VACCINE WARNING - PANDEMIC WARNING

After working with Reversed Speech on government officials for more than ten years I can tell you that there is indeed a long-running plan to dissolve the Federal government and remake the world into what you might call a global corporate feudalism. This plan is coming to its climax right now. Although the final moves have been postponed several times, all indications are that there can be no more delays, and a global killer pandemic is the first step in that plan.

You are getting a lot of scare stories from the media (and the Pentagon�s billion dollar Internet propaganda machine) about the Swine Flu. But the swine flu is a joke, and almost everyone knows it. The real pandemic is still seven to ten weeks away.

We�ve recently learned the secret behind the Swine Flu Vaccine that is being pushed so strongly on the public. While the vaccine may make you sick, its real purpose is to greatly increase the fast-kill mechanism of the pandemic still to come. Worse yet, the vaccine is being used to target specific groups of people who are simply not welcome in our brave new world.

In the USA these include Blacks, American Indians, and Baby Boomers.

Background

I first picked up on this ten years ago. I was intensely interested in Chemtrails, those bizarre streaks in the sky that first appeared in the week following Pearl Harbor Day, 1998. They were linked to a banned pesticide, Ethylene Dibromide, right off the bat. Most of the later stories you�ve read about chemtrails have been designed to draw you away from this initial identification. Throughout 1999 I used RS to eavesdrop on Washington. I got what I wanted, but it seemed of no value. I learned that the chemtrail operation was part of a billion dollar CIA-run program called Starwars. No, it has nothing to do with space. It�s named for the first Starwars film which, if you�ll think back, featured a monstrous weapon aimed at an entire planet.

I also found that the Starwars program had a second component. This involved CREATING a disease, and that something about this process involved BIRDS. Unfortunately, this information made no sense. Remember, this was the time of Y2K. A lot of things didn't�t make sense then. In this case, how would dosing people with the world�s nastiest pesticide be related to a killer influenza, and what was the disease to be used for? And why?

That year was also odd because a propaganda campaign designed to convince everyone that the world was overpopulated kicked into high gear. You still run across it today, but it was intense when it first started. The result is that most Americans believe that they are simply rubbing shoulders with too many people. Excepting four or five of our largest cities, the reality is that you need only drive for 20 minutes beyond the edge of your town, and you will see nothing but nearly empty land. Overpopulation is a myth designed to make you feel better in a post-pandemic world.

I watched that year as government money financed three different expeditions to find 1918 burial sites where frozen samples of killer virus might be found and retrieved. I also learned that, although there are good indications this virus was introduced in injections given to Europe-bound U.S. troops at Ft. Riley, Kansas, the genetic origins of what was soon called Spanish Flu suggest that it�s genetic source involved birds � either in the wild or in a vaccine laboratory.

It wasn't until 2004 that I understood why the "illuminati" were interested in creating a killer pandemic. That was the year I ran across an article in a magazine devoted to real estate that talked about the massive shift of wealth that would be happening in the future. The author was writing about the retirement of the Baby Boomers. Later I would learn that this would be the greatest financial threat our western governments have ever faced.

The hunt for the 1918 virus was public knowledge, as was the failure to find any living samples. Also made public was the commitment on the part of CDC and others to find some other way to recreate the virus since the search for the original had failed. It wasn�t too much later that one of those attempts scared the medical community half to death. A Chinese laboratory, working under contract to recreate the virus by working backward from current bird flu allowed their creation to escape. Rather than give this virus a proper scientific designation, it�s genetic origin was hidden by calling it SARS, Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome.

Anyone who knew the symptoms of the 1918 pandemic would have recognized SARS immediately as a virtual clone of the 1918 virus. In fact, virtually everything we know about how to protect people from pandemic influenza (which is much more than the government or media will tell you) was learned in the SARS outbreak. But SARS had a significant flaw. It was not seriously contagious until after the victim was already showing signs of illness. Intercepting people with symptoms stopped it from spreading. The real pandemic influenza is contagious before symptoms appear, which is why it will spread like wildfire once it is released on the public. But it will kill in exactly the same way.

As reported in normal news channels, the 1918 killer flu was in fact rebuilt from scratch using the latest gene technology, made to match viral DNA that was brought back from the original expeditions. In a civilized world this would be a capital offense. But that is a world that mankind has yet to create.

In the meantime, governments have spent hundreds of billions of dollars preparing for the moment that the �Bird Flu� is finally released. Do you think they would do this based on a rumor or perhaps a psychic reading? All that money has been spent in preparing for the �continuity� of government, the control of civilian populations, and the methods for dealing with millions of dead or dying civilians in the most efficient and cost effective manner. How much did they spend on protecting or saving you? Not a dime. The public is still being told that everything will be fine if they just make sure their kids wash their hands.

Now, you may be wondering how the various governments expect their countries to keep functioning in the aftermath of an engineered pandemic that could take out a huge percentage of the workforce. Actually that problem has been solved. If you will think back to 1999, you'll realize that was the time that Washington began it's open-door policy for illegal aliens. Likewise for Europe, and in both cases entirely against the wishes of their citizens. So we now have an extra 20-25 million "illegals," all of whom have a lifetime of experience in societies where you don't fight city hall. Although six or eight million may lose their lives in the Pandemic, there will be plenty left over to answer the need for labor. They will be there to take the jobs, buy the empty houses and, in return for legalization, pay the taxes. No problemo, amigo!

The REAL Pandemic Is On It's Way

Our Project (and this website) was created three years ago to track and expose repeated attempts to use a false-flag nuclear weapon to trigger the destruction of Iran and the theft of it�s vast oil reserves. This plan is code-named GAMBIT, and the latest version is running right now. Gambit has failed many times, much to the outrage of the Oil Cartel that conceived it. Just scroll down to the first reversed-speech segment, which features George Bush absolutely furious because a 2007 attempt to set off a nuke in southeast Texas has failed. Note that he says the failure will require another billion dollars for Starwars, the chemtrail/pandemic project that now must wait another year before it can be concluded.

The current version of Gambit involves a nuclear tipped missile aimed at some sparsely populated area in Israel. Although we don�t know the date, we do know that the White House and Downing Street have been told repeatedly that this is Gambit�s last chance. It cannot be recycled and tried again.

Why have Obama, Gordon Brown and others been told that this is the last chance for Gambit? Because the �Bird Flu� Pandemic simply cannot be postponed for another year. Once it begins, large scale military operations will become impossible, and the U.S. will need it�s military here at home, perhaps for a very long time. Ready to go at least three years ago, the pandemic has been postponed each time a previous Gambit attempt failed. Everyone is being told that this is not going to happen this year.

Postponements have been a nuisance for our Illuminati masters, because each time has meant another billion dollars for the chemtrail program in North America, and a similar amount in Europe. Chemtrails and the Pandemic are two parts of the same operation. We didn't understand why until we learned that pesticide poisoning distorts hormonal functions, and reduces adrenal availability. The invisible part of chemtrails, the pesticide Ethylene Dibromide that falls to earth immediately and blows through your neighborhood, is reducing your ability to fight off the Cytokine Storm, the fast-kill mechanism of the recently recreated 1918 virus.

