also loved the scenes with her and Akihito. How they bonded and when they ended the episode itself, I found that beautiful. The saddest scene for me was seeing her go and Akihito not understanding, there is always a huge presence missing when you been with someone so long and they suddenly go. So I know a lot of people won’t agree, but for a visual novel turned Anime I practically liked it. Although a lot of people will say “How unpleasant” the show itself was. For me it was gold, I will be watching again. It didn’t leave me empty feeling like most good Animes do, although a lot of good shows get bashing but you know it’s not up to my expectations but it was worth watching I never regretted it!

Synopsis ~

Alma Tandoji lives a lonely life. One day, Ruri Alba, a girl accompanied by her butler and maids, visits him. Knowing the power of Sacred Seven is latent within Alma, she asks him to lend her his powers. However, he refuses and drives her away since he injured many with his unusual strength in the past.

Meanwhile, a fiendish Dark Stone creature suddenly appears in this peaceful town in the Kanto region. Only Alma's power of Sacred Seven can fight against it. But Alma just lets his power run amuck and things begin to get worse. Ruri raised her gemstone in order to release his true abilities, My Soul I give to you.

With Ruri's wishes engraved in it, will Alma be able to defeat the Dark Stone?

Dopes says ~

Alma Tandoji, a lonely boy who gets the power of the sacred seven one day and battles with a girl called Ruri and her butler. There is a whole lot going in the first episode that gets you thinking wow! Ruri tries to recruit Alma so they can get the power to defeat the dark stone creatures.

Dopes likes ~

I like the plotline, that is what interested me in the first place. But you realise how rushed the show itself is and you wonder why bother. But I honestly feel that it could have developed a bit more than just what they showed us. It was interesting till they rushed it which was sad because it had potential!

I wasn’t keen on the characters but I didn’t mind ti either. I was really happy to see Alma and Ruri and the butler all together they were cute. I was just surprised to see the weird gem stone insertion on Alma that made me laugh a bit. It looked so strange and out of place but overall I wouldn’t delve too much into the show for characters because it did lack.

The music itself was great, they took care of that. I was in fact infatuated with the songs in the series which was good enough for me as it made the show decent.

Next to the Art of course! The visuals were really good I really enjoyed them! I thought that was getting me into the show and it was, the characters didn’t match up to my expectation.

Dopes Dislikes ~

Characters were not well thought through they were pretty bland, the typical shounen and the only back-story of was of the butler and Ruri there wasn’t any of anyone else. It was strange and just didn’t do well. I didn’t think much of it but I wasn’t too sure why they couldn’t have made it longer and developed it. It just showed the manufactured characters which showed off the image rather go in depth with it.

There was too much going on at once that it had more than a few flaws I was quite disappointed in that.

Dopes concludes ~

Surprisingly sacred seven was still watchable, I wasn’t surprised but I wasn’t heavily impressed either. I thought it could have developed more and had more care into it. The visuals for me were a highlight, the enjoyment of the show could have boosted a bit more as some episodes were bland and it wasn’t right. I had high expectations for it but you know it all depends on you I think because of my high expectations I failed to see the whole point of the show and didn’t enjoy it as much as I hoped for. It is honestly a very easy to follow Anime with no twists and turns but a simple good vs evil. It could be compared to Scryed or even Tiger&Bunny but honestly it doesn’t live up to those two Animes at all. But I wouldn’t say don’t watch it because to be honest it’s still watchable if you like it a bit messed up. IT could have honestly done so much better but it didn’t!

Synopsis ~

The story revolves around Kinjirō Sakamachi, a 17-year-old high school boy who suffers from gynophobia. The gynophobia makes his nose bleed every time he has physical contact with a female. While using the men's washroom he accidentally discovers that the popular and handsome butler Subaru Konoe is in fact a girl. Now that Kinjirō knows about Subaru's secret, he must work together with Subaru and her sadistic mistress, Kanade Suzutsuki, to protect Subaru's secret from being discovered.

Dopes Says ~

What I thought would be a good Harem it kind of deflated for me. I was surprised to see such a weak Anime. I had high hopes that got thrashed by it. The story is about Sakamichi discovers one of his classmates is a girl rather than a guy and then the adventures follow.

Dopes likes ~

What I did enjoy was the animation which was for me really good, it was vibrant and colourful. I was very amused at some scenes but not a lot at all as well.

The characters Kinjiro who has gynophobia due to his sisters and mothers abuse, is awkward in a small sense. It’s about Kinjiro who likes Subaru (cross dresser) who doesn’t give him the time of day. It develops a romcom from there which tries to develop but seems lacking.

From what I see it’s a good show, but it didn’t have much to expand on for me. The characters were there but not interesting in some ways. There were a few but for it me it just didn’t get me excited.

Of course its different for other people.

I enjoyed the music I wouldn’t say it was my taste but it was still good that it retained the style throughout.

Dopes dislikes ~

I didn’t flow with the story I wasn’t really keen on the plot as much as I would have liked. I was thinking there will be a lot of hilarious shenanigans but there wasn’t many to be told for. It lacked a lot of innovation and character development for me.

Dopes Conclude ~

Overall I can’t say much about this Anime, but it’s not so bad as I portray it. It’s worth a watch it won’t go up to your watch list twice but it will be there as a seen this done that kind of feeling. I know that within the show Mayo Chikki followed the story of a cross dresser which seems to be growing I guess. Not bad, then you have the, ‘I can’t touch females’ guy which isn’t cool! But overall the jokes inside aren’t so bad either, it’s like small banter. So don’t mind what I said, it’s still worth a watch I was just disappointed in some parts but I wouldn’t cross it out. Like I explained before some visual novels are worth a watch some aren’t and this probably wasn’t the best but it was good enough.

Synopsis ~

Nai searches for someone important to him, with only an abandoned bracelet as a clue. Gareki steals and pick-pockets to get by from day to day. The two meet in a strange mansion where they are set-up, and soon become wanted criminals by military security operatives. When Nai and Gareki find themselves desperate in a hopeless predicament, they encounter none other than the country's most powerful defense organization—"Circus"!!

Dope says ~

Karneval, some people literally will think of a circus, well you’re not far off from it. Except this series handles a lot of majestic and fantasy themes. It is a very mysterious show that has about 10 volumes on going still which I need to catch up on of course but let’s dissect it for now.

Dopes likes ~

What I enjoyed about Karneval is the name let’s be honest Its written different, it’s also focusing heavily on two characters one being Nai and other Gareki. Nai is of course the main who happens to be in the show an animal and not human although he has a human body. Yeah, even I found that a bit hilarious, it explained a lot about his behavior.

The story isn’t straight forward in fact, it should have continued but it didn’t. It has a lot of plots where it’s less involved with Nai and more to do with other people. However character wise I would say that I really enjoyed all of them in general.

The characters all have a different unique personality, which are divided in first ship to second ship. Of course are characters which are main is in the second ship. They were initially great and had seemed cool but wasn’t in depth.

The art work, I really am very fond of it. I loved the colours the sparkles the very flashy moments. I really enjoyed Tsukomo’s act at the beginning with the entire acrobatic feel. What I found cute was they always do a show for disturbing the city to make it up them. So in reality they are kind of a circus when you think about it but have hidden agenda behind it. The visuals of the show are probably the only thing that saved the Anime for me.

The sound is very average, I really found the background music subtle, it really wasn’t out there and it didn’t really make me feel much. But I really enjoyed the ending of the song!

Dopes dislikes ~

Again I wasn’t a fan of the 13 episode style, I thought from a really good Manga like that it could have really expanded but it failed. The characters are not original when you watch it later on, at first I did think they were unique but not so much when you realise each of them actually do have a certain stereotype to it.

