1960's Tama Royal Star drumset in Blue Satin Flame

Vintage (1960's) Royal Star drumset. I believe this was the Tama drum company before Tama was Tama. Sizes are 14x20, 8x12, 9x13, 16x16 and 5x14 (8 lug) Astro brand metal snare. I believe the Astro snare is of the same period. This is a used, well played kit in need of cleaning, new heads and some TLC. The finish is a blue satin flame wrap. Wrap has scuffs, some of the wrap is also cracked on some of the floor tom lugs, near the bearing edge of the bass and all have some seam lifting. The interiors are grey, except for the interior of the bass which appears to have been painted black. Snare is all there but needs a good polishing and a new head. If you are looking for a collector quality kit, this is not the kit for you. With some elbow grease, this can be a really cool kit. The hardware set came with the Royal Star kit. The snare stand is a later Tama stand (most likely 1980's). Hardware needs TLC, cleaning, a wing nut on one of the straight stands, the hi-hat needs some work, polishing, light surface rust. Chrome lightly pitted throughout. The price is $275 (Firm) plus $85 shipping.

2010 Yamaha Recording Custom Drums for TRADE

WHAT I HAVE: Hello...I have a 2010 Yamaha Recording Custom set in cherry stain that is in MINT condition (almost unplayed). Sizes are as follows: 14x22 bass, 10x7.5, 12x8, 14x12 (suspended floor tom) and 4x14 Yamaha Maple Custom Snare (early 2000's model). The suspended tom stand is a bit older, but in excellent condition. I have the original Yamaha heads and two other heads I swapped out. I will include all of them. I will also include a long tom ball mount. This kit can be mistaken for new. Also is a brand new Aquarian Superkick II bass kick side head. WHAT I WANT: I am looking for a 1980's Gretsch lacquer kit in fusion sizes with a matching snare. Bass can be either 16x20 or 16x22. Smaller fusion size toms and either a 14x14 or 16x16 floor tom with legs. Set must be in excellent condition. I am not looking for anything else. This is a custom made drum set with Keller shells. The set was put together by a retired worker from the Spaun drum set company. My son bought it directly from him 6 years ago so it has only had one owner. This set has been taken care of in a smoke free home. It is in good condition with some signs of cosmetic wear. The set measures: Base Drum: 24” x 18” Tom #1: 10” x 10” Tom #2: 12” x 12” Tom #3: 14” x 14” Tom #4: 16”x 16” The deeper toms have very full tones and have always sounded great live or in the studio. These drums have a gorgeous green stained finish with gold hardware and rims which make it stand out anywhere you take it. I am also including 3 pieces of Tama hardware. A stand which he used to hold the 14” and 16” toms and had no problems with stability or movement, another tom stand and a clamp. 20x14 bass, 14x14 FT, 12x9 RT, 14x5 Brass Powertone snare. I bought this set years ago from the original owner who ordered an easy to set up, light kit. It's Grey Ripple. Wrap is about as mint as it get's. Rare (for era) BT and knobby hardware, (except snare, BB's) The 12 was the only modded drum. That is, converted. NOT inhouse. This was a factory special order mod. Bass has corresponding clip mount hardware with no extra holes. Paper tags mint and numbers VERY close. Fold out spurs on bass. Original heads. Wrap mint. Lugs clean. Other hardware rusty.
