What is the going rate for a fitness instructor or a
personal trainer these days? $60 a session, $25 an hour...pricey to say the
least and for what?! In many cases, the old adage of "do what I say and
not as I do" seems to be part of the bargain. Many trainers on the market
don't practice some of the things that they so adamantly preach. Well, we at
Dream Body Workouts think hiring one of "those" trainers is kind of
like buying an expensive steak on the recommendation of a vegetarian!

won’t just plateau, leveling off and never really making your dream body a

exercises. These workouts will help build and tone muscles and burn fat due to
constant, calculated movements, quick short burst of energy and getting your
heart rate up and into the “fat burning zone.”

As a cheerleader Elyce and her squad took first at Regional's, when she joined the Tennis team her and her teammate took State in doubles.

Much of this can be resolved through an exercise regiment, good diet and proper supplementation. All that required is a good plan. Elyce has spent many years going through different workout plans...Yoga, Pilates, Zumba, Cross Fit, weight lifting, etc., trying to find the most efficient work out for her. She has come to the conclusion that no matter what she does, consistency and discipline are key ingredients, both in the Kitchen and in the Gym.

For the most part, I agree with what is suggested. However, let me add that pasta with enriched or white flour is NEVER good with any portion. :) Knowledge is power! Get your Dream Body today!

DREAM BODY YOUTUBE CHANNEL

Diet Myth #1: Diet Soda Helps You Lose Weight
Most diet sodas are lower in calories than regular soda because they don’t use regular sugar. The problem here is the artificial sweeteners, which have been tied to weight gain. Why?

Research shows that artificial sweeteners stimulate taste receptors that sense sweetness in both the esophagus and stomach. Anticipating energy, the pancreas releases insulin, an important hormone for accumulating body fat. At the same time, chemicals are sent to the brain’s satiety center, which becomes confused as to whether or not the body is actually receiving calories.

As your body gets “tricked” by the sugar substitute, you crave more food and become susceptible to overeating in order to feel satisfied. The result? You feel even hungrier and less full, which can lead to weight gain.

Artificial sweeteners are more than 100 times sweeter than natural table sugar – this is cause for concern since naturally sweet foods, like fruits, won’t seem as sweet to a desensitized palate.

Choose a healthier alternative, like a glass of seltzer with lemon or lime, the next time you reach for a refreshment.

Diet Myth #2: The More Calories You Cut, the More Weight You Lose
It may seem counterintuitive, but cutting too many calories from your diet can be bad for your waistline. Because 3500 calories equals about 1 pound of fat, you would need to cut 3500 calories out of your diet each week to lose 1 pound a week. In order to do this, you’d have to cut 500 calories a day to lose 1 pound a week.

The problem with severely restricting diets, however, is that they jolt your body into “starvation mode,” preventing your body from burning unwanted fat. This mechanism, which is thought to have evolved as a defense against starvation, helps the body make the most of the calories it gets from food and drink; the body, in order to keep functioning, then looks to get some of it calories from lean muscle. This results in muscle loss. Less muscle means a slower metabolic rate – and in this case, stalled weight loss.

Diet Myth #3: Pasta Makes You Fat
The problem with pasta is not the pasta itself – it’s more about portions. If you eat too much of anything, and don’t burn it off, your body will store it as fat. So whether it’s bread or pasta or rice, it’s about the volume and extra calories, not about the carbohydrates themselves. Add to that the heavy sauces and high-calorie cheeses, and no wonder pasta has such a bad rap.

They key here is practicing portion control. Pasta is okay in moderation. Dietitians recommend 2 or 3 ounces of uncooked noodles per person – or half of a one-pound box to serve a family of four.

Diet Myth #4: Eating After 8 p.m. Will Make You Put on Weight
There is some truth to this myth. Dr. Oz recommends not eating after 8 p.m. because studies have shown that you are more likely to overeat and misjudge how many calories you consume when you eat late. Fatigue may be to blame here as it may cause you to eat too much of the wrong foods, causing you to put on weight.