Dopes Concludes ~

From what I can say I was heavily expecting that Karneval would be decent and it was with its visual and fight scenes. But what it lacked was the plot they couldn’t portray it very well and could have which is quite sad. Because in the Manga we do really go into depth in the Manga of what Karneval is about and of course NAI! There is so much that goes on that it momentarily confuses us! But it is thoroughly enjoyable, so I would recommend watching a quick tongue in cheek show and not expecting too much like I did at first. It’s a truly hit and miss show that you know depends on how you prefer it. I guess for now I will rely on the Manga to really find out more about the show! The really part of the Anime was all the BISHOUNEN! I heart most of them they looked so good!

After death, humans are either sent to the void or reincarnated. But for some, at the instant of their death, they arrive at Quindecim, a bar attended by the mysterious white-haired Decim. He challenges them to the Death Game, wherein they wager their lives and reveal their true natures. Decim himself is the ultimate arbitrator of who wins and who loses, who will go to the void, and who will be reincarnated.

Dope says ~

“Welcome to Quindecim I am Decim your bartender”

The show is a follow up to the movie Death Billiards, very controversial. It delves into deeper when they produced 12 more episodes for it. It’s a promising grey area Anime which people will like or hate depending on their preference. I am glad to say that I have very much enjoyed every part of Decim and his adventures that follow through each episode

Dopes likes ~

So what I have gathered through Death Parade was the morality of the show, it follows heavily on that. It’s a show that doesn’t really have a specific arc but expands further through themes.

The artwork and animation, yes it’s the most beautifullest thing I have encountered. A theme of blacks, red and purples only shadows and a few bright colours to throw us off. There are outstanding details on the features of every character; they really focused on the aspects of that. The art itself is fluid and smooth even when they do the CGI it’s done so subtly that it blends in the show so well because there was few of it. I especially found it mesmerizing when they played the games, the details they put through to this Anime and the games they play blew my mind. So creative and amazing that we could simply sympathize with each character as they play in a darkened room with a few lights.

The characters although I am amazed by the details they set out for Decim and Onna, I do believe they forgot that minor characters should have been developed a bit more. But let’s get to the good point, there was a lot of that Decim is a motionless man who throughout doesn’t smile or so, having a human companion like Onna helped not only him find himself through the emotions but kind of deflect what a arbitrary is supposed to be. “They cannot feel emotions” but yet Decim did. I found it more humane when I saw characters of all kinds during the play off and how they find out their deaths incredible to the point of being quite realistic. What we will do to stay alive is what I kept thinking.

The soundtrack is quite thrilling, it plays so well during the games that it made the moody Anime even better. It engrosses you into their world and makes you feel even more of what they are going through. Mind you the opening does throw you off a bit for being upbeat but don’t let that fool you for what Death Parade actually is. What was even more amazing was the characters voices and mannerism, each characters always had a believable approach and Decim was the most intense of that, he displayed things that showed him off as a normal bartender but in reality was more than that to pass of judgement.

Dopes Dislikes~

Overall my only complaint was the supporting characters could have used a bit more development, if they didn’t reoccur often it would have been fine but because they did it made me feel annoyed that they couldn’t get more airtime. I wish it was longer too, it seemed like a show to progress further, and have a bit more interesting look at other characters and how they became arbitrary.

Dopes Concludes ~

I am so impressed with Madhouse they made Death Parade so fluid and so flawless that I cannot expresses how great this show felt to watch. It pulled me in straight away, they had the wackiest games plays that helped them with judgement we see alot of people questioning while watching this and finding out ones true colours. When I found out majority of their deaths and how they died I was amazed there was normal to dangerous themes going on. I am really in love with Decim he seemed like a clueless man but in reality he knew what he was doing it was so good to watch him. The ending was surprising to me and made me feel somewhat complete but I wish there was an alternative to it. So why watch Death Parade well besides getting different perspectives of the games and characters, you realise how morality works in this show revealing messages that could or cannot be conveyed. Its dramatic and very dark its basically everything I really enjoyed in, maybe its not everyone’s taste but it was really good it got the better emotional side of me and gave me a reality slap.

Honestly you won’t be disappointed with Death Parade, I was so happy when it came out now that I had time to watch it I was not disappointed so unique and fresh that it leaves a sad feeling behind for me. So make sure you give it a go!

Yoshioka Futaba has a few reasons why she wants to "reset" her image and life as a new high school student. Because she's cute, she was ostracized by her female friends in junior high, and because of a misunderstanding, she couldn't get her feeling across to the one boy she has ever liked, Tanaka-kun.

Now in high school, she is determined to be as unladylike as possible so that her friends won't be jealous of her. While living her life this way contentedly, she meets Tanaka-kun again, but he now goes under the name of Mabuchi Kou. He tells her that he felt the same way as she did when they were younger, but now things can never be the same again. Will Futaba be able to continue her love that never even started from three years ago?

Dopes Says ~

The story isn’t mind blowing which it doesn’t need to be to be good, it’s unique in a refreshing way. I am a huge fan mangaka Io Sakisaka I even wrote about Strobe edge in my previous posts a long while back. When I heard about Ao haru ride I was like I must read, and to be honest it didn’t fail me at all. I loved every inch of it although downright frustrating in some parts it was well worth the read.

Dopes likes ~

What I enjoyed most about the story was it wasn’t complicated, it was about past lovers meeting again in an unpredictable way and taking it from there. What I really enjoyed was all the characters their presence in the Manga itself was great, we found a compelling story from all of that, we also had the typical triangle for two characters and it was really interesting.

Tanaka, to be honest was a confused young boy with a deep regret in his life. He was lost but what was great about his character was the thought process of his. We knew he couldn’t get rid of Futaba but couldn’t keep her close either he was always confused. So the story progress in a slow way for him.

Futaba is very headstrong, she never gave up which I loved. Most shoujo characters did but she did cry a lot, but at least she tried to move on with Kikuchi which I found amusing because I really loved their encounter. She made things happen and made effort in alot of things to get together she made memorable moments and friends and finally got the person she wanted again through trials.

The side characters were also a very interesting thing to see where we get to enjoy another side triangle but with a little twist to it. So it wasn’t at all bad more refreshing in a way!

Music was great in the show! I really enjoyed it was well put for the show and I wasn’t disappointed at all.

Io Sakisaka's art is probably really cute, I enjoy all her artwork and manga because of the way it it. I never get tired of reading it ever!

Dopes Dislikes ~

Besides the odd short episodes which didn’t clearly show the rest of the Manga. I wasn’t disappointed with anything else, although I wish it could have added a few OVAS or so! There was a live action for this Manga and I really didn’t enjoy it, it wasn’t that good so if you want to be disappointed don’t watch it if you do go for it.

Dopes concludes ~

Overall, I would give this a thumb up for the Manga and the Anime! Although the anime didn’t show more it was well worth the watch. The atmosphere in the show deciphers a lot compared to the Manga but no fret! It is worth the read and the watch as it is! Its not the best melodrama but it hits a spot with the characters back-story and all it’s sweet. I really liked it, so if you haven’t checked it out make sure you do, or read it if you want to first.

Synopsis ~

Based on the popular manga of the same name by Mizuho Kusanagi, Akatsuki no Yona follows Princess Yona on a coming-of-age adventure as she faces the harsh realities of her kingdom. With only a mysterious legend to guide her, Yona must discover a way to restore Kouka to its former glory while being pursued relentlessly by the forces of the new King of Kouka.

Dopes Says ~

Before I get to the whole review, I would like to express how much I really love this series to the world and beyond! I am a huge fan of this and I am so glad it became an Anime although it was quite short. Yona is a princess who witnesses something that she shouldn’t have, the man she trusted became her enemy and now she is on the run with only a legend to help her and thus her adventures begin.

Dopes likes ~

I am really surprised by the animation of this series, I am quite happy to announce that the whole point of the Anime is the development of finding the four dragons. It’s very classy when it comes to the animation let’s not be surprised by the fluid battle movements as well. The whole anime is so vibrant with colours that it’s really blinding. Yona’s signature red hair looks like the flame when she’s around its beautiful.

