Mundhinam Parthene Instrumental

This is the latest instrumental i have done. It has taken me more than 3 months to finish doing this in my newly upgraded home recording " Noize Factory". And the good news is that i am out of hibernation and i am going to do a lot more soon!!

No , This is not done on a karaoke!!!. All the tracks have been recreated in my studio including the strumming guitar which comes from a software called BigfishAudio Rhythm Guitar and FX. This is the same software used by Harris to compose the song, And yeah this is the same strumming pattern George Micheal would have used in his song called "Faith". So the sample itself is called the Faithy Strum.

This is the first instrumental i have tried to do some active automation A.K.A Mixing, with an equipment called B-Control ( Behringer BCF2000) in my studio.

I have taken a lot of pains make it sound as close to the origional as possible.

I know it has been ages since i wrote something here. I was not able to write because of professional commitments. I became busy as i am a doctor and i had my family advising me to rather concentrate on medical practice. It is not that i am letting go of my passion. i still continue to play keyboard. Only that i dont get much time to compose something and put it here. Now that my practise is settling down i am trying to balance things. I have decided to compose atleast one instrumental per month and post it here. So keep looking ahead..........

Ajab Si ( Om Shanti Om a.k.a OSO) instrumental version

I havent been an ardent hindi music buff though i used to listen to RD.Burman , Kishore kumar , Md Rafi songs and few other hit songs which has managed to break the hindi-tamil barrier. Recently i have been captivated by an absolutely mesmerizing, petal-soft, romantic track 'Ajab Si' from OSO. Right from the first notes, the soft beats and caressing guitar strings strike chord after which one gets to hear a rather serene 'Aankhon Mein Teri' which turns out to be an extremely soulful hear. On hearing it initially, it has the sheer 'different' factor due to which it takes some time to follow the composition. But once you have heard it closely with lights switched off and no interference around you, 'Aankhon Mein Teri' turns out to be an irresistible piece of melody that lingers on for hours. The Biggest factor which adds depth and feel to the song is the voice of K.K. who showcases once again that he is one of the most versatile singer be it in kollywood or bollywood. With soft titillating rhythm arrangements ,KK’s mellifluously driven vocals matched intelligibly with squashy violin, piano and synthesizers notes this song truely has made me hum it again and again. So i have tried to do an instrumental version of this song on a karaoke platform which was available. i have not used heavy lead instruments as it will disrupt the melody of the song and have instead gone for light string arrangement layered on dreamy bells .Please hear this song and Cherish it with graceful poise on enchanting romantic evening and feel its squishy sentimental breeze… Soulful!.

TAMIL SONG REMIX - SUPERSTAR " VELLAI PURA ONDRU " INSTRUMENTAL REMIX

Recent trend seems to be doing remixes of old songs, especially old superstar songs. For long i had been wanting to do one of these remixes. It was eluding me. Finally i made it a point this time to do it. Everyone seems to do a remix of yesteryear "kuthu" song nowadays, so for a change i took a melody song of our own superstar rajinikanth and have given it a party feel. I was inspired to take up this song when i went to a concert by padmabhushan DR.K.J.Yesudas and Chinnakuyil Chithra recently. He had sung this song so effortlessly along with Chitra though the original version was with S.Janaki. Composed to tune by the legendary IR this song is based on the ragam kalyani (IR had given so many superhits in kalyani like janani janani, amma endrazhaikkadha (rajni -yesudas combo again), and recent katrilvarum geethame ) this song was a folky number. Another speciality about this song was the usage of WAH GUITAR as starting and in interlude with gives it a reggae feel (I think IR was the first to use it in indian cinema). I have not composed anything on my own here. I have just tried to reuse the same orchestration used by the composer, as practically i dont like fiddling with the melodies created by legendary composers. GEETHANJALI THEME (TELUGU) A.K.A IDHAYATHAI THIRUDATHEY THEME

For long i have been fascinated with IR's orchestrations. Ilaiyaraaja was one of the early Indian film composers to use Western classical music harmonies and string arrangements in Indian film music. This allowed him to craft a rich tapestry of sounds for films, and his themes and background score gained notice and appreciation amongst Indian film audiences. Ilaiyaraaja's songs typically used to have a musical forms where vocal and choruses are interspersed with orchestral arrangements ,Especially the lead notes are intervowen with supporting melody lines played by instruments. He had created many preludes /interludes /bgm /themes in this fashion.
i have tried to recreate one such theme here , the theme of GEETHANJALI a.k.a IDHAYATHAI THIRUDATHEY. Though this theme is not so famous as Mounaragam theme , this one gives you a lingering feel and makes you wonder how IR can create such themes. Hi !. This time i have tried my best to recreate maestro Ilayarajas master piece. Its the theme song from Maniratnam's Mouna Ragam. I have always loved this song ever since i heard it and always wanted to compose this . I searched the whole internet for this original piece of wonderful music but couldn find one . So i thought let me be the first to compose and and put it on net. It really facinates me to think how IR could compose such melodious music with complex chord transitions. I wonder how much dedication and effort a music director must put for composing and orchestrating each song when i take 2months for creating an instrumental of an already composed song. Forget the Doctors – Be Patient with the Pain!

