Ubisoft Settles Name Change With Indie Developer

To Yubi, Or Not To Ubi. That is the question. Similar to the situation between Bethesda and Mojang, Ubisoft has come in contact with the Super Ubi Land developer Andrew Augustin to change the games name to avoid taking legal actions against him.

Of course in the fight to keep Mojang's game as is, the legal battle between Bethesda's Elder Scrolls and Scrolls ended in a stalemate. Bethesda stating that they had a right to win a ridiculous court case because of a simple name seemed, well, ridiculous. Now Ubisoft may be seeing as it's their turn to go against an indie developer to prevent confusion. Super UBI Land, Ubisoft, it just doesn't seem confusing, to anyone. Unless the game were titled UbiLand but that isn't the case.

Andrew Augustin dev team Notion Games' first mobile title Up Up Ubi didn't get any trouble though. It's just gotten more hype now that the rising indie team is now an official Nintendo developer. The reason for the name change from Super Ubi Land to Super Yubi Land was to avoid legal actions from Ubisoft to Nintendo. The upcoming Nintendo title has been marketed as Super Ubi Land for a long time now, so it must have been very difficult to just now change the name. No shots were fired between companies from Nintendo or Ubisoft though, it's just that if the indie game were to be released for Nintendo, they wanted to be sure to avoid any legal issues with Ubisoft.

Just recently, Ubisoft have come in contact with the Ubi Indie Developer and have come to an agreement for the upcoming indie title. Notion Games' new title will be Super Ubie Land. Not as big of a change when compared to Yubi but it still works well. We've come in contact with Andrew Augustin to see how he's taken all this information.

Well we are a very small dev company. I (Andrew Augustin) am literally the only one doing the game art and programming while Calum Bowen does the music and Matthew Jones handles the story writing and general paperwork.

We had a previous game released on iOS in Jan, 2012 called "Up Up Ubi" where "Ubi" is the name of the character. The word "Ubi" is a word in many other languages and there are even places named Ubi. So we didn't figure there would be a problem to use the word. Also the name came about from us trying to figure out something "cute" that would go well with the words "Up Up" in the title.

There are many articles around the net that makes it seem as if Ubisoft banged down our doors to change the name. That definitely wasn't the case. Nintendo has approved our small studio as official developers and has been helping us here and there along the way. Nintendo was just a bit curious if there would be any problem using the word "Ubi" within the "Super Ubi Land" title. So just to make sure everything was fine, we sought out to get written approval from Ubisoft to ease Nintendo's mind. We have been marketing Ubi as a character for over a year now and we we're concerned because as a very small studio, we don't have the finances at all to do complete re-branding. So keeping the name of the character was a big issue for us. At the same time, we didn't want to have bad blood with anyone in the industry and we are very thankful to have the opportunity to be able to create whatever we want and however much we can produce for the Wii U.

Ubisoft overall was pretty understanding and at the same time wanted to protect their company name as well. We completely understand that because even we a small business would do the same. So after a couple of discussions, we've settled with the name "Ubie" and feel that should be enough to not confuse gamers. It also allows us to "re-brand" much much easier and everyone is happy. Ubisoft gets my respect for not only making great games that I grew up playing and even enjoy to this day, but also for taking it easy on us and understanding our point of view.

Metal Gear Solid: The Legacy Collection Revealed

Konami recently sent us a press release announcing Metal Gear Solid: The Legacy Collection!

Starting July 9, 2013; gamers can purchase Metal Gear Solid: The Legacy Collection for $49.99. This collection is loads better than the previous Metal Gear Collection released for the PlayStation 3, PlayStation Vita, and Xbox 360.

This collection will be available exclusively for the PlayStation 3 and will include the following games. Metal Gear Solid, Metal Gear Solid 2: HD Edition, Metal Gear Solid 3: HD Edition (which also includes the original MSX versions of Metal Gear and Metal Gear 2), Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker HD Edition, Metal Gear Solid: VR Missions, and last, but not least Metal Gear Solid 4: Trophy Edition.