The sound of this series is by far my favourite; I am in love with the background music of this show. It’s very melodic with violins and very soft and slow sounds when it came to happier or sad moments and when a battle began it was very deep and strong. I am in love with Jae ha’s instrument playing as well shame I couldn’t find a full version of it I would have love to hear it over and over. It’s all very classically inclined of course, you won’t be disappointed if you hear it.

Characters we have Yona, Yun and Hak, including the four dragons each to their own style and ways. The story heavily focuses on the mythological aspect of the show, let alone the guided heroine. Yona who was very much a fragile girl in a disillusioned state after her circumstances. Has grown as a character and her fellow companions have noticed that and was willing to understand the will of her journey. Hak who is her utmost valuable friend is probably the most intrigued as to how the princess has grown from being weak to strong. Her journey with all four dragons could be seen through the show! Her closeness towards the dragons and how they are towards her. Each dragon is very much different and unique yet they care about each other and willingly to go far to save each other. I was very impressed with the development although the Manga goes more in depth with it.

Dopes dislikes ~

Besides being very slow at the beginning of the show, which can put a lot of people off. It does drag on for a while in the beginning, and I mean really drag. But none the less it’s not that bad but I would have preferred if it got to the point in a nice way. What else I would comment on is the less development of the series because it’s so short it doesn’t make the show as great as it is with the Manga. So far what we experience is the introduction of everyone and then switches to the more continued story which should have developed in course of time but didn’t because of the episodes. Such a shame because the story progresses to something amazing later on! We also get character development and also back stories!

Dopes concludes ~

Besides all this, the Manga is still on going and is very much getting very interesting! WE are getting somewhere with it! It’s so far explained the whole point of the series, besides the Anime who only showed off the start of a journey with the four dragons, Akatsuki no Yona has everything you want, humour, action and a story. Although slow but it’s much better if you read the Manga to find out the more seriousness of the show and also romance, I know people complained where the romance was the shame was that it isn’t in the Anime but in the Manga more. You will not be disappointed if you do watch this, I very much enjoyed it they are all very well balanced. The characters are decent and very loveable I can’t choose who my favourite is but I would love to point out that Shin-Ha and his chipmunk is so freaking adorable!

I shall leave you with some music, I will also mention that the second opening is by far the best it gets me so pumped up!

Synopsis ~

Fifteen-year-old country girl Suzume Yosano has to move to Tokyo to live with her uncle due to her father's transfer. She bumps into a mysterious man who ends up taking her to her uncle's place after she gets lost. Turns out, Suzume will be seeing him a lot more often once she starts school because... he's her homeroom teacher?!

Dope Says ~

So its not the most original story you can every produce for a shoujo, I was hesitant when I read it at first back then it was only 3 chapters but I finally found time to complete I did not regret it. I thoroughly enjoyed it. Love isn’t a simple thing in fact a lot of people cannot describe it in real terms but their own way what they experience. So we follow Suzume Yosano on her journey of her first love to her second!

Dopes likes ~

What I enjoyed about the story was although slow progress and unnecessary angst of a triangle. It was a really interesting journey for Suzume who not only found her true love but through hardships and heart breaks we found a very great way to see how she expressed them.

I even thought the spare characters had a very beneficial effect on Suzume’s presence and the way they came towards her slowly. We got to see how she develops those friendships and relationships towards these

characters and how they played the huge role in the story.

It’s not so serious but it’s got a handful of comedy to it as well which is what made the story bearable.

Dope dislikes ~

Well I didn’t hate anything, love was painful to see for a 15 year old like her, not only did she end up loving a grown ass man who kept running away. There wasn’t much of a dislikes in the story for me I really liked the baddies or the ones interfering I thought it made the story worthwhile. Although I did get annoyed with the teachers presence a lot and what he said so hmm..

Dopes concludes ~

The overall art is amazing; I found it sweet and soft. I thought the way it was portrayed had a huge effect on the story. Although Suzume looked kind of strange at times I had to admit I was a huge fan of the guy’s drawings they art for them made it worthwhile. I liked the storyline it wasn’t so predictable an I found it really good how even though her first love didn’t work out her second was willing to process well. I was glad who she chose in the end, we all knew that secondary characters especially male ones in the stories never get the girl but this one did. So if you haven’t read it give it a try it’s short and simply sweet.

"You're my daytime shooting star."

Probably the sweetest thing I have read in a while!

First episode date: January 14, 2013
Final episode date: July 6, 2015
Adapted from: My Fat Mad Teenage Diary

Dope says ~

My mad Fat Diary has got to be the most beautiful-lest show I have ever watched! To me these 3 seasons have meant so much more watching this show than anything. I don’t know about anyone else but we get to see how an individual copes with situations and an illness they face. Although things could be debated with all this as it’s a very taboo topic amongst peers, but I’m not going into that I am just going to express my views on this show.

Dopes rates –

Where do I start, Rae Earl (Sharon Rooney) played by probably the most influential and dramatic actress ever. I cannot express what it means to me to see a person who can act so well that made it so believable. Rae Earl is the most typical girl anyone could imagine, expect she has an illness of course as the show goes on it progresses to the point of finding herself and going out the big bad world. For three seasons I have stuck by Rae Earl cheering her on, feeling her pain because let’s be honest we all felt like her really to that point. It’s a maddening experience for some but I was super happy to see Rae Earl moves away from all that she becomes someone who grew up and I feel like I did so with her!

The characters in the show, all individuals with the same problem and had a more different approach to how Rae did it, we all know that the connection between Rae and Chloe was the highlight of the show. For me it was the icing on the cake how desperate one can get to confide. Although her connection with her other friends deliver in a nice was as well, Rae didn’t realize it but she was of course the glue that stuck them together honestly. I feel like the music was also the other highlight too, it had hands down one of the best music too! And the artistic delivery with the shots with all scenes the dramatic approach to situations and the animation filled in from Rae’s diary it all fit in and is so memorable.

Dopes dislikes ~

Debatable about the show but I don’t want to say anything that can get me hate!
However I will add that I didn't like the short episodes! But it worked in their favour!

Dopes conclusion –

Overall one of the best shows ever to give on E4 with a few flaws, I don’t think I have ever been so happy about seeing thing. I remember waiting every night to give it and I was so happy for Monday to arrive. I am a huge fan of this show and the actors that play them too, for me it was like a revelation to something new. I faced a similar situation to Rae but of course I have gotten out of it and I know some people can’t but I feel like this is a good show stating that and it delivered and I couldn’t be happier. Every emotion was like a roller-coaster in the show because we realise that not everyone is perfect so hands down MY MAD FAT DIARY should so be awarded! So give it a watch people you will not be disappointed!

Well it’s sad to say goodbye to a great show but we must move on I hope something else comes out what will my Monday be like now! (T__T) ~

Synopsis~

Momiji is an average girl until the day she finds she is the descendant of the great Kushinada family. Only she, with her Kushinada blood, can stop the Aragami, demonic plant-like monsters threatening to destroy Japan. Along to help her is the TAC, and a possible love interest in a young man named Kusanagi.

Dope says~

Ok Blue seed is a bad ass Anime that people don’t seem to recognize; to me it’s similar to 3x3 eyes! It’s a very cool storyline that really explains everything so smoothly shame not a lot of people know of it or have but don’t mention it because it’s so worth mentioning and so underrated! The story of the Kushinada girls and the Aragamis, Momiji a 16year old girl is intended to be sacrificed to appease the creatures.

Blue seed 2 continues from season 1 but follows a girl called Valencia who has a magatama seed like Kusanagi and how the Aragamis are back and how TAC are solving problems it was short and sweet.

Dopes rates –

Ok so the story is great! It’s a very wonderful storyline which deals with the Aragami created by the yamato no orochi, you got the plot, you got the characters then you got the delivery! The animation to me was amazing I love the style its old but it’s definitely got wonderful lines towards it, I love the colours and scenery was on point!