As I�ve told our newsletter readers many times, the Pandemic has nothing to do with imaginary overpopulation, Satanic goals, or any other strangeness. It�s strictly about money. All the welfare states, including Russia, are going broke. In the U.S. retiring Baby Boomers are about to suck away the government�s last penny. Unless something is done, the Illuminati-run North American Union designed to replace the current circuses in Washington and Ottawa will quickly bleed to death if it must pick up the same welfare burden. Socialism has only one answer for problems like this: mass murder. And it simply can�t be put off any longer.

There is a word we are finding quite often now in reversed speech from Washington and London: DECEMBER. It�s always there, like the uninvited guest lurking in the corner of the room. When we are following current plans as they appear in the reversed speech, nothing seems to go past the next six weeks or so, and the thoughts trail off as the word DECEMBER appears again. Like a dark cloud on the horizon. It seems to be something so terrible that no one wants to think about it directly. All my experience with reversed speech, and ten years of tracking the chemtrail/pandemic conspiracy, tells me that middle or late December is the current target for the release of the recreated 1918 virus.

You will be told that swine flu has made it into bird populations and magically mutated to create a deadly, rapidly spreading form of Bird Flu. There will be no truth to this at all. The virus they will release is the recreated 1918 virus, already in many bio labs, and perhaps boosted a bit from the original 1918 variety in terms of lethality. You are being given a psychological practice run for this scenario right now, with scary but exaggerated stories from Ukraine.

The world will be told that there are no vaccines that can touch it. It will spread slowly at first, but by mid January it will be sweeping the globe. Make no mistake. This is the one I�ve been warning about, and you will literally see bodies on the sidewalk if the records from 1918 are to be believed.

Swine Flu Vaccine A Deadly Trap

In comic contrast, the swine flu is a joke, and at least half the world knows it. Even its official designation is a joke. The original 1918 virus is H1N1. This new bug, which does not appear to be natural in any way, would have some other number if the murderous clowns at the CDC were even remotely honest. A lot of very sharp people have been looking at the swine flu and swine flu vaccine program, but they don�t know the larger picture.

The puzzle they cannot solve is why western governments are so adamant about getting people to actually take the shots. Most of us understand that these big vaccine campaigns are simply money-making programs for Big Pharma, third in the pantheon of corporate players that own and operate virtually all western governments. But does it make sense this time? After all, these vaccines are already paid for. They could be dumped in a landfill and the manufacturers wouldn�t care at all.

It�s virtually impossible that anyone could actually benefit from the swine flu vaccine, especially with the nasty components included in the batches for the general public. (Big scandal in Europe now about VIP�s getting clean batches instead.) So why does �Obama� want you injected?

Two years ago, when anti-flu products were designated for different age groups (workers, elderly, young people) the implications were clear. Remember this is a welfare-driven emergency.

The secret purpose of the swine flu vaccine is not obvious until you fully understand what the vaccine does. And you must combine that information with the understanding that the real Pandemic is just around the corner.

I don�t want to seem omniscient here, so I�ll have to confess the real secret of the swine flu vaccine just came across my desk on Wednesday. Someone sent me a couple paragraphs attributed to Dr. Russell Blaylock, the MD that produces the Blaylock Wellness Report, a subscription newsletter. Here�s the paragraph that says it all:

No one should take the swine flu vaccine � it is one of the most dangerous vaccines ever devised. It contains an immune adjuvant called squalene MF-59 which has been shown to cause severe autoimmune disorders such as MS, rheumatoid arthritis and Lupus. This is the vaccine adjuvant that is strongly linked to the Gulf War syndrome, which killed over 10,000 soldiers and caused a 200% increase in the fatal disease ALS (Lou Gehreg disease). This [swine flu] virus kills by causing a cytokine storm, which means that it causes the body's immune system to overreact and that is why it is killing young people and is a mild disease in the elderly. (The elderly have weakened immune systems.) This vaccine is a very powerful immune stimulator and carries the real possibility of making the lethality of the virus much greater.

What Dr. Blaylock is saying, is that the vaccine will greatly boost the Cytokine Storm, increasing the chance that people will die from the silly swine flu virus before the vaccine can kill it off. He doesn't realize that a disease with twenty times the Cytokine effect is just around the corner.

In our newsletters I�ve been talking about the Cytokine Storm for almost three years. It is the quick-kill factor in the original 1918 virus that killed several hundred million people around the globe. In simple terms it is a form of rapid inflammation, similar to an allergic reaction to the toxins produced by the virus as it multiplies in your gut. The inflammation takes place in the lungs, and if it is too strong, or lasts too long, it will kill you. Often within a single day. A popular saying in 1918 and 1919 was, "Healthy in the morning, dead by nightfall."

Populations of all western nations practicing socialized welfare systems have already had their ability to shut down the Cytokine Storm greatly impaired by six to ten years of chemtrail spraying. Now, if the part of your immune system that produces the Cytokine Storm is put on hyperdrive by the swine flu shot, when the real H1N1 virus comes along in December or January, your chances of survival are going to be very poor.

No wonder Homeland Security has spent thousands of man-hours trying to locate sites for mass burials! Those folks are not stupid, and they know what is coming. You, on the other hand, are assumed to be both stupid and powerless.

Who Is Being Targeted For Death?

I�ve told you all along the Baby Boomers are the primary target. The financial disaster caused by their retirement has been known for twenty years or more via simple arithmetic. But the rest of the story is even uglier.

As you know, the big news on the vaccine front is that shipments have been delayed and, although every state has received some, supplies are limited. This has been beautifully orchestrated to produce a specific result. Limited supply means that specific groups can be selectively targeted for death.

Last week a man I know personally visited his doctor. This man is a good Pharma slave � he visits an MD regularly and does whatever he is told. He went for a quick check-up and his seasonal flu shot (yuck!), which he got with no problem. Naturally, he also asked about getting a swine flu shot. He was told the same thing that others around the country were being told.

Because of �limited availability� the only people who could get swine flu shots at that time, whether paid or for free, were Blacks and American Indians.

I checked around and found that other people had been told the same thing.

Did I tell you this is a Welfare-driven emergency? Although grossly unfair, it appears that our masters have determined that Blacks and Indians are the �welfare classes� in our society, and their numbers must be drastically reduced.

Canada is marching to the same drummer. Benevolent Canadian functionaries have made sure to send the first batches of swine flu vaccine, along with unusually generous supplies of body bags to Canada�s Indian nations. Just off the top of my head, I'd say that Canada is expecting the vaccine to produce something other than the lifesaving effect being advertised! Do you remember the stories of blankets laden with Smallpox given to Indian tribes in the 1800s? Yes, it's same thing all over again. Sure it�s genocide, but in the chaos to come you are not supposed to notice.

Just in case you do notice a post-pandemic statistical strangeness, the Pentagon�s domestic propaganda teams are already working on it. The same people responsible for about 80 per cent of the goofiness you see on the web have begun recirculating old stories about diseases created to attack specific ethnic groups. At least two e-mails on this topic specifically using the term �genocide� have crossed my desk this week.

This is a typical tactic. If you should discover later that deaths among the Indian Nations or African Americans are disproportionately high, then you have a wild goose story already prepared to lead you away from the fact that these people were selected for death in their own doctor�s office.

Growing Resistance Not What You Think

There is a growing sense of resistance in this country. We certainly see it, loud and clear, in regard to the swine flu vaccine program. Guess what? I�ve tracked about a third of the anti-vaccine material back to known Pentagon propaganda mills.