Breaking Bad LEGO Video Game is Awesome

A Breaking Bad video game is something I could only dream of. This is what happens when you combine Breaking Bad with a LEGO video game.

At first I was a bit skeptical about seeing this parody, but after watching it I've come to the realization that a game like this could work if AMC and LEGO teamed up. It would be interesting to see how LEGO would respond to a game about making meth. Check out the video below.

Pacific Rim Trailer

Giant Mech's and Towering Kaiju's are here to battle in Guillermo Del Toro's newest film, Pacific Rim. The Wondercon trailer was released not too long ago and it's sure to keep you on the edge of your seat.

Guillermo Del Toro's films have always had a strange and likable niche to them. Pacific Rim seems to fit that niche quite well from what the trailer shows, while also adding a small sense of tribute to older monster movies titles (Godzilla series). We here at JM are excited to see how film of epic proportions will turn out when it hits theaters on July 5th.

Insomniac Games have been tight-lipped as of late when its come to answering any questions concerning the future for Ratchet and Clank. Well it looks like Ratchet & Clank have been preparing for their appearance on the big screen.

From Rainmaker Entertainment and Blockade Entertainment comes an unexpected animated film, Ratchet & Clank. For those who are not aware of these intergalactic heroes, I'll give you a quick rundown of R&C. Ratchet and Clank are two unique and popular video game icons. Space themes, awesome weapons, and unique worlds are what define the series. Their series of video game adventures trace back to 2002 where their first title 'Ratchet and Clank' was released on the PlayStation 2. From then on several installments for the series have been made exclusively to the Playstation (PS2 and PS3) consoles and PS (PSPand the PS Vita) handhelds alike.

Unfortunately we're all going to have to wait until 2015 to see this film. Still, I'm very excited to see how it will turn out. Are you as excited as we are? Let us know in the comments below.

Metal Gear Solid Legacy Collection Leaked

For those that are interested in picking up the Metal Gear Solid HD Collection, you might want to hold onto your cash for a while longer. It's never too late to get back into the Metal Gear Solid series so waiting a bit more shouldn't hurt, seeing as a legacy collection has been leaked online.

Coming from a Korean Game Rating Board, a new Legacy is clearly shown.

The release date for NA and other regions isn't known at this time. Currently there isn't anymore other information on this new collection other than the leak itself. We will keep you informed with any new information once we've found it. In the meantime, here's something to keep you entertained.

Incredible The Last of Us by David Vigil

David Vigil is back with some pretty awesome creations for The Last of Us.

Some of you may have seen David's work before with his leather Nathan Drake watch and gun holster. Check out the pictures below if you haven't.

David Vigil is a man who has been through a lot over the past year. You may have heard his story when Naughty Dog and gamers everywhere pulled together to donate and help David recover from cancer. Since then David has recovered and is doing quite well! He definitely is spreading his wings in the creativity department with these latest The Last of Us Creations.

The first is a cool key chain which represents the brick that Ellie uses in the game. Check it out below.

The next creation is even better. David has created a Clicker pencil holder!

David clearly has a load of talent and it's always a pleasure to see his newest creations. David is far from finished and we look forward to showcasing more of his amazing work in the near future.

Star Wars: Battlefront 3 Leaked Footage Shows What It Could've Been

New footage of what could have been Star Wars: Battlefront 3 has surfaced online. We have the scoop on the latest information.

After Disney's recent decision to close down LucasArts, fans everywhere have shown just how big or small of an impact their games have made on their lives. Several sour grapes were shown though, whether they were about their not-so-popular titles in most recent years or the lack of Star Wars: Battlefront 3 in their lives. Rumors upon rumors were made creating hype for years for a new Battlefront title. Spark Unlimited was rumored to be the team behind its creation for months until they revealed Lost Planet 3, but now, now we have a new light on the situation.

After years of people (including me) saying that LucasArts were doomed to fail because of poorly executed titles and the lack of communication between them and the fans, something good came out of waiting. LucasArts sadly went under recently and what soon followed was new leaked footage of what could have been Star Wars: Battlefront 3. Besides the first person shooter aspect of the game, it looked good for where it stood. Check out the video below before we continue this conversation.