The characters they were all good which blended in with another. I believe Momiji was the headstrong and whiny character who fell in love with Kusanagi who is a very indecisive man but he can’t help it as he was cursed he protected Kaede and failed so he wanted to make it up with Momiji. Then you got Kaede the sister who abandoned life, everyone thinking she died but in reality she didn’t. Then you got the guys in the TAC the boss, the nerd, the scientist, the secretary and then the gun lover! It all blended in they all complimented each other.

Then in blue seed 2 you got the same characters but Valencia, a girl with a magatama seed, who is the only female to have it. It was interesting seeing their reaction to that and of course Momiji was jealous as hell but they didn’t make it more interesting with it which was a shame. It ended with a sweet note though.

The music for me was a plus point! I am in love with Takada band and Megumi Hayashibara I grew up to their music! So for me it was great to see a awesome combo let’s not forget that 3x3 eyes also had similar music from them and are similar so its even better. I was surprised to see how well it suited the scenes, and the insert song for Momiji’s final part was sweet and quite sad too so I was happy for it. Blue seed 2 is the same again their music was on point it was well produced and worked well with the show! I still have their music on my ipod!

Dopes dislikes ~

What’s interesting is blue seed 2! Which was also a little spin off from the first season I was super happy to watch it again then realized how bad season 2 was because it didn’t live up to my expectation. It didn’t continue on for more episodes it was too short. I would have wanted a bit more but the first season was pretty good however they really didn’t follow the short Manga at all! Because Momiji wasn’t a whiny character or really ditzy she was actually a badass!

Dopes conclusion –

Overall this was a great show, I don’t really care what people say because it is one of the stories which stayed with me over the years because it was really good. I remember watching it first time thinking wow because I was never so interested in an Anime so much like that just like 3x3 eyes! So for me this was a great rewatch and I just wanted to express it! Make sure you read the small Manga which is good but the show itself kind of brings out the characters and story a bit more so make sure to give it a go! Still one of favourites I wish there was more!

Synopsis ~

Peach Girl is about an average high school girl, Momo Adachi, who everyone thinks is a beach bunny/slut because of her tanned skin. The actual reason she is so tanned is because she was on the swim team and tans very easily. She likes a boy, Toji, who she heard only likes non-tanned girls. This causes her to question who she is and have low self esteem. She spends a lot of time trying to remake herself into the girl she believes he wants; however, she has a friend, Sae, who likes to go behind Momo's back and make her life terrible, mostly by trying to take Toji away from her. All the while there's another boy, Kairi, who is in love with Momo.

Dope says ~

Peach girl is a high school drama involving 4 characters and the main one is called Momo Adachi, a girl in love with swimming and water but is scared to go back to it because she is tanned! This is interesting because there is a huge stigmatism to Japanese girls being dark! So you can tell how I was interested watching this, I remember reading the Manga before watching the Anime it was a long time ago as well! But I’m glad I did because it was real good!

Dopes rates –

What is interesting about this high school drama is the plot, it’s so twisted it shows of one girl who is in the midst of rumours because she is dark skinned. That she is stereotyped amongst her peers, it dealt with a real issue beyond that and that was great! The rumour spread was being done so by her friend Sae who Momo wasn’t that close to either and found her strangely agitating.

Characters are the four main meaning, Momo, Sae, Touji and Kairi! Now the relationship between all is complicated already but get even more badly when Sae interferes! Momo being the type she is is in love with Touji since a long time of course Sae finds out and makes hell for her. Sae is a conniving bitch of course, let’s be honest there are many in the world but she makes Momo’s life hellish! Touji the ever stupid guy, who didn’t know the difference between a rumour and the truth honestly. And Kairi who is the playboy in love with Momo who saved him. What I enjoyed is how different they were and how realistic it felt as well because lets be fair a lot of people went through stuff like this in high school! (Unless you are me who went to a girls school (¬_¬);)

The music was ok I wasn’t too keen on it but it suited the show well, the colours of the show was so bright and vibrant it kind of hurt to see. It was hard to distinguish their lips sometimes because the colours were crazy! The animation I’m being honest wasn’t too keen on it but it was unique and very distinctive! It made peach girl stand out a lot!

Dopes dislikes ~

What I didn’t like was the lips I found it a bit strange but you do get used it apparently but I couldn’t quite get into it. I was still freaked out a bit, but I wasn’t a big fan of the drama it was quite irritating and slow paced for me. I did wish it had more episodes because it could have explained more about the show rather than concluding it in short episodes.

Dopes conclusion -

Overall I liked Peach girl, a shame I couldn’t finish the Manga which would help my understanding of the characters a bit more. I wasn’t too keen on the drama and back and forth of going between boys it didn’t help that I wasn’t a fan of Touji but she kept going back! It was a long process but overall I can’t complain because it was unique because it felt realistic in some ways but some parts a bit iffy and the artwork still makes me feel weird but that’s just me, besides that I would say to go watch it!

Sypnosiss ~

Mikage and Tomomi Matsunaga are Mirace Girls, they have a telepathic link with each other and can teleport when they link their little fingers. Tomomi is a sports star and has a boyfriend called Noda. Mikage is the smartest student in the school and is in love with her sempai. He moved to London to study but they still kept in touch, that is until a selfish princess called Marie decides that he should come with her back to Diammas. Back in Japan the twins are having various problems of their own. But they soon realise that there is a link between Marie, an ancient legend and a girl they know called Emma.

Dope says –

Miracle girls are a really old Tv Anime and probably the most cutest! From what I could remember when I watched this it was about two twins with ESP and how they did everything with it. It was a very shoujo like Anime and one I would always remember! Mikage and Tomomi are twins who are complete opposites in personality and attitude but still the same! One with short hair the other long, they were really cute! What’s cool is that a focus point in the show is on a flower and how it connects to their ESP so if you watch out for the connection.

Dopes rates ~

What I loved about this show was the twins itself, they aren’t many main shoujo’s with twins in them! I really enjoyed the diversity with the characters and how they were alike yet different! Tomomi being the elder one was the tomboy and Mikage the intellectual one! Their style and everything was so different as well!

Let’s be honest not a lot of people will like the animation, I myself is a big fan of these old school styles, because they remind me of other shoujo’s like sailor moon for instance. This show animation is very basic but the colours are very light and soft, they suited the show very much and the storyline.

The storyline is great, we see their adventuress along the way when Mikages crush goes too overboard and how Tomomi and her boyfriend are getting along. They are trying to hide their powers but can’t seem to around people especially there science teacher who is after them constantly there are some funny moments, it is quite slow to develop but worth the watch. The characters in general are great and the support characters did well as well, and when the story switched to the princess it was a interesting view of the girls as they were twins too and how the legend came about.

The music is great, I am a fan I love the morning scenes of the twins when it shoots to their houses, they have this weird background song which always stays in my head all the time. I am impressed with the style of the music though which is a plus!

Dopes dislikes –

The first thing first which is the storyline, It honestly doesn’t follow the Manga too much there are some parts here and there. What they didn’t include was how Tomomi actually acquired a boyfriend and moved schools to be with him after a long time. That there was already another ESPer in the shows as well the Anime didn’t show off the more delicate side to Tomomi and the less whiny side of Mikage they are so different it was amazing. I don’t want to spoil too much but it’s quite sad they didn’t end the Anime in a better note too!

Dopes conclusion ~

Overall I really love this Anime, such gold! I believe anyone will like it if they want something different. Its style to the music to the art is great, I really enjoyed it so its a good watch, I don’t like the ending of the Anime but what can you do the Manga was perfect! It was a great read and I really loved Tomomi I wish they showed off more of her relationship rather than focusing on Mikage a lot, who I wasn’t keen on! But it was worth a watch if you want to let me know how it goes!

Synopsis ~

The story centres around Erika Shinohara, a vain 16-year-old girl who tells her friends about her romantic exploits, but she actually has no boyfriend. She claims that a handsome boy in a candid photo is her boyfriend, but it turns out that boy is a schoolmate named Kyouya Sata. She has no choice but to make him her fake boyfriend. Unfortunately, Sata may look like a sweet person, but he is actually an ultra-black-hearted sadist. Sata takes advantage of Erika's weakness and treats her like his dog.