However, it’s not the time of day that makes you gain weight – it’s the extra calories! It does not matter when you consume the calories – if you exceed your recommended calorie intake, what you don’t burn will be stored as fat. Always be vigilant of how many calories you consume throughout the day. A healthy woman should consume between 1800-2000 calories a day.

Diet Myth #5: Reduced Fat Foods Are Healthier Alternatives
Fat is one of the things that makes food taste good. When fat is removed from foods, a lot of the flavor is removed as well. To make up for this, extras – like sugars, chemicals and thickeners – are often added to enhance the flavor and texture of these foods. These additives can be far worse for you and sometimes just as fattening as full-fat food. Additionally, “low-fat” and “fat-free” doesn’t mean low-calorie. Think about all the additives – they’ve got to turn up somewhere, right? When looking at nutrition labels, keep your eyes peeled for the sources of these calories and think twice about bringing reduced fat foods into your home. Opt for fresh or whole foods – or buy the full-fat food instead, but consume in moderation.

1
Water is the only liquid on Earth that reduces weight safely. It removes the by-products of fat and keeps you fresh and healthy. Drinking water can reduce your bad habit of eating a lot and reduce it to a very low in take. The only thing that keeps water a distinct drink is that it has zero calories.
2
Water can act like a medicine for all diseases. It is a blessing of God, a natural gift that reduces harmful particles from body and helps us maintain a healthy body. It also helps in avoiding headaches and back pains which are essentially caused by dehydration.
3
Do you want to look younger? Then drink lots of water daily! It is surely a replacement for your all-expensive aging medicines. It moisturizes your skin and keeps your skin fresh, as a tulip in water. Your skin would glow and shine.
4
Human body is a machine that constantly needs certain things to keep on working, including water, food and healthy environment. Water is the essential requirement of this machine to work properly and efficiently. As our brain and tissues are mostly made of water therefore it can improve our ability to think. You can feel more energetic and alert than ever.
5
Water can keep your body temperature moderate, thus while doing exercise or sitting in office it can balance your inner temperature. Water works like fuel to our body.
6
Water is helpful for digestion; it raises your metabolism level so to mediate your digestion. People who have digestion issues should drink water.
7
Our body needs water to live, thus dehydration could cause many severe issues such as cramps and sprains. However water can keep your joints and muscles fresh and strong.
8
Seasonal illness is quite common; water can help you to be strong enough to fight from such illnesses. On a broader prospect, it can save you from a heart attack and kidney stones. Water improves our immune system and drinking water with two drops of lemon juice is quite beneficial. It can also save you from various diseases such as rheumatism and arthritis.
9
Water flushes out waste products that are produced by our body. It removes toxins from our body. If our body lacks water then it is quite probable that our heart would work hard to pump fresh oxygenated blood to our organs thus causing many problems and it could exhaust you.
10
Your body is relaxed and feels at ease when it receives sufficient amount of water daily. It keeps you in a good mood. It is the best medication to avoid cancer. Research shows that drinking water can help avoid the risk of bladder and colon cancer. You might be thinking how that is possible. It is possible because water dilutes everything and it dilutes the concentration of cancer-causing agents in the urine and shortens the time in which they contact with bladder lining. To construe the result it is quite clear that to keep ourselves healthy, active, fresh and happy we ought to drink water daily and our intake should be sufficient.

Dream Body Workouts to help you get fit!

The workouts in this series have been carefully formulated into “tricking” the body to ensure better and faster results!