Why would they do this? Two reasons. They are very strong right now on fostering disgust and rebellion against the Obama administration. They apparently feel this will make their job much easier down the road, when it is time to dissolve the central government in Washington, and �white hat� generals help to put in the new one. They also want to make sure there is enough anti-vaccine hysteria on the Internet that fact-based warnings like this one, or Dr. Blaylock's simply can't be heard.

However, just to show how difficult it must be inside what Orwell would have called the Ministry Of Truth, other offices inside this massive operation must churn out Swine Flu hysteria pieces at the same time. Naturally, this is putting the gullible in a serious dilemma: Get the shot that allegedly will kill me tomorrow, or risk the flu which might might kill me next week. TV exposure may be associated with aggressive behavior in young children

Three-year-old children who are exposed to more TV appear to be at an increased risk for exhibiting aggressive behavior, according to a report in the November issue of Archives of Pediatrics & Adolescent Medicine, one of the JAMA/Archives journals.

"Early childhood aggression can be problematic for parents, teachers and childhood peers and sometimes is predictive of more serious behavior problems to come, such as juvenile delinquency, adulthood violence and criminal behavior," according to background information in the article. Various predictive factors for childhood aggression have been studied. These include parents' discipline style, neighborhood safety and media exposure. "After music, television is the medium children aged 0 to 3 years are exposed to the most." Although the American Academy of Pediatrics recommends no screen media for children younger than age 2, studies have found consistent use of television in that age group.

Jennifer A. Manganello, Ph.D., M.P.H., of University at Albany, State University of New York, Rensselaer, and Catherine A. Taylor, Ph.D., M.S.W., M.P.H., of Tulane University School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine, New Orleans, analyzed data from 3,128 mothers of children born from 1998 to 2000 in 20 large U.S. cities to examine associations of child television exposure and household television use with aggressive behavior in children. Parents were interviewed at the time of the child's birth and at one and three years. At three years, they were asked to report time the child spent watching TV directly as well as household TV use on a typical day. Aggression also was assessed at 3 years of age using a 15-item aggressive subscale for 2- and 3-year-old children. Demographic information and other risk factors for aggression were also noted.

About two-thirds (65 percent) of mothers reported that their 3-year-old child watched more than two hours of television per day. On average, children were exposed to an additional 5.2 hours of household TV use per day.

Direct child TV exposure and household TV use were both significantly associated with childhood aggression, after accounting for other factors such as parent, family, neighborhood and demographic characteristics. "One explanation that could link both child and household TV measures with aggression involves the parenting environment," the authors write. Households with higher rates of TV use may have fewer restrictions on children's viewing habits such as exposure to unregulated television content. Increased household television use may also affect daily routines such as eating and communication patterns and may decrease time spent on other activities.

"Current American Academy of Pediatrics recommendations mainly suggest limitations for direct child exposure to TV and other media; however, our findings suggest that additional household TV use may also be an important predictor of negative childhood outcomes, such as early childhood aggression," the authors conclude. "Future research in this area should consider inclusion of both of these TV variables along with additional parent-child interaction assessments, observational assessments when possible, quality and/or content of TV programs and longitudinal analyses."

For Nano-Microchips Inside Vaccines?

It's almost surreal, like something out of a sci-fi flick, but nano-microchips invisible to the naked eye are a reality that are already being hosted in wide-range of applications. The question is, how long will it take governments and big pharma to immerse nano-microchips inside of vaccines to tag and surveil global populations?

Nanotechnology deals with structures smaller than one micrometer (less than 1/30th the width of a human hair), and involves developing materials or devices within that size. To put the size of a nanometer in perspective, it is 100,000 times smaller than the width of a human hair.

More than ten years ago, simple low-cost techniques improved the design and manufacture of nano-microchips. That unlocked a multitude of methodologies for their manufacture in a wide-range of applications including optical, biological, and electronic devices.

The joint use of nanoelectronics, photolithography, and new biomaterials, have enabled the required manufacturing technology towards nanorobots for common medical applications, such as surgical instrumentation, diagnosis and drug delivery.

Japan's Hitachi says it has developed the world's smallest and thinnest microchip, that can be embedded in paper to track down parcels or prove the authenticity of a document. The integrated circuit (IC) chip is as minute as a speck of dust.

Nanoelectrodes implanted in the brain are increasingly being used to manage neurological disorders. Mohammad Reza Abidian, a post-doctoral researcher at the U-M Department of Biomedical Engineering said that polymers in nanotubes "are biocompatible and have both electronic and ionic conductivity." He further stated "therefore, these materials are good candidates for biomedical applications such as neural interfaces, biosensors and drug delivery systems."

Depending on the objectives of such studies, research could theoretically pave the way for smart recording electrodes that can deliver drugs to positively or negatively affect the immune response.

Through nanotechnology, researchers have also been able to create artificial pores able to transmit nanoscale materials through membranes.

A UC biomedical engineering study appearing in the journal Nature Nanotechnology, Sept. 27, 2009, successfully inserted the modified core of a nanomotor, a microscopic biological machine, into a lipid membrane. The resulting channel enabled them to move both single- and double-stranded DNA through the membrane.

Professor Peixuan Guo who led the study said past work with biological channels has been focused on channels large enough to move only single-stranded genetic material.

"Since the genomic DNA of human, animals, plants, fungus and bacteria are double stranded, the development of single pore system that can sequence double-stranded DNA is very important," he says.

Such engineered channels could have applications in nano-sensing, DNA sequencing, drug loading, including innovative techniques to implement DNA packaging mechanisms of viral nanomotors and vaccine delivery.

"The idea that a DNA molecule travels through the nanopore, advancing nucleotide by nucleotide, could lead to the development of a single pore DNA sequencing apparatus, an area of strong national interest," Guo said.

Scientists working at Queen Mary, University of London, have developed micrometer-sized capsules to safely deliver drugs inside living cells. These "micro shuttles" could hypothetically be loaded with a specific microchip controlling the dose of medication to be opened remotely, releasing their contents. Besides monitoring the dosage, the same microchip could be used to surveil the patient in conjunction with various tracking systems.

Scientists in the United Kingdom have recently reported advances towards overcoming key challenges in nanotechnology. They demonstrated how nanoparticles could move quickly in a desired direction without help from outside forces. Their achievement has broad implications, the scientists say, raising the possibility of coaxing cells to move and grow in specific directions.

Doug Dorst, a microbiologist and vaccine critic in South Wales, says these advances have an immense appeal to vaccine makers. "Biotech companies and their researchers have quickly moved most funding initiatives towards nanotechnology to increase the potency of their vaccines," he said. If microorganisms inside of vaccines can be coaxed into targeting or invading specific cells, they could achieve their goal at an accelerated rate over conventional vaccines. "Depending on which side of the vaccine debate you're on, whether pro or con, nanobots inside vaccine preparations could advance their effectiveness exponentially by either dramatically improving or destroying immunity depending on their design," he added.

Dorst claims that present day nanobot technology could just as easily be used to advance biological weapons as they can to advance human health. "For every fear that biotech propaganda proliferates about deadly diseases and how vaccines prevent them, it is one more lie to incrementally convince the masses that vaccines are effective."

The worry for Dorst is that one day vaccines "will do what they've always been intended for...control of the global populace."

Nanoemulsion platforms are already capable of developing vaccines from very diverse materials. Mixtures of soybean oil, alcohol, water and detergents can be emulsified into ultra-small particles smaller than 400 nanometers wide (about 1/200th the width of a human hair). These could be combined with any number of nano-microchips with all or part of disease-causing microbes to trigger the body's immune system.