Its a shame really, that if fans had known that they were listening to them all along, they'd of supported the team more. The only problem in the end was of course, communication. Whoever worked on this secret title all knew of the huge fanbase aching for a new Battlefront title:

“[There's] a very vocal audience that’s clamoring for Battlefront III,” a source told Kotaku. “We were hoping to eventually give it to them.”

Whether or not the entire game was canned isn't known but the chance of seeing a third installment isn't impossible. Disney did state when closing LucasArts something along the lines of: if a developer wanted to pick up the pieces that they would gladly hand them the keys to the car. If anyone were to pick up Star Wars: Battlefront 3, or reboot it at all, my vote would be for DICE.

If what the Battlefield 4 trailer released shows, it's what the Frostbite 3 Engine can accomplish. Keep in mind that the trailer footage for BF4 was only alpha footage and not the final product. Even as an alpha build of the game it looked damn impressive. I can only imagine what the possibilities could be if they were to pick up the Battlefront IP.

Killer Instinct 3

Thanks to news from a NeoGAF user, Killer Instinct 3 might actually happen!

Alright folks there isn't much in this world I ask for, but I have always said if Microsoft/Rare release a Killer Instinct for the Xbox then I would gladly make that purchase. I currently have been cracking out on Killer Instinct Gold for my Nintendo 64, reminiscing about those glory arcade days of my past. For years we have been teased with rumors and speculation about the possibility of Killer Instinct 3. The last report we had about Killer Instinct 3 coming to fruition was Microsoft's failed attempt to acquire the rights to the Killer Instinct name from FOX. All seemed lost... until now.

Recently some documents were released showing that both Microsoft and Fox have come to a mutual agreement on the use of the Killer Instinct name. This is great news for fans of the series, because this can only mean that Microsoft is looking into releasing a new Killer Instinct title! Nothing is set in stone on the possibility of a third installment, but things are looking bright at the moment. Hopefully soon I'll be able to hit some Ultra Combos with my vicious pal Sabrewulf.

David Hayter's Response To Not Being In MGSV

David Hayter has been in the news a lot recently when it's come to talk about Metal Gear Solid V. David recently wrote his response, directed to fans, on why he isn't in MGSV and several events surrounding work for the game.

Here’s a recap of events:

I have been up in Toronto, for the past eight months, directing my first film, (WOLVES -- 2013, TF1/COPPERHEART). On the December break, I came home to Los Angeles for the holidays. I heard then, that recording sessions for MG:V were being put together.

But I didn’t hear anything about whether I’d be needed or not.

So, I got in touch with someone involved in the production. We got together for lunch, and he told me that they "wouldn’t be needing me" on this game. No reason, or explanation was given beyond that.

And that was it.

I drove home through Laurel Canyon, bummed, and thinking about Snake.

To be clear, I love being a part of the world of Metal Gear. I admire its technological innovations, the gameplay, the political message of it all. But primarily, I love the fans of these games. Two grown men burst into tears upon meeting me at the Vancouver Fan Expo last year.

Now that... Is a rare and excellent role. You know you’re making an impact.

And I love doing it.

In 1998, I tried to do come up with a voice which epitomized the kind of worn, put-upon, genetically-engineered clone-soldier that I saw Snake to be. Over time, as the games became more stunning and visually sophisticated, I tried to transition that initial voice into the increasingly real environments in which Snake found himself. My level of success is up to you, but any perceived deficiencies were not for lack of hard work. I have dedicated a huge amount of time and effort into creating a compelling character, capable of expressing the myriad emotional, physical and psychological hurdles that Snake has to face.

Anyway, now it’s been fifteen years, nine games, and an enormous blast to undertake.

If it were my choice, I would do this role forever. To hear anyone else’s voice coming from Snake’s battered throat, makes me a little ill, to be honest.

But the truth is -- it’s not my choice. Any and all casting decisions are the sole purview of Hideo Kojima, and Konami itself. And that’s fair.

And I’ll get by. I am not lacking for employment on any level.

