Lunchbreak Tactics takes some inspiration from games like Hearthstone and Super Auto Pets, but it’s built around asynchronous autobattler gameplay. You put your squad together, figure out some ridiculous synergies, and then let the battles play out against other players.

Your goal in Lunchbreak Tactics is to become the Ultimate Slacker of the Month

Also known as the Employee of the Month ultimate card master. At the beginning of every run, you pick one Hero and two Clans. Your Hero comes with a passive power that can shape your entire strategy, while your two chosen Clans determine which cards you’ll actually be able to use.

Then, you spend gold to buy and upgrade units, freeze cards you absolutely don’t want to lose, and throw items onto your team. The game has twelve rounds in each run.

Lunchbreak Tactics takes ordinary supermarket products and turns them into actual units. Toilet paper? Weapon. Slow cooker? Also a weapon. Basically, if it’s sitting on a shelf at Anymart, there’s a chance it can be dragged into battle. These living versions of common household and store items also come with all sorts of strange synergies.

What all can you do in Fashion Mall Story?

You can create completely new garments by picking different shapes and accent features. Then put those creations on display in your stores and watch customers come running in. It’s not just clothing stores either. You can bring in things like nail bars and perfume stores.

There’s also a more personal side to it. When customers can’t figure out what the heck they should wear, you can step in and suggest outfits based on your own sense of style. If you put together something they really like, they might even agree to model for your stores. From there, you can put your best outfits on the runway and show them off.

And then there’s the social media stuff. Once your mall starts becoming a hot topic online, a charismatic store assistant can challenge you to a fashion battle. Win those battles, and you can potentially pioneer an entirely new genre of clothing.

Fashion Mall Story sticks specifically to fashion, boutiques, apparel, client trends and making the mall look good. You deal with custom clothing, tenants and the overall flow and appearance of the mall rather than trying to manage every possible type of business.

You can play with the layouts, deciding which shop goes best next to which. Putting themed facilities together often helps. For instance, a pet store and outdoor store go closer to natural clothing, while perfume stores and clocks could sit closer to cool clothing. You can also make separate themed areas with your own walkways, like using cute flooring for quirky clothing areas and wooden flooring for everyday clothing.

You get case files from FDI field agents and have to investigate everything from murders and missing people to cyber-attacks. You spend your time going through CCTV footage, reading witness statements, checking documents, searching databases, and connecting pieces of information.

And you get a bunch of software to help with all that. There’s the Video and Photo Analyzer, Citizen and Vehicle Database, ChemScan, Notepad, and a fully functional computer console. You need to fact-check information, identify killers, search databases, evaluate evidence, and connect clues together.

Just follow the evidence wherever it goes

Even when things get unsettling, you’re supposed to keep digging and see where the trail leads. You need to take notes too, because each case is its own mind-bending story that you slowly unravel. Also, don’t poke around in unauthorised areas without telling your superiors first.

First day at a new government job?

The Operator launched on PC in July 2024 and garnered positive reviews for its immersive 90s desktop interface and CSI-style mechanics. It’s a tight and focused techno-thriller narrative that builds mystery and paranoia without dragging.

Buttons Up! Idle Clicker Game is an incremental button-collecting game

Keep collecting more and more buttons and build up your little button operation. Alongside that, you also have to stop sneaky gnomes from stealing everything you’ve worked for.

You start off by tapping to collect your first buttons. You can then spend those buttons on buildings, unlock skills, and bring in Collectors who can automate the whole process. It’s the classic incremental loop of tap, collect, upgrade, repeat, and watch the numbers get bigger.

Gnomes are the villains in your peaceful business as they want ‘em buttons, too! The button-stealing gnome intruders can sneak into your stash and start stealing your hard-earned buttons. So, you’ll need to catch them before they get away by building turrets and setting traps.

There’s also a tech tree, skills, powerups, lasers, and the King’s Button. Unlocking them eventually lets you move into the second world, King’s Button, which comes with fresh challenges and content. The game also has achievements, new worlds and content updates.

