i just have my NBI clearance last September 2011 and nakakuha naman ako kaagad without any clearnace from dost. actually,kagagrad ko lang last year.. then, i've tried to apply for my passport last may11,2012 and i've finished the three steps without any hindrance from me being a scholar. for releasing na sa june 1.(crossed fingers). and someone told me that we are not actually "hitted" in BI. wala silang record ng dost scholars na hindi pwedeng palabasin ng bansa. although sa NBi ay meron.magkakanote yung NBI clearance mo ng: "With DOST obligations". parang ganyan (wala kasi sa clearance ko eh.hehehe)

Can anyone help me regarding my item in public school as a scholar. I haven't avail my item for the reason that I have delay in my board exam because of my birth certificate. Now I have my board exam but I don't have item anymore. What will I do?

After my clearance I went to BI. Me hold departure order pa ako sa kanila. Balikan ko daw after 3 days. (February)

Went to NBI a month after, pinabalik ako after 2 weeks. Pumila pa ako sa QA but they told me na for releasing na daw yung clearance ko. (Hindi ako nagpakita ng letter). (March 13)

Went to e-passport site to get an appointment, followed the whole procedure without having to show my clearance letter. March 30.

This is actually in the handbook. You have to do research and submit abstracts of your published papers as part of your "service". :)

I don't know if freaky yung nangyari sa akin. I got my clearance from DOST last January. After than pumunta ako ng BI kasi whole day yung leave. Di ko pa nakukuha yung original letter ko sa BI.

Nag-apply ako ng clearance sa NBI two weeks ago. Me hit ako pero kahit siguro di ako DOST Scholar me Hit pa rin ako kasi me pito akong kapangalan Manila Area pa lang (Nalaman ko to nung maleak yung list ng voters dati ng COMELEC). I went there yesterday. Iniwan ko na kagad yung resibo sa QC tapos hinanda ko na yung clearance from DoST. Napagalitan pa ako. For releasing na daw yung Clearance ko. Last time, noong hindi pa ako cleared sa DOST, kinausap ako sa QC.

Same thing happened in DFA this morning. I told my BF to wait for me after step 1 (I heard after the doc validation papupuntahin ka sa director's office) but wala. I went straight to Step 2.

I don't know if they fixed it or if BI already did the clearing with DFA and NBI. Or if they share a common database now for the blacklisted travellers.

Hi!
I'm an incoming second year student who graduated from PSHS and was awarded a DOST Merit scholarship last 2011.
Some people (and also blogs) tell me that in my 1st and 2nd years, the DOST/BI clearance is unnecessary for travel abroad. I want to be sure that I won't be stopped at the airport so I'm getting one anyway and I was hoping someone could give me updated advice on how. (May mga nagbago daw na procedures?)
I've submitted a letter of intent and had my bond computed but I'm hesitant to take the next step (paying the bond) since I don't really know what to do from there.
I'm currently not in Manila (Yehey! Summer na!) and I'm not sure if that affects the process or if I have to go back there.I'm leaving for Italy on May 3rd.