DREAM BODY 10 “BEST FRIEND” FOODS
Salmon
Salmon is a source of protein, the main macronutrient responsible for building muscle. In addition, salmon contains healthy fats, specifically the omega-‐‑3 kind. Research highlights that obese people consistently have lower omega-‐‑3 levels than healthy weight subjects. Scientists suggest that omega-‐‑3s can help prevent fat accumulation.
Eggs
Like salmon, eggs are a powerhouse in terms of protein and healthy fats. The white part of the egg contains pure protein, while the yolk contains the bulk of the nutrients such as B vitamins and vitamin D. In addition, yolks can aid muscle growth. Research cited on the Muscle and Fitness website shows that subjects eating three whole eggs a day doubled their muscle mass and strength compared to those who didn'ʹt eat whole eggs.
Quinoa
Quinoa is an unusual carbohydrate source. It'ʹs a grain that contains all the essential amino acids. As a complete protein, quinoa supplies slow-‐‑digesting carbs, which fuel hard training and provide steady
energy. Furthermore, it'ʹs full of fat-‐‑busting fiber.
Spinach
According to Muscle and Fitness website, spinach contains the photochemical 20 beta-‐‑ecdysterone, which research shows can boost protein synthesis. Moreover, spinach is rich in fiber and vitamins A and K.
Broccoli
Broccoli is packed with vitamins C and K, not to mention it'ʹs a good source of folate and fiber.
Shrimp
Packed with protein, shrimp is ideal food in your quest to build lean muscle. Shrimp has little fat and is an excellent source of vitamin D, a vital nutrient that has few sources. Furthermore, it contains iron and the antioxidant selenium.
Blueberries
This fruit has potent antioxidants, vitamin C to boost the immune system and vitamin K to build bones. Blueberries are effective in reversing cognitive decline by reducing aging neurons.
Greek Yogurt
Most Greek yogurt contains 20 g protein-‐‑-‐‑about double the amount of protein of other yogurts. Greek yogurt also contains probiotics-‐‑-‐‑good bacteria that aid digestion.
Lean Poultry
Lean Poultry such as chicken and turkey are “go to” sources of protein. Chicken and Turkey are your friends and you can eat them prepared anyway you like... except fried! Plus they are loaded with protein and vital minerals such as zinc, selenium and iron. They also provide a healthy dose of B vitamins to turn food into energy.
Beans
Beans are a cheap fiber source and provide a good dose of protein. They also contain folate, zinc, magnesium and iron.

Reach your Fitness Goals with us!

Thank you for joining the Dream Bod Squad at Dream Body Workouts!

