Thanks for your script ‘The Other Christmas Story’ which went down well at the beginning of our carols service. Loads of audience participation, fun but with a serious message.

I also bought the ‘The Hotel Inspector’.

Thank you for your ministry in providing scripts to get the gospel across in a different and thought provoking way.

Hi,

I read through your blog entry and saw you answer to the question what salvation by Christ means to you:

It was salvation from the shadows, from the life I was leading, from life without God.

I can really understand how you end up with your conclusion based on what salvation by Christ means to you. So I would respond with a question: What was Jesus doing on the cross?

I understand your need for Christ and that your life without God was missing the point. And in general I have no problem with that. But that doesn’t really relate to Jesus and the cross; hence the question.

I am sure you are right that a curch could change its opinion with a change of leadership. If, however, churches decide on the issue nationally I think they may be much more cautious and vote again just to be on the safe side.

Seems a bit of a half measure to me – so no one will be really happy. A step in the right direction perhaps but only a very small one. I wouldn’t fancy being in a church council that has to vote on this one. Could well be that an individual church would change its opinion with a change of leadership. Just musing…much more to be said I’m sure.
