Before we begin, make sure you backup your iOS devices in iTunes first. Just in case something goes crazy and your iOS device does not boot. This jailbreak works on iPhone 5, 4s, 4, 3GS,  all version of the iPad, the iPad mini, and all iPod touches.

Jailbreak iOS 6.1.2 Untethered

Thanks for the evad3rs team for working on the evasi0n exploit we are able to jailbreak iOS 6.1.2. The evasi0n jailbreak is available for Linux, Mac OS X, and Windows. Make sure you download the right evasi0n tool from this link.

Since we are using Mac OS X to jailbreak our iOS device we will use the Mac version. The steps are all the same so it really doesn’t matter what OS you are using. Just make sure to download the evasi0n tool and open it.

After opening the files launch the evasi0n tool.

If you are running a Mac you might get the warning below. Just click the Open button to continue.

When the evasi0n app opens you will see the screen below. Here you will see what iOS device is connected to the computer. Make sure you backup all of your data before you being. Just in case something happens. Click Jailbreak when you are ready.

The evasi0n tool will take some time to gather data.

Then the evasi0n tool will start the jailbreaking process. You might notice your iOS device doing stuff.

Little by little your device will be jailbroken. During on of the steps, Cydia will upload to your device.

Eventually you will come to a point when you need to change press an icon on your iOS device. The evasi0n tool will look like the picture below.

Here is what the icon looks like on your iOS device. Press the Jailbreak icon to finish up the jailbreak process.

Back on your computer the evasi0n tool will tell you the jailbreak process is complete. You can go ahead and close the application.

After a couple reboots your device will be ready to go. Now open up Cydia and take control over your iOS device.

Android 4.2 or Jelly Bean, has been out for a while. If you haven’t had a chance to try it out the latest version of Android you can install the OS in VirtualBox. This is a great way to try out Android without having to buy an Android device. Here is how to install Android 4.2 on VirtualBox.

Perquisites to Install Jelly Bean in VirtualBox

Before we install Android Jelly Bean in VirtualBox we first need to get some items.

1. Need to download and install VirtualBox.

2. Need a copy of Android 4.2 ISO.

The Android 4.2 ISO will take some time to download. After you get everything downloaded and installed we are now ready to begin. My install will be Android inside of Mac OS X using VirtualBox. The tutorial will work with Windows 7 and Ubuntu.

Install Android 4.2 on VirtualBox

After getting all the perquisites ready you are now ready to install Android in VirtualBox. Launch VirtualBox and click the New icon. This will create a new virtual machine.

After clicking New the Create Virtual Machine window will open. From here you will want to give your new virtual machine a name. Select the Type as Linux and the Version as Other Linux. When you are all done click Continue button.

Next you will be asked to select the amount of RAM for your virtual machine. Since Android doesn’t require to much, you can use 512 MB. When you are done selecting the virtual machines memory size click the Continue button.

The next step is to create a hard drive for your virtual machine. Select the radio button for “Create a virtual hard drive now” and click the Create button.

The “Create Virtual Hard Drive” options will open. Here we will select the type of hard drive and the size of the hard drive. From the first screen you can keep the default hard drive type of VDI. Click the Continue button when you are done.

The next step is selecting if you want a fixed or dynamic virtual hard drive. Since Android OS and the applications wont really take up to much space you could select dynamic. Unless you want a fixed disk because of limited space.Either way select the choice you believe is most suited for your situation and click the Continue button.

Last step, before we install Android OS, is to select a name and location for your virtual hard drive. And how much space you want for it. I am going to use 8 GB, but you can use however much you need. Click the Create button when you are done.

After setting up the virtual machine, select it and click the Settings button.

The settings for your virtual machine will open. From the setting menu select the Storage tab. Then select the disk in the left hand corner that says Empty. Over in the right pane in the Attributes group, click the tiny disk icon to get a drop down menu. From the drop down menu select “Choose a virtual CD/DVD disk file.

