Rolling Roadshow Posters

noreply@blogger.com (Drunk Park) — Wed, 11 Aug 2010 02:45:00 +1000

I was just checking out the Apple Trailers site & was immediately drawn to these amazingly awesome posters by Olly Moss. Slightly Saul Bass inspired, conceptually perfect & visually stunning. So refreshing to see these instead of the usual uber-photoshopped hollywood rubbish. They're to promote the Rolling Roadshow 'We are all Workers' film season. They're screening films in locations where they where set or shot. Such a good idea, I'd love to hit one up! More of Olly Moss here: www.ollymoss.com & info on the Rolling Roadshow here: www.rollingroadshow.com

Good friend of Drunk Park, musical nutbag & all round nice guy Mr. Mike Monday, is writing one track per week for 10 weeks & giving it away for free! Get on it, some amazingly quirky & tasty musical treats to be had. Here's what he has to say... "I write electronic music. It sounds a bit like Prince getting drunk with Mr Scruff in Royksopps house. And every Monday from July 19th until September 20th 2010 I'm releasing a new track for free. That's 10 free tracks in 10 weeks." Get your free music here!: www.mikemonday.com

Stumbled across the amazing instrumental hip-hop/electro jams from Colorado based producer 'Pretty Lights'. He's giving all his albums away for donations of your choice/free on his website. His beats are so damn good, hit it up! www.prettylightsmusic.com

In other news, photoshop just glitched out on me & provided some rather interesting results. I quickly took a screen grab before it went away (below).

A trip to Berlin & another masterpiece vid from BLU

noreply@blogger.com (Drunk Park) — Thu, 29 Jul 2010 00:20:00 +1000

I was in Berlin a couple of weeks ago & stumbled across a massive piece by Italian artist Blu. It covered not one but two entire blocks of flats & depicts the East/West Berlin divide. I took a few snaps, see below.

Also, here's his latest stop frame street art animation. Yet again, all I have to say is wow.

Unicorn - the new white meat.

noreply@blogger.com (Drunk Park) — Thu, 24 Jun 2010 21:18:00 +1000

Ha, nom nom - Taken from Think Geek.com...

"Unicorns, as we all know, frolic all over the world, pooping rainbows and marshmallows wherever they go. What you don't know is that when unicorns reach the end of their lifespan, they are drawn to County Meath, Ireland. The Sisters at Radiant Farms have dedicated their lives to nursing these elegant creatures through their final days. Taking a cue from the Kobe beef industry, they massage each unicorn's coat with Guinness daily and fatten them on a diet comprised entirely of candy corn.

As the unicorn ages, its meat becomes fatty and marbled and the living bone in the horn loses density in a process much like osteoporosis. The horn's outer layer of keratin begins to develop a flavor very similar to candied almonds. Blending the crushed unicorn horn into the meat adds delightful, crispy flavor notes in each bite. We are confident you will find a world of bewilderment in every mouthful of scrumptious unicorn meat."

Ibiza Voice - The role of art in the dance music industry

noreply@blogger.com (Drunk Park) — Thu, 8 Apr 2010 00:37:00 +1000

I just got sent an article posted in the 'Ibiza Voice' about the role of art in the dance music industry. They spoke to a number of key players in the scene including Drunk Park collaborator Mike Monday, about "the role of visuals in a predominantly audio-driven scene." Mike had some very nice words to say about the 'Songs Without Words' cover & accompanying EP artwork series. Cheers Mike! Full article here: http://www.ibiza-voice.com/story/news/2307
