Ronald William George Barker, OBE was born on the 25th of September 1929 and sadly passed away on the 3rd of October 2005.

Ronnie was one of my favourite comedians. He was best known for his roles as Norman Stanley Fletcher in the British comedy television series Porridge, also as Albert Arkwright in the British comedy television series Open All Hours.

I painted this small portrait of Ronnie in 2004 after purchasing and watching a complete series of Porridge. I photogaraphed the painting as shown below during the painting to show the development of the painting.

This painting is from the 1983 film “Scarface” where Al Pacino plays Tony Montana. A remake of Howard Hawks’ original 1932 film of the same title, the film tells the story of a fictional Cuban refugee who comes to Florida in 1980 as a result of the Mariel Boatlift. Montana becomes a gangster against the backdrop of the 1980s cocaine boom.

Robert Peter Maximilian Williams was born on the 13th of February 1974.

An English singer-songwriterwho started his career as a member of the pop “boy band” Take That in 1990, then going on to leave the band in 1995 to begin his solo career, after selling 25 million records with the group.

His album sales stand at over 95 million, with singles sales over 40 million.

I painted this painting from a small cut out, reason being because I liked the reflection in the Sunglasses, I think that it very atmospheric. I decided to paint this in a black and white style.

Audrey Hepburn was born Audrey Kathleen Ruston on May 4, 1929 in Brussels, Belgium.

She won the 1953 Academy Award for Best Actress for Roman Holiday. She was nominated for Best Actress four more times; for Sabrina, The Nun’s Story, Breakfast at Tiffany’s, and Wait Until Dark.

For her 1967 nomination, the Academy chose her performance in Wait Until Dark over her critically acclaimed performance in Two for the Road. She lost to Katharine Hepburn (in Guess Who’s Coming to Dinner).