A Finder window will open. Navigate to the location you download the Android 4.2 ISO file. Select the Android ISO and click the Open button.

Make sure the Android ISO is now in the left pane under the Storage Tree. When you are ready click the OK button.

Now that we are all done setting up and virtual machine it is time to install Android Jelly Bean in your virtual machine. Click the Green Arrow icon to launch your Android virtual machine. When the virtual machine loads you might get a prompt about auto capturing the keyboard. You can click OK to dismiss the prompt or check the box next to “Do not show this message again” and then click OK.

After the Android ISO loads you will be taken to the menu below. Use the key pad to scroll down to “Installation – Install Android-X86 to harddisk. Press the Enter key to continue.

You might run across a warning about mouse pointer integration. Just click the OK button to dismiss the prompt. The mouse will not work until we disable mouse integration so for now you will need to use the arrow keys.

The next step to install Android Jelly Bean in VirtualBox is creating a partition for the install. On the Choose Partition screen select Create/Modify partitions. Then press Enter.

You will be taken to the partitioning tool. From here use the arrow keys to select New and press Enter.

Make sure you selected Primary and press Enter.

Since your virtual hard drive has very little space we will use all of it. Press the Enter key to continue.

You will create a new partition called SDA1. After it is crated you will be taken back to the main menu. Make sure you are on Bootable and press Enter. This will make SDA1 a bootable drive.

Making the main partition bootable will only take a few moments. When it is finished, use the arrow keys to select Write. Press Enter when it is selected.

You will be prompted if you want to write the partition table to the disk. Type in YES on the keyboard and press Enter to continue.

After the partition table process is written to SDA1 select Quit from the menu. Press Enter when you are done.

Now that we have the partition created we can install Android. You will be taken back to the Choose Partition menu. From here select the SDA1 partition and press Enter.

The next step is to choose the filesystem for SDA1. Select EXT3 with the arrow keys and press Enter.

You will see a prompt warning you about losing data on SDA1. Select Yes using the arrow keys and press Enter.

The formatting process will take a moment to complete.

Next you will be asked if you want to install the boot loader GRUB. Select Yes from the prompt and press Enter.

After GRUB is installed you will be asked if you want the SYSTEM directory as read-write. You can choose to do this if you are a developer but if you just want to use Android select NO. Make your decision and press Enter to continue.

Android will then install itself on your virtual hard drive.

When Android is finished you have a choice to either run Android or Reboot. Select Run Android and press Enter.

Android will now start its booting process.

After the boot you will be taken to the Welcome screen. Here you will want to run through and setup your profile. This includes entering in your GMAIL account if you want to.

After you are done setting up your Android profile go to Machine menu for VirtualBox. We will need to disable mouse integration so we can use the mouse inside of Android. Select Disable Mouse Integration from the menu.

After disabling the mouse, go back to your Android virtual machine. Click inside and begin using the mouse.

Now you are all setup with Android inside VirtualBox. This tutorial works on Windows 7, Mac OSX and Ubuntu.

We have shown you how to enable caps lock on the iPhone, iPad, or the iPod touch but if you don’t like caps there is a way to disable them. Here is how to disable caps lock on the iPhone, iPad or iPod touch.

Disable Caps Lock on iOS

To disable caps lock on your iOS device all you need to do is go to the Settings. When the Settings app opens up scroll down until you find General and press it.

The General settings will open up. From here you will want to find the Keyboard menu options and press it.

The Keyboard settings will open. From here you will want to locate Enable Caps Lock and press the toggle button to OFF. This will completely disable caps lock. So you can no longer double press the caps key to enable caps lock.

To turn caps lock back on all you need to do is go back to the Keyboard settings and press the toggle back to ON. Then to activate caps lock just press the caps key twice.

Typing in all caps can help you express a certain mood. Even though it is not good to send all your messages in all caps, sometimes you have too. On your iOS device it is very simple to enable caps thanks to the software updates since iOS 5.0. Here is how to quickly enable caps lock on the iPhone, iPad and iPod touch.