Dope says ~

Ookami shoujo to kuro ouji is a fascinating Anime and Manga! I really find it compelling to read more and more as their relationship is so strange to me. I felt a great urge to consider it dysfunctional their relationship even if it is a high school drama and it was worth the watch and read. I love how it starts of with a lie and then becomes a great start to a relationship.

Dopes rates –

Wolf girl Erika is a liar and a big one too! Her character in the whole series shows how she comes out of that habit but still doess it! She lied about having a boyfriend taking a random picture of Sata the prince of course, who has a sadist personality in general. The plot is a mover for me, when I read the Manga I was surprised by the lack of couple style and more of a master and pet! It wasn’t a typical thing and I enjoyed that and this set it to be different amongst others.

Erika and Sata, their characters are so evolved by each chapter I feel happy to know they grow more attached to each other. Although they still lack communication it’s great to know the comedy side is still there. Other characters include the class and Erika’s best friend Sanda, who is a straight forward girl sticking by Erika with a lot and helping her a typical best friend, then you got Hibiya the hot blooded man, Kamiya the flashy guy who didn’t like Sata but gradually grows on him later. They are all very shoujo style so it suited it very well.

The animation and drawing style is amazing! I am such a fan they look quite realistic but what I loved was the colours in the Anime it was very bright! They almost looked shiny which was hilarious to me!

The music itself was ok as well; in fact I wasn’t too interested in the music as much as the detail of the art. I couldn’t get into it of course but I’m sure a lot of people like it. But it suited the Anime with the style of the opening and ending which I found nice.

The plot itself follows these friends around and how close they become eventually, especially Sata and Erika a guy who couldn’t express can now express with the help of a slow witted girl. It’s cute and amusing which is nice!

Dopes dislikes ~

I didn’t like the music, I wasn’t too keen on it of course I was shocked they were making an Anime out of this that I got too excited and the song kind of put a downer on it for me. I also didn’t like how short it was because the best parts are coming right now in the Manga so I hope there is a season 2 and continues!

Dopes conclusion –

Overall I was surprised about the Anime becoming one, but after my initial shock was gone I was happy they retained the art for the show! I liked the process of seeing it live rather than reading it, I think it had more potential if it continued because it could have been a really good one! Just like Suteki and Tonari no Kaibatsu! It’s a real shame that shoujo’s have less episodes compared to most really good ones to that could develop more! But I am happy with what I got I really enjoyed this I am still currently reading it as it’s not finished, I cannot wait for more chapters releasing as its getting good, although repetitive in some sense its great! So give it a go people tell me how it goes!

Synopsis ~

Fifteen-year-old Kyosuke Kasuga moves to a new city and becomes enamored by one Madoka Ayukawa, whom often treats him coldly even though she seemed friendly the first time they met, when he caught her red straw hat on the stairs. Kyosuke also must try to avoid breaking the heart of the slightly childish Hikaru Hiyama, who fell in love with him after she saw him make an impossible shot with a basketball and who likes to shower him with affection. Also, just to make things interesting, Kyosuke, his sisters, his grandfather, and his cousins all have various powers (teleportation, psychokinesis, hypnosis, time travel, personality transference) which Kyosuke desperately tries to keep a secret, though some of the other family members have no such qualms against using their powers in public.

Dope says ~

Kimagure Orange Road is a very old fashioned Anime with a beautiful twist! You got Kyosuke a teen with ESPer! He and his siblings have the supernatural ability to move things and are forbidden to use their powers in public. So what the show revolves around with is Kyosuke and his love triangle and adventures that follow!

Dopes rates –

Kimagure is a all time favorite of mine, I remember watching it and thinking I should rewatch I’m so glad I did I forgot how good it was. Kyosukes adventures that lie in front of him with his friends and sisters really helped build the show.

The characters I will begin to describe that Kyosuke is a sweetheart who is really indecisive but he is gentle and a goody goody! Mind you he couldn’t pick between two girls at all and it made it difficult when he had no clue what to do. What I loved was that he would take great lengths to get across his feelings but then fail at it, in fact he managed a few times to figure out who he liked before he changed his mind!

Madoka, the beauty of the show with secrecy about her she is very adult like as well. To be honest I remember watching the show only because of her I thought she was amazing! Her character was not a typical girly girl, but at times she would shy away it was sweet, she grasped on she liked Kyosuke but didn’t interfere because of Hikaru. Madoka is the typical bad girl you know the role reverse which was refreshing. Her part in the whole story and the interest towards her is kind of what made Orange Road.

Hikaru the other main girl is whiny and totally oblivious to things around her, she’s got the attitude that she can get anything. She follows Madoka around like a lap dog; in fact they are childhood friends who Madoka saves all the time. She is sweet but kind of child like! But once she becomes friends with Kyosuke her attitude changes which takes a more pleasant turn rather.

The animation is soft and very pastel like, it wasn’t bold but what do you expect from a very old Anime. I feel so happy that I could watch it, it was appealing to me at least, the music in the show was on point, maybe not to everyone’s taste but I thought it was quite enjoyable, I found the style perfect for a high school anime like this with a twist.

Dopes dislike ~

Honestly speaking, I didn’t like Hikaru she was irritating her voice was quite hard to listen to sometimes. I had to get a grip and watch on I forgot how irritating her voice was, and Kyosuke’s little stuttering kind of gets annoying at some point as well, the least he could do is stand up but he doesn’t at times which irritates you. I found that there weren’t enough episodes on the sisters which kind of became silly but then again it was about Kyosuke’s not his sisters

Dopes conclusion –

Overall it was a perfect summer Anime to watch, it’s a slow show but its one you will remember honestly. Of course minus Hikaru’s voice and all you shall be fine! But Madoka is memorable and her interaction with Kyosuke even sweeter! I really enjoyed the Anime unfortunately I never finished the Manga, but that has got to be the most frustrating thing though because I heard most of the Manga was just very indecisive, I need to finish it though. So far i am disappointed in the short episodes but I am glad it ended with a happy note! So give it a go and make sure to tell me how it went.

Synopsis ~

In the continent of spooner, sorcerers, who are the continent's aristocrats, have begun to abuse their powers. Under the guidance of Big Momma (their boss) Carrot (who turns into a giant monster every time he's placed under a magic spell), Gateau (a bodybuilder), Marron (a mage), Chocolate and Tira (who can transform into dominatrix's at will) must stop the evil sorcerers from picking on the weak; however, none of them (except maybe Marron) have a clue to what's going on.

Dope says ~

Sorcerer Hunters is a perverted Anime that is good enough for something old school. It’s an Anime that reminds me of how great the storyline to Animes were and how not complicated it was back then, so far this show explains it all really, the Manga however is clearly better and more informative to the storyline than the Anime was because they cut some scenes out!

Dopes rates –

Ok where do I start, the animation isn’t the best but it’s to me considered good as it showed off a very distinctive style to be fair it reminded me of Key metal Idol (if it’s called that from what I remember excuse me (T_T);) but it’s still pretty cool how the evolution of the animation was just simple, what really striked me was each characters crazy colour, Carrot wore a red singlet, Tira had really pink hair and Chocolat had really red/burgundy hair. Marron who had long black hair and of course Gateau who was blonde and blue eyed.

Characters wow, they were something. You had Carrot the ever lecher, Tira misu who was shy but a dominatrix along with her sister Chocolat. Marron who had a brother complex and Gateau who incidentally liked Marron thinking he was a girl. They were all amusing, let’s not even discuss the names they were all named after desserts or food it was interesting and they were sorcerers which was amusing, who would take them seriously! But they were clearly bad ass!

The Music in general was amazing to me I really like the old school style songs. They were upbeat and dark and just all around great they suited the Anime which was nice and the characters too.

