A product needs to be designed, developed, tested, documented, marketed and supported. devs only thing about the first two.

How do you get values for helper.ViewContext.RequestContext and helper.RouteCollection?

Vincent, how do get it working without a “using System.Web.Routing;”?

I know you wrote it a few years ago, but I’m hoping you’ll remember
How did you go “to the source of the chart library and copied the original style for “Background” “? Where did you find the original source? Because I would like to change some things for other controls, but I don’t know how to ‘build’ the template to make it resemble the original.

Steve call it like this Html.ImageActionLink(… instead of MVCUtil.Helper.ImageActionLink(
this way you do not pass the HtmlHelper helper parameter. Standard thing, when writing your own helpers.
Make sure you import the namespace in the header

Hi. Thanks a lot for your code. It is very helpful.
There is one mistake in your code:
int swapPosition = i + m_random.Next(size – i);
In this case, swapping will occur only within first symbols of “size” length. So we won’t get fully random subset, but random subset of the first symbols in array.
The correct is:
int swapPosition = i + m_random.Next(m_sourceArray.Count – i);

Hi,

I’m a long-time developer, but completely new to MS programming. I could really use this helper/extension, but I can’t figure out where to put it (what file/folder location) and what “using” statements I need to get it to work. I’ve created a Helpers folder with a namespace “PBA.Helpers”, after my app name. I’ve included the code in there, but I’m getting a compile error for TypeDescriptor, and the call in the view is not recognized. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I feel like if I can see how this is put together it will help me make sense of a lot of other things in the MVC 3 framework. (Love it so far, btw.)
