Surf For Free Via Gprs On Pc Too

The following registry setting will prevent writing to USB in windows XP.
Expand HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Control Add a new key and name it "StorageDevicePolicies".
In the window on the right then create a new DWORD value and label it WriteProtect, give it a value of "1" and users can no longer write to USB drives.
Giving a value of "0" will allow to write again

How to Delete administrator Password without any software

Boot up with DOS and delete the sam.exe and sam.log files from Windows\system32\config in your hard drive. Now when you boot up in NT the password on your built-in administrator account which will be blank (i.e No password). This solution works only if your hard drive is FAT kind.

Method 2

Step 1. Put your hard disk of your computer in any other pc .
Step 2. Boot that computer and use your hard disk as a secondary hard disk (D'nt boot as primary hard disk ).
Step 3. Then open that drive in which the victim’s window(or your window) is installed.
Step 4. Go to location windows->system32->config
Step 5. And delete SAM.exe and SAM.log
Step 6. Now remove hard disk and put in your computer.
Step 7. And boot your computer

Here are four things I didn't know you could do in a google search until recently:

1. Fuzzy Search - Search for ~music player, and google searches for music player, mp3 player, audio player, and other words that have similar meanings to music.,
2. Number Ranges - Searches for a range of numbers, for example mp3 player 20..60 GB will match 20, 40, and 60GB mp3 players (and any other number inbetween).
3. Wildcard - When you place a * in your query, google will match any word in between. For example: apple * playe r matches apple ipod player, apple mp3 player, etc.
4. Search Page Title only - Use the allintitle: operator to search only page titles. For example: allintitle:ipod Searches for any page with ipod in the title. You can also use intitle: to match just one word.

View video files as thumbnails

While in thumbnails view in explorer of Win XP, we can see video's starting frame but only for some of the predefined video file's extensions like mpg, mpeg, avi but not for extensions like rmvb(Real media files) and 3gp & 3g2(Mobile video files)
Here we will just copy the settings of one extension to another through registry editor and we will be able to view their first frame in thumbnail just like as we are able with pre-defined files.
Note: Registry should be handled with care, I would recommend taking a backup before you do any changes in the registry. I don't take responsibility of any damage or loss incurred by users while implementing this tweak.

Steps For Doing It:

1> Open Registry Editor (By typing regedit at the Run prompt)
2> Select HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT and find .avi (any of the mpg,mpeg will do)
3> Export its registry settings (will be saved as *.reg)
4> Right click on *.reg file and select Edit
5> Now if you want *.divx files to be treated in the same way as *.avi files then just replace avi by divx in the file. Save it and execute it.
6> Repeat Step5 for various files of whom you want to change the behaviour.

Note:This doesnt work for *.vob files.

How to Make a Folder or File Super Hide

There are a few files in both windows XP and Vista which are super hide. Such files cannot be viewed by changing the hide folder option to view all hidden files. Well, if we can view them can we make any file/ folder super hidden?

So, why do we really need ?
To keep files/ folders more secure and safe.
Super hidden files/ folders become system files and changing the super hidden property of these files and folders is normally not possible.
Super hidden files/ folders cannot be viewed even if the “view hidden files and folders” setting is ticked.

Here’s a short tutorial to super hide files and folders. It works for both XP as well as Vista.

Firstly create a file with the name “jin”

Now, Go to Start> Run>cmd

Type attrib “filename or folder with complete path” +s +h (without quotes). For instance, if the folder you want to super hide is located in C: drive then the path is C:\jin. You need to type “attrib C:\jin +s +h” without the quotes.

That’s it the folder is now hidden. You can do the same with files as well.

Disable Booting Logo in Windows XP

One can remove the boot logo that appears when you start Windows XP. This little
tweak saves a few seconds of your boot time, but seconds count if you are serious about trying to get Windows XP up and running as quickly as possible. The only negative is that if you remove the boot logo, you will also not see any boot messages, such as check disk.

To remove the boot logo, follow these steps:
1. Select Start-->Run, type msconfig, and click OK.
2. In the System Configuration Utility, click the BOOT.INI tab.
3. On the BOOT.INI tab, click the NOGUIBOOT check box option. Click OK.
4. Restart your computer to check the results.

How To Disable Picture And Fax Viewer

We all know that WinXP likes to keep itself held together, and how it doesnt like you uninstalling certain components. Well The Picture and Fax Viewer, is one of these programs which can cause problems if removed incorrectly. It can be disabled safely as follows:

[Start] [Run] type regedit and click [OK]

Navigate to :

HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT/ SystemFileAssociations/ image/ ShellEx/ ContextMenuHandlers

then delete the Folder ShellImagePreview under ContextMenuHandlers

Note: If you want to restore the Picture and Fax Viewer :

Create the ShellImagePreview folder and create the String Value (Default)
Assign it the value {e84fda7c-1d6a-45f6-b725-cb260c236066}

NOTE: This tweak doesnt uninstall the program. It removes the association and therefore it cannot be run.

Working with Photoshop isn't that easy for both beginners and advanced users. There are times when applying a simple effect to your image can be so much time consuming. What follows is a list of often used(and much abused tools) tools and their shorcuts to make working with them second nature-we don't want to handle our tools clumsily while unleashing our creativity, do we?