Those who want to make money, inspired by the infrastructure, the country they are going to visit and last but not least unconfident about themselves in practice or joining hospitals go to UK, USA or any damn country.

OK Allopathic means inventions and lot of pains and discoveries by West – NO doubt.
That does not mean India lacks in possibilities of practice or earning money.

All it requires is PATIENCE and not PATIENTS.

Let me compare the statements of close Advocate friend who said:
First you do not get patients or fees.
Then you get Patients but No Fees.
Lastly You GET FEES and NO longer you want patients! (Clients) This is the truth.

Confidence in giving advice to patients and doing surgery becomes a routine after sometime. In between difficult patients (like clients in Advocate field) or death may appear.

But to me and most of Indians (even West, where legal suits are filed to gain money only) Doctors are GOD who give gives us second birth. And relief from from physical pain instantly. And their words are more healing than any person on Earth.

Some people say Doctors make money! Is it a sin to make money? When you are relieved from the pain don't you feel you are worthy of no money (meaning any amount is worth paying?)

All professions are for earning. Nothing is free on this Earth.

People give anything except Love. And sure Doctors give that more than any one and give relief of physical pain also. They have no personal lives except their Patient's care in their mind! And why not should they earn or be given money?

Forget about the novel by Final Diagnosis or any damn novel, which say Doctors are corrupt! Let them be! Do they not save my LIFE?

DOCTORS DONT KEEP UP TIME

YESTERDAY I WAS CALLED FOR A SMALL DINNER AT MY INLAW'S RELATIVES PLACE. I WAS TOLD TO COME AT 8 PM TO THEIR HOUSE ALONG WITH MY WIFE.BUT THANKS TO MY HOSPITAL DUTY AND TRAFFIC IN CHENNAI I REACHED THERE ONLY BY 9:30 PM.
THERE IS A BASIC SAYING THAT DOCTORS LACK ORIENTATION TO TIME. GONE ARE THE DAYS WHEN IT WAS EXCUSABLE FOR A DOCTOR WHEN HE OR SHE DOESNT COME IN TIME BECAUSE OF HIS/ HER PROFESSIONAL CONSTRAINTS. NOWADAYS IT REFLECTS BADLY ON A DOCTOR WHO DOESNT KEEP UP TIME FOR HIS ACADEMIC MEETING OR CONSULTATION WITH HIS PATIENTS. YESTERDAY MY FATHER WHO IS ALSO A DOCTOR COULDN COME IN TIME FOR HIS CONSULTATION AND I FOUND PEOPLE ASKING AND SCREAMING AT MY LAB TECHNITIAN FOR MY FATHERS WHEREABOUTS. I REMEMBER THE GOOD OLD DAYS WHEN MY FATHER USED TO TRAVEL ALL THE WAY FROM T NAGAR BY TRAIN TO PALLAVARAM AND HIS PATIENTS USED TO WAIT TOO PATIENTLY TO SEE HIM. NOW THERE IS A SEA OF CHANGE , IF ONE DOCTOR DOESNT TURN UP IN TIME PATIENT GOES TO THE OTHER DOCTOR WHO IS PRACTISING JUST ACROSS THE STREET.
BUT PEOPLE MUST CONSIDER DOCTORS ARE TOO HUMANS AND WHEN AN EMERGENCY PATIENT COME IN HIS CONSULTATION IN SOME OTHER HOSPITAL WHICH REQUIRES HIS IMMEDIATE ATTENTION HE/ SHE CANNOT JUST SHRUG IT OFF SAYING ILL BE LATE FOR MY CLINIC. I USED TO SCREAM AT MY FATHER WHEN I WAS A CHILD WHEN HE PROMISES TO TAKE ME OUT AND TURNS UP LATE CITING "TOO MANY PATIENTS IN OP" AS REASON. I ONLY REALISE NOW THAT DOCTORS CANNOT COME IN TIME JUST BECAUSE HE/SHE IS A DOCTOR.