But I didn’t want anybody to think that I was intentionally abandoning them.

And know that I will miss this job, and this character, very much.

It sure isn't the end for David Hayter's role as Snake at all. It's up to Konami and Hideo Kojima to decide whether or not to let him voice him again sometime in the future.

Could David Hayter Still Have a Chance to Voice Naked Snake?

David Hayter has been the voice of a couple of "Snakes" for well over a decade and for some strange reason no one from Kojima Productions has approached Mr. Hayter to reprise his role. While many doubt Mr. Hayter's return, there is still a chance that he could be approached in the future.

David Hayter isn't just an average voice actor...he's an extraordinary one. His voice has brought the likes of Solid Snake and Naked Snake to life. The recent news of David Hayter not voicing the role of Naked Snake is an insult to many fans of the Metal Gear series. Can you imagine Nolan North being replaced by Robert Downey Jr. to voice Nathan Drake? I didn't think so.

This situation with David Hayter brings to mind another story of an iconic video game voice actor who almost got shafted out of a role he brought to life.

David Bateson has voiced the role of Agent 47 in the highly popular Hitman series since 2000. Just like the current case with Mr. Hayter, Mr. Bateson had not been contacted to reprise the role of Agent 47 for Hitman: Absolution. David Bateson stated that no representative from IO Interactive would answer his calls or emails and later stated that he had been dropped from the franchise altogether.

Fans obviously were not happy with this and there was some backlash to the news that Mr. Bateson would not reprise a role for a character that he helped shape. Fortunately during late Summer of last year, IO Interactive came to their senses and stated that David Bateson would be returning as Agent 47. Apparently Mr. Bateson's absence made the team realize they needed him, but I also think the backlash from fans of the series helped bring Mr. Bateson back.

It appears that David Hayter has found himself in the exact same position as David Bateson. There is a possibility that Kojima Productions will realize down the road that it is a grave mistake to replace Mr. Hayter with any other voice actor. A cheap mockery or imitation would be insulting to a man who helped mold a character for millions of fans.

There are already petitions to bring David Hayter back to the series and fan backlash is likely to grow over the coming months. History has proven that gamers can sway the opinion of developers, let's just hope that it works in the case of David Hayter and The Phantom Pain.

Let us know if you plan on supporting David Hayter's cause and if you are still going to purchase Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain and/or Ground Zeroes if David Hayter doesn't play Snake.

The Return of Pearlescent Weapons and New Additions To Borderlands 2

Those who have been following the recent news for Borderlands 2 should be patiently waiting for upcoming DLC and a level cap increase. What about updates like an extra playthrough, eridium additions, the return of the ever popular Borderlands weapons, and Pearlescent-grade weapons? Sounds good doesn't it?

Cling iOS Review

A new title from First 5 Games has hit the App Store. It's what their team like to call the world's first "pegformer", a challenging new experience in the world of Cling.

Introduction

Cling is one of few iOS games that takes advantage of one simple fact: the game is on a touchscreen device. It doesn't try to stray away from simple on-the-go gameplay to impress those wanting a high end experience and ending up getting under-worked clunky controls. The world's first pegformer, Cling, is a game unlike any other that I've played in recent memory. It attempts to be a challenging new experience, and does so seamlessly.

Presentation 6/10

From the get-go I didn't seem too wowed by the look and feel of the game but as you progress through more and more stages, the game starts to grow on you. The main character and other creatures are unique and simple, that's how they should be. The game is presented nicely but could use a lot of polish. Like having good sound in films, having a blockbuster film with incredible visuals isn't going to make a difference in the end if the audio isn't up to par.

The lack of sound effects, music, and polish is what really keeps me from playing this game longer than a regular on-the-go session. If any of this gets added in a future update I'll be more satisfied with it. In the meantime, I'll have music playing in the background to keep my attention on the excellent gameplay.

Gameplay 9/10

Cling's gameplay is just what it sounds like when reminded that it is a pegformer. The name of the game is simple. Get your peg clinging creature that goes by the name of Edgar from point A to B as fast as possible to earn a ranking from bronze to silver. As you progress through stages, more and more ways to play the game are added. From pegs that move your character away, to pegs with spikes, to electric block enemies that want to ruin your day, the game finds more and more ways to give the player varied gameplay.