To enable caps lock on your iOS device just go to a text field. When you are ready to type double press the shift key until it is blue. When the shift key is blue this means caps are locked. The picture below shows you exactly how your shift key should look.

To disable caps lock just press the shift key once. The shift key will go back to gray meaning caps lock is disabled.

Like we said before enabling caps lock in iOS is a new feature to iOS 5. Before iOS 5 you had to go through the  Settings > General > Keyboard and then manually enable the ability to turn on caps lock this way. Now in iOS 5 it is reversed. You enable caps lock by the method mentioned above and disable it by going through the Settings menu.

Enjoy yelling in iOS.

A quick and easy way to check the current weather on your Mac is via the menu bar. Since the menu bar is always there, unless you hide it, it makes perfect since to add applications to get quick information. Here is how to add the weather in Mac menu bar for free with Meteorologist.

To get started you will need to download Meterorologist. You can get a copy from the link provided. When you go to the link, make sure you download the right version for your Mac.

After downloading Meteorologist you will want to run the installer. The installer for Meteorologist will ask you to copy the app to the Applications folder. You can drag the Meteorologist app directly to the Applications folder in the installer.

Meteorologist will be copied over to the Applications folder. Open the Applications folder and locate the Meteorologist app. If you are running a version of OS X that uses Gatekeeper you might see the Meteorologist app grayed out with a circle and a line through it. Just launch the app, you will be prompted if you want to open the app. Click Open to continue.

When Meteorologist opens you will be taken to the Cities tab. Here you can select and choose what Cities you want the weather for. Click the Add City or Edit City to add or modify your cities.

When you press either Add City or Edit City, you will be taken to the add new city screen. Here you will want to update the City Name and then either enter in the city zip in the box below weather servers. Hit Search to locate your city. When you find your city select it and press Confirm to continue.

After you are done selecting your city click the tab for Weather. Here you can change the way your weather is displayed in the menu bar. You can also add more information like humidity. After you are done selecting your choices click the Apply button at the bottom.

The next tab we are going to look at is the Updating tab. Click Updating in the menu to go to this tab. Here you can change the frequency of your weather updates.  Just change the text box near Update active locations every, to the desired minutes. If you have multiple cities, you can also cycle through them by checking the box next to cycle active locations every. You can also update the frequency they cycle by changing the minutes box. Near the button in the Display Location options, you can choose where to display the weather. Either the Menu bar, the dock, or both. When you are done updating the settings click the Apply button.

The last tab we are going to look at is the Alerts. Click Alerts in the menu to go to this tab. Here you can setup how you want to receive weather alerts. You can add an email address and a phone number to receive alerts. When you are done click the Apply button.

Now that we are done with the settings close the Meteorologist by clicking the red circle in the upper left hand corner. Now go to the menu bar. You will see your city and the current weather displayed. Click on the city to get the drop down. You can quickly check out the current conditions by going to the Current Conditions menu. Hover over it to display more information like dew point, humidity, and others.

While still on the Current Conditions menu, hover over Radar Image. You will get a nice map showing the Doppler Radar.

While still in the menu items, hover over Extended Forecast. Here you can see a 3 day forecast of the weather. When you hover over a date you will see more information like the high and low.

The last menu item under the Meteorologist menu bar is Controls. Hover over Controls to see the menu options. Here you can refresh the weather, switch between your cities, go to the Preferences menu, or Quite the app.

For a free weather app, Meteorologist does have a lot of information for you weather folk.

Your iPhone and iPod Touch comes with a bunch of stock apps. One of them is the Nike + iPod app. The Nike + iPod app lets you keep track of your fitness by different workouts. Either timed workouts, calorie burning workouts, distance workouts or just their basic workouts, you have a lot to choose from. To use the app, you will need a Nike+ Stand Alone Sensor Kit. Which you can pick up at your local sports store. If your not interested in using the Nike + iPod app, or it was enabled by accident you might want to remove the app. You can remove stock apps from iOS with a hack, but here is how to remove the Nike + iPod from iOS by disabling it.