DREAM BODY NUTRITION FACTS

In terms of building lean muscle and turning your body into a “fat burning machine”, your diet is crucial on how hard you hit your workouts. How hard you hit your workouts will be the key aspect in how successful you are in gaining your definition of a dream body. While working out, your diet should consist of 40% healthy carbohydrates, 40% protein and 20% good fats. Carbohydrates are what give you energy and protein is what helps build and “feed” muscles.
The Guidelines for Gaining Lean Muscle are as Follows:
•Eat nutrient dense, muscle transformation foods! Keep junk food and processed food at an absolute minimum! These contain “empty” calories that the body does not use optimally because of their low vitamin and mineral content. Fresh is best! A general rule when going to the grocery store is stay on the “outside” of the store. That is where the deli (protein rich meats), bakery (for healthy grains & wheats), and the produce (veggies and fruit) sections are located. Processed food with enriched flour and artificial ingredients line the inside aisles. Enter the middle and your middle will grow!
•Eat approximately every 2-‐‑3 hours to maintain insulin levels and aid in physical and neural recovery. When doing the Dream Body Workout Regiment, you’ll be introduced to routines formulated to help your body become a “fat burning furnace.” So, like any fire, you’ll need to feed it to keep it burning! Only foods that will sustain the fire should be introduced. Some of our fat burning/lean muscle food recommendations are including in this eBooklet. You want food that acts like coal for your furnace. Those are the foods that will help sustain energy, build lean muscle, and stop cravings. Junk and processed foods are like throwing some newspaper in the flames. They disintegrate quickly, have the “crash” effect on energy, and train the body to go into “storage” mode because your body panics and decides to conserve fat since it isn’t getting the proper nutrition it needs.
•Eat complex carbohydrates (starches). Starchy foods such as whole grain pasta, wheat bread, whole grain cereals, brown rice, potatoes, yams, sweet potatoes, and vegetables provide a major energy source to fuel your activities. These foods are also a source of fiber, vitamins, minerals and phytonutrients -‐‑ the health protective substances in plant foods.
•Always use 100% whole wheat when eating bread, crackers, pasta and tortillas. Make sure to read the label. 100% whole wheat doesn’t mean anything if the ingredients also has enriched flour. Never buy anything with enriched flour. All the nutrients are gone!
•Choose protein sources from turkey, chicken, eggs, fish, lean cuts of beef, tofu, & low-‐‑fat cottage cheese.
•Choose healthy fat sources from nuts, avocadoes and cold-‐‑water fish. Eat 40-‐‑100g of fat per day. If you do not get enough of these, take an essential fatty acid supplement or fish oil supplement (1-‐‑2 tablespoons/day).
•There is NO substitute for water! Water, water, water. Soda is a major contributor to the decay our society’s health and well being. The most important change to your diet is eliminate soda and drink lots of water. 1% milk is also great for many reasons, most importantly it is a great snack as well as a calcium and protein source.
Rice milk, Almond milk, and Soy milk are all great substitutes if you have an allergy to milk. Keep drinking water to maintain hydration while engaged in your Dream Body Workout routines. Avoid water-‐‑like substances such as Kool-‐‑Aid, sodas, artificial juices or lemonade. Although these may contain water and some carbohydrates, they also contain a greater amount of the wrong type of carbohydrate source (sucrose and/or fructose), which can ultimately lead to decreased performance, insufficient hydration, and unwanted “extras.” An effective guideline to follow is to consume about 40% of your body weight in ounces of water daily. Example: If you weigh 180 pounds/75-‐‑85 ounces of water per day.
•Eat a diet that consists of a wide variety of healthy foods by keeping in mind the basic food groups. It is the best insurance for getting needed nutrients.
•Consume 25 to 35 grams of fiber per day among the foods that you eat. High fiber foods include whole grains, vegetables, fruits, and nutritious cereals. Read labels and be aware of fiber content in everything you eat.
•Avoid high-‐‑fructose corn syrup and table sugar! These include candy, juices, desserts, baked goods, soda, etc.
•Use meal replacement shakes, fruit smoothies or bars whenever necessary. Always keep a protein bar available such as in a book bag, purse, glove compartment, locker, or wherever poor nutrition might be the alternative. If you are prepared, you’re far less likely to give into a moment of weakness.
•Really start to read labels, the fewer ingredients the better! Never buy anything with enriched flour. Lara bars are a great example of a great snack with the most basic ingredients you can find. If you have never heard of an ingredient listed on a label then you probably shouldn’t eat it.
•Protein is extremely important, muscle burns fat and protein builds muscle! You need 1 gram of protein per pound of body weight just to maintain your current lean muscle. You need 1.5 grams of protein per pound of body weight to gain muscle weight. So if you’re looking to maintain, remain consistent with 1 gram and if you’re looking to gain weight then 1.5 grams is the route to go.
DREAM BOD SQUAD
Kick-Start Meal Plan

For many people… Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner are the typical meals throughout the day. However breaking away from this typical “3 a day” meal approach and instead eating smaller, more frequent meals is the way to get your metabolism to run full speed ahead! By eating healthy throughout the day, your body never fears going without food. It never enters “starvation mode” and blood sugar levels remain consistent.
It is a very common misconception that if you skip a meal, you will lose weight. However, skipping meals will cause your body to go into starvation mode… holding onto fat, not losing it! For this reason, you need to get your metabolism boosted and running throughout the day to continually burn fat. Your body, if treated correctly, can literally turn into a fat burning machine. As unusual as this may sound…eating more often will actually result in eating fewer calories.
Question: How many people get into poor habits formed by hectic schedules and lack of preparedness? Who do you know who routinely skips breakfast, eats a fast-food type lunch packed with empty calories with little sustainable nutrition, and then gets home only to partake of disproportionately large dinner before they go to bed? Answer: Most everyone! It is a legitimate and growing problem in our society.
Thankfully, knowing is half the battle and Dream Body Workouts offers an effective solution with our workouts and our “kick-start” meal plan. Countless studies have indicated the methods to flipping the “fat burning” switch of your body.
The Dream Body Workouts meal plan is carefully designed to kick your metabolism into high gear. If you are willing to take the necessary steps, you can increase your metabolism and ensure your body remains hard at work burning calories…all day and night. Try this meal plan for 2 to 3 weeks to kick-start your metabolism and then you can begin to implement different variations. As long as you follow the “5-6 small meals a day” method and pick healthy choices, you’ll be well on your way! The meal plan is just a guide; you can always substitute one healthy option for another.

