RS Bodywork for the Audi A5 Cabrio – by Senner Tuning INC

The German tuner Senner Tuning Inc., known for its extravagant modifications, has now placed the golden crown on the Audi A5 Cabriolet. The Audi tuner Senner Tuning Inc. is offering an extensive individualisation program for the current Audi A5/S5 Cabriolet. The Senner Tuning Inc. has fired up the new, blazing A5 2.0 T-FSI Cabriolet even more. The performance of the turbo petrol engines has been increased to 275 HP and 430 Nm with the use of sports air filters and software optimisation. In addition, thanks to the Power Convertor (responsible for the acceleration of the electronic gas signal) the gas intake has an even quicker reaction time.

The tuner from Ingelheim offers an audibly superior exhaust system for the A5, guaranteed to give you goosebumps. It is an in-house sports exhaust system with a stainless steel finishing with four end pipes, 88x74mm in diameter. With this, the Audi gives the driver a real sports car feeling.

The carbon hydride screw thread (Version 2, Inox Line) with adjustable settings ensures perfect road position.

For the wheels, only the best was good enough. On the right are Varianza TIS light metal rims and on the left, Scwhert (“Sword”) SC1 light metal rims in silver chrome with anodised lips 9×20 inches and 10.5×20 inches in size with 245/30 R20 und 295/25 R20er Vredestein tyres – they cause quite a sensation. You don’t need to trim the wheel arch edges for that!

In addition to the work on the open heart and wheels, the Ingelheim team has also cosmetically improved the bodywork of the A5. The new spoiler in the RS6 Design as well as the cooler grill are examples of this, which includes exterior mirrors in the RS5 Design and a rear valance with sporty diffusor fins.

Prestige in the interior is taken care of with surfaces made from leather and extensive carbon fibre applications. The carbon set at Senner Tuning Inc. includes a tacho blend, the S-Line sports steering wheel, an ash tray cover as well as a further extension of door applications, not exactly made with cheap material.
The whole thing is completed with the convertible roof module by Senner Tuning Inc., which can be open and closed via radio signals.

New JE DESIGN Touareg with 410 hp

The new Touareg grew four centimetres in length in comparison to its predecessor. But only JE DESIGN enhances the width of this large VW as well. The new JE DESIGN Widebody-Kit in combination with the aluminium wheels and lower suspension setting bestows the SUV from Wolfsburg with significantly higher road dominance and an increased overtake prestige. The increased performance honours the wide construction’s promise in an impressive manner.

The JE DESIGN Widebody-Kit provides a completely new style for the Touareg, with a new sports radiator grill, front spoiler, front and back wheel arch kit, rear apron insert, roof spoiler and rear hatch blend for 4998 Euro including VAT (non-committal price recommendation). All of the components are fitted precisely, manufactured from Polyurethane (PU) and will be delivered already primed. The new additional headlights also provide the large Volkswagen with an even more unique front view.

Not only the components’ perfect alignment, but also the ability to combine the components with all models of this series speaks for the engineering of the customizer from Leingarten, Germany. The widebody kit is developed to accommodate the Touareg standard version, but is also precisely fitted to accommodate designer packages „Chrome & Style“ as well as „Terrain-Style“. The pivot-trailer hitch can also be used as well as the different Volkswagen-muffler tips – regardless whether round or trapezium shaped – the JE DESIGN Widebody-Kit is designed to support it.

Alternatively, the JE DESIGN offers dual exhaust pipes for 595 Euro, which channels the exhaust fumes left and right through round bevelled stainless steel pipes in a diameter of 90 millimetres.

However, JE DESIGN is not limited to the visual transformation of the Touareg. Thanks to optimised engine management, the performance of the 4.2-liter TDI-engine has increased to 410 hp (302 kW) vs. the previous 340 hp (250 kW) and the maximum torque takes a leap from 800 to 930 Newton metres. Therefore the acceleration of this more than two ton vehicle from 0-100 kph only takes 5.4 instead of 5.8 seconds and the top speed now no longer ends at 242 but at 269 kph instead. The price of 2999 Euro already includes a one year warranty for the engine, the turbo charger, the transmission and the power train and can be extended to two years for an additional 199 Euro.