A fast-paced, slightly bonkers auto-runner that you can play on the same device with a dear sweet friend. It’s palm-sweatingly good, and even better when you throw a friend into the mix.

The Escapists 2: Pocket Breakout – 4.4 Score On Google Play

A strategic game that’s all about getting out of a series of prisons. You can play on your own, but more importantly for this list, you can assemble a team of your friends, and have them go ‘I’m in’ in real time, which is a key part of the experience.

Badland – 3.8 Score On Google Play

The floaty physics platforming is alright when you’re playing on your own, but stick some friends around the same device and it takes on a brand new shape that’s hard to beat. You’re able to both co-op through the single player campaign, or turn on each other and shove everyone else into traps.

Tsuro – The Game of the Path – 4.5 Score On Google Play

A game about placing tiles and creating a path for your dragon to follow. It’s simple enough that anyone can pick it up and have a go, and it’s a great way to get everyone involved in some gaming fun. You can get up to eight players playing on one device, so it’s a good one if you’ve got a lot of people and one copy of the app.

Terraria – 4.5 Score On Google Play

What’s better than exploring a massive open world, fighting monsters, digging stuff up and using it to build a settlement? Why, doing it with your friends of course. You can all play on the same WiFi and have a jolly old time.

Bombsquad – 4.5 Score On Google Play

A collection of bomb-based mini-games that you can play with up to seven other people across WiFi. There’s even an additional app your friends can download to use as a controller on their own devices. Slick.

Wingspan – 4.6 Score On Google Play

Bird is the word in this ornithological card game. Wingspan lets you play with up to five budding bird watchers on one device, so it’s perfect for a board game night without the board.

BOKURA – 5.0 Score On Google Play

This game of teamwork doesn’t just have multiplayer, it’s essential to the experience. Communicate with your buddy and try to complete the levels as a team. You and the other player get an insight into different sides of the same world, so some means of communicating is a must, whether that’s a voice call, or sitting next to each other on the sofa.

DUAL! – 4.0 Score On Google Play

Oh, hey, it’s a game of Pong that you play on two different devices. It sounds ridiculous, and it basically is, but it’s also an awful lot of fun. It’s like playing tennis, without the grunting.

Among Us – 3.9 Score On Google Play

Among Us is an awful lot of fun when you play it online, but it’s even more fun when you play it in the same room as the people who could well be trying to con you. Or the people you’re trying to con. You get the idea.

Kingdom Two Crowns – 4.4 Score On Google Play

There can only be one monarch… well, unless you’re playing co-op. Play locally with split screen and work together to keep your 2D plane kingdom safe from the forces of evil. The game has controller support, so we’d recommend connecting a couple of Bluetooth controllers for the best experience.

Vampire Survivors – 4.3 Score On Google Play

We never pass up a chance to gush about Vampire Survivors, and on top of doing so much right, you can also local co-op with controllers. (And maybe link up to a bigger screen if you want a real retro-feeling session.)

The Tesla-inspired puzzle adventure launched on PC in September 2025 (the studio announced it in January 2024). It’s now launching on mobile on October 20th and later on PS4 and PS5 on November 19th.

The setting in The House of Tesla is Nikola Tesla’s abandoned Wardenclyffe facility. You spend a lot of time wandering through deserted rooms, old machinery and the remains of Tesla’s experiments with wireless electricity.

The House of Tesla: Definitive Edition on mobile has five chapters. The locations are inspired by real places and Tesla’s actual plans. You’ll be piecing together what happened at Wardenclyffe while messing around with a handheld prototype that can show you the flow of electricity and let you influence it.

So, progress in this game is less about just finding a key and more about studying the machinery, experimenting with electrical systems and figuring out how the weird prototype works.

The House of Tesla: Definitive Edition brings the most complete version of the game to mobile. The biggest change from the original edition is the final chapter, which has been completely overhauled. The devs rebuilt the climax from the ground up with new puzzles, new visuals and a different flow.

