Dream Vision 17U went 2-0 in pool play in the Ronnie Brewer division. They defeated Southeast Elite 68-60 and Rashard Lewis Elite 66-42.

In those pool play games, Isaac Hamilton played exceptionally well, scoring in a wide variety of ways and grabbing rebounds. Kindell Kinloch contributed defensively with his shot-blocking and rebounding. The newest addition to the 17U team, Stephen Zimmerman, played well in the paint on both ends of the floor.

Dream Vision 17U faced off with Tennessee Chosen Few – Black on Saturday night in their first bracket game. Thanks to strong performances from Hamilton, Stephen Domingo, and Zimmerman — who dunked over an opposing forward — Dream Vision 17U advanced with a 66-55 victory.

In quarterfinal action, Dream Vision 17U met Dallas Showtyme Elite.

Hamilton struggled with his jump shot throughout the game, but he adjusted and accumulated 22 points, mostly on layups and free throws. Stephen Domingo added 15 points of his own. Dream Vision moved on with a 60-57 win.

The Dallas Trojans jumped out to a strong lead in the first half in the semi-finals, but Dream Vision 17U fought back and cut the deficit to 28-21 at half-time.

In the second half, Ron Lee helped Dream Vision 17U pull even with a couple important three-pointers. After Hamilton put the team in front 63-62 with 48 seconds left, Dallas Showtyme quickly responded to go up 65-63.

Isaac Hamilton then drilled one from long range off a pass from Lee to give Dream Vision 17U the lead with just three seconds left.

Dream Vision 17U held on to win 66-65. Hamilton finished with a game-high 27 points. Stephen Domingo stepped up in the first half to keep the team in the game, as he scored ten first half points on his way to finishing with 15.

For the championship game, Dream Vision 17U had a rematch with Southeast Elite, who got off to a hot start and lead 22-10 early on.

Ron Lee continued his hot Sunday shooting to help Dream Vision come back, and the team headed into half-time down only 33-28.

In the second half, Kindell Kinloch finished his interior shots with contact, as he did throughout the tournament, while Stephen Domingo and Isaac Hamilton provided guard scoring.

Thanks to their balanced scoring attack, Dream Vision 17U came back to win 66-61 and took the 17U Ronnie Brewer Division Championship.

In the title game, Ron Lee led the team with 17 points. Stephen Domingo and Isaac Hamilton added 12 and 11 points, respectively. Stephen Zimmerman contributed nine points, including another dunk over a defender. Jamal Aytes scored seven points.

Dream Vision 16U had trouble with turnovers and inconsistent play throughout the weekend, with their lone win on Saturday morning. They’ll look to turn things around in their next event.

Dream Vision competed in the Adidas VIP Exclusive Run in Las Vegas over the weekend of April 20-22.

The 17U team faced off with some of the nation’s most talented AAU teams.

Dream Vision 17U went 2-0 in pool play on Saturday, defeating the Louisville Magic 81-71 and the Connecticut Basketball Club 87-77.

Isaac Hamilton excelled, putting up 30 points and eight rebounds in one game. Stephen Domingo also contributed strong inside-outside play, scoring in a multitude of ways from the wing.

Dream Vision 17U fell to eventual tournament runner-up Garner Road in bracket play, before going on to beat the NW Panthers and the Atlanta Celtics on the back side of the championship bracket.

In the 16U division, Dream Vision also went 2-0, winning against Aim High 84-73 and against MOC Elite 71-53. Stephen Zimmerman put up double-doubles in both games.

Dream Vision 16U lost to the Atlanta Celtics in overtime 74-71 in the first game of bracket play. They also dropped another three-point game against the NE Playaz on the back side of the bracket. Shad Watson stood out, hitting multiple shots from beyond the arc.

Dream Vision’s 15U and 14U both competed in the 15U division over the weekend.

The 15U squad won over Gamepoint 56-46 and over the Colorado Hawks 61-60 to also go 2-0 in pool play. They then defeated the Compton Magic 14U team and Aim High to advance to the 15U Championship. They trailed for most of the title game against Indiana Elite, and a late comeback fell short.

Dream Vision 14U defeated Power House 79-58 and lost a tight one to the Mass Rivals 61-60. They lost in bracket play to the Compton Magic 15U team, though Ryan Murphy contributed 19 points.

We caught up with one of the top 2015 block prospects, Stephen Zimmerman out of Bishop Gorman H.S. Las Vegas, NV.

We caught up with one of the top 2015 block prospects, Stephen Zimmerman out of Bishop Gorman H.S. Las Vegas, NV. Zimmerman has been compared to Dirk Nowitzki because of his soft touch, fade-away from the bounce and ability to get to the rim. Zimmerman will play for Dream Vision 16U this spring and will make appearances on the 17U team as well. Both teams ranked top 10 according to fivestarbasketball.com. What sets Zimmerman apart from his peers is his competitiveness, shot blocking skill set and his mental toughness. Zimmerman is already considered one of the best bigs to come out of Nevada and has no problems backing it up as evidenced this past weekend when he led a 14U 8th grade Dream Vision team to a Hal Pastner Las Vegas Big Foot 15U championship averaging 26 points, 16 rebounds, 7 blocks and 5 assists per game. Zimmerman has nothing but upside and is a big man that will write his own script on how good or great he wants to be. Here is what Zimmerman had to say to premierball.COM.

Image © Coast2CoastHoops.com

Coast2CoastHoops.com watched Stephen Zimmerman, the top ranked player in the class of 2015, in a private workout at Bishop Gorman High School in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Standing at 6’10″ with a wiry frame, it’s obvious that Zimmerman has excellent height and length for the high school level and beyond. He is also mobile and coordinated enough to operate on the perimeter, making him a very intriguing prospect.

“He’s grown gradually, there hasn’t been one big spurt,” said Zimmerman’s mother, Lori. “When he was 12 he was 6’1″, and now he’s 6’10″. The only growth spurts he goes through are with those feet. It seemed like he went from a size 12 to a size 18 overnight, and now he says he’s ready for 19.”

Zimmerman ran one on one drills with his trainer that showcased his offensive skills for most of the session. He looked comfortable in the low block area and as his footwork develops, his quickness and touch around the basket will make him difficult to defend. Zimmerman is still adding post moves to his game, but shows promise as a back to the basket player.

A lefty, Zimmerman can step out and hit the elbow jumper. More importantly, though, he shows the ability to develop range out to the three point line. With a quick release and good rotation on his shot, he should be able to get his shot off against most defenders and has potential as a stretch four at the power forward spot.

Zimmerman hasn’t officially received any offers, however some of the nation’s elite basketball programs have contacted him, including UCLA, Arizona, and Kansas.