Replay Value 7/10

With every iOS or mobile title, the developers for those games have to consider that players have the option to delete their game if they get bored with it or delete it if they need some extra space to add more content onto their device. With newer content hitting app stores daily, adding replay value is priority number one. Nobody wants to continue playing a game if there's nothing to unlock or have fun with the game once it's finished.

Cling is not a game to let players down in this aspect though. There are plenty of unique unlocks, levels, and content to keep players occupied, and even though it could use some extra polish, it's still good enough to keep in the games section of your device.

OVERALL VALUE 7/10

If Cling had a better soundtrack and more polish, It'd be one of my top 5 iOS games this year. It just falls short at number 7. The game has a ton to offer, no doubt, but it just doesn't hit that sweet spot that all mobile gamers are wanting in their collection. Cling is a great new concept from First 5 Games and I am happy that I got that chance to review it and experience it first hand. If you can put all negativity to the side, i'm sure you'll enjoy this in one way or another.

Ride 'Em Rigby Review

I normally don't review iOS titles, but for Regular Show I'll make an exception.

Introduction

It's been a while since I've played an iOS title that has kept my attention. The most recent title was Notion Games' Up Up Ubi back in 2012. I'm predominately a console gamer, but every now and then a game will catch my eye that I simply must play. A couple of months back while watching cartoons with my son I saw an advertisement for a mobile game called Ride 'Em Rigby. I finally got around to playing the game and I really wish I would have downloaded it sooner!

Presentation 9/10

Ride 'Em Rigby is a game based off one of my favorite shows... Regular Show. What's really awesome about this game is that it's based off of an actual episode of the show, in which Rigby must be mentored by Muscle Man while being strapped to a harness. During the show if Rigby failed to stay attached to Muscle Man for a certain duration of time he would be fired from the park.

Ride 'Em Rigby sets itself up to be an awesome game from the start. There is an intense soundtrack as well as dramatic sound effects from both Rigby and Muscle Man as the chaotic run ensues. The game looks well polished and you get the sense that you are in an official Regular Show atmosphere. There are also some special appearances by other beloved characters from the show by either making it to the finish line or activating a power up.

Gameplay 7/10

While Ride 'Em Rigby is aesthetically pleasing, the gameplay suffers some minor flaws. The game comes with two modes which is fair considering the game only costs .99, but it follows the same formula as many other games today. The challenge mode is set up in an Angry Birds-ish format while the Endless mode is well just endless.

Actual gameplay is fairly simple. Tapping the right screen once allows Rigby to jump over short objects while tapping the right screen twice will allow Rigby to double jump over higher obstacles. You can also hold the left side of the screen will allow Rigby to duck and travel through pipes. These are very simple controls for a very simple game.

There are certain power ups that are available during gameplay. Some of these power ups can summon unicorns to destroy obstacles, give Rigby an extra health boost, give Rigby a power jump, and much more. Power-ups can be a help, but at times they can also be a nuisance. I noticed several times when I activated the Starla power-up she destroys an obstacle that explodes and it can still damage you. This can become quite annoying if you are playing endless mode and trying to multiply points to get a higher score.

Replay Value 9/10

There is quite a bit of replay value for Ride 'Em Rigby. While the challenge mode can get old quick there are some achievements you can unlock. The main fun factor is the endless mode. Trying to gain a top spot on the leaderboard is one of the most popular features in the game. I have spent hours trying to outdo my previous score and I am currently sitting at 47 out of 36,634... see if you can beat it.

OVERALL VALUE 8/10

I really enjoy Regular Show and this game did the show justice. If you are a fan of the show then you should download this title immediately. You may get tired of games with the same formula, but there is the addicting factor and there is loads of fun to be had with this simple little game. Sega is getting ready to announce their new project on the 28th of March. As of now, what can be said is all up to speculation. The mysterious website is below. From the look of it, the area looks like a field of some sort with sand flowing as an indication of time. I'm stumped if this website gives any clues, if all.