BANGALORE - DISORIENTED

Disorientation refers to the mental symptom of feeling loss or unsure with repect to time place person. Bangaloreans are disoriented to atleast one of these three especially to place.Bangalore is really a nice place to live if u know the traffic rules and way to navigate the city.
It took me only three and half hours to reach hosur but from there drive down the straight road to bangalore city took me 3 hours thanks to the horrible traffic and people with horrible driving discretion.i could see people driving with funny helmets that looked like head bands over their heads and and people driving cross country on a straight road . thanks heavy traffic we reached to centre of bangalore after inching little by little. We were supposed to get to our hotel in a jiffy but alas!!! the traffic regulation in banglore is so stupid that every alternate street is one way so after a long search we found out finally where the hotel was. The hotel and its ambience was superb . Room was dimly lit and neatly decorated. I liked everything about the romm except for the health faucet in the toilet which richocheted back everytime i pressed the button on it .phew!!! wat a force water came from it truely like a bullet out of a gun. i wonder why people need so much force of water in the toilet. Next morning the nemesis started. My bro-in-law came and we all planned to go to iskon temple and it was now we found out how bad were the road sense of bangaloreans. Each time we asked for the way for the temple people used to tell turn left guesturing to turn right with the hand . ultimately we were confused whether to turn right or left or to turn which left or which right as there used to be a 30 deg left 45 deg left and a 60 deg left in each traffic circle. I think its high time these people learn to guide travellers correctly round the city.
And not to mention about the traffic lane sense of these ppl. people come in their cars in the opposite lane when the traffic signal for that particular lane is in green. phew!! i had a tough time negotiating my santro in this traffic. God !! please somebody teach them the traffic rules!!!!
And now the things i enjoyed in bangalore...........................
1. ROAD - The chennai banglore highway was the best ever road i had driven my car . my santro was cruising at 140 kms/hr without a jerk. what a road!!!!
2. GREEN- All the roads in banglore are filled with trees on sides and that give it a cool feel
3. McD and KFC, Frankies - i fell in love with the burgers served there what a taste . b'lore is the heaven of junk food . i just love it
4. Parking - it is so streamlined all these foreign parking ticket vending machines and all
5. UNO game- i got a pack of cards called uno that was advertised in tv and had fun playing it all night long with my cousin aasish , anand and my wife!! . she plays all these card games too well she is the queen of cards!!!!
6. X-BOX room MICROSOFT INC - I went to my techie- bro in laws office and he took me to a break out area which had coffee/ pepsi vending machines and plasma tv's and a X-Box room- it was cool to play NFS with all those surround sounds speakers with vibrating chairs and giant screen . it just gave a realistic feel as if i am driving the car inside the video game. wow!! what a break out area. if only my hospital had a break out area!!! mmmmmh.

Thinking about my hospital AAAH! Its time i must get back to my hospital. signing off. yours truely.............................

ITS TIME FOR HIP,HOP, HOOPLAH AGAIN AS OUR PREZ DR.A.P.J. ABDULKALAM IS NEARING HIS COMPLETION OF TERM AT HIS OFFICE ON JUNE 25TH. WITH THE PREZ HIMSELF NOT AVERSE FOR A 2ND TERM I THINK HE SHOULD BE ALLOWED TO CONTINUE AS HE HAS DONE A FAIRLY GOOD JOB AT HELM. THOUGH PRESIDENT IN INDIA DOES NOT HAVE MUCH SAY IN POLITICS AS IN U.S OR OTHER COUNTRY , HE HAS DONE WHAT HE DOES THE BEST .....MOTIVATING THE MASSES .HE HAS BEEN QUITE DYNAMIC WITHOUT OVERTLY CLASHING WITH THE RULING GOVERNMENTS,ACTIVE IN SELECTED AREAS ( INTERACTING WITH SCHOOL CHILDREN, YOUTH, INDUSTRIAL AND SCIENCE CIRCLES). PRESIDENT KALAM HAS INDEED BROUGHT SOME AMOUNT OF RESPECTABILITY TO THE POST OF PRESIDENT AND I STRONGLY FEEL NO OTHER PREVIOUS INDIAN PRESIDENT WAS SO ACTIVE AND GENUINE.PRESIDENT SHOULD BE A LEARNED,WISE AND EFFICIENT MAN AND ITS NOT SURPRISING THE PSEUDO SECULAR PARTIES LIKE THE LEFT FRONT , CPM,CONGRESS WHO HAS A LOT OF VESTED INTERESTS DO NOT WANT AN INDEPENDENT AND THINKING MAN LIKE MR.KALAM BACK IN OFFICE. GOOD AND THE BAD