Dopes dislikes ~

So far I didn’t like the short animation it could have followed the Manga a bit more. They cut some really crucial stuff like the storyline of finding Gateau and why and who Carrots mother was and Tira’s and Chocolat’s father and what he was and what he did. It all fits in nicely we see flashbacks in the Manga of Tira’s and Chocolat’s childhood and closeness to the boys in general. Its sad because it would have been amazing if they continued.

Dopes conclusion -

Overall, this Anime is really good. It sets a really good tone when watching! I am a bit surprised that some close circles of mine do not know this but I do hope it gets more reconisation! Of course Manga is much better but I cannot deny how good it is still, let’s not forget about the music too and the voice actresses or actors! It’s a really good show I wanted to express how it felt to rewatch it after so long! So remember to read the Manga for a more informative depth of the storyline and continue the Anime you won’t regret it!

Taito has been really sleepy lately, and keeps dreaming of a female vampire who says she has given him her "poison." Sometimes he even thinks he hears her voice when he's awake. But after surviving an accident that should have killed him, Taito's world changes drastically and he realizes that his dreams are more real than he thought.

Dopes Says ~

So what can I say about the show, its about a human and vampire who met long time ago and they fall in love, and this is where the disasters come in when she finally wakes up and so does he. With Itsuka tenma i had high hopes for it but I actually didn’t understand what the author was plotting honestly. He acquires magic from the vampire and all we see is his limbs flying everywhere quite amusing really.

Dopes Rates ~

Well for one, the art was standard and colourful the music mediocre they weren’t my cup of tea but might be others. I enjoyed the sense of ideas the story had but not alot to write home about because most of the time I was wondering what was going on.

Dopes dislikes ~

Well I can go on for ages with this but lets make it short, I didn’t think the characters were developed I wasn’t so keen on the idea of protecting his childhood friend but couldn’t. I was atleast confused in some plots and I found it a bit strange that he had to get access to power by the vampire only. There was no deep development the ideas were there but they weren’t produced so well I guess. There isn’t just any logic behind it I guess with this show.

Dopes conclusion ~

Will I consider the show to everyone, honestly no. I was sure to say I was excited for this but I was disappointed no fair. I really couldn’t get into the show and the characters didn’t help me get interested either so for me it was so and so. It was off putting and less action required for a romance in general there wasn’t a decent action either for me to write about. So if you want a past time you can watch this but I wouldn’t recommend it.

Hugh Anthony Disward inherits an old mansion and a personal library from his grandfather. In the basement of the mansion, he meets a mysterious girl, Dalian. She is a Dantalian and a gateway to "Dantalian's bookshelf," which stores the prohibited books of the demons.

Dopess says –

This is a strangely interesting storyline, I really liked it in a weird way. For me this was about Hugh who just inherited his grandfathers library without knowing what really went on behind those doors. When he finds Dantalian does he find it more interesting to know what she does and that he has the key to all this. At the beginning there is another girl where he remembers from memory so it all connects one way or another.

Dopes Rates ~

What I liked was the Manga more than the Anime it was mediocre at its best, only making it feel good enough to watch but it probably for some wouldn’t be worth the time. For me though I was engaged in the story and it was good in a sense of mystery to it.

Dantalian sweet, with a vast amount of knowledge is the total opposite of her clothing she is actually cute and very childish with the love of sweet things. When battle arises she gets her game on an shows off a great side to her in general.

Hugh, is quite good his development in the story isn’t that clear but it’s good enough to know what he is really about and what he does in general. He has the key and he knows when to use it, we also find out that he is trying to save the other girl from complete loneliness. And the way he takes care of Dantalian shows off his cute side lets also be honest they have their funny moments too.

The music is very latin like and gothic which suits the shows and I really enjoyed the bgm however its all mediocre for me as I wasn’t too keen on the music as I hoped to be. The artwork was charming and very good I really love the style, I really enjoyed the character designs of the characters and the simple yet realistic sense of the background too which got me happy.

Dopes dislikes ~

It was overall really short in 12 episodes; it didn’t conclude anything or give us any other insights. I was hoping for a 24 episode which would have been better but none. Lets also not forget there could have been more in the character development as well, but it didn’t harm anyone, I still liked the mains. There are also more important characters in the show which doesn’t get air time and leaves us with questions than answers. And the side characters aren’t shown much either which I was hoping for because they were quite hilarious too.

Dopes Conclusion –

Overall the show was good! I really did enjoy it I loved the animation the most as it was fluid the story was interesting, but it could have been done with more. It’s a shame because the Manga surpassed a bit more than the show, but either way it’s been directed and beautifully written so I can’t complain so if you want a bit of mystery and action with a interesting concept on books this is your show!

Sypnosis ~

One day, Takamiya Naho receives a letter written to herself from ten years in the future. As Naho reads on, the letter recites the exact events of the day, including the transfer of a new student into her class named Naruse Kakeru.

The Naho from ten years later repeatedly states that she has many regrets, and she wants to fix these by making sure the Naho from the past can make the right decisions—especially regarding Kakeru. What's more shocking is that she discovers that ten years later, Kakeru will no longer be with them. Future Naho asks her to watch over him closely

Dopes Says –

This Manga is probably the most heartbreaking story you will read with a twist of futuristic qualities, although things like this have been used over and over this story however delivers! The story takes place with Naho who reads a letter and finds herself questioning where it comes from when events start to happen around her does she relaise that the letters are all real. It has a spooky effect hearing one self from the future repeating the past to save someone. Its probably going to be a quality live action as well when they decide to make it hopefully the characters deliver.

Dopes rates ~

The story takes place with six friends who have an amicable personality for every single one of them which brings them a lot closer. What you have to do is read closer to get their distinct personalities from each. Whats beautiful is that they do seem stereotypical, but they have a great understanding as sub characters in the story. Yet they are drawn together because of the one letter they all received which helps them deliver the purpose of the Manga itself.

The relationship between the trio main characters are great, they execute the triangle to a point of budding friendship that doesn’t get spoiled. Kakeru however, as a main protagonist is a shade of mystery what Takano does is make him so mysterious you never know if he knew about the letters if he got on himself, if he realise that others are helping him survive without revealing it. Its a enigmatic storyline with a need of answers. What we do get is sections of the timeline switches and POV, which helps us understand his mindset a bit more and the other characters.

Dopes dislikes –

I found that Kakeru is quite selfish, but then again this topic is a sudden taboo for a lot of people for me. His need of reasoning was bitter. However, despite all that his relationship towards Suwa and Naho is quite oblivious at times, its like forcing someone to eat. But nevertheless that was the only problem I had.

Dopes conclusion ~

This Artwork for this Manga is so good that its a great fit for the Manga. I love the style to the point of the details they all point in each character. Even to the point of their future selves that they have a look of maturity as well which I found endearing. So far only 19 chapters have been released so I wont say too much but from what I gathered it is a wonderful Manga with a list of drama, romance a sense of sci-fi and a little bit of mystery as well. Altogether im quite proud of Takano she made a Manga which will be always remembered in my eyes. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do and when the live action comes out I hope it also portrays the characters in a similar light as the Manga for me nothing beats that! So check it out when you can.

UPDATE!!!

I have finally read the final chapter!! Honestly I cannot express how happy and sad I am it is over this manga had so many feels that I couldn't express. All day I couldn't get over how great the ending was, so open and so amazing. I hope there will be extra chapters or so but if not I believe it has ended with a bittersweet feeling of hope!

Honestly if no one has read it you must, its so different with so many emotional moments. I feel happy for the outcome of it all! Now I will go and wallow in my pettiness of finding another great manga like this.

