When deciding what to add to the content of your website, its important to keep in mind the search terms you are promoting to attract visitors.

If your website offers professional resume services, it would not do well to discuss dog collars. You may get an increase of visitors, but not people looking for professional resume services.

Targeting content to your audience is very important for sales and building a community.

Whenever possible, use the keyword phrases you believe prospects will use to find you in search engines. If your website is about printing services, use words and phrases related to printing when possible, reflecting your site’s topic. Also include keywords, when possible, in your headings (h1-h5 tags) and title tag.

Keywords are an important factor in ranking on search engines and increasing traffic for your website.

When researching keywords, there are a few tricks to help you select the right keywords to achieve your goals.

1. Google Adwords Keyword Tool is a great way to research the volume of searches on specific keywords and phrases. By using Google Adwords, you can view the competition for keywords and it will provide alternative keywords related to the word you are researching.

2. If there is a lot of competition for a keyword, the possibility to making it to the top of search engines decreases. An alternative is to use a less competitive keyword or phrase to help target your market.

3. Don't stuff your site with keywords, but include variations of your keyword phrases throughout your site. Include your keyword and phrase in:

Overselling Hosting Accounts - Potential Disaster!

There is a common misconception that "more-for-less" is best in web host selection; yet, to provide "more-for-less" hosting requires a company to oversell.

If managed carefully, overselling hosting accounts wouldn't cause any interference to other hosting accounts on a server; but, if not properly managed and monitored, it can lead to potential disaster for the hosting clients.

By overselling resources, a web host is predicting that their clients will not use the resources alloted to them. But, if one or more clients maximize the usage of the resources the web host provides, the result could be low resource availability, causing long periods of downtime, slow site load times, and continuous server failures.

Always keep in mind that no host can provide 100% uptime, but regular downtime ranging from hours to days can affect your SEO, visitors, and business. Regardless of your SEO efforts, every time your website is unavailable could setback your SERPs.