Five Rare PlayStation 3 Games

Before the PlayStation 4 releases and starts to gain momentum with gamers, we want to take a look at five rare PlayStation 3 titles.

It seems like it was yesterday when the PS3 launched and graced us with it's glory. Time has flown right by! Fall of this year will mark 7 years of the PS3 and the inevitable launch of the PS4. With time comes nostalgia and more value to some of the PlayStation 3's awesome and not so awesome games. Let's go ahead and take a look into five rare games for the PS3.

Marvel vs Capcom 2: Used: $15-$50 New: $100 - $200

What's interesting about Marvel vs Capcom 2 is that it's an old game, yet it still finds rarity in today's market. Back in 2009 Capcom re-re-released Marvel vs Capcom 2, but only digitally. A special cased version of the game was released on the PS3 that came with a downloadable voucher for Marvel vs Capcom 2. Yes... that means people bought a case with no physical copy of a game inside. While I thought this was a silly thing to do back then, apparently it has become quite the collectors item in recent years. Used copies for the case only can range anywhere between $15-$50 while unopened copies have sold between $100-$200. If you have an unopened copy of this game I suggest you hold onto it, because the value is likely to increase over time.

Demon's Souls: Black Phantom Edition Used: $50-$70 New: $100-$200

Demon's Souls would be an extremely rare and valuable game if it never got a US release, but thanks to a high demand for the game, Atlus published Demon's Souls in the US. There was also a deluxe edition available for pre-order in the states, however the Demon's Souls: Black Phantom Edition publsihed by Namco Bandai can catch you a pretty penny if you own it. This edition was exclusive to Europe only and features a black phantom on the cover, exclusive soundtrack, art book, and strategy guide. The game usually sells anywhere between $50-$70 used or $100-$200 brand new.

Heavy Rain: Limited Edition: Used: $50-$60 New: $200 - $300

Heavy Rain is a great game and this limited edition is one of the finest sets available for the PS3. Used copies of this game still sell for around the price of a newly released PS3 game and newer copies of the game have sold anywhere between $200-$300. This set was not available in America and was an exclusive pre-order incentive overseas. If you happen to have a copy of this game make sure to hold on to it!

NBA Elite 11 Used: $500 New: $1000-$2000

NBA Elite 11 is apparently a very very horrible game, but it's also one of the rarest and hardest to find on the PS3. While the game doesn't take the number one spot there are apparently 8-15 copies in the entire world. How can this be? Back in 2010 before the game's initial release, EA reviewed the game internally and found that it had too many problems and decided to can it. No one knows how copies of this game got into circulation, but it's definitely a collector's item. I project that over the years the value of this game will increase simply because of it's rarity.

Uncharted 2: Among Thieves Fortune Hunter Edition Used: $7,000 - $10,400 New: ?

Uncharted 2: Among Thieves is a crowned jewel for the PlayStation 3. Winning many game of the year awards in 2009, this game has got to be one of the most influential and successful games exclusively available to the PS3. It's no shock to hear that the Uncharted 2: Among Thieves Fortune Hunter Edition sells extremely high. This collector's item was exclusively given out to random players in the Uncharted 2 beta, as well as a few cinema events. According to reports only 200 of these bad boys exist! Prices for this collector's piece has risen drastically over the past several years and it's hard to determine exactly how much a new copy can sell for. The last known used copy sold for about $10,393 back in October of 2012! If you happen to have this I recommend holding onto it for as long as you can, it may be worth six figures someday!

The Hangover Part III Official Trailer

We're a little late to the party on this, but here is the first official trailer for The Hangover Part III.

We've seen a lot of Hangover activity this past week. We got an official look at the first teaser poster and now we get to finally see what kind of trouble the boys are getting into this time.

I have mixed feelings about the trailer, but I think it looks promising. It is great to see the series going back to it's roots and not just another carbon copy of the previous two movies. There seems to be some intensity in the air throughout the trailer and a nice formula change to the series would be nice. Of course Alan clearly has an obsession with circus animals and it appears this time he gets a giraffe.