Remove the Nike + iPod App

Removing the Nike + iPod app on your iOS device is very easy. First go to the Settings app and press it. When the Settings app opens, scroll down to the bottom. You will see a menu item for Nike + iPod. Press the menu item to go to the Nike + iPod settings.

Under the Nike + iPod settings press the on off button to the off position to turn off Nike + iPod.

This will remove the Nike + iPod app from your iOS device.

If you are worried about the size of your iOS because you are running out of space, this method will not free any up. Even though you disable the Nike + iPod app, it is still installed. You can always jailbreak your device to remove it.

When Mac OS X Lion came out you could only download it and upgrade your Mac to the new operating system. However, you could always create your own Mac OS X Lion DVD, but if you didn’t and wanted to reinstall Lion you might be out of luck. Hopefully you had an extra copy of Snow Leopard or another Mac you can use to download Lion again. Here is how to download Mac OS X Lion again from the Mac App Store.

To begin you will need to have the Mac App Store. If you have Snow Leopard on the machine you want to upgrade Lion, just update your Mac until you get the Mac App Store. If you need a copy of Snow Leopard and can order one from Amazon. Otherwise, if you have it already, just open up the App Store. From the menu select Purchases.

You will be taken to the Purchases page in the App Store. From here you will need to scroll down until you find OS X Lion. Over to the right click the Download button to start the download.

You will be asked to enter your Apple ID to continue. This is just to verify you are who you say your are and that you did in fact buy Lion before. Enter in your Apple ID credentials and click Sign In to continue.

The download of OS X Lion will begin. Just be patient while you download Lion. 

After the download is complete you will see the Mac OS X Lion install screen. 

Just run through the install and in no time you will be using Mac OS X Lion.

Prerequisites to Install Ubuntu on Mac

Before we begin we need to cover some of the prerequisites.

First you will need enough space to install Ubuntu. Ubuntu requires at least 5 GBs of space. You can always check out Ubuntu’s System Requirements. Next you will need the right version of Ubuntu. If you have a 2006 or newer Mac you will need the 64 Bit version of Ubuntu. If you are unsure you can always look at this Ubuntu support chart for help. You can get a copy of Ubuntu from their website. Next you will need a blank DVD with enough space to burn the Ubuntu ISO to . Lastly you will need a copy of  rEFIt boot manager. This will help in switching between Mac OSX and Ubuntu.

Don’t worry if this is confusing we will go over each of the prerequisites to make sure the install go smoothly.

Install Ubuntu on Mac by Dual Booting

To start this process you will need a copy of the latest Ubuntu ISO. You can download them from the Ubuntu website. Just make sure you have the right version, either 32 Bit or 64 Bit, for your Mac. If you are unsure, if you have a new Mac, 2006 and newer, that uses the UEFI firmware you will need to download the 64 Bit version. If not just download the 32 Bit version. After you start the download find a blank DVD. We will need this to burn the Ubuntu ISO on it.

The download of the ISO will take some time so be patient. After you have it downloaded go to the Menu bar and click Go and select Utilities.

The Utilities menu will open. From here you will want to find the Disk Utility icon. Click on it to open the Disk Utility application.

When the Disk Utility Application opens, locate your Super Drive in the left pan and click on it. At the top locate the Burn icon and click on it.

A Finder window will open asking you to select the image you want to burn. Find the location of the Ubuntu ISO you just downloaded and select it. Click Burn in the bottom right and corner to start the burning process.

You will be taken back to the Disk Utility with a prompt. From here you can leave the default settings and click Burn to proceed. If you have problems writing data to your DVD you can always chose a lower write speed. Just click the drop down near Speed and select the lowest. When you are ready click Burn to start writing the ISO to your DVD.