To ensure the newfound power is utilised to its full capacity on the road, the pneumatic electronic suspension lowering module will bring the vehicles 35 millimetres lower to the ground for a price of 1428 Euro.

As a result, the new aluminium wheels appear especially impressive. JE DESIGN equips the Wolfsburg-vehicle with the SUV-Select design, 10×12 inch aluminium wheels, back and front. For a total of 409 Euro the 30 millimetre wheel spacers on the front axel and 40 millimetres wheel spacers on the back axle additionally ensure that the wheel housing is optimally completed. For individual coordination, the wheels are available in four different finishes: shadow silver with a polished front surface, matte black with a matte silver front surface, graphite shiny silver with polished rim and matte graphite silver with polished rim. However, custom painted wheels are also available without problem so that each Touareg can become a customized vehicle. JE DESIGN offers the complete wheel package for 5190 Euro; single wheels are available for 690 Euro each.

The complete JE DESIGN upgrade, including assembly, paint and TÜV- registration is available for 19,750 Euro.

Of course, JE DESIGN will provide the respective TÜV-assessments for each component, so the specified assessments can be added to the vehicle registration without problem. Additionally, despite the performance increase, the Touareg is still in compliance with emission regulations and therefore eliminates problems during the emission control inspection.

 

WraptivoTM Will Create Honda CR-Z “Type F” Concept To Debut At 2010 SEMA Show.

Wraptivo™ will produce our very first in house SEMA car in the form of a 2011 Honda CR-Z sport hybrid concept build dubbed “Type-F”.The goal for the Wraptivo™ Honda CR-Z Type-F Concept is to evoke the notion of fun, which lies at the core of the CR-Z DNA while also giving a nod to the spirit and Honda heritage of the CR-Z. The Type-F concept will feature a sportier aesthetic over stock with the use of a combination of Honda Accessories Aero pieces and along with other aero components from Japan. The aero package will be complemented with a design package created to give this concept a special uniqueness yet with a familiarity that is still unmistakably Honda. The vehicle will be wrapped with Wraptivo™ Matte Black and Carbon Black Film while small accents will be left in gloss black. The CR-Z will act as a canvas for Wraptivo to showcase its vehicle wrap options and give customizers a preview of how they can take advantage of this technology as a new way to protect their factory paint while also having the ability to easily change the look of their vehicle.

To increase performance we are looking to develop a supercharger system, suspension package, an ECU Tune, exhaust system, and other components with the help of our technology partners: Honda Accessories, Tein , HKS, BF Goodrich, Volk Racing, Hondata, and others to be confirmed at a later time. Interior enhancements will be subtle but functional. Recaro seats, a sport shift knob, and alcantara panels will be implemented to give the driver a sportier experience for fun filled excursions.

The completed Wraptivo™ Honda CR-Z Type-F will closely resemble the concept rendering created for us by automotive digital illustrator Jon Sibal (JonSibal.com) though as the Type-F Concept is still in the early stages of production the final version may differ from the illustration slightly.

The Wraptivo Type-F Concept will make its official debut at the 2010 SEMA Show in the American Honda exhibit while the Wraptivo designer car wraps by Meguiar’s product line will also be launched at the same global event. From there it is our intention to test all of our performance upgrades by entering the CR-Z Type-F in Source Interlink’s Super Lap Battle time trial event held the week after SEMA’s conclusion.

SPECTRE SPEEDLINER SHATTERS THREE LAND SPEED RECORDS DURING BONNEVILLE SPEEDWEEK

Team announces plan to attend Bonneville FIA Meet September 20-25 with goal of breaking the 400mph barrier and becoming the fastest gasoline car on earth.

Thirty days and counting. With no time to bask in the glory of last week’s record-setting runs at the Bonneville Salt Flats in Utah, the Spectre Performance team has already torn down the missile-shaped SpeedLiner to prep for a return to the salt and a new mission: a private meet in late September regulated by the FIA. The announcement comes shortly after an incredibly successful campaign at Bonneville Speed Week, where Spectre Performance founder Amir Rosenbaum drove the SpeedLiner into the exclusive 300mph Chapter of the 200 MPH Club and to a maximum velocity of 366mph, shattering three records in two classes.