In 2007 researchers at the Ecole Polytechnique F�d�rale de Lausanne (EPFL) announced in an article in the journal, Nature Biotechnology, that they had developed a �nanoparticle that can deliver vaccines more effectively, with fewer side effects, and at a fraction of the cost of current vaccine technologies.� The article went on to describe the effects of their breakthrough: �At a mere 25 nanometers, these particles are so tiny that once injected, they flow through the skin�s extracellular matrix, making a beeline to the lymph nodes. Within minutes, they�ve reached a concentration of DCs thousands of times greater than in the skin."

Russia has recently announced a new manufacturing plant that will strictly produce nano-vaccines. Project plans include development of two vaccines for human flu and bird flu and three biopharmaceuticals for boosting the immune system and increasing the efficiency of antibacterial and antiviral drugs, among other initiatives.

The human body is very resistant to nanoparticles that attempt to invade human cells. Scientists are intensely investigating methods to disrupt human enzymes that may degrade nanoparticles. Experts at the University of Liverpool found a way around this obstacle that could mean more efficient, topical drugs in the future, which could act a whole lot faster than the ones currently in use.

All these nanotechnological advances raise many issues and concerns about the toxicity and environmental impact of nanomaterials, and their potential effects on medicine, global economics, as well as speculation about government surveillance. These concerns have led to a debate among advocacy groups and governments on whether special regulation of nanotechnology is warranted.

The Environmental Protection Agency issued a news release last week saying that it had �today outlined a new research strategy to better understand how manufactured nanomaterials may harm human health and the environment.� Interesting as that strategy document is, it was hardly hot off the presses.

Indeed, many companies advertise their use of such billionth-of-a-meter-scale constituents as a measure of a product's state-of-the-art status, implying that ultra-small ingredients are an inherently good thing. They aren�t. Nor does size necessarily make these materials worse than others. At this point it's just maddeningly unpredictable what nano things will do.

Proponents of nanotechnology are very critical of regulatory measures that may impeed its progression. Many of these critics have staunchly dismissed concerns as being fear-hyped conspiracy theories based on science fiction.

In the popular video game series Metal Gear Solid, many characters and soldiers in general, have "nanomachines" in their bloodstream, and are used to block pain, allow members of fire teams/patrols to share sensory information, heal bodily damage, as well as manipulating viruses central to video game's plot line.

Through the use of special effects and computer-generated imagery, several blockbusters starring Keanu Reeves including The Matrix Trilogy and The Day the Earth Stood Still, have dramatized how nanobots could effectively take control of their organic and inorganic targets.

Star Trek episodes and their theatrical releases such as Star Trek: First Contact have also depicted how nanoprobes (nanites) could infect an individual's bloodstream through a pair of tubules.

Regardless of the recurring themes of nanobots in video games, sci-fi shows and movies, nanotechnology is a reality, and nano-microchips are well on their way to being utilized in ways which may be detrimental to human health and freedom on a global scale.

The development of nano-microchips are a major thrust of governments and pharmaceutical industries who want the ultimate power and leverage over global populations for more profit and more control.

In December 2000, Former Chief Medical Officer of Finland, Rauni-Leena Luukanen-Kilde, MD stated that it is technically possible for every newborn to be injected with a microchip, which could then function to identify the person for the rest of his or her life. Such plans are secretly being discussed in the U.S. without any public airing of the privacy issues involved.

Today's microchips operate by means of low-frequency radio waves that target them. With the help of satellites, the implanted person can be tracked anywhere on the globe. Such a technique was among a number tested in the Iraq war, according to Dr. Carl Sanders, who invented the intelligence-manned interface (IMI) biotic, which is injected into people. (Earlier during the Vietnam War, soldiers were injected with the Rambo chip, designed to increase adrenaline flow into the bloodstream.) The 20-billion-bit/second supercomputers at the U.S. National Security Agency (NSA) could now "see and hear" what soldiers experience in the battlefield with a remote monitoring system (RMS).

When a 5-micromillimeter microchip (the diameter of a strand of hair is 50 micromillimeters) is placed into optical nerve of the eye, it draws neuroimpulses from the brain that embody the experiences, smells, sights, and voice of the implanted person. Once transferred and stored in a computer, these neuroimpulses can be projected back to the person�s brain via the microchip to be reexperienced. Using a RMS, a land-based computer operator can send electromagnetic messages (encoded as signals) to the nervous system, affecting the target's performance. With RMS, healthy persons can be induced to see hallucinations and to hear voices in their heads.

Every thought, reaction, hearing, and visual observation causes a certain neurological potential, spikes, and patterns in the brain and its electromagnetic fields, which can now be decoded into thoughts, pictures, and voices. Electromagnetic stimulation can therefore change a person's brainwaves and affect muscular activity, causing painful muscular cramps experienced as torture.

The NSA's electronic surveillance system can simultaneously follow and handle millions of people. Each of us has a unique bioelectrical resonance frequency in the brain, just as we have unique fingerprints. With electromagnetic frequency (EMF) brain stimulation fully coded, pulsating electromagnetic signals can be sent to the brain, causing the desired voice and visual effects to be experienced by the target. This is a form of electronic warfare. U.S. astronauts were implanted before they were sent into space so their thoughts could be followed and all their emotions could be registered 24 hours a day.

The mass media has not reported that an implanted person's privacy vanishes for the rest of his or her life. S/he can be manipulated in many ways. Using different frequencies, the secret controller of this equipment can even change a person's emotional life. S/he can be made aggressive or lethargic. Sexuality can be artificially influenced. Thought signals and subconscious thinking can be read, dreams affected and even induced, all without the knowledge or consent of the implanted person.

This secret technology has been used by military forces in certain NATO countries since the 1980s without civilian and academic populations having heard anything about it. Thus, little information about such invasive mind-control systems is available in professional and academic journals.

The NSA's Signals Intelligence group can remotely monitor information from human brains by decoding the evoked potentials (3.50HZ, 5 milliwatt) emitted by the brain. Prisoner experimentees in both Gothenburg, Sweden and Vienna, Austria have been found to have evident brain lesions. Diminished blood circulation and lack of oxygen in the right temporal frontal lobes result where brain implants are usually operative. A Finnish experimentee experienced brain atrophy and intermittent attacks of unconsciousness due to lack of oxygen.

Targeting people�s brain functions with electromagnetic fields and beams (from helicopters and airplanes, satellites, from parked vans, neighboring houses, telephone poles, electrical appliances, mobile phones, TV, radio, etc.) is part of the radiation problem that should be addressed by democratically elected governments. However, there is currently no interest by any national government to seriously address this issue.

The timeline for integrating nano-microchips inside of vaccines is speculative. It could be just a few years, months or perhaps it is here and we already unaware of their integration within pharmaceuticals. Regardless, due to the many military and political advantages, their implementation is inevitable.

However fraudulent, it was an imperative for world powers and pharmaceutical cartels to promote the effectiveness of vaccinations and enact national pandemic preparedness policies which mandate vaccinations.

In 2005 the World Health Organization (WHO) developed international health regulations that would bind all 194 member countries to pandemic emergency guidelines which could enforce such a mandate. Without these procedures of public health (and propagandized vaccine campaigns) in place, there would be little or no voluntary cooperation from the public to roll up their sleeves and accept the inoculations. Public participation is an essential tool that will soon allow big pharma to inject the most effective surveillence tool ever designed into billions of people.