Burning the ISO to your DVD will take some time. You will see a nice little progress bar window. When it is done your disk will be ejected.

Now go back to your Disk Utility. This time we are going free up some space so Ubuntu can install itself. Select the hard drive you want to use to store Ubuntu and re-size your partitions by dragging the bottom corners until you have enough space for Ubuntu. Ubuntu minimum requirements needs at least 5 GBs of room. So make sure you have enough for Ubuntu to install. After you are done re-sizing your partition click Apply.

You will be prompted if you are sure about re-sizing your partition. Click Partition to continue.

After all the partitioning is finished go ahead and close all the disk utility windows. You will now need to download, if you haven’t down so already, a copy of  rEFIt boot manager. Find where you downloaded the copy of it and launch the installer.

Under the rEFIt DMG file locate the rEFit.mpkg file and double click it to start the install.

The Install rEFIt window will open. Click Continue to proceed with the install.

At the next screen click Continue to proceed.

You will be prompted to Agree to the terms of the software license agreement. Click Agree to continue.

Next you will need to click Install to start the install process.

After the install is complete you will see that it was successful. Click Close to exit the installer.

The next step is to restart your Mac. Make sure you have your Ubuntu DVD in your drive before you restart. After you have your Ubuntu DVD in your drive click Restart from the Apple Menu.

You might have to reboot your Mac a couple of times before you see the rEFIt menu below. So just keep rebooting until you do. When you finally see the menu below scroll over using the arrows keys until you highlight the diamonds with the DVD icon in the bottom right hand corner. Press enter to run the DVD.

Your Mac should boot to the Ubuntu start screen like below. If it doesn’t make sure your Ubuntu DVD is in your drive. If it is and or you get an error, try burning the ISO again to a DVD at a lower speed. Then reboot your Mac and select the DVD and press enter again.

After Ubuntu loads completely you will be asked if you want to Try Ubuntu or Install Ubuntu. Make sure you have your right language selected in the left pane. Click Install Ubuntu to start the install process.

Up next is the Preparing to Install Ubuntu menu. If you are connected to the internet you can check the boxes next to Download updates while install and Install this third-party software. But you do not have to if you do not want to. Click Continue in the bottom right hand corner to continue.

Next up is the Installation type. Here we will leave the default settings since we want to dual boot Ubuntu and Mac OSX. What Ubuntu will do now is find all the free space you created early and create its own partitions while keeping your other operating systems intact.  Click Install Now to continue.

After clicking Install Now, Ubuntu will begin the installation process. You will need to answer a copy of questions while it continues to install. The first one is for your timezone information. Select your location and click Continue to proceed.

Next up is your Keyboard layout. Select your keyboard layout and click Continue to proceed.

Last up is Who are you. Here you will need to chose a username and a password and if you want to log in automatically or require a password. You also have the option to encrypt your home folder if you want to. Click Continue to proceed.

After all the user information is all setup it is time to wait. Ubuntu will take some time so be patient. When the installation is complete you will be prompted to restart your Mac. Click the Restart Now button to continue.

During the reboot process Ubuntu will ask you to remove the DVD. Remove the DVD and press Enter to continue.

After your computer reboots you will be taken back to the rEFIt menu. Before we jump into Ubuntu or Mac OS X we will need to fix a problem that the Ubuntu Installer makes with your partition tables. Luckily for us we can use rEFIt to fix this problem. All you need to do is select the Partitioning Tool from the rEFIt menu and press enter.

Then rEFIt will run its Partitioning Tool and prompted you if itcan update the MBR as printed above. Type in y and press enter.

If everything is successful you will get a prompt saying the MBR update was successful. Press any key to continue.

Now if you do not get the option above for rEFIt to fix your partition table you will need to update them manually. You can use this section of the Ubuntu install guide and scroll down to “Fix Your Partition Tables” for how to fix them if you have an error.

After you are all done fixing your Partitions select Ubuntu from your rEFIt menu and start using it. Here is a some screen shot of Ubuntu running on a Mac.