Five Repulsive PS3 Trophies

With all the silly controversy surrounding God of War: Ascension lately, we decided to list 5 trophies that could be considered just as bad as the "Bros before Hos" trophy.

The gaming world was recently rocked by Adam Sessler's disgust for the "Bros before Hos" trophy in God of War: Ascension; even though there were a couple of things he was ill-informed about.

Original-Gamer wrote an excellent piece that explained that the trophy was actually not about hatred and violence towards women. Sessler failed to see that the trophy was geared more towards Orkos helping out Kratos in his time of need. Check out the video below for reference.

The irony of the situation is that according to God of War: Ascension director Todd Papy, a female producer came up with the name for the trophy!

Unfortunately since we must nit-pick and throw a hissy fit over the title of a trophy and make false accusations, why don't we take a look at some other inappropriate trophies.

Obedience School - God of War III

Deliver 50 kicks to Hounds.

This has got to be the most disgusting act in any God of War game! Screw the "Bros before Hos" nonsense, this is abuse to poor innocent demon hounds that should not be overlooked. It is quite cruel and disgusting the way Kratos treats these poor innocent creatures from the depths of the underworld, and it should not be overlooked. I say we start a petition to get this trophy removed from the game completely! Someone contact PETA because we obviously have some Michael Vick lovers in the gaming industry!

Little Pecker - Fat Princess

Kill an enemy as a chicken in an online game.

This has got to be one of the most disgusting things I have ever heard of. It's no wonder Titan Studios dissolved, especially after this grotesque display of immaturity. Fat Princess is a game made for a younger audience. They should not throw in a trophy called Little Pecker thinking their little inside joke is funny when in reality it is insensitive and inappropriate to people who suffer from TPS. I say we boycott Fat Princess and show that we will not allow such filth to penetrate; or should I say attempt to penetrate our gaming culture.

Dastardly - Red Dead Redemption

Place a hogtied woman on the train tracks, and witness her death by train.

Referring to a female as a ho is one thing... kidnapping one and placing her on a train track only to watch her get splattered is another. Red Dead Redemption is promoting hatred towards women by telling gamers that it's OK to kidnap a woman, hogtie her, and watch her explode into a million pieces by a oncoming train. Those sickos at Rockstar deserve to burn in fiery hell fire for condoning such activity!

Cheney? - Payday: The Heist

Defeat a Bulldozer with a shotgun.

This blatant lack of respect to the greatest Vice President of all time shows just how politically insensitive the folks at Overkill Software are. It's not Cheney's fault that the guy he was hunting with just so happened to put his face next to Cheney's gun. Every true red blooded American knows that it was an accident yet these people decide to poke fun at a national treasure such as Dick Cheney. I pray that not only this trophy gets removed, but the game as well!

Harder Dick's Balls - Pain

Get all of Dick's Balls in the Block Party Dumpster without resetting the scene.

Yet another disgusting and perverted display in gaming. The developers behind the early PSN title Pain really have a hard on for making sick jokes. This game, like Fat Princess, is rated T for Teens, and promoting such a graphic term as a trophy title is sick and demented to the honest youth in today's culture! Even the crude shape of an erect penis is made in the trophy image! This is yet another game that deserves to be taken out of the PSN library and completely obliterated.

We here at DSN hope you enjoyed our piece on five offensive trophies, but we would like to end this piece on a more serious note.

Everyone in the world has their own personal views and opinions on various topics and whether people agree or disagree is completely up to them. The fact of the matter is that Mr. Sessler made a ill-informed rant about something so small that it is now forcing a company to make a change that shouldn't be made. I know I am not alone here when I say that Sony Santa Monica should leave the "Bros Before Hos" title alone and ignore the silly negative press.

There is no wrong doing on SSM's part and no one should get offended over the name of a trophy. If that's the case, I'm sure their are a couple of dozen trophies out there that could be taken as offensive, yet this is the first time I hear of such madness. It's ridiculous to bring down a game simply over the title of a trophy.