Although nanotechnology manufacturing is currently available on a global scale, before biotech companies are able to initiate mass production and testing of nano-microchips inside of vaccines, they will likely sell the idea to the public. Through various "health enhancement scenarios" they will encourage participation and publicly announce regulatory approval from the same policies and regulatory agencies they helped create.

By mid-summer of 2009, the WHO and the Center of Disease Control (CDC) effectively hyped a false flu pandemic and convinced the world to submit to H1N1 vaccines. Additional doses of propaganda and possibly a biological event, may equally convince populations to knowingly accept microchips inside of vaccines under the guise of a "greater good" for humanity.

When our brain functions are already connected to supercomputers by means of radio implants and microchips, it will be too late for protest. This threat can be defeated only by educating the public, using available literature on biotelemetry, nanorobotics and information exchanged at international congresses.

The Origins of the US Dollar

Philosopher Ayn Rand once pointed out that it was Americans who coined the phrase �to make money.� Rather than seeing wealth as something looted or distributed, Rand conceived of it as being earned and produced. In America, the embodiment of financial wealth is the US dollar, also known as �the buck� and �the greenback�. It seems fitting, then, to reflect on the origins of the dollar � both where it came from and how it evolved into the fiat currency that it is today.
Early Origins

Contrary to general assumptions, the dollar existed before the United States was an independent and unified nation. Prior to the Declaration of Independence, the Continental Congress had authorized the government to issue dollars and coins for use as widely accepted tender amongst the thirteen British colonies. The term �dollar� itself actually owes to Spanish currency of the time, specifically the eight-real coin (also known as the Spanish dollar), and U.S. dollars were used side by side with their Spanish counterparts � which were accepted as legal tender until 1857 � during colonial times. In fact, the dollar wasn�t the only monetary system vying for widespread use in colonial America. In the Dutch New Netherland (New York) colony, for example, the lion dollar was the currency of choice. However, the U.S. dollar began separating itself from the pack following a Congressional resolution on August 8, 1786.

It was Alexander Hamilton�s leadership at the treasury department, however, which truly cemented the dollar�s status as the basic unit of account in the U.S. with the passage of the Coinage Act of 1792. The act mandated that a �dollar� be between 371 and 416 grains of silver and an �eagle� be between 247 and 270 grains of gold. (An eagle was said to be with 10 dollars, and a dollar worth one-tenth of an eagle.) Here, again, we see the influence of Spanish dollars on the fledgling American currency, as Hamilton based these silver and gold weights on the average weight of worn Spanish dollars. This act also commissioned the opening of a mint in Philadelphia, then the capital of the nascent country. Incidentally, the mint was the first federal building opened with authority from the United States Constitution.

Interestingly, the practice of putting presidents on the front of U.S. dollars is a rather modern tradition, beginning only in the early 1900�s. George Washington, the president most readily identified with the dollar, scoffed at the idea of using his face on money. To Washington, the very notion smacked of European monarchical tradition. As for the ubiquitous dollar sign ($), various theories have been proposed to explain its emergence. Rand, for instance, claimed that the dollar sign represented �U� and �S� superimposed, although this theory is questionable because the dollar sign predates the formation of the U.S. as an independent nation. Other theories reference the coat of arms found on Spanish colonial currency or suggest that it is nothing but an evolved scribal abbreviation for Spanish and Mexican pesos. The latter is perhaps the most widely believed, but historians remain divided on the exact origin.

The Gold Standard

Realizing that pieces of paper had no intrinsic value (and the inflationary dangers this posed) the U.S. government eventually put the dollar on what is known as a gold standard. Essentially, this meant that every dollar in circulation was �backed� by a certain amount of gold that citizens could demand in exchange for their dollars. The gold standard became law in 1900 with the passage of the Gold Standard Act, which aimed to, ��define and fix the standard of value, to maintain the parity of all forms of money issued or coined by the United States, to refund the public debt, and for other purposes�, according to HistoryCentral.com. Specifically, the Act mandated that each dollar in circulation be valued at $20.67 per ounce of gold. Under such a system, the treasury could not simply print money on whim, but only when and if there were sufficient gold reserves. While the gold standard did indeed restrain inflation and promote sound monetary policy, it proved incapable of adapting to changing circumstances like wars and recessions. The standard was suspended twice during World War 1, for example, because European entities began owing by U.S. corporations in the form of gold. Thus began a massive gold outflow that continued unabated until the New York Stock Exchanged closed in 1914 and the gold standard was put on hold. To its credit, the U.S. restored the gold standard when the NYSE re-opened in December of that year, making the U.S. the only nation in the world to maintain its gold standard by that time.

It was not to last, however. When the Great Depression set in, currency speculators began demanding gold in exchange for their dollars en masse. While the Federal Reserve raised interest rates in an attempt to protect the gold standard, bank runs persisted throughout the early 1930�s. Finally, in 1933, President Franklin Delano Roosevelt suspended the standard and revoked gold as universal legal tender for debts. Interestingly, even this suspension was considered to be temporary at the time � it was only the growing chaos of the depression which kept the restoration of the gold standard permanently on the back burner in terms of political importance. Nevertheless, the U.S. dollar�s relationship to gold grew more and more tenuous over the years.

The Fiat Standard

The dollars we all use today operate independently of gold prices or any precious metals of intrinsic value. This is known as �fiat currency� � that is, the dollar�s value is only that which we collectively ascribe to it. Insofar as we value, accept and seek dollars as compensation, they have and will continue to have value. Transformation of the U.S. dollar into a fiat currency began in earnest in 1963, when the words �payable to bearer on demand� were left out of all newly printed Federal Reserve notes. Holders of pre-1963 currency could still redeem it for gold until 1968, when redemption was discontinued. Additionally, 1965�s Coinage Act stopped the practice of using silver in quarters and dimes, which were composed 90% of silver prior. In sum, this means that all of the roughly $829 billion worth of U.S. currency estimated to be in worldwide circulation in 2007 is redeemable for and intrinsically worth precisely nothing. The �real� value of U.S. currency begins and ends with the value of the paper it is printed on.

Despite being a fiat currency, the U.S. dollar serves as a sort of barometer for the health of the world�s financial system. Today, entire countries (such as Panama, the British Virgin Islands and El Salvador) peg their currency to the dollar just as the U.S. once pegged the dollar to gold; others go so far as using dollars in lieu of � or alongside � their own currencies. Evidently, the fact that the the dollar is backed by nothing but �the full faith and credit of the United States government� is convincing enough for our citizens and the rest of the world. Whether faith in the dollar will withstand unprecedented debt spending and a shaky world economy, however, is a question yet to be answered.

Scientists have discovered how to �read� minds by scanning brain activity and reproducing images of what people are seeing � or even remembering.

Researchers have been able to convert into crude video footage the brain activity stimulated by what a person is watching or recalling.

The breakthrough raises the prospect of significant benefits, such as allowing people who are unable to move or speak to communicate via visualisation of their thoughts; recording people�s dreams; or allowing police to identify criminals by recalling the memories of a witness.

However, it could also herald a new Big Brother era, similar to that envisaged in the Hollywood film Minority Report, in which an individual�s private thoughts can be readily accessed by the authorities.

Jack Gallant and Shinji Nishimoto, two neurologists from the University of California, Berkeley, last year managed to correlate activity in the brain�s visual cortex with static images seen by the person. Last week they went one step further by revealing that it is possible to �decode� signals generated in the brain by moving scenes.