If you spend a lot of time copying and pasting data from on Excel sheet to another you might want to think about automating the process. Automating task in Excel can be easily done by using a macro or with some VBA code. For this tutorial we will show you how to copy cell value in VBA in Excel 2010.

You will need a copy of Microsoft Office 2010 that has Excel in it. So make sure you do before you proceed.

Below I have an Excel workbook that has a few data entered into some cells in column A. You can use a spreadsheet that has data already or just mimic what I have below.

After you have your workbook all setup we need to go to the Developer tab on the Ribbon. If you do not have the Developer tab on the Ribbon here is how to setup the Developer tab. After you the Developer tab setup, go to it in the Ribbon. Over to the left will be an icon called Visual Basic. Click the icon to launch the Microsoft Visual Basic for Applications window.

You should see the Microsoft Visual Basic for Applications window open. From the Insert menu click on Module to insert a new Module into your workbook.

After inserting the new Module into your workbook you should see a new folder under the Project menu. Locate the folder and double click on the new Module.

The Module will open to the right with a blank page. This is where the fun starts. Since we want to copy the data in cell A1 and paste it in cell B1 we will need to type in the following code:

Range(“A1″).Select

Selection.Copy

Range(“B1″).Select

ActiveSheet.Paste

End Sub

 

After you enter the code your Module should look like this.

After entering all the code go to the green play button under the Debug menu and click it. This will run your new code.

After clicking the play button you should see the results on the active spreadsheet. As you can tell from the picture below, cell A1 was copied to cell B1.

Copy Cell Value with a Macro in Excel

Besides copying cell value with VBA code you can use a Macro to record you copying a cell and pasting cell values. To do this go to the Developer tab again and click on Record Marco.

The Record Macro window will open. Here you can give your Macro a name, shortcut key, specify what workbook you want to store it in and also a description for it. When you are done filling out the information click OK to continue.

Your Macro will automatically start recording all your actions in Excel. Go over to the cell you want to copy and right click on it. Select Copy form the right click menu.

Next head over to the cell you want to paste the copied data to. Right click on the cell and chose Paste from the right click menu.

After you are finished with the copying and pasting, click the blue stop button at the bottom of the Excel application.

Now that your Macro is all recorded lets go back to the Visual Basic application by clicking Visual Basic under the Developer tab. When Visual Basic opens you will notice a new Module under your Project window.

Double click the new module to open it. You will see the code for the Macro you just recorded. You can run the macro by pressing the green play button again.

That is it. You now have two ways to copy cell values in Excel using either a macro or VBA. Later we will show you how to assign VBA code or a Macro to a button so you can run your automation a lot faster.

A PDF file is used a lot more of document distribution and publishing. Since it is a lot easier to deal with than the default file formats in Office. Luckily for us, Office 2010 has conversion tools to convert your documents to PDFs.   Here is how to convert Office 2010 files to PDF using the built in tools in Microsoft Office 2010.

To start converting your Office 2010 files to PDF you will need to have Office 2010 installed. You can buy yourself a copy of Microsoft Office Home & Student 2010 from here. After you have it installed you are ready to begin.

So open up either Word 2010, PowerPoint 2010 or Excel 2010 and go to the backstage. You can get to the backstage by clicking the File button at the top. From the backstage menu click the Save & Send button in the left pane. You will be taken to the Save & Send menu. From here you will see a button at the bottom in the middle pane that says Create PDF/XPS document. Click on that button. Over on the far right pan you will see another button that says Create PDF/XPS. Click on that button too.

You will see the publish as dialog box open up. Here you will have the options of converting your document to a PDF. Select the apporipate path and file name and click Publish.

When you are all done you will now have a nice PDF file from your Office document. The steps above were shown in Microsoft Word 2010 but you can follow the same steps in Excel 2010 or PowerPoint 2010. Also don’t forget that you can also print webpages as PDF using Google Chrome. So If you have an Office document online you can use Chrome to save it as a PDF.

