To celebrate, we’ve asked member of the International Furnishings and Design Association (IFDA) to participate in our Design Competition. But the deadline is almost here… sketches are due by 5 p.m. on Friday February 17th.

Again, here’s a recap of what you need to do to enter:

  • Participation is open only to current IFDA members
  • Entrants must choose a rug or room from the choices shown below. (Rugs are 6 ft. x 9 ft. completed vignettes must not exceed 8 ft. by  10 ft.)

  • Winners will be notified by Friday February 24, 2012 (Chosen by Mahmud Jafri, president of Dover Rug & Home, and Rachel Slade, editor of Boston Home Magazine.)
  • Vignettes will be installed at Dover Rug & Home on March 7, 2012.
  • The Celebration of Design showcasing the winning vignettes will be on Thursday March 8, 2012 from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. at Dover Rug & Home.

 What do the winners get?

  • A $500 gift certificate from Dover Rug & Home
  • Inclusion in a full page ad in the summer issue of Boston Home (our media sponsor for this event)
  • Inclusion in all post-publicity including party photos, press released, etc.
  • Vignettes will remain up at Dover Rug & Home for three weeks.