Thank you Takano Ichigo you made such a beautiful story that I can't express it!! <3

p.s SUWA WILL ALWAYS BE MY BABY <3 I want to meet a guy like him!! T___T

Synopsis ~

The Kusaribe family is a family of sorcerers under the protection of the "Tree of Origins". Their princess, Hakaze Kusaribe, was the greatest sorceress of their family. But Samon Kusaribe, a member of their family seeking to resurrect the "Tree of World's End", a tree that opposes the "Tree of Origins" and controls the power of destruction, stuffs her into a barrel, and banishes her to a deserted island. From the deserted island, she sends a message out to sea, which is picked up by Mahiro Fuwa, a young boy who's sworn vengeance upon the criminal who killed his little sister, Aika. Mahiro agrees to help Hakaze under the condition that she find Aika's killer with her magic. But once Mahiro's best friend and Aika's lover, Yoshino Takigawa is rescued from danger, he too gets dragged into this tale of revenge.

Dope Says ~

The story of this Anime is quite promising, what i can say is that from a shakespare inspired story this show magically involved alot of twists which worked for them! I am impressed by the sudden change in frameworks and involvement with all the characters and the bewitching tales that followed, considering it had two stories mashed together one being Hamlet the other Tempest. So if no one actually reads those two, then it wouldn’t really make a difference, but it would be good to know for the show in a way.

Dopes Rate ~

Let me start with the characters, they are like in general of the story in order! The tree of Genesis to the tree of Exodus, it all flows through they all have a part to play, just like in a real life play if we ever saw one of Shakespeares. They are all dynamically in order that it makes the story flow a lot without having to question anyone presence as we know who is doing what and why including the twists. Hakaze the strong female bad ass who got banished, Aika the selfish yet appearing frail when in reality her idealism is a strong part in the show, Mahiro the ever so cunning and brash spoken male who doesn’t hide his own feelings for others benefits, is complete chaos compared to his best friend Yoshino, who is the most detached of them all, his compromise between reality and chaos freaks him out that when a certain part of him refuses to move one until things have settled.

The art by far is my favorite, its colorful with a blend of darkness to it. To follow the theme through it shows off in a light sense along with the music it accompanies. I thoroughly enjoyed both of the work itself mixing in with the sound I thought it suited it well, especially when Hakaze talked and figured things out in her own pace of time, she had a wonderful selection of bgm that suited her.

Dopes dislikes ~

There could be flaws in this show that I would have missed out, but, I do believe that it was quite mechanical in some parts where they often needed to realise they were not just toys in the game. They had a slight disconnection as if they were actors playing in a play rather than realizing they were facing actual danger in the show. Besides that, there was a lot of talking in the show, which I found tedious in some parts and I do believe I am the only one saying this but I got tired of Aika quoting hamlet quotes at some parts.

Dopes Conclusion ~

By far a more interesting concept and idea of an Anime, I really enjoyed it and I hope you guys do too, I have read the manga and do believe it has a similar progression to the Anime. The progression of the show itself was great in a 25 episode limit, it pulled off everything in a nice sense there was no great fan service and also if you like a really good paced show with a sense of great designed characters and plot this is a good show for you so check it out when you can and give it a try.

Synopsis -

The story takes place in Tokyo in 2018, where normal humans and those who can use magic coexist. As a result, there are laws against using magic, and a "magic courtroom" exists to preside over lawsuits regarding magic use. In these cases, "Benmashi" or wizard barristers defend those who use magic. The anime follows Cecil, the youngest Benmashi in history, and her associates as they defend clients in these cases.

Dopes says ~

Well the story is pretty straightforward or i like to think it was, it was about a girl called Cecil who is the youngest Benmashi defending those who have done wrong or have been accused. You pick and choose cases of course! Well regarding the show for me it was enlightening in a small sense. It was a different approach I guess but kind of melted down to mush after. There are many stories on wizards and magic this is just one of them that used law as a started which was new to a certain point. If people didn't recognize that Cecil is actually the same creator for anime such as "Kite, Mezzo forte DSA etc" for me they are shows that were great! So when I heard Cecil was out I was curious how it would be.

Dopes Rates ~

What I do rate is the attempt at making something new and unfamiliar such as magic and law, like I explained it was unusual and different which I enjoyed. The characters which are set with 2 main characters mainly the rests kind of have a small side story with them. Cecil is pure and lovely who kind of conflicts with the other characters in a way because they all seem too mature for her. She got that innocent act in tact, and doesn't change for anything. The conversation that takes place are all usually client based and nothing to funny or major between her and her cast. The visual for me was great! I love all the colours they used like soft pastels against the grainy colors with the metal robots. I loved that the sceneary was also colourful too, there was a few CGI that connected to the scenes as well so it was split alot. What i liked was also the court scenes where they were judged it was dark and dreary set the mood, and when they got death sentence or murder charges it was quite cool how they disappeared.

The next thing I enjoyed was the music, I was a big fan. I know some people wont like it but each to their own taste. I enjoyed hearing the background music towards the show and of course the opening and ending. The soundtrack was cheerful and very upbeat and when the scenes got heavy it went down a notch which was good! I also didn't mention that I love the voice acting alot! I enjoyed everyone's voice it was pleasant to hear them there wasn't one which I didn't like. I think I enjoyed the male voices more, but my fave ladies voice was hotaru who had a slight lisp if anyone noticed it made her look so cute!
What I truly enjoyed was the difference between explaining about WUDS and the society. We clearly gather why Cecil wanted to be a barrister in the first place to prevent prejudice of this all.

Dopes dislikes ~

Ok well lets just explain that it did go downhill in the second half of the anime where it made not a lot of sense and connection and you were lost half the time. I really didnt like that there wasn't much more depth with other people in the butterfly group. The animation although I really did enjoy it there was some moments where it shouldn't have had CGI but albeit they did anyway. There was numerous times for bad timing with ecchi moments and some lack of creativity with dialogues. You had a lot of unanswered questions which wasn't cool though! I didnt like the cult part of the show which was strange in so many ways and made no sense, people lost lives due to it!

Dopes Conclusion -

Overall the enjoyment of the series for me would be a good one! I really did like it in fact its one which I had to really pay attention too, although I lost track of half the things that happened. I liked how at the beginning they were introducing the magic and what and who uses them. And then at the end where it kind of abruptly just finished without a thought. I loved the storyline but it was unfinished and you could tell they could have done more, but the script people got lazy! There was a lot of action and magic which was a plus point for me, although not everyone will like that this story went haywire for me it was a average watch which passed my time. I love Nana Genie (the frog) I thought his tic with the bon was hilarious! I really liked him and the other familiars too although I wish they showed the back story of how they got them ass well. There isnt much to say without spoiling it, but overall it was worth the watch. I'm pretty sure people will harshly judge it but to me im being as fair as possible ive seen boring and slightly OTT animes, but this is nothing compared to it. So give it a try if you want.

p.s Character wise, I really love Hachiya what a babe, along with Shizumu they were drool worthy, but Quinn took the cake as a serious bad ass for someone who doesn't use magic I loved all her scenes! The shark tale boys could have done more but I still enjoyed their presence although they got caught a lot ahah!

Alternative Name: My love story!
Genre(s):, Comedy Drama Romance School Life Shoujo Slice of Life
Author(s): KAWAHARA Kazune
Status: ongoing

Synopsis ~
The story follows Takeo Gouda, a tall and muscular student who doesn't have much luck with women, as every girl he likes ends up falling for his handsome best friend, Makoto Sunakawa. This all changes when he meets Rinko Yamato, who above all other expectations falls in love with him, beginning a unique love story.

Dopes says~
This story is about two best friends in an unusual sense, ones a big meaty man whilst the other is a bishounen. Well as you can tell this is a real humdinger! Takeo is your average muscular student who wants a women, and his best friend Makoto is the handsome boy who wants no hassle! Unfortunately for Takeo he has no luck with women until of course a pervert on the train comes along and gropes a cutie and ends up saving the girl, who happens to fall head over heels for him! Unbeknownst to him thinking she was after his best friend when it wasn't true it was him she was after!

