The characters of the animated series become superheroes in this adventure, which is always fun for kids and adults. Children will probably enjoy it more than adults due to the excruciatingly child friendly atmosphere of the game. However, some grown-ups might give it a go just to try out the various super powers each hero possesses.

Your mission is to vanquish evil and thus save the boring grown up world from destruction. How does one do that? Well, by working together of course, just like best friends should! The power of friendship is demonstrated in the game by allowing the player to switch between two characters during gameplay and use their individual super powers to solve puzzles, defeat bosses and do anything to complete the level.

The three chapters of the story take you from the happy land of Kikoriki to the boring grey Megapolis. Each chapter tells a different story and allows you to play various characters. The game has brightly colored, simple and yet well drawn cartoon style graphics with smooth animation. The controls might take a bit of getting used to, the joystick in particular. I do like the soundtrack, which reminded me of the music from good old cartoons like Tom & Jerry. Kikoriki will only set you back $1, unless you don’t really love your children that much, in which case you can opt for the lite version. Either way, the game will help keep your kids preoccupied and will not only help them learn about friendship and growing up, but will also teach them that if you touch purple butterflies it will make you sneeze stars.

The fact that you start the game with just a little baby dragon that jumps can be disappointing, at first. However, as you progress through the 25 levels of the game, learning new skills, collecting artifacts and battling enemies, you will see the little guy go through three stages of evolution. With every new form the dragon grows, acquiring fire breathing, flying, climbing and head bashing abilities, not to mention a mean look.

The dragon’s natural abilities are enhanced with the always popular temporary perks such as invulnerability, increased speed, regeneration and many more. They will be of great help on the quest to destroy the Dark Lord’s minions and defeat the legendary vampire that is Dracula. Gamers who find the adventure to be unfulfilling can enjoy some mini games that are unlocked during gameplay.

Controls might take a couple of deaths to get used to and actually made me play with my tongue out, which I have not done in a while. The menu is very well thought through, easy to navigate and has all the information on game controls, settings, stats and sharing options. Thanks to the simple yet visually pleasing and familiar graphics, the gameplay is smooth. Not a fan of the soundtrack though, which sounds like old Japanese game techno music. For only $1 Dragon and Dracula has a lot to offer with tricky levels, epic boss fights, addictive mini games and main character customizations. If you are just looking for a fun adventure or want to prove yourself on a global scale, this is the bargain to go for.

The aim of the game is to complete quests, gain experience, improve skills and advance your character to higher levels. Just like in a proper MMORPG on PC you get to battle creatures and fellow players. You do this by drawing symbols from “The Book of Curses” and thus casting various spells on your enemies or blessings to help fellow guild members. Aside from experience, you also get money and other items, which can be used for trade later.

Even though the game takes up quite a lot of space, compared to other android games, as well as includes an impressive virtual world that has a bunch of things to do, complete with a detailed character profile, skillset and inventory, the developer still managed to make it run smoothly even on slower android devices. The graphics had to suffer for that a bit but I am sure this is just a temporary setback, which is fully compensated by all the good things the game has to offer.

The music and sound effects create an adventurous atmosphere filled with suspense. Make the gameplay feel just right by visiting the camera and multiplayer settings in the in-game menu. Even though the game has a lot to offer, Maiden Wars is still free to download and has no annoying ads whatsoever. Then again, it is in Beta so the creators are counting on players to help improve the game by reporting small bugs and commenting on gameplay. So go ahead and wean yourself from WOW to MW, which will allow you to be a more mobile and perhaps a bit more social gamer.

Once again, the title of the game explains the main purpose really well. The metal ball is used to kill those pesky insects that can’t seem to leave your paper alone. If you are a fan of games that involve a lot of phone tilting, this one can become your new favorite pass time. The holes in the paper do not really do anything besides slowing down the ball, but you should try to avoid them anyway since they might prevent you from collecting enough points to advance to the next level.

Afterwards, when the thirst for more levels becomes unbearable you can get yourself the full version with 36 levels in four sets, which will only set you back one dollar.

GOMP has the always-popular hand drawn, paper style graphics with colorfully drawn bugs and smooth animation. All bugs ranging from mosquitoes and flies to roaches and ants die with a satisfying squishing sound, leaving only a disgusting stain of beetle juice behind them. Different bugs are worth different amounts of points, the sum of which will decide the amount of stars you are awarded. The basic menu is easily accessible by pressing your phone’s menu button. So whether you think this might be a fun waste of time for yourself or a good way to keep your kid busy, head over to Google Play and become one of the first few hundred people to try it out.

As you have probably guessed the point of the game is to make sure none of the cheese blocks fall over the edge. Actually, you are allowed to drop or destroy two of them, the third one will trigger a replay of the level if dropped. The less cheese blocks you lose the more points you get, obviously. The grey blocks that look like mice trapped in the Phantom Zone resembling that Superman villain are to be tapped and popped.

There are four levels of difficulty ranging from Kids to Insane, the latter being some sort of mouse hell. Each level has its own theme and introduces new varieties of blocks such as ice blocks that freeze time, unmovable and indestructible blocks as well as rainbow blocks which play the role of roulette. This keeps the game interesting and challenging throughout. St. Patrick’s Day levels are the latest addition and more levels are Coming Soon.

The graphics are simple so there is no lag even on slower android phones and yet detailed, creative, colorful and all in all pleasant to the eye so the game can be enjoyed on all devices. The music reflects the nature of the game and the sounds work very well with the actions you perform. These can of course be disabled either from the main menu or the in-game menu, both of which are very well thought through and are therefore easy to navigate and provide all the information and options you might require.