In an experiment which has yet to be peer reviewed, Gallant and Nishimoto, using functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) technology, scanned the brains of two patients as they watched videos.

A computer programme was used to search for links between the configuration of shapes, colours and movements in the videos, and patterns of activity in the patients� visual cortex.

It was later fed more than 200 days� worth of YouTube internet clips and asked to predict which areas of the brain the clips would stimulate if people were watching them.

Finally, the software was used to monitor the two patients� brains as they watched a new film and to reproduce what they were seeing based on their neural activity alone.

Remarkably, the computer programme was able to display continuous footage of the films they were watching � albeit with blurred images.

In one scene which featured the actor Steve Martin wearing a white shirt, the software recreated his rough shape and white torso but missed other details, such as his facial features.

Another scene, showing a plane flying towards the camera against a city skyline, was less successfully reproduced. The computer recreated the image of the skyline but omitted the plane altogether.

�Some scenes decode better than others,� said Gallant. �We can decode talking heads really well. But a camera panning quickly across a scene confuses the algorithm.

�You can use a device like this to do some pretty cool things. At the moment when you see something and want to describe it to someone you have to use words or draw it and it doesn�t work very well.

�You could use this technology to transmit the image to someone. It might be useful for artists or to allow you to recover an eyewitness�s memory of a crime.�

Such technology may not be confined to the here and now. Scientists at University College London have conducted separate tests that detect, with an accuracy of about 50%, memories recalled by patients.

The discoveries come amid a flurry of developments in the field of brain science. Researchers have also used scanning technology to measure academic ability, detect early signs of Alzheimer�s and other degenerative conditions, and even predict the decision a person is about to make before they are conscious of making it.

Such developments may have controversial ramifications. In Britain, fMRI scanning technology has been sold to multinational companies, such as Unilever and McDonald�s, enabling them to see how we subconsciously react to brands.

In America, security agencies are researching the use of brain scanners for interrogating prisoners, and Lockheed Martin, the US defence contractor, is reported to have studied the possibility of scanning brains at a distance.

This would allow an individual�s thoughts and anxieties to be examined without their knowledge in sensitive locations such as airports.

Russell Foster, a neuroscientist at Oxford University, said rapid advances in the field were throwing up ethical dilemmas.

�It�s absolutely critical for scientists to inform the public about what we are doing so they can engage in the debate about how this knowledge should be used,� he said.

�It�s the age-old problem: knowledge is power and it can be used for both good and evil.�

Today, the MSM are not talking about this case any more. Yesterday, they wanted us to believe that Joseph Moshe was a nutcase and a terrorist, arrested for threatening to bomb the White House. Interesting detail about his arrest (the �Westwood standoff�) was that he seemed to be immune to the 5 cans of tear gas and 5 gallons of law-enforcement grade pepper spray they pumped into his face. He very calmly remained in his car, as the video footage of his arrest shows.

Professor Moshe had called into a live radio show by Dr. A. True Ott, broadcast on Republic Broadcasting claiming to be a microbiologist who wanted to supply evidence to a States Attorney regarding tainted H1N1 Swine flu vaccines being produced by Baxter BioPharma Solutions. He said that Baxter�s Ukrainian lab was in fact producing a bioweapon disguised as a vaccine. He claimed that the vaccine contained an adjuvant (additive) designed to weaken the immune system, and replicated RNA from the virus responsible for the 1918 pandemic Spanish flu, causing global sickness and mass death.

Sources tell us that Bar-Joseph Moshe made no threat against the President or the White House. He did not mention any bomb or attack. He then proceeded to inform the White House he intended to go public with this information. When he noticed men in suits in front of his house and feared that the FBI was about to detain him, he packed some belongings into his car and, him being a dual Israeli citizen, tried to reach the Israeli consulate located in close proximity to the federal building where the standoff took place. The FBI and the bomb squad prevented him from reaching it. Who is this man? His profile on biomedexperts.com says he is a plant disease expert with many publications on his name involving the genetic manipulation of virii. Joseph Moshe was soon after his arrest sent or let go to Israel. Nothing has been heard from him since. The Secret Service was not the agency involved in the surveillance of Moshe at his home in California. This was done by the FBI, who had orders to detain or arrest him. Mounted on top of a large black vehicle used in his arrest was a microwave weapon that possibly damaged the electronics in Moshe�s car as well as any communication devices he had which might have been used to contact the media or others who could help him.

Moshe did not suffer the same effects of the gas and pepper spray that others would have because he had built up an immunity to such weapons as a by-product of his Mossad training. Moshe was not handcuffed because he was not placed under arrest.

Does this sound like an insane conspiracy theory? Sure it does. Due to the scarcity and anonymity of the sources we would dismiss it as exactly that, if it weren�t for some uncomfortable facts: Baxter Pharmaceutical has been caught, red-handed, in spreading a live, genetically engineered H5N1 Bird flu vaccine as a lethal biological weapon all over the world, destined to be used for human vaccinations. This happened just a few months ago. And only luck prevented a global catastrophe of epic proportions.

Baxter International Inc. had mixed live, genetically engineered avian flue viruses in vaccine material shipped to 18 countries. Only by sheer luck, a Czech laboratory decided to test the vaccine on a dozen ferrets, which all died in days. The World Health Organization was notified and catastrophe was averted. This was clearly a deliberate act on Baxter�s part, because they adhere to BS3, bio-safety level three. Baxter admitted a �mistake�. Such monumental screwups are totally impossible at that level. Many safety systems would have needed to be sabotaged, many key personell would have needed to be bribed. It simply can�t be done without direction from the inside. They did not send out the wrong vial � they produced dozens of gallons of biological-weapon agent (genetically engineered live H5N1 / Bird flu virus), then sent it out as a �vaccine�.

Slaves are needed to produce that luxury, but 500 million will do just fine. But how does one go about killing off most of the world?

�Vaccinating� the planet with a bioweapon with near-100% mortality would do the trick. Baxter would provide both the bioweapon as well as the vaccine against it to �civilized� Western peoples. Result: We can plunder Africa, we have no more competition from SE Asia, the oil is for our taking and only Western and perhaps Chinese sheeple remain.

The attempted murder took place Aug. 26th. I find it reprehensible that it took two month to notify the public of the event. Two months. It also took two months to make the changes to the security by adding more video cameras. It seems to me like Harvard knows more about the attempt, maybe even suspects a person of interest that the school might want to protect. Why wouldn't the city police investigate. Why would the school get to choose who investigates in the case of a crime like attempted murder and assault? Police would automatically take over.

Reminds me of the Lindbergh kidnapping case. Col. Lindbergh took over the investigation and called all of the shots. That should never have happened either.

Why should the school be allowed to call the shots? Again, we have a very strange case of the attempted murder of 6 microbiologists.

Experts Discount 'Accident' In Harvard Coffee Poisoning

A leading toxicologist believes the chances are slim that six lab workers at Harvard University Medical School were poisoned by accident.

"An accident? Sodium azide is a poison," said David M. Benjamin, a toxicologist and Chestnut Hill-based clinical pharmacologist. "Absolutely not."

The Herald reported yesterday that six scientists and students at the New Research Building in Boston's Longwood Medical area were mysteriously poisoned after drinking from a communal, single-serve coffee machine on the eighth floor near their pathology lab on Aug. 26. Seconds later all six reported symptoms including dizziness and low blood pressure and were taken to Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center for treatment.

