High Waist Jeans Coming Back in Style

Lately, the preferred style for womens jeans has become medium rise or low rise cuts. Most woman walking around nowadays are wearing them. It is very rare to see anyone shopping for high waist jeans.

There are two stores that have ads for high waisted jeans. One is Kohl’s. They sell the Lee brand of this type. There are four regular sized pockets, two in front, two in the back, and one small sized pocket also in the front. They are the relaxed style, as well as a boot cut version. The other brand that they sell is Gloria Vanderbilt. These also come with the same pocket design, and a petite version is also available. However, the difference in the Gloria Vanderbilt jeans is the narrow fit in the leg.

The other store that’s most notably carrying high waist jeans is Macy’s. They also carry the same styles as Kohl’s, but are priced higher. High waist jeans then still can be found. Also, there are smaller, locally owned shops and boutiques that carry this variety along with the popular low rise style.

The Origins of Hale Bob

It was in the year 2000 that Daniel Bohbot, a native Moroccan who spent 20 years in the fashion industry, first visited Los Angeles. He was awestruck by the Hollywood lifestyle and sightings of famous celebrities. But the style of the clothing is what really caught his eye. Glamour and sex appeal, bohemian flair and lots of hand-beading, were the mainstays of Los Angeles women at the time. Their originality and creativity in putting together an outfit was the impetus for an idea to start his own women’s clothing line.

Bohbot returned to Paris and in 2001 and, along with his brother Marc, decided to open Hale Bob and offer the unique fashions of L.A. to women everywhere. It wasn’t long before Bohbot decided that his business needed to be located in the same place he’d received his inspiration. Later that year, he and his brother, the founder of Bisou Bisou, moved to California.

Where Hale Bob First Began

The year was 2000. Daniel Bohbot, originally from Morocco but living in Paris, visited Los Angeles for the first time. He’d spent many years working in the fashion industry and soon found himself excited by the original and creative styles of Hollywood stars. They were sexy and glamorous, combining earthy Bohemian looks with more sophisticated pieces. Their ability to put together stylish outfits prompted Bohbot to begin thinking about opening up his own shop of designer women’s clothing.

After Bohbot flew back to Paris, he consulted with his brother Marc, the famed founder of Bisou Bisou. Together, the brothers opened Hale Bob in 2001. It was their aim to provide California style to women all over the world. It wasn’t long before they decided that Paris was not the place they wanted to stay. The Bohbots moved their operation back to where it all started: Los Angeles.

Hale Bob is a variation on the name of the famed comet. Bohbot chose this name to represent how his clothing would make women feel like they were stars. It was his inspiration for the sexy tops which would become the brand’s first offerings. Soon, other nightclub-style garments were added to the label.