MY FRIENDS USED TO SAY "ALL DAYS ARE NOT SUNDAYS " . THIS TIME I HAD A GOOD FEEL OF THE PROVERB. HAD A DOZEN OF COMPLIMENTARY TICKETS FROM MYPATIENT FOR THE JYOTHIKA AND PRIVIRAJ STARRER MOZHI FOR THE WEEKEND . WENT WITH MY MOM DAD AUNTY UNCLE AND MY BETTER HALF FOR THE MOVIE 6:45 PM I HAD NO PROBLEM WITH PARKING MY CAR IN SATHYAM CINEMAS CLUB MAHINDRA HOLIDAYS AS USUAL GAVE ME COMPLIMENTARY TICKETS TO PARK MY CAR AND I WAS OFF TO THE MOVIE IN A JIFFY. AND I WAS REALLY "WOWED" BY THE ACTING, SCRIPT, STORYLINE..............LIST GOES ENDLESS . WHAT A MOVIE!!!! .REALLY FELT THAT AFTER A LONG TIME I REALLY SAW A GOOD TAMIL MOVIE AFTER 2 YEARS (LAST ONE BEING KANDA NAL MUDHAL - DUET FILM PRODUCTION TOO). KUDOS TO PRAKASHRAJ AND THE DIRECTOR. I REALLY ENJOYED THE WHOLE DAY.

THE ESSENCE OF THE ETERNAL PROVERB WAS REALISED THE NEXT DAY . MY COUSIN AASISH GOT TICKETS FOR ME AND MY WIFE FOR SPIDERMAN 3 (MY MOM CROONED - WHY DO U HAVE TO GO TO THEATRE TO SEE AN ETTU KAAL POOCHI WHEN THERE R LOTS OF THEM AT OUR HOME ITSELF?). INSPITE OF WARNING FROM MY TECHIE BRO-IN -LAW , I WENT TO SEE THIS MOVIE , SINCE I USED TO LIKE SPIDERMAN , SUPER MAN , HE-MAN FROM MY CHILDHOOD. ( GONE OR THOSE DAYS WHEN DD USED TO TELECAST CARTOONS ON SUNDAY MORNINGS ESPECIALLY HE MAN ). I PICKED UP MY COUSIN FROM HIS PLACE AT T NAGAR & I WAS TERRIBLY HUNGRY COULDN PICK UP A SNACK BEFORE I RUSHED INTO THE MULTIPLEX. PARKING WAS HELL AS THE SECURITY USHERED ME TO SOME SATYAM CINEMA ANNEXE FOR CAR PARK AND WE HAD TO COME RUSHING BACK TO THE CINEMA HALL IN THEIR OTTA VANDI VAN WHICH DROPPED US. AND ATLAST WE WERE THERE IN THE COZY SATYAM FOR THE SHOW TO START. PHEW!!! WHAT A WASTE OF TIME I HAVE NEVER SEEN SUCH A HORRIBLE MOVIE IN MY LIFE . THE WHOLE FILM SPOKE VOLUMES ABOUT PETER PARKER AND MJ AND SPIDERMANS PAATTI. WHY DOES SPIDERMAN HAVE TO THINK ABOUT UNCLE BEN IN EACH MOVIE AND CRY? GOD ONLY KNOWS. AND SAME GOES WITH SPIDERMANS PAATI DOES SHE REALLY NEEDS TO BE ALIVE?. WHAT A WASTE OF TIME . I REPENTED FOR NOT LISTENING TO MY MOM. SO I PLANNED TO HELP MY MOM TO GET RID OF ALL THE SPIDERMEN AT HOME. SO FINALLY WE GAVE A NAME TO THE SEQUELE TO THE MOVIE PROJECT CALLED "ETTUKAAL POOCHI ERADICATION PROGRAMME

Damn my internet!!! . Its been off for weeks to gather now. My usual routine starts with browsing my mails with a cuppa coffee (filter kaapi i should say!! phew!! my mom brings half a litre of it daily and makes me drink till the last drop. not that i am tired of the taste , as she makes the best possible one, i get tired drinking the whole of it.). so i really found it very hard to stay away from my mails and orkut. so my morning coffee for the past few days started with me screaming at the top of my voice to sify corp customer care executive who give me the same reply "i'll ask the technitian to contact you & within 24 hours your problem will be rectified". the technitian finally arrived from mars (it takes a few light years ) and now the internet is ok.