Dopes Rates ~
For me this is a real winner, the manga itself shows off the twist and turns of the characters you got the very unattractive Takeo who saves the day but doesn't get the time of day with ladies. Then hiss efforts are wasted and unseen by most as hiss best friend Makoto gets praised instead. The beauty of the story is that it is unique, you have a cute girl falling in love with Takeo instead of Makoto. The relationship through the chapters ive currently read shows off to be beautiful, we see why Makoto is totally happy being Takeos best friend and never once felt unhappy! The relationship toward Takeo and Rink is solid but will eventually grow I hope!

Dopes dislikes -
The only problem I had was the side characters, I wish there wasn't a girl whose love was unseen. Its sad seeing a girl get rejected too. But overall I hope the story continues and has a bit more depth unlike the things that Takeo repeats constantly like "Suna is popular etc" I would prefer it if he didn't have such low self esteem, I mean he is well liked by everyone too. Makoto himself needs to really say things straight up which he fails to do sometimes, I mean being blunt is easy its like he can't be bothered to waste his breath.

Dopes Conclusion ~
Ok well its not your typical shoujo, its more likely aimed at guys more than girls but I could be wrong. Because I am a girl and I thoroughly enjoyed it! I am a heavy reader of shoujo manga I love all types have complaints about all of them but Ore monogatari! For me is a plus as it's different, from a guys perspective this time, the manga showed of a lot of sides for guys like Takeo. Maybe a lot of people will bash it and hate on this manga, but for me I generally liked the humor and the touching side of the story. It for me is refreshing! So give it a go if you haven't worth the read also there is a anime out right now but it hasn't ended for me so I wont review until it does!

Synopsis -

Hidenori Goto: a cop who found out the true identity of "the superhero" by a strange twist of fate and thus constantly gets in trouble thanks to Hazama, the superhero.
This is the story of the birth of a true hero featuring these two young men with a touch of comedy and serious drama, while they come face to face with hardships as they search for the true meaning of becoming a hero of justice in this world!

Dopes Say ~

Well for starters, its a very strange anime which I can't complain about as anime in general are supposed to be strange. Despite its strange appearances and very through like story it's actually got a lot of twists and turns which gets me to start talking about it. Its about a eccentric guy whose a wannabe superhero and a part time model (amusingly) and then you got the ever so hot looking cop who doesn't take crap from anyone and has a very important role in the story. The story paces all over the place and is very erratic but it plays out well in the end.

Dopes rates -

First visuals are very good, I really enjoyed them I loved the art style which suited the show in general I don't think it would have suited the show if it was in a style of (K-on, claymore etc.) it had a specific style to it which I enjoyed. The sounds were good, it blended in well with the story and the opening and ending of the show was great, im a huge FLOW fan so it was well worth it to be in the show as eccentric as this. The characters were to be fair as solid as they can be, you got the main masayoshi who has heroism problems, then you got hidenori who can tolerate so much as a average joe. What I enjoyed about the characters were the interaction between Masa and Mari (the girl ranger) sense of justice and the way they dealt with everything two sides of everything. Also to point out Sugita Tomokazu's voice makes me go weak in the knees so when Goto spoke I was grinning alot!

Dopes dislikes ~

Ok well to be blunt, there was some bits in the animation that were a bit choppy but I wouldn't hold it out, there was some characters who I wished could have spread out a bit more and have more time. It had 22 episodes it did what it could, the pace was really quick so I had to stop at some point to figure out what I was watching. (Not that it could happen to a lot maybe its just me)

Dopes Conclusion -

Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed it, don't let the images fool you as a anime as strange as this it did lack in some area but it was still as good. It was a tongue in cheek comedy which is great if you like it, I liked the plot but it did change later on which was difficult to get back into as it was so fast paced I was a bit lost. But in general it was a good anime and worth the watch, I love the power ranger style to it, there was some emotional sides to the story and really conflicting sides too. I'm also a superhero fan so for me I really liked it but it could have improved more.

Synopsis

Staz is the vampire boss of a section of the demon world, but he has little interest in human blood. He's more infatuated with Japanese culture. When he learns that Yanagi Fuyumi, a Japanese teenage girl, accidentally wanders into the demon city, he jumps to the occasion. However, while Staz deals with an intruder on his turf, the oblivious Fuyumi is killed by a monster of the same type and becomes a wandering ghost. The disappointed Staz vows to Fuyumi that he will find a way to bring her back to life.

Dopes Says ~

The show was great! I was so glad it became an Anime I thought wow it finally came and now, Staz is a serious Otaku if you haven't gathered and when he see's Fuyumi a part of him goes wild. Not with thirst which is surprise but with amazement that a human girl is in his room and comes from Japan itself. So you can see what happens next when all hell breaks loose (no puns intended as they are based in hell haha!) and Fuyumi is chewed up to become a ghost. Staz vows to bring her back but for his pastime or in general?

Dopes Rates -

I would give the animation a boost I love it, I think its quite different it's nice to see a darker theme become hilarious with pleasant colours. Although there was more to be portrayed it was great for what they had. I think the characters were well addressed Staz especially, of course for a 10 episode Anime they did pretty well, it was like a introduction to Blood lad in general the first 10 episodes nothing in depth or so. The sound was great it was enjoyable and how it changed between characters. The comedy was good I wouldn't say laugh out loud way it was a mere giggle for me but it made me smile was worth it.

Dopes dislikes ~

Well it was 10 episodes so that was my first problem, although the manga is still running which I have read. I wanted a bit more! What's underwhelming was the action part of the show which just mainly showed the comedy side. But the actions were done nice but there wasn't enough so it wasn't a mind blowing Anime if anyone was looking for it.

Dopes Conclusion -

Well for starters Blood lad is a non typical vampire story, so if anyone wants to watch it for the original vamp style dont be mislead by the title of the show. The Anime wasn't mind blowing but it was worth the watch, the show presents Staz a mere otaku rather than a vampire that he is. So its different and very sweet, dont be fooled by the actions there isn't much, however dont let that stop you. Blood Lad is a classic example of taking a typical genre type and applying a twist on it. It didn't impress me too much but I really did enjoy it but wish there could have been more.

Synopsis -

Kodaka Hasegawa has transferred to St. Chronica's Academy, a Catholic High School. Due to his blonde/brown hair combo (a hair color he received from his late mother) and scary voice, everyone is afraid to talk to him, much less befriend him, He meets a girl called Yozora talking to herself and manages to create a neighbors club with many adventures to follow as they create lasting memories.

So I finally watched it, I know I am so late but I have been swamped let me just quickly tell you the good and the bad and how I found this show in general!

Well Haganai is totally awesome a group full of misfits, I fell in love with the characters and the plot itself. It is hard making friends but when watching this I found it so amusing to see why alot of people liked it. The characters are all humorous and very energetic, they are willing to do anything to make friends.

For a slice of life Anime both Haganai and Next, it was good to see how the story went and was portrayed. The points of mystery of of Kodaka's friend which is revealed leaves a good dent in the group itself. And how Kodaka in general is actually dense when it comes to the girls but later revealed that he may not be as stupid, he is actually caring towards the members and possibly doesnt want any conflicts between them at all.

Art style is great in the first season however second season its a bit weird but still good. I think it was toned down with coloring but who cares. The characters were amazing it was possibly what drew me to watch this show more it was so humorous and none were hate worthy but Maria was annoying to me at times, the sound was a simple song that was all about Haganai.

Haganai next, was similar but the ending left me a bit puzzled. I guess it came to a part where Kodaka was realizing what was going on in the group. And I don't want to give spoilers but it feels as though it will continue with a season 3 if so then there seems to be more depth in the story which we can find out if there was more.

Overall, both seasons were great one set of Anime where I actually enjoyed thoroughly and how it passed by when I watched it Kodaka was an amazing protagonist and people go about how Sena should end up with Kodaka but for me I think Kodoka shouldnt choose, they all seem to fit him (except Maria and sister) but i think the closest friendship I would love would be more Yozora and Kodaka but thats my opinion. I would totally recommend it and hopefully you guys realise why so give it a go and say how it was.