H (Hand Tool) — When zoomed in to a portion of your photo, this command brings up the hand tool which allows quick panning.
B (Brush tool) — The brush is an extremely useful tool when working with masks, and I’m constantly using this command along with the hand and zoom tools.
Sift + B (Cycle through Brush tools)- Use this shortcut to bring up a list of other tools in brushes palette.
Z (Zoom Tool) — This command brings up the zoom tool, which allows you to zoom in.
Ctrl + 0 (Fit to Screen) — This is a command to get the entire photo in front of your eyes.
Ctrl + Z (Undo) — Very useful for going back one step...umm, mistake.
[ (Decrease Brush Size) — Decrease your brush size to get into tighter spots.
] (Increase Brush Size) — Increase your brush size for the larger spots.
Shift + [ (Decrease Brush Softness) — Decrease the softness of the brush by 25%.
Shift + ] (Increase Brush Softness) — Increase the softness of the brush by 25%.
Tab (Hide/Show Palettes) —With this you can show or hide your all palettes and take a quick look only on your picture
1->0 (Tool Opacity) — Pressing any number from 1 to 0 gives tool opacity from 10% to 100%.
Shift + 1->0 (Tool Flow) — This works the same like the opacity changer, but you have to hold the "Shift key" while you hit the numbers.
Ctrl + Tab (Next Point on Curves Adjustment) — you can place multiple points on the curve and adjust them accordingly when using the curves adjustment dialog. Use this command to switch focus from point to point without moving them around.
Right click (Brush Presets) — Right click on the image to bring up a list of brush Presets
E (Eraser tool) — Brings up the eraser tool.
Shift + E (Cycle through other tools in this group) Use this to Cycle through other tools in Eraser tools group this group.
R (Blur tool) — Brigs up the blur tool
Shift + R — Use it to cycle through other tools in blur tools group.
O (Dodge tool) — Brings up the dodge tool.

Folder locker is one of the most used application for windows to lock some personal files. There is some time when we forget the password and due to which we are not able to access some of our personal files/folders.

To unlock just follow simple steps : -

* Open “C:\WINDOWS”
* Then just find regedit
* Open It by double clicking there In The Left Side you will see Something like : HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE just click it.
* Then find the file name software In the list and open it.
* Then Find The Name called EverStrike…. doubleclick It…..
* You will see LF30 Just click it.
* On the right Side Some thing will appear out of those Select the file named Password & Delete It.

Recently Orkut added a feature which prevents any one from copying or saving your pictures from your albums in Orkut Profile. This is an automatic feature which will be activated for every profile. Here is a simple way to copy or save pictures from Orkut Albums :

Open the album where you want to copy the picture from.

Open the photo you want to copy.

Now Drag the Picture or Photo by Clicking on it and without releasing the mouse button drag it to the address bar of the browser.

The picture will be opened in a new window.

Right Click on the picture and click copy or save as to copy or save the picture.

1.Firstly, open notepad and copy the following code:

1. In the above code you need to replace ‘background image’ with the actual file name of the actual image file name. For instance, ‘jin.jpg’.

You can change the color code FFFFFF by changing these 6 digits with any desired color code.

2. Now, save it as “desktop.ini” without the quotes.

3. Place the “desktop.ini” file and your image file in your USB drive. You can hide the files if you want so that they won’t get deleted accidently.

4. Refresh or re-plug your USB device to see the new background for your USB drive window.

This trick will lock your desktop
TRICK 1:
First create a new shortcut on your desktop using a right mouse click
and enter 'rundll32.exe user32.dll,LockWorkStation' in the location field.
Name the shortcut what ever u want to like abc. Then just double click on it and your computer will be instantly locked

TRICK 2: The Windows key + L also does the same thing
AND THEN TO UNLOCK CLICK ON UR ACCOUNT NAME.....

It is hard to move or copy a file/s or folder/s to specific location. There is a option called “Send to” on context menu but it has some limitation. You can send content through it just few locations like.. My Documents, Floppy Disk etc. If You can add “Copy to” and “Move to” options on Right click(context menu) then it will increase your file/folder transfer facility. You can Copy and Move your content anywhere on your machine through Right click(context menu). I have described a registry trick following here.

Copy-paste following text in notepad and save it with .reg extension. And You will get 2 new options on your Right click.

What if you want to search a past scrap & you dont have a scrapbook searcher or what if you and you buddy are playing a game on your/his scrap(book)& you want the last 30/40 scraps ready availible. Then this is the right solution for you.

Just follow the trick & you can now view as many scraps as possible

* Open Friends scrapbook
* Get the URL from the address bar

It looks something like this
http://www.orkut.com/Scrapbook.aspx?uid=11172628476077275098

* Add "&na=&nst=&nid=&pageSize=30" at the end of the Url.

It will look like this http://www.orkut.com/Scrapbook.aspx?uid=11172628476077275098&na=&nst=&nid=&pageSize=30

30 over specifies that you can view 30 scraps of the scrapbook you are looking into.