GET FIT, GET THAT DREAM BODY!

Home workouts are an effective approach and efficient solution for realizing your fitness goals. With the growing issue of obesity in the world, much of the fitness industry now serves as just another way of cashing in on the public's fears and ignorance.

Many so-called “experts” are promoting ineffective products or supplements, which only repudiate the idea of reaching one's goals. The truth is, at its core, working out is very simple and straightforward and it serves as a tremendous method for self-improvement.

Despite popular belief, a large investment of time and money is not required to develop an incredible physique. Within the comfort of your own home, you can be on your way to creating a leaner, more defined body in only a few hours a week.

It is important to first develop the proper fitness philosophy in your mind before you can realize your goals for your body. At Dream Body Workouts we believe physical fitness is really a simple concept, which has been overly complicated in our society.

At Dream Body Workouts we strive to follow an efficient exercise plan that focuses on muscle confusion and workouts designed to build lean muscle and burn fat simultaneously. You've probably witnessed the people at the gym or around your neighborhood that spend hours running outside, straining on a treadmill, bike, or elliptical. Maybe you’ve also noticed that much of the time, their efforts don’t seem to show any noticeable improvement? Doing nothing but cardio is the biggest misconception out there in improving how you look and shedding unwanted weight.

Now while true that you might lose some weight you really will only achieve a "thinner" look. Reason being, running does not build any lean muscle, and lean muscle is what you need for a healthy, strong, sexy looking body.

Our Dream Body fitness routines will progressively challenge your body so you can get the optimal results. Plus we keep your busy schedule in mind, too. In what it takes you to warm up and actually get to an effective state with traditional cardio programs, you'll already be done with a fat shedding, muscle building workout with our program!

There is a reason why circuit based, interval focused workouts are all the rage. Proper and effective systems and routines are based on another very key component. Your body is a "smart machine"and it will get use to the same old workout and your gains will stop. It is important to switch up your routines every month so that your muscles never get use to the movements in the workout. Here at Dream Body Workouts we have technically crafted, precision designed workouts that will get your cardio and muscle work simultaneously… all packed into 20 minute routines! So, fit “getting fit” into your schedule!

We have workouts that range body part specific to the total body regiment that is sure to achieve those elusive results you really want. The key is to go at your own pace and either do one workout daily or combine 2-3 based on your fitness level and goals.

1. Always use 100% whole wheat when using bread, crackers, pasta and tortillas. Make sure to read the label. 100% whole wheat doesn’t mean anything if the ingredients also has enriched flour. Never buy anything with enriched flour(all the nutrients are gone). Kashi is a great brand to use for crackers and granola bars. If you are committed, you can always find 100% whole wheat in pasta, bread, tortillas and crackers. Learning to read the ingredients is a vital part of good nutrition.

2. Water, water, water. Soda is the root of all evil in our society. The most important change to your diet is to eliminate soda and drink lots of water. 1% milk is also great for many reasons, most importantly it is a great snack as well as a calcium, protein source.

3. Always use 100% pure olive oil when cooking.

4. Protein is extremely important, muscle burns fat and protein builds muscle!

5. Try to avoid eating after 8pm. After eight puts on the wrong kind of weight!

6. Desserts are okay in moderation.

7. Eliminate all fried foods.

8. Try to limit your intake of processed foods.

9. Eat as much organic food as possible. That means fruits, vegetables, and whole grains should be a staple of your dietary intake.

10. Chicken is your friend and you can eat it prepared anyway you like... except fried!

11. Really start to read labels, the fewer ingredients the better. Never buy anything with enriched flour. Lara bars are a great example of a great snack with the most basic ingredients you can find. If you have never heard of an ingredient listed on a label then you probably shouldn’t eat it.
12. Try to avoid cream based soups, sauces and dressings.

13. Just remember to always allow yourself a "day off" where you can eat whatever you want and enjoy it.