"Could it have gotten in the coffee machine inadvertantly? Absolutely not," Benjamin said of the compound, an odorless white solid used in labs as a preservative. "It could be considered an attempted murder or assault."

Harvard did not make the poisoning public until after repeated inquiries from the Herald. The university continued to skirt questions yesterday, with a spokesman referring inquiries to Harvard police, and the police referring questions back to the spokesman.

"This is crazy," said a Harvard Medical School researcher who did not want to be identified. "I don't know why it would take two months to announce this."

Although he is not privy to the investigation, medical school spokesman David Cameron said, "What I know at this point in time is that all options and potential avenues for how this could have happened are being very thoroughly and intensely investigated."

The same substance was used in a string of coffee and tea poisoning incidents in Japan a decade ago. In one incident, the chief internist of a Kyoto hospital was found guilty of lacing the green tea ingested by seven fellow doctors with sodium azide.

ADHD Drug May Cause Suicidal Thoughts

A new report from Australia is raising alarm about potentially dangerous side effects of drugs used to treat ADHD. The report states that 30 children have had suicidal thoughts (some attempting suicide), while taking drugs for Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), causing the National Health and Medical Research Council in Australia to upgrade the guidelines for prescribing ADHD drugs, such as Ritalin. A 7-year-old boy taking Ritalin attempted suicide, and an 8-year-old had hallucinations that spiders were crawling all over him, reports "The Sydney Morning Herald." The same "Herald" article reported that serious reactions from ADHD drugs had doubled within three years in Australia.

ADHD drugs are closely regulated in the United States, but are widely prescribed for kids. Ritalin (methylphenidate), Adderall (amphetamine), and other drugs used to treat ADHD are stimulants, which are thought to reduce hyperactivity and help children focus, according to the National Institutes of Mental Health (NIMH). They come with risks, however -- and that�s where the controversy ensues. Known side effects for kids include decreased appetite, problems falling asleep, tics and dampened emotional reactions (often called a "flat" feeling). Since these drugs are stimulants, there are also cardiovascular risks. For some kids, many pediatricians recommend that you have an EKG for your child before he or she takes one of these drugs.

Beginning in 2007, the FDA required warnings about side effects on ADHD medications. In fact, risk of suicide is a stated side-effect of the non-stimulant drug atomoxetine (Strattera). Studies have shown that kids and teens who take this drug are more likely to think about suicide than kids and teens who also have ADHD, but don�t take the drug, the NIMH reports. The NIMH cautions that children taking this drug should be very closely monitored.

The concern appears to be worldwide. A recent report from the Center for Paediatric Pharmacy Research in London, published in the November 2009 issue of "Drug Safety," looked at almost 19,000 kids and teens who took stimulants and/or atomoxetine from 1993 to 2006. While the risk of sudden death (such as from cardiac issues) was low, they did see an increased suicide risk. However, the study authors also pointed out that other conditions, like depression, sometimes co-exist with ADHD, so they couldn�t rule those out as contributing factors.

The suicide risk from any ADHD drug is rare, says psychiatrist Ned Hallowell, M.D., founder of the Hallowell Centers in New York and Boston and author of "Delivered From Distraction: Getting the Most Out of Life With Attention Deficit Disorder" (2005). �If a drug changes your child�s personality in any way, you stop it. Otherwise, these drugs are safe when used properly,� he says. Hallowell appears to have the balance of the current science on his side, but there are some dissenting voices, such as Ithaca psychiatrist Peter Breggin, M.D., author of "Medication Madness" (2008) and the leading critic of the use of psychiatric drugs in children. �Initially, these drugs make children easier to manage in a classroom,� Breggin says. But they reduce spontaneity, he adds, which can feel like depression for a kid. He said that he sees this all the time and that, �It can be very hard to monitor.�

Hallowell doesn�t agree. He does, however, feel that parents and doctors should closely monitor children on ADHD drugs. And, given that many pediatricians aren�t trained to deal with ADHD, he also recommends seeing a child psychiatrist or someone with specific training in treating ADHD.

Scientists first to trap light and sound vibrations together in nanocrystal

Researchers at the California Institute of Technology have created a nanoscale crystal device that, for the first time, allows scientists to confine both light and sound vibrations in the same tiny space.

"This is a whole new concept," notes Oskar Painter, associate professor of applied physics at Caltech. Painter is the principal investigator on the paper describing the work, which was published this week in the online edition of the journal Nature. "People have known how to manipulate light, and they've known how to manipulate sound. But they hadn't realized that we can manipulate both at the same time, and that the waves will interact very strongly within this single structure."

Indeed, Painter points out, the interactions between sound and light in this device�dubbed an optomechanical crystal�can result in mechanical vibrations with frequencies as high as tens of gigahertz, or 10 billion cycles per second. Being able to achieve such frequencies, he explains, gives these devices the ability to send large amounts of information, and opens up a wide array of potential applications�everything from lightwave communication systems to biosensors capable of detecting (or weighing) a single macromolecule. It could also, Painter says, be used as a research tool by scientists studying nanomechanics. "These structures would give a mass sensitivity that would rival conventional nanoelectromechanical systems because light in these structures is more sensitive to motion than a conventional electrical system is."

"And all of this," he adds, "can be done on a silicon microchip."

Optomechanical crystals focus on the most basic units�or quanta�of light and sound. (These are called photons and phonons, respectively.) As Painter notes, there has been a rich history of research into both photonic and phononic crystals, which use tiny energy traps called bandgaps to capture quanta of light or sound within their structures.

What hadn't been done before was to put those two types of crystals together and see what they are capable of doing. That is what the Caltech team has done.

"We now have the ability to manipulate sound and light in the same nanoplatform, and are able to interconvert energy between the two systems," says Painter. "And we can engineer these in nearly limitless ways."

The volume in which the light and sound are simultaneously confined is more than 100,000 times smaller than that of a human cell, notes Caltech graduate student Matt Eichenfield, the paper's first author. "This does two things," he says. "First, the interactions of the light and sound get stronger as the volume to which they are confined decreases. Second, the amount of mass that has to move to create the sound wave gets smaller as the volume decreases. We made the volume in which the light and sound live so small that the mass that vibrates to make the sound is about ten times less than a trillionth of a gram."

Eichenfield points out that, in addition to measuring high-frequency sound waves, the team demonstrated that it's actually possible to produce these waves using only light. "We can now convert light waves into microwave-frequency sound waves on the surface of a silicon microchip," he says.

These sound waves, he adds, are analogous to the light waves of a laser. "The way we have designed the system makes it possible to use these sound waves by routing them around on the chip, and making them interact with other on-chip systems. And, of course, we can then detect all these interactions again by using the light. Essentially, optomechanical crystals provide a whole new on-chip architecture in which light can generate, interact with, and detect high-frequency sound waves."

These optomechanical crystals were created as an offshoot of previous work done by Painter and colleagues on a nanoscale "zipper cavity," in which the mechanical properties of light and its interactions with motion were strengthened and enhanced.

Like the zipper cavity, optomechanical crystals trap light; the difference is that the crystals trap�and intensify�sound waves, as well. Similarly, while the zipper cavities worked by funneling the light into the gap between two nanobeams�allowing the researchers to detect the beams' motion relative to one another�optomechanical crystals work on an even tinier scale, trapping both light and sound within a single nanobeam.