“This is the purest form of motorsports in the world,” said Rosenbaum. “There are no limitations. It’s all about imagination and a dream. Speed Week was an incredible experience, I joined one of the most exclusive clubs on earth and we set three records – but we remain focused on breaking the 400mph barrier and becoming the fastest gasoline powered car on earth. So we’re going back, in one month, with more power, safer parachutes and one goal: 400mph.”

The Spectre SpeedLiner team is already working around the clock to have the Cadillac powered, missile-shaped race car prepped and ready for an attempt to secure the title as the fastest gasoline powered car in history at a private land speed meet regulated by the Federation Internationale de l’Automobile (FIA) – the international sanctioning organization for motorsport and world speed records. The SpeedLiner will join several other streamliners all vying for world records in several classes.

The SpeedLiner made its first SpeedWeek shakedown with a new “A” Class twin turbocharged Cadillac engine (under 500 cubic inches) on Sunday, August 15th, surprising both witnesses and the crew with an incredible 324 mph first pass that decimated the old 286mph A/BGS (A Class, Blown Gasoline Streamliner) record. In accordance with SCTA rules, the car was then immediately taken to impound and inspected, where it remained until the “backup run” on Sunday. Hours later the car ran again, and its second pass wowed onlookers and clinched the record with a 366mph exit speed, creating a 347.87mph average and a new world record. In his first two runs of the week, Rosenbaum earned his Unlimited Racing License and the coveted 300mph “blue hat”.

On Monday, August 16th, the Spectre SpeedLiner, nicknamed “The Infidel”, continued to push closer to the 400mph barrier without ever hitting the aerodynamic “wall”. Rosenbaum squeezed into the cockpit, which had to be specially designed to accommodate his 6’1″ frame, and drove the black rocket-shaped racecar even faster, breaking the record set the day before, and then backing it up on Tuesday to leave the new A/BGS record at a stunning 356.64 mph. This pushed the A/BGS record by over 70mph, a feat nearly unheard of in land speed racing.

Engine damage from Tuesday’s final run prompted the team to switch out powerplants to the larger 528 cubic inch motor to make a run at its own AA/BGS (unlimited cubic inch, blown gasoline streamliner) record. Despite unpredictable weather and windy track conditions, the car broke the existing 330mph record on Wednesday, Aug 18th, and backed up the run Thursday morning to set the new bar at 348.34mph.

About the Spectre SpeedLiner
What started out as a fuel tank for a Canadian VooDoo bomber evolved into the SpeedLiner at Performance Fabrication in San Carlos, California. Built to compete in the Unlimited Blown Gas Streamliner (AA/BGS) class, the SpeedLiner secured the record in large part thanks to aerodynamics: it is 38-feet long and only 29-inches wide. Body panels were hand-crafted out of aluminum with hammers and English wheels at the Northern California shop. Aerodynamicist Ken Rappaport consulted on the project and designed a tapered tail section that helps it slip through the air at high speed.

Both engines, built by Cad Company of Albuquerque, New Mexico, started life as 1970 stock block Cadillac 472 and 500 cubic inch V8s with stock iron heads and stock iron crankshafts. They have been slightly modified with racing internals and intercooled turbochargers drawing air through Spectre hpR® Air Filters rated at 1885 CFM each. Unlike most land speed cars that draw air from a scoop mounted atop the car, the SpeedLiner pulls air from scoops on the lower sides of the body. This helps with inlet air pressure but collects up to 100 lbs of salt per run – which is why the hpR filters play a critical role in engine longevity. The same filters are available for street cars through the Spectre catalog.

“To set a record my first run down the salt in a fresh car with a new engine, that was an incredible feeling,” says Rosenbaum. “But we aren’t finished. I want to run 400mph and become the fastest gasoline powered wheel driven car in history – more men have walked on the moon then have driven that fast on earth. This was a team effort, and we’re very close. Expect big things from this car before the year is up.”

In the past 4 weeks, there where several media reports of Ferrari 458 Italias catching fire, after a investigation Ferrari has now issued to recall all the 1,248 units.

Ferrari determined the cause of the fires to be related to an adhesive used to attach a heat shield on the inside rear wheel.  When the engine reached a high temperature, the adhesive melted and eventually cause fire.

All recalled heat shields will be mounted with mechanical fasteners once the adhesive is removed.

Owners who had their vehicles damaged by fire will receive a new model.