In the past we have shown you how to convert web page to PDF using a Chrome extension. But, with a recent update to Chrome we now have built in functions to print web pages as PDFs. Here is how to print web page to PDF in Google Chrome using the built in print to PDF.

To start we will need to make sure you have Google Chrome installed. If you don’t you can easily download the latest version straight from Google. Just click this link and download and install Chrome. When you are down open Chrome. Navigate to a website you would like to print as a PDF. Then go to the Menu options and click Print or press the keyboard shortcut Ctrl +P.

You will be taken to the Print screen. From here you will need to change your Destination. Click the Change button to change your Printer.

The Destinations window will open. From the Local Destinations options locate Save as PDF and click it.

You will be taken back to the Print screen. Notice your Destination has changed to Save as PDF. When you are ready press the Save button at the top.

You will be asked to save your new PDF somewhere on your machine. Select a destination and click Save to continue. Now when you open up the PDF you will see the webpage you saved.

Yesterday Apple released an update to iOS. This new update, called iOS 6.1.3 is a minor software update. It includes a patch for a bug that allowed someone to bypass the lock screen and access the Phone app. The new update also includes improvements to Maps in Japan and also patches the evasion jailbreak. Open Zip Files on the iPhone and the iPad with iZip

To begin you will need to make sure you have iZip installed on your iOS device. You can get a copy of it here for free on the Apple App Store. After you downloaded and installed iZip you will have a new icon on your iOS device. Now this is were the unzipping begins.

Open Zip files from Mobile Safari on iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch

To start open up Safari on your iOS device and browse to a zip file. You will get the Open in screen when you try to download the zip file like before. Instead you will see Open in iZip in the right hand corner. Press Open in iZip to launch your zip file in iZip.

When iZip launches you will be prompted if you want to unzip the file. Press OK to continue. After the unzip finishes you will see the files that were stored in the zip file. Press a file to see its information.

The iZip application can handle different file types but can’t handle them all. The above file is one that iZip cannot handle so you will get a error. So just make sure the files are readable before you try.

Open Zip files in Mail App on iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch

Besides downloading the occasional zip file from Safari I personally get more zip files through my email. If you are like me you will probably need iZip to open your zip files. To start find an email that has a zip attached to it. You will want to press the zip file to launch the menu. When the menu opens you will see the iZip icon with the words Open in iZip underneath. Press the iZip icon to unzip your zip file.

After pressing the iZip icon you will be taken to iZip. Just like before with mobile Safari, you will be prompted to extract your zip files. Press OK to continue.

Next you will see a list of all the files contained in your zip file. Simply press on of the files to view it.

You will see the information stored in the file after pressing it. Just remember to be careful about the file types.

Stop In-App Purchases on the iPhone and other iOS Device

To prevent in-app purchases on your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch all you have to do is disable in-app purchases. To do this go to the Settings app on your iOS device. When you are there scroll down until you find the General menu. Press the General menu to continue.

Inside the General menu you will want to scroll down. Until you find the Restrictions menu. Press the Restrictions menu to continue.

Inside the Restrictions menu you will see one button that says Enable Restrictions. Press this button to enable restrictions.

After enabling restrictions you will be prompted to set a passcode. You will want to make sure your passcode is something that you will remember. Also make sure it isn’t too easy to figure out. You will be prompted to verify your passcode after you have entered it the first time.

After you are done setting up your passcode you will be taken back to the restrictions menu. Scroll down until you see the option for in-app purchases. By default in-app purchases is turned on. To turn off in-app purchases simple press the on off toggle. Your screen should look like the picture below.

That is it to disable in-app purchases. To test it out, go to one of your favorite games or apps and try to initial an in-app purchases. You will notice nothing will happen. If you want to enable in-app purchases just go back to the Restrictions menu under Settings then General. You will be prompted for your passcode. Enter it your passcode and press the toggle to on for in-app purchases.