"Here we can actually see very small vibrations of sound trapped well inside a single 'string,' using the light trapped inside that string," says Eichenfield. "Importantly, although the method of sensing the motion is very different, we didn't lose the exquisite sensitivity to motion that the zipper had. We were able to keep the sensitivity to motion high while making another huge leap down in mass."

"As a technology, optomechanical crystals provide a platform on which to create planar circuits of sound and light," says Kerry Vahala, the Ted and Ginger Jenkins Professor of Information Science and Technology and professor of applied physics, and coauthor on the Nature paper. "These circuits can include an array of functions for generation, detection, and control. Moreover," he says, "optomechanical crystal structures are fabricated using materials and tools that are similar to those found in the semiconductor and photonics industries. Collectively, this means that phonons have joined photons and electrons as possible ways to manipulate and process information on a chip."

And these information-processing possibilities are well within reach, notes Painter. "It's not one plus one equals two, but one plus one equals ten in terms of what you can do with these things. All of these applications are much closer than they were before."

"This novel approach to bringing both light and sound together and letting them play off of each other exemplifies the forward-thinking work being done by the Engineering and Applied Science (EAS) division," says Ares Rosakis, chair of EAS and Theodore von K�rm�n Professor of Aeronautics and Mechanical Engineering at Caltech.

A major international health study has shown that excessive mobile phone use can be linked to four different kinds of cancer.

The research, which has taken 10 years and cost �20million, found that heavy mobile users suffered up to 50 per cent more tumours.

Scientists now say there is a "significantly increased risk" of people developing three different kinds of brain tumour and one of the salivary gland. News of the findings, which are to be published within the next eight weeks, has led to calls for mobiles to carry health warnings.

Alasdair Philips, of campaign group Powerwatch, said: "Mobile companies hide the figures on how much radiation they give off in the back of manuals.

"But modern phones give out 217 electromagnetic pulses every minute into your head. Primary school children should not have them, secondary school children should be encouraged to text rather than call, and males should not keep them in a pocket because they drastically affect fertility."

The research has been done by the Interphone project, funded by the World Health Organisation and mobile phone companies.

Previous studies have been inconclusive, but Interphone draws together the most recent research from 13 countries and involved interviewing 12,800 people.

Dr Elisabeth Cardis, head of the study, said: "I am globally in agreement with the idea of restricting the use by children, though I would not go as far as banning mobiles."

The Department of Health has not updated its guidance in four years, saying only children should be "discouraged" from too many calls.

Studies of people who have been using them for 10 years or more are coming out, showing worrying trends that heavy users are more likely to get brain tumours, so try to restrict calls or use hands-free.

Australia's children are advised to use mobiles only in "extreme emergencies" and to turn them off at night.

Israel's government discourages the use of mobiles on public transport. And in Germany, low-emission phones have a "blue angel" mark, making it easier to choose safer models.

BOSTON -- Harvard University Medical School will increase security and install new video cameras at its laboratories this week as police work to determine whether six people were intentionally poisoned at a research building.

The scientists and students fell ill on Aug. 26 after consuming a potentially lethal chemical that was present in their coffee, according to an internal memo sent to medical school students on Friday. All six people had used a single-serve coffee machine near their pathology lab at Harvard�s New Research Building to prepare the coffee, and all later reported dizziness and low blood pressure.

Testing revealed the presence of sodium azide, a common preservative, in the coffee, the memo said. Sodium azide is an odorless white solid, according to the Centers for Disease Control Web site.

One person became unconscious. All six were taken to Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center for treatment. None suffered long-term consequences from the poisoning.

The university said it does not know if the poisoning was deliberate or accidental.

�While we do not yet know how the incident occurred, we have recently learned that sodium azide . . . was present in the coffee consumed by the six employees,� the memo reads.

Swallowing the chemical can cause rapid breathing, dizziness and nausea, according to the CDC.

The federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration and the Boston Public Health Commission are investigating.

�We are in the process of installing additional security cameras throughout our buildings, and we are strengthening the security systems that manage access to the laboratories during both normal business hours and off hours,� the Harvard memo said.

A British nuclear expert has fallen to his death from the 17th floor of the United Nations offices in Vienna.

The 47-year-old man died after falling more than 120ft to the bottom of a stairwell. He has not been named.

He worked for the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty Organization, an international agency charged with uncovering illicit nuclear tests.

A UN spokesman in the Austrian capital said there were no "suspicious circumstances" surrounding the man's death.

Police said no other person was believed to have been involved. No suicide note has been found.

Four months ago another UN worker also believed to be British fell from a similar height in the same building, it has been reported.

The latest incident happened on Tuesday as the United States, France, Russia and Iran held talks nearby about Tehran's nuclear programme.

The talks were hosted by the head of the International Atomic Energy Authority Mohamed ElBaradei, who said afterwards they had been extremely positive.

Iran has been given until Friday to decide whether to sign up to a treaty that would stop it producing enriched uranium with a view to making nuclear weapons.

Under the terms of the deal it would ship about 75% of its current enriched uranium store to Russia and France before the end of this year.

Experts in the two countries will then convert it into fuel for a reactor in Iran producing medical isotopes.

Tehran denies it has been trying to develop nuclear weapons. It insists it has been stockpiling enriched uranium for a future network of nuclear power stations.

Pesticides exposure linked to suicidal thoughts

A new study in China has found that people with higher levels of pesticide exposure are more likely to have suicidal thoughts. The study was carried out by Dr Robert Stewart from the Institute of Psychiatry at King's College London together with scientists from Tongde Hospital Zhejiang Province.

The agricultural pesticides commonly used in China are organophosphates which are in wide use in many lower income countries but have been banned in many Western nations. It is well known that they are very dangerous if ingested as an overdose but there is also biological evidence that chronic low-grade exposure to these chemicals, which are very easily absorbed into the body through the skin and lungs, may have adverse effects on mental health. This study is the first epidemiological evidence to suggest possible effects on suicidal thoughts.

The study was carried out in central/coastal China, a relatively wealthy area with a rapidly developing economy. In a very large survey of mental health in rural community residents, participants were also asked about how they stored pesticides. The study found that people who stored pesticides at home, i.e. those with more exposure, were more likely to report recent suicidal thoughts. Supporting this, the survey also found suicidal thoughts to be associated with how easily accessible these pesticides were in the home and that the geographic areas with highest home storage of pesticides also had highest levels of suicidal thoughts in their populations.

Given the high level of pesticide exposure and the high suicide risk in rural China, clarification of the causal mechanisms underlying this association and the development of appropriate interventions should be priorities for public health and health policy.

Dr Robert Stewart comments: 'Organophosphate pesticides are widely used around the world although are banned in many countries because of their risk to health. They are particularly lethal chemicals when taken in overdose and are a cause of many suicides worldwide. Our research findings that suggest that higher exposure to these chemicals might actually increase the risk of suicidal thoughts provides further support for calls for tighter international restrictions on agricultural pesticide availability and use.'

Dr Jianmin Zhang, Associate Chief Psychiatrist, Tongde Hospital of Zhejiang Province, and Vice Director, Zhejiang Office of Mental Health, China added: 'The findings of this study suggested potential causal links and might partially account for the much higher incidence of suicide in rural than urban areas of China. However, further studies particularly with more precisely defined and assessed exposure are critically needed, as awareness of safer access to pesticides is important both to policy-makers and pesticide users.'