Winter Burrow is developed by Pine Creek Games and published by Noodlecake. It’s a single-player woodland survival game with 2D isometric hand-drawn ink-outline comic book style visuals. The game first launched on PC in November last year.

The protagonist needs a cosy house with knitted sweaters and pies

You play as a mouse returning home after spending time in the big city. Unfortunately, the childhood burrow is completely broken down, and your Aunt, who was supposed to be looking after the place, has gone missing too.

Your main job is to restore that childhood burrow into an actual home again. So, you head out into the frozen wilderness to forage through snowy forests, gather vital resources, craft tools and furniture. You can also knit warm clothing, bake pies, meet the locals, make new friends, and expand your survival handbook. Oh, and don’t forget to figure out what happened to your missing Aunt.

Winter Burrow lets you customise your character, decorate your burrow, and pick a path that suits how you actually want to play. There’s a recycling feature as well. You can get rid of items you don’t need, and if you’re lucky, you’ll get some materials back that you can use for something else.

There are two different play modes in Winter Burrow

Story Mode is there if you mainly want to relax and enjoy the story. Meanwhile, Challenge Mode makes things harder for more of a survival test. You can switch between the two modes while playing, so you’re not permanently locked into one choice.

The whole point of Toca Boca Jr Kitchen is to make increasingly questionable food and see what happens!

Toca Boca Jr Kitchen lets you experiment. Make a spaghetti smoothie or deep-fry a watermelon! You’ve got three characters to cook for, and each one has their own likes and dislikes. You can make your own recipes by combining ingredients, condiments and different cooking methods, with 24 available ingredients. The fridge has stuff ranging from oranges and broccoli to an actual octopus!

There are five different kitchen tools, including an oven, juicer and frying pan. And you can chop, sauté, fry, bake, juice things or just throw ingredients into whatever machine seems funniest at the time. You could boil a salad, juice a shrimp, or fry a pineapple.

The best part is feeding the characters and watching their reactions. They’ll use their facial expressions to show whether they’re into your creation or absolutely disgusted by it. And getting an exaggerated ew reaction is definitely part of the fun.

Toca Boca Jr Kitchen is created by Toca Boca, a digital toy and game studio that makes creative apps for children. The game also has a vegetarian mode, which you can switch on or off depending on which ingredients you want.

Toca Boca Jr Kitchen requires a Netflix membership, which comes ad-free and gives you unlimited access. If you have the subscription, get the game from the Google Play Store for your kid (or yourself!).

Blocknado: Retro Block Puzzle is created by Reto Apps. Blocks fall toward the little square core, and you drag them across the board, tap to rotate them, and flick them down. Fill an entire ring, and it collapses, which makes everything outside that ring fall inward. If that movement completes another ring, that one collapses too; the rest of the board can start tumbling in after it.

What happens when you really fling a piece? If you flick it hard enough, it slams into place and twists the floor a quarter turn, rotating the board 90 degrees on the side where you dropped the piece. So, if you’ve spent a while building up blocks along one side, you can suddenly have that whole wall arrive at the bottom.

There’s also a difference between flinging a piece and just letting it settle. If you simply let it drop into place, there isn’t enough momentum to rotate the floor. Hence, you can actually build up one side for a bit before deliberately causing a rotation.

You can also get rid of unwanted pieces by flinging them to the left or right, or dropping them down into a gap, although doing that costs you some points. So, you’re thinking about momentum and when to rotate the floor.

Blocknado: Retro Block Puzzle has different modes

It has a Classic mode that’s endless, scored, and gets faster every few minutes. The top ten scores in the world are displayed on the home screen. Then there’s Puzzle mode, which has authored levels split into four difficulty bands: Easy, Medium, Hard and Wild. You get one or two stars for filling all the goal blocks, while getting three stars requires an identical match.

Blocknado: Retro Block Puzzle is now available on the Google Play Store. It’s free; you can play it offline and an in-app purchase that removes ads permanently.
